냉간 압연강 판재 기계적 접합부의 인장-박리 피로 강도 (Peel-tension Fatigue Strength of Mechanical Press Joints of Cold Rolled Steel Sheet)

  • Peel-tension fatigue experiments were conducted for investigating on fatigue strength of mechanical press joints of SPCC steel sheet used in the field of the automobile industry. In addition, finite element method analysis on the peel-tension specimen was conducted using HyperMesh and ABAQUS softwares. The cold rolled mild steel was used to join the T-shaped peel-tension specimen with a button diameter of 5.4 mm and a punch diameter of 8.3 mm. The fatigue limit load amplitude was found to be 112.4 N at the number of cycles 106, indicating that the ratio of fatigue limit load to static peel-tension strength was about 8%. This value suggests that the mechanical press joint is highly vulnerable to peel-tension load rather than to tensile-shear load, considering that the ratio of fatigue limit load to static tensile-shear strength was about 43%. Fatigue failure mode was found to be interface-failure mode.

  • The objectives of this research are to establish the criteria of peel occurrence considering the shape of bond terminus and to compare the strength properties of some adhesive joints. The criteria of feel occurrence at the bond terminus was suggested. Peel loads of some adhesive joint(butt joint, T -shape specimen, single lap joint) were determined from tensile tests. Principal stress distributions of these joints were determined from finite element method analysis. Then, peel occurrence was estimated with intensity of stress singularity ' $K_{prin.}$' when the terminus shape was square, with average principal stress when the terminus shape was rounded. The conclusions are summarized as follows; (1) In the non-filleted model(e.g., butt joint, T-shape specimen), principal stress shows singularity at the bond terminus, intensity of stress(principal stress) singularity ' $K_{prin.}$&apso; can use as the criteria of peel occurrence at the bond terminus. (2) In the filleted model(e.g., single lap joint), principal stress doesn't show singularity at the bond terminus. Average principal stress can use as the criteria of peel occurrence at the bond terminus.'t show singularity at the bond terminus. 산초(山椒)의 이물허용치에 대한 각국의 약전 비교연구 (The Comparative Study on Zanthoxylum Peel's Impurity Tolerance Based on Pharmacopoeia by Countries)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to determine the impurity tolerance of Zanthoxylum Peel. Methods : Compare with medicinal Herb Books and the Pharmacopoeia of 6 nations. Results : Current Pharmacopoeia show different Zanthoxylum Peel's Purity, such as 2.0% of seeds and fruit stalk, etc. in North Korea, 2% of seeds in Vietnam, totally 3% in China. On the other hand, Korea and Japan set the total number 26.0% including the specific numbers such as 20.0% of seeds, 5.0% of fruit stalk, 1.0% of the other foreign matter. This Zanthoxylum Peel's Purity, 26.0%, is too high compared to that of other medical matters specified by The Korean Pharmacopoeia Ninth Edition. When The Japanese Pharmacopoeia Sixth Edition firstly set the Zanthoxylum Peel's Purity, the herbal name was Fructus. However, since the part for medical usage in origin is well-ripen pericarp, not seed, the permissible level, 30.0%, is supposed to be simple error range, 3.0%. Conclusions : As a result, I think bills concerning the Zanthoxylum Peel's Purity should be revised to the total number 3.0% or specifically set the level 2.0% of seeds, 1.0% of fruit stalk, twig and so on.

자색 콜라비 가식부와 껍질 에탄올 추출물의 항산화 활성 및 암세포 증식 억제효과 (Effects of Purple Kohlrabi (Brassica oleracea var. gongylodes) Flesh and Peel Ethanol Extracts on the Antioxidant Activity and Antiproliferation of Human Cancer Cells)

  • This study examines the effects of purple Kohlrabi fresh and peel ethanol extracts on the antioxidative activity and antiproliferation of human cancer cells (Hep G2 human liver, HCT-116 human colon, and A549 human lung cancer cells.) The total flavonoid and anthocyanin content of purple Kohlrabi ethanol extracts were much greater in the peel than in the flesh. The DPPH radical scavenging activity and antioxidative index of purple Kohlrabi peel extracts were similar to those of the BHA and the BHT. Antiproliferation effects of purple Kohlrabi peel extracts on human cancer cells (Hep G2, HCT-116, and A549) strengthened in a dose-dependent manner. In particular, the antiproliferation activity of purple Kohlrabi peel extracts exceeded 40% in colon cancer cells. These results indicate that the purple Kohlrabi peel may contain bioactive compounds such as flavonoids as well as anthocyanin and that these compounds may facilitate cancer prevention.

미성숙 진귤 과피 추출물이 신경세포 사멸에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Immature Citrus sunki Peel Extract on Neuronal Cell Death)

  • The peel of Citrus sunki exhibits multiple biological activities such as anti-oxidant, anti-inflammation and anti-obesity, but little is known about neurodegeneration-related activities. In this study, we investigated the protective effect of ethanolic extract from both immature and mature Citrus sunki peel on neuronal cell death. Treatment of the neuroblastoma cell line SH-SY5Y with $MPP^+$, an inducer of Parkinson disease model, increased cell death in a dose dependent manner. Increased levels of active caspase-3 and cleaved PARP were detected. Treatment with immature Citrus sunki peel extract significantly reduced $MPP^+$-induced neurotoxicity. Cytoprotection with immature Citrus sunki peel extract was associated with a decrease in caspase-3 activation and PARP cleavage. In contrast, mature Citrus sunki peel extract had no significant effects. These data suggest that immature Citrus sunki peel extract may exert anti-apoptotic effect through the inhibition of caspase-3 signaling pathway on $MPP^+$-induced neuronal cell death.

Characterization of Soluble Dietary Fibers from Wax Gourd (Benincasa hispida) Pulp and Peel

  • The physicochemical and in vitro physiological properties of soluble dietary fiber (SDF) from wax gourd (Benincasa hispida) pulp and peel were investigated. The pulp was composed of 11.4% SDF and 24.3% insoluble dietary fiber (IDF), while the peel contained 3.2% SDF and 43.3% IDE The predominant sugar in the SDF of the wax gourd pulp and peel was uronic acid, followed by galactose and rhamnose. The SDFs from the wax gourd pulp and peel gave similar elution patterns, with 4 main neutral sugar and uronic acid peaks eluted by 0.4, 0.5, 1, and 2 M ammonium acetate buffer. The pulp SDF had a much higher glucose retardation index (GRI) than the peel SDF for all measurement times. The pulp SDF showed strong growth-inhibiting activity against Escherichia coli and Clostridium perfringens, whereas the peel SDF produced strong growth-promoting activity against Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium infantis, and Lactobacillus brevis when compared to glucose.

감과육 및 껍질의 유용성분 및 가공이용에 관한 연구 (Studies on Valuable Components and Processing of Persimmon Flesh and Peel)

  • 감과육과 곶감 제조시에 폐기되는 많은 양의 감껍질의 유효성분을 비교 조사하였다. 감껍질은 과육부보다 조단백질, 조지방 및 조회분 함량이 높았으며 그 중 조지방 및 조단백질의 함량이 크게 높았고 가용성 탄닌의 함량은 과육이 다소 높았다. 총당의 함량은 과육부의 함량이 크게 높았으며 구성당의 조성은 껍질부가 과육부보다 glucose와 fructose가 각각 약 절반씩 함유되어 있었으며 sucrose의 함량은 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 전아미노산 함량은 껍질부가 과육부보다 높은 함량을 나타내었으나 유리아미노산은 과육부가 껍질부보다 오히려 높았다. 감과육의 주요 지방산은 oleic acid, palmitic acid 및 linoleic acid 였으며 감껍질은 oleic acid, linoleic acid 및 palmltic acid의 순으로 많았으며 특히 불포화지방산의 함량이 높았다. 과육분말 및 껍질분말을 이용하여 당과자를 제조하였으며 $5{\sim}10%$ 첨가할 경우 기호성이 인정되었으며 곶감떡의 경우 감 절편(slice)제품은 $10{\sim}20%$ 첨가시 기호도가 향상되었으나 껍질은 기호도가 낮았다. 감과육분말을 이용하여 개발한 죽제품의 경우 과육 3%외에 쌀가루, 찹쌀가루, 옥수수전분, 탈지분유 등을 첨가하였을 때 기호도가 높게 나타났으나 껍질로서는 죽제품의 개발이 어려웠다.

치마버섯을 이용한 진피 발효 배양물의 항산화 및 항염 효과 (Anti-Oxidant Effect and Anti-Inflammatory of Fermented Citrus unshiu Peel Extract by using Schizophyllum commune)

  • 감귤은 국내 및 동남아시아 지역에서 많이 즐기는 식품 중 하나이며, 이러한 감귤류의 껍질을 건조시킨 것을 진피라고 한다. 이러한 진피는 한방에서는 이뇨작용, 비장기능을 강화하는 것으로 알려져 있으나, 천연 플라보노이드를 다량 함유하고 있어 학계에서 여러 분야로 연구가 되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 플라보노이드 배당체를 함유한 진피 추출물을 ${\beta}$-glucosidase 효소를 이용하여 아글리콘(aglycone)으로 변환 할 수 있도록 치마버섯 배양을 실시하였다. 진피 발효 배양액을 HPLC를 이용하여 분석하였으며, UVA에 의한 광손상 보호능을 섬유아세포를 이용하여 측정하였다. 진피 발효 배양액은 COX-2, LOX-5와 같은 항염증 관련 대사에도 관여하여 염증완화에도 도움을 줄 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 각질 형성세포를 이용한 interleukin-$1{\alpha}$를 측정한 결과 진피발효배양액 처리군의 저해활성이 더 높았다. 이러한 결과로 미루어 볼 때, 진피발효 배양액은 피부에 대한 항염 및 항산화 효과가 우수한 것으로 사료된다.

감귤분말을 첨가한 스펀지 케이크의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Sponge Cake added with Citrus peel Powder)

  • 본 연구는 감귤과피 분말을 10, 20, 30, 40%로 첨가하여 스펀지케이크의 반죽의 비중, pH, 부피, 무게, 색도, 조직감을 측정하고, 관능검사를 실시하였다. 스펀지케이크의 비중과 무게는 대조군의 비중은 0.50, pH는 6.83로 10~40% 첨가군까지 유의적으로 감소하였다. 무게는 대조군이 305.3 g으로 가장 낮게 나타났으며, 10~40% 첨가군은 유의적으로 증가하였다. 케이크의 높이는 대조군이 6.88 cm, 부피는 708.00 mL, 비용적은 $2.32cm^3/g$으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 10~40% 첨가군은 유의적으로 감소하는 차이를 나타났다. 감귤과피 분말을 첨가한 케이크의 색도 L(명도)은 대조군이 46.43으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 40% 첨가군이 29.31로 가장 낮게 나타냈다. b(황색도)는 대조군이 31.03으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 40% 첨가군이 18.03으로 가장 높은 값을 나타냈다. 감귤과피 분말 첨가량이 증가할수록 a, b값은 유의적으로 감소하게 나타났다. 조직감의 측정결과로 탄력성(springiness), 응집성(cohesiveness)은 대조군이 높게 나타났으며, 감귤과피 분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 관능검사에서는 맛(taste), 종합적인기호도(overall acceptability)에서 감귤과피 분말 10% 첨가군이 가장 우수하게 나타났다. 이와 같이 본 실험을 통하여 감귤과피 분말 10%를 첨가하면 건강 지향적인 측면을 고려한 스펀지케이크 상품으로 개발이 가능한 적절한 배합비로 사료되었다.
