  • This research is to know about how $VO_2peak$ effects on Abdominal circumference, Blood lipids and blood presure with diabetes patients. After that, we have reached the final decision. in terms of the patients, there is significant indication that Abdominal circumference and HDL-cholesterol are related to $VO_2peak$. And Non-patients and $VO_2peak$ are related to each other though. $VO_2peak$ of the patients significantly effects on Abdominal circumference. Also, $VO_2peak$ of Nom-patients are same in aspect of Diastolic blood pressure As for Abdominal circumference, $VO_2peak$, High-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, Triglyceride, blood pressure, they are significantly associated to each other For These reasons, we have suggested that $VO_2peak$ seems to be possible to be handled by monitoring index for dangerous factors. Futhermore, exercise is really regarded as the best way of improving Cardiopulmonary capacity.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between impact and shear peak force, and tibia-accelerometer variables during running. Method: Twenty-five male heel strike runners (mean age: 23.5±3.6 yrs, mean height: 176.3±3.3 m/s, mean mass: 71.8±9.7 kg) were recruited in this study. The peak impact and anteroposterior shear forces during treadmill running (Bertec, USA) were collected, and impact shock variables were computed by using a triaxial accelerometer (Noraxon, USA). One-way ANOVA was used to test the influence of the running speed on the parameters. Pearson's partial correlation was used to investigate the relationship between the peak impact and shear force, and accelerometer variables. Results: The running speed affected the peak impact and posterior shear force, time, slope, and peak vertical and resultant tibial acceleration, slope at heel contact. Significant correlations were noticed between the peak impact force and peak vertical and resultant tibia acceleration, and between peak impact average slope and peak vertical and resultant tibia acceleration average slope, and between posterior peak (FyP) and peak vertical tibia acceleration, and between posterior peak instantaneous slop and peak vertical tibial acceleration during running at 3 m/s. However, it was observed that correlations between peak impact average slope and peak vertical tibia acceleration average slope, between posterior peak time and peak vertical and resultant tibia acceleration time, between posterior peak instantaneous slope and peak vertical tibial acceleration instantaneous slope during running at 4 m/s. Conclusion: Careful analysis is required when investigating the linear relationship between the impact and shear force, and tibia accelerometer components during relatively fast running speed.

  • Functional activities of low molecular weight substances purified from pepsin hydrolysates of four different seaweeds; Costaria costata, Enteromorpha prolifera, Grateloupia filicina and Porphyra tenera, were inves-tigated. Each pepsin hydrolysate of Costaria costata, Enteromorpha prolifera, and Grateloupia filicina resulted in three peptide peaks on Bio-Rad P2 gel chromatography pattern, while that of Porphyra tenera showed 2 peaks. Peak 1 of Porphyra tenera showed the highest antioxidative activity followed by peak 2 of Porphyra tenera and peak 2 of Costaria costata in order Peak 1 of Porphyra tenera showed the highest ACE inhibitory activity followed by peak 3 and peak 2 of Enteromorpha prolifera in order. Peak 1 and peak 2 of Porphyra tenera, and peak 2 of Enteromorpha prolifera showed the highest antityrosinase activity followed by peak 3 of Enteromorpha prolifera. Peak 1 of Enteromorpha prolifera showed the highest antitumor activity followed by peak 2 of Costaria costata, peak 3 of Enteromorpha prolifera, and peak 3 of Grateloupia filicina in order. Porphyra tenera showed the highest functional activities, which is thought to be due to its high protein content. Structure and amino acid sequence of low molecular weight peptide of Porphyra tenera should be analyzed in the further study.

  • In this paper, proposed peak detector for the measurement of pulse radiation dose. The speed of the pulse radiation signal is the between a few ns and tens ns. Therefore, it is difficult to measure peak voltage. Peak Detector maintains the peak voltage generated from the sensor for a few ms and the converted signals can be easily measured using the ADC. The peak detector simulation results peak value remained of more than 1ms. Pulse radiation irradiation test results, a dose of $1.95{\times}10^6rad/s$ was measured.

  • The ultraviolet and infrared spectra of dioxane lignin from bamboo were investigated. 1. Spectrum curve type considerably resembled that of wood lignin. There were 3 absorption peak positions at 210nm(max. peak), at 260-270nm(shallow mini. peak), at 280nm(lower max. peak) as in the wood lignin spectra. 2. The lower minimum peak near at 280 nm is the typical peak of lignin. This peak does not exist exactly at 280 nm but from 282nm to 285nm in this bamboo UV spectra. The absorption intensities are equal in this region and the peak is not sharp. 3. The absorption band of aromatic nucleus is near at wave number $1550cm^{-1}$ in the IR spectra of bamboo lignin. The intensity at about 1040-$1130cm^{-1}$ and at about 1230-$1275cm^{-1}$ were similar in the hardwood lignin but reverse to that of softwood lignin spectrum.

  • In this paper, we examine fO peak lagging phenomenon in English. FO peak lagging refers to the fact that fO peak corresponding to an accent is realized beyond the domain of the host syllable. We present experimental data of fO peak lagging, which shows that fO peak is heavily delayed when the duration of the accented syllable is relatively short. In addition, we show that fO peak is also heavily delayed and realized in the following syllable in a focused word, even where the target vowel is not intrinsically short.

  • There have been numerous studies that extract the R-peak from electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. All of these studies can extract R-peak from ECG. However, these methods are complicated and difficult to implement in a real-time portable ECG device. After filtration choosing a threshold value for R-peak detection is a big challenge. Fixed threshold scheme is sometimes unable to detect low R-peak value and adaptive threshold sometime detect wrong R-peak for more adaptation. In this paper, a simple and robustness algorithm is proposed to detect R-peak with less complexity. This method also solves the problem of threshold value selection. Using the adaptive filter, the baseline drift can be removed from ECG signal. After filtration, an appropriate threshold value is automatically chosen by using the minimum and maximum value of an ECG signals. Then the neighborhood searching scheme is applied under threshold value to detect R-peak from ECG signals. Proposed method improves the detection and accuracy rate of R-peak detection. After R-peak detection, we calculate heart rate to know the heart condition.

  • Background: An inappropriate Q angle may affect the biomechanics of the canine patellofemoral joint. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of changes in quadriceps angle (Q angle) on patellofemoral joint pressure distribution in dogs. Methods: Eight stifles were positioned at 45, 60, 75, 90, 105, and 120° of flexion in vitro, and 30% body weight was applied through the quadriceps. Patellofemoral contact pressure distribution was mapped and quantified using pressure-sensitive film. For the pressure area, mean pressure, peak pressure, medial peak pressure, and lateral peak pressure, differences between groups according to conditions for changing the Q angle were statistically compared. Results: Increases of 10° of the Q angle result in increases in the pressure area (P = 0.04), mean pressure (P = 0.003), peak pressure, and medial peak pressure (P ≤ 0.01). Increasing the Q angle by 20° increases the pressure area (P = 0.021), mean pressure (P ≤ 0.001), peak pressure (P ≤ 0.01), and medial peak pressure (P ≤ 0.01) significantly, and shows higher mean (P ≤ 0.001) and peak pressures than increasing by 10°. Decreasing the Q angle increases the mean pressure (P = 0.013), peak pressure, and lateral peak pressure (P ≤ 0.001). Conclusions: Both increases and decreases in the Q angle were associated with increased peak patellofemoral pressure, which could contribute to the overloading of the cartilage. Therefore, the abnormal Q angle should be corrected to the physiologically normal value during patellar luxation repair and overcorrection should be avoided.

  • In this paper, a hand-operating method (tiled test method) of the wool-blending sample is made out, and make use of the method, the test of wool-blending bundle in different blending ratio is accomplished. According to the test data, the synthesis method of the stretch curve is worked out and the synthesis software for the typical stretch curve of wool-blending bundle is designed. Through laboratory hand-operating method, the blending fasciculus applying to fiber bundle test can be obtained in a short time. Calculation for sampling is accomplished in the article. We bring up 9 new signs to describe the characteristics of the curve behind peak for the first time: elongation behind peak (HE), elongation percentage behind peak (HEP), relative elongation rate behind peak (RHE), total break work $(W_a)$, break work behind peak (HW), break work coefficient behind peak (HWC), elongation percentage of half-load behind peak (HEL), load percentage of half-elongation behind peak (HLE), break efficiency behind peak (HEC).

  • When CBR source traffics are loaded to ATM switch and broadband network termination, CTD values of ATM switch and broadband network termination are measured and then the values of CTD in the domestic region arc estimated. The estimation values of CTD satisfy the objective of CTD in the domestic region allocated by allocation rules of 1.356. The peak-to-peak CDV allocation method based On Chernoff accumulation method is proposed and applied to the nodes of national portion. From the result of numerical analysis, the proposed method is more accurate than the equal allocation method for peak -to-peak CDV in case that the CDVs at each node and the number of ATM nodes on the path increase.
