한국어 양순 파열음 발음시 구강내압과 폐쇄기, VOT에 대한 연구 (The Study on Intraoral Pressure, Closure Duration and VOT During Phonation of Korean Bilabial Stop Consonants)

  • Acoustic analysis study was performed on 20 normal subjects by speaking nonsense syllables composed of Korean bilabial stops$(/P, P^{\star}, P^{h}/)$ and their preceding and/or following vowel /a/ (that is, $[pa, p^{\star}a, p^{h}a, apa, ap^{\star}a, ap^{h}a]$) with an ultraminiature pressure, sensor. in their mouths. Speech materials were phonated twice, once with a moderate voice, another time with a loud voice. The acoustic signal and intraoral pressure were recorded simultaneously on computer. By these procedures, we were to measure the intraoral pressure, closure duration and VOT of Korean bilabial stops, and to compare the values one another according to the intensity of phonation and the position of the target consonants. Intraoral pressure was measured by the peak intraoral pressure value of Its wave closure duration by the time interval between the onset of intraoral pressure build-up and the burst meaning the release of closure ; Voice onset time(VOT) on by the time interval between the burst and the onset or glottal vibration. Heavily aspirated bilabial stop consonant /$p^h$/ showed the highest intraoral pressure value, unaspirated /$p^{\star}$/, the second, slightly aspirated /P/, the lowest. The syllable initial bilabial stops showed higher intraoral pressure than word initial stops, and the value of loudly phonated consonants were higher than moderate consonants. The longest closure duration period was that of /$p^{\star}$/ and the shortest, /P/, and the duration was longer in word initial position and in the moderate voice. In VOT, the order of the longest to shortest was $/{p^h}/, /p/, /{p^\star}/$, and the value was shorer when the consonant was in intervocalic position and when it was phonated with a loud voice.

Mechanical properties of tailings with dipping interlayers under high confining pressure

  • Landslides are often triggered by weak interlayers initiated in tailings dam foundations, and hazards gradually occur. This is serious for landslides in high tailings dams due to their high potential energy. Tailing samples with a fine-grained interlayer at a set dip angle were prepared. Consolidated undrained (CU) triaxial shear tests were carried out by using a high-pressure triaxial apparatus. The results were compared with the results under a low confining pressure. Four reasons were summarized for high tailings dams more prone to instability than low dams. The shear strength of the samples with dipping interlayers decreases with increasing dip angle. An obvious straight drop in the stress path after the peak occurs in samples with dipping interlayers at an angle of 60°. The effect of the interlayer on the mechanical behaviour of tailings is very sensitive, especially for the sample with a dipping interlayer at an angle of 60°. Shear slipping along the interlayer should be given more attention in tailings dams. Compared with the results under low confining pressure, the stress decreases continuously for the samples with dipping interlayers at large angles under high confining pressure. The positive pore pressure, which reduces the effective stress, occurred in tailings samples under high confining pressure. The residual strength of tailings under high confining pressure is smaller than that under low confining pressure. These factors increase the dam break risk and the disaster impact for high tailings dams.

FEM 시뮬레이션을 이용한 공기 중에서의 초음파 트랜스듀서의 거동 (Behavior of ultrasonic transducer in air by using finite element method simulation)

  • Tonpilz 트랜스듀서를 FEM 시뮬레이션인 COMSOL의 structural module을 이용하여 구현하였다. 트랜스듀서의 음압 특성과 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교하기 위하여 acoustic module을 이용하여 형성된 음압의 공간적인 분포와 실제로 트랜스듀서를 구현하여 마이크로폰으로 측정한 음압 분포를 비교하였다. 그 결과, 공진주파수와 최대 음압은 시뮬레이션의 경우는 28 kHz에서 163.5 dB로 예측되었고 실제 제작된 트랜스듀서에서는 28.84 kHz에서 137.8 dB로 측정되었다. 또한 모사된 음압 분포와 실제로 측정한 음압 분포가 유사한 패턴으로 형성되는 것을 확인하였다.

3부위 최적맥파의 주파(h1) 비율 분석을 통한 전체 체순환 평가방법 (Body Systemic Circulation Assessment Method through Analysing the Radial, Dorsalis Pedis, Temporal Arterial Pulse Wave)

  • Objectives : Recently, people who have normal brachial blood pressure(BP) are being threatened by high-risk disease such as stroke. The aim of this study is to suggest that new method to assess systemic circulation. It can be performed by analyzing optimal blood pulse wave on 3 sites belonging to subjects that have normal BP. Methods : We respectively extracted main peaks(h1) of optimal blood pulse wave on left/right temporal artery(LR1=h1), radial artery(LR2=h1) and dorsalis pedis artery(LR3=h1). We obtained h1 from 30 subjects who are discreetly chosen and have normal BP. Main peak(h1) can be extracted by using 3D pulse imaging analyser(DMP-1000+, DAEYOMEDI Co., Korea) that has 5-level pressure method. We analyzed the ratio of [LR1/LR2] and [LR3/LR2]. Results : In the case of male group, the results are [LR1/LR2=0.7100.177] and [LR3/LR2=0.9290.317]. In the case of female group, the results are [LR1/LR2=0.6680.121] and [LR3/LR2=0.7050.195]. Especially, it is statistically verified that the result of ratio [LR3/LR2] is much higher in male group than in female group(p<0.05). Conclusions : We suggested the standard ratio of [LR1/LR2] and [LR3/LR2] for normal subjects, respectively. It can be adopted as a new method to evaluate the systemic circulation.

모듈레이팅 밸브 및 유압 클러치의 설계 변수가 전후진 파워시프트 변속기의 변속 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Design Parameters of Modulating Valve and Hydraulic Clutch on Shift Quality of a Power Shuttle Transmission)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of design parameters of modulating valve and hydraulic clutch on the shift quality of a power shuttle transmission using a computer simulation. Computer simulation models of a hydraulic control system and a power shuttle drive train were developed and verified by an experimental power train in a laboratory. The software EASY5 was used for the modeling and simulation of the power shuttle transmission. Results of the study were summarized as follows: For a good shift quality. it is required to reduce the transient torque transmitted to the output shaft of the transmission as much as possible. This may be achieved by reducing the modulating time and clutch pressure. It was found that the design parameters most significantly affecting the modulating time and clutch pressure were the spring constant and displacement of a load piston of the modulating valve, and the spring constant and damping of the clutch piston. The modulating time decreased as the spring constant increased and increased as the displacement of the load piston decreased. The transient torque decreased as the modulating time increased. However their relationships were not always linear. As the damping decreased, both the modulating pressure and time decreased, which also resulted in a decrease in the transient torque. The spring constant of the clutch piston affected the modulating time and the peak transient torque. As the spring constant of the clutch increased, the peak transient torque decreased.

약한 충격파의 포커싱 현상에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A Computational Study of the Focusing Phenomenon of Weak Shock Wave)

  • When a plane shockwave reflects ken a concave wall, it is focused at a certain location, resulting in extremely high local pressure and temperature. This focusing is due to a nonlinear phenomenon of shock wave. The focusing phenomenon has been extensively applied to many diverse folds of engineering and medical treatment as well. In the current study, the focusing of shock wave over a reflector is numerically investigated using a CFD method. The Harten-Yee total variation diminishing (TVD) scheme is used to solve the unsteady, two-dimensional, compressible, Euler equations. The incident shock wave Mach number $M_{s}\;of\;1.1{\~}l.3$ is applied to the parabolic reflectors with several different depths. Detailed focusing characteristics of the shock wave are investigated in terms of peak pressure, gasdynamic and geometrical foci. The results obtained are compared with the previous experimental results. The results obtained show that the peak pressure of shock wave focusing and its location strongly depend on the magnitude of the incident shock wave and depth of parabolic reflector. It is also found that depending up on the depth of parabolic reflector, the weak shock wave focusing process can classified into three distinct patterns : the reflected shock waves do not intersect each other before and after focusing, the reflected shock waves do not intersect each other before focusing, but intersect after focusing, and the reflected shock waves intersect each other before and after focusing. The predicted Schlieren images represent the measured shock wave focusing with a good accuracy.

수평 직사각 덕트 내 임계점 부근 물의 대류열전달 특성 (Convective Heat Transfer to Water near the Critical Region in Horizontal Rectangular Ducts)

  • 수평 덕트 내 임계점부근의 유체 유동 및 열전달특성은 중력과 함께 임계영역에서의 열역학 및 전달 물성치의 많은 변화와 직접적으로 연관되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 수평 직사각 덕트 내 임계점부근의 물에 대한 대류열전달특성을 전산해석을 통하여 분석하였다. 이를 통해 국부적인 열전달계수와 유속, 온도, 그리고 물성치분포를 포함한 대류열전달특성에 대해 임계점 근접효과와 함께 비교하였다. 벽으로부터의 열전달에 따른 유체 밀도감소로 덕트 내 유동방향으로의 유속증가와 함께 유체가 액체에서 기체 같은 상태로 천이하는 형태의 유동장특성을 보여준다. 덕트의 윗면, 옆면, 그리고 아래면 각각의 국부적인 열전달계수분포에 큰 차이가 있으며 준임계점 온도부근에서 난류전달특성의 향상으로 열전달계수의 최대치에 이르게 된다. Nu 수는 덕트 내 압력과 종횡비에 영향을 받으며 임계압에 가까워질수록 최대 Nu 수는 급격히 증가하게 된다. 이와 함께 기존의 열전달상관식을 통한 결과와 예측된 Nu 수 분포를 비교하였다.

고령층용 국내 개발 및 수입 컴포트화의 족저압 및 착화감 비교 분석 (Comparative Analysis of Plantar Pressure and Comfort Level in Developed-Domestic and Import Comfort Shoes for Elderly)

  • This study was to compare a domestic comfort shoes to the popular import(SAS$^{(R)}$) to gain a better understanding in biomechanical characteristics for shoe design for the elderly. For each shoe type, morphologic dimensions, shock absorption, and flexibility were assessed. From subjects(n = 20, $72.4{\pm}5.5$ years, $67.7{\pm}7.9$ kg), mean peak pressure(MPP) and contact area(CA) at the plantar surface were analyzed. The domestic shoes reflecting anatomic contour of the plantar surfaces of Asians resulted in wider CA(by 30.4 $cm^2$), higher shock absorption(by 2.4%) and stiffness(by 0.5 N/mm) than the import. With the domestic shoes, significantly less MPPs were found at the forefoot(by 42~49%) regions(p < .05) and higher CA was noted additionally at hallux and lessor toes(by 26~63%). More anatomically-contoured insole and favorable mechanical characteristics may help reduce the plantar pressures more effectively and more evenly, especially across the central forefoot and midfoot regions of the plantar surface, especially for the design of the comfort shoes for the elderly.

양축 정렬된 니켈기판의 표면 산화반응 연구 (A Study on the Surface Oxidation Behavior of Cube-textured Nickel Substrate)

  • We investigated the surface oxidation behavior of cube-textured polycrystalline nickel at various oxidation conditions. Cube-textured NiO film was formed on a cube-textured polycrystalline nickel regardless of oxidation conditions but different growth behavior of NiO crystals was observed depending on the oxidation conditions. The introduction of water vapor into $O_2$ did not affect the texture evolution, but rough and porous microstructure was developed. Microstructure of NiO film tends to be denser as the oxygen partial pressure increases. It is interesting that (111) peak of theta - two theta diffraction pattern started to get stronger in air atmosphere and (111) plane became the major texture in the substrate oxidized in high purity argon gas. Small amount of high index crystallographic plane NiO peak crystal was observed when $N_{2}O$ was used as an oxidant while only (200) plane crystal was formed in dry $O_2$ atmosphere. Flat and smooth surface was changed into rough faceted one when ramping rate to oxidation temperature was faster. The grain size of NiO was decreased when the oxygen partial pressure was low. It was also observed that the modification of nickel surface suppressed the development of (200) texture.

탄성유체윤활해석에 의한 연료 펌프 저널베어링 최적간극 선정 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Clearance Selection of Fuel Pump Journal Bearing with Elasto-hydrodynamic Lubrication Analysis)

  • The electric controlled marine diesel engine has fuel pump generating the high pressurized fuel for fuel injection to combustion chamber via a common rail. Fuel pump consists of a cam-roller system. Journal bearing installed between a roller and a cam-roller pin is subjected to fluctuating heavy and instant loads by cam lift. First, Kinematic analysis is carried out to predict bearing loads during one cycle acting on the journal bearing. Second, flexible multi-body dynamic analysis and transient elasto-hydrodynamic(EHD) lubrication analysis for journal bearing considering elastic deformation of cam-roller pin, roller and bearing are conducted using AVL EXCITE/PU software to predict lubrication performance. The clearance ratio and journal groove shape providing lubrication oil are important parameter in bearing design having good performance and can be changed easier than other design parameters such as diameter, width, oil supply pressure and bearing material grade. Generally, journal bearing performance is represented by the minimum oil film thickness(MOFT) and peak oil film pressure(POFP). As well as the traditional design parameters(MOFT, POFP), in this study, temperature rise of lubrication oil is also evaluated through the side leakage flow of supplied oil. By the evaluating MOFT, POFP and temperature rise, the optimum bearing clearance ratio is decided.
