단상유도전동기의 돌입전류저감을 위한 제어기 설계 (Design of Controller for Reducing In-Rush Current of Single-Phase Induction Motor)

  • During an AC motor's start-up accelerating period, a large amount of current is required to reach to the rating speed. This is called in-rush current. This peak in-rush current can be more than about several times the operating or steady-state current in the full load rating of the motor. In-rush current is present in both and electronic ballasts. The main area of concern is the tripping of circuit breaker and fuses which can affect electrical system components From this, we can see that the electrical power controllers will be rather concerned, since they have to supply the actual current necessary to start the motor. This paper presents a new method to reducing in-rush current and energy saving of the single-phase induction motor used in air-conditioner. It can be obtained that proposed system is low cost and small size as compared with other controller. Experiments are focused on a capacitor starting single-phase induction motor. The optimal power saving and in-rush current limiting by phase angle control are verified by experimental results. Also, auxiliary winding was controlled by electronic starting switch.

  • In this paper proposed method of maximum power point tracking using boost converter for a connected single phase inverter with photovoltaic system. The maximum power point tracking control is based on generated circuit control MOSFET switch of boost converter and single phase inverter uses predicted current control to control four IGBT's switch in full bridge. The predicted current control provide current with sinusoidal wave shape and inphase with voltage. The generation control circuit allows each photovoltaic module to operate independently at peak capacity, simply by detecting of the output power of the system. Furthermore, the generation control circuit attenuates low-frequency ripple voltage, which is caused by the full-bridge inverter, across the photovoltaic modules. Consequently, the output power of system is increased due to the increase in average power generated by the photovoltaic modules. The effectiveness of the proposed inverter system is confirmed experimentally and by means of simulation.

  • we proposed a grid connected peak load compensation system with high discharge current characteristics based on lithium polymer battery for development of the next generation power-station. The lithium polymer battery has faster discharge current characteristics than conventional battery, so that can compensate high active power demanded by load in a short time using the low capacity battery bank. Therefore, it is possible to control power leveling of grid by measuring storage energy of battery and active power which is needed from load. The validity of proposed system was verified through the simulation and experiment.

  • In this article, a current mode peak detector circuit is presented. The simple circuit configuration comprises four MOS transistors and one external capacitor. The realization method is suitable fur fabrication using CMOS technology and all transistors are operated in their saturation region. The proposed circuit exhibits a very low drop rate and provides high accuracy, high-speed and wide dynamic range. The proposed circuit has very low power dissipation and operates using a single 2.5V supply. Simulation results confirmed the characteristic of the proposed circuit are also included.

  • In this paper, a revolutionary buck converter is proposed with soft-switching technology, which is realized by a coupled inductor. Both zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of main switch and zero-current switching (ZCS) of freewheeling diode are achieved at turn on and turn off without using any auxiliary circuits by the resonance between the parasitic capacitor and the coupled inductor. Furthermore, the peak voltages of the main switch and the peak current of the freewheeling diode are significantly reduced by the coupled inductor. As a result, the proposed converter has the advantages of simple circuit, convenient control, low consumption and so on. The detailed operation principles and steady-state analysis of the proposed ZVS-ZCS buck converter are presented, and detailed power loss analysis and some simulation results are also included. Finally, experimental results based on a 200-W prototype are provided to verify the theory and design of the proposed converter.

  • 유도기의 고정자를 직접 전력 계통에 연결하는 유도형 풍력발전기의 계통 연계시 과도 상태 돌입 전류의 크기를 줄이기 위한 새로운 소프트 스타터(Soft Starter) 제어 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 현재 국내에 가장 많이 설치되어 있는 정속 운전형 풍력발전시스템의 기본 구성을 살펴보고 특히 소프트 스타터의 계통 연계 알고리즘에 따라 발전 개시 순간 과도 상태 전류의 크기가 크게 달라짐을 확인하였다. 이를 위해 600kw급 유도 발전기를 포함한 정속형 풍력발전 시스템의 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하였고 실험실 환경에서 제안된 알고리즘을 시험하기 위한 3.7kW급 모의실험장치를 제작하였으며, 소프트 스타터의 제어 알고리즘 개선에 의해 돌입전류의 크기가 약 20$\%$ 감소됨을 확인하였다.

  • 이 논문에서는 도시철도의 최대수요전력 산출을 위한 근사모델을 제시한다. 전류 벡터 반복법을 활용하여 변전소의 최대수요전력을 계산할 경우에 기존의 방법으로는 수 많은 반복 조류계산이 필요하기 때문에 계산시간 제약으로 인해 실시간 적용이 어렵다는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 모든 조건이 동일한 상태에서 전원 임피던스의 변화에 따른 변전소 최대수요 전력을 빠르게 산출하는 근사모델을 제시한다. 제시된 근사 모델에 의한 산출결과가 기존 모델과 거의 유사한 정확성을 보임을 시뮬레이션을 통해 예시한다.

  • Demand Controller is a load control device that monitor the current power consumption and calculate the forecast power to not exceed the power set by consumer. Accurate demand forecasting is important because of controlling the load use the way that sound a warning and then blocking the load when if forecasted demand exceed the power set by consumer. When if consumer with fluctuating power consumption use the existing forecasting method, management of demand control has the disadvantage of not stable. In this paper, load forecasting of the unit of seconds using the Exponential Smoothing Methods, ARIMA model, Kalman Filter is proposed. Also simulation of load forecasting of the unit of the seconds methods and existing forecasting methods is performed and analyzed the accuracy. As a result of simulation, the accuracy of load forecasting methods in seconds is higher.

  • An electric probe is a conductor inserted into the plasma, by which plasma density and electron temperature can be deduced from the collected current (I) versus applied voltage (V) to the probe. In RF plasma the I-V characteristics of electric probe is distorted due to the RF fluctuation of plasma potential, so that it is hard to measure the real plasma parameters, especially the electron temperature. To eliminate the RF fluctuation, several compensation methods are developed such as RF compensation probe, peak-to-peak method, asymmetric double probe. By comparing proposed methods, a suitable method is to be introduced in determining electron temperatures in RF plasma.

  • 본 논문에서는 피크 전류 모드 제어를 적용한 플라이백 컨버터의 정확한 Control-to-Output Transfer Function을 제시한다. 기존 저주파 극점만으로 간략화 된 모델은 실제 디스크리트 모델(Discrete Model)과 소신호 해석에서 많은 차이를 보인다. 본 논문에서는 정확한 저주파 극점을 유도하고, PSIM을 통한 모의실험을 통해 제안된 모델에 대한 정확성을 검증한다.
