Structure and their redox property of the vanadium oxides prepared by decomposing NH₄VO₃ at various temperatures were studied by XRD, SEM, XPS, and temperature programmed reduction/temperature programmed oxidation (TPR/TPO) experiment. All TPR profiles have two sharp peaks in the temperature range 650-750℃, and the area ratio of the two sharp peaks changed from sample to sample. There were three redox steps in TPR/TPO profiles. The oxidation proceeded in the reverse order of the reduction process, and both the reactions proceeded via quite a stable intermediates. The changes of the morphological factor $(I_{(101)}/I_{(010)})$, the ratio of $O_{1S}$ peak area (O$_{1S}$( α)/O$_{1S}$( β)) in the XPS results, and the ratio of hydrogen consumption in TPR profiles with various vanadium oxides showed the distinct relationship between the structural property and their redox property of vanadium oxides. The change of the specific yield of phthalic anhydride with various vanadium oxides showed a very similar trend to those of the peak area ratio in TPR profiles, which meant that the first reduction step related to the partial oxidation of o-xylene on the vanadium oxide catalyst.
In this study, the new dimensionless values were defined and proposed to determine the parameters of urban runoff models based on the relative sensitivity analysis. Also, the sensitivity characteristics of each parameter were investigate. In order to analyze the parameter sensitivities of each model, total runoff ratio, peak runoff ratio, runoff sensitivity ratio, sensitivity ratio of total runoff, and sensitivity ratio of peak runoff were defined. $$Total\;runoff\;ratio(Q_{TR})\;=\;\frac{Total\;runoff\;of\;corresponding\;step}{Maximum\;total\;runoff}$$$$Peak\;runoff\;ratio(Q_{PR})\;=\;\frac{Peak\;runoff\;of\;corresponding\;step}{Maximum\;peak\;runoff}$$$$Runoff\;sensitivity\;ratio(Q_{SR})\;=\;\frac{Q_{TR}}{Q_{PR}}$$ And for estimation of sensitivity ratios based on the scale of basin area, rainfall distributions and rainfall durations in ILLUDAS & SWMM, the reasonable ranges of parameters were proposed.
In this study, We proposed a method to estimate the design flood by area ratio in an ungauged basin. For that, the discharge parameters was determined by calibration of observed data at the watershed outlet and then peak flow was estimated by area ratio. In order to verify suggested method, peak flow was compared the observed discharge of the small river basin and the design flood discharge of river implementation projects. The results were summarized as follows. As a result of comparing the discharge by the area ratio and observed discharge, the difference of peak flows were analysed 14 ~ 25%. When the discharge calculated with area ratio of small river was compared with the design flood discharge of river implementation projects, the relative error was analyzed to be less than 20%. It means that suggested method in this study is appropriate.
Fifteen min-microtremor data sets were collected at 136 sites from a coastal area of Kunsan and 117 sites from an inland area of Jeonju located in SW Korea, and were analyzed for the HVSR (Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio) of the sites. The microtremor spectra of the coastal area have stronger energy in the lower frequency range from 1-6 Hz than those of the coastal area. This result can be attributed to the effect of the waves and tides in the Keum river and the Yellow sea. Twenty four hours of measurement of the microtremor indicated that the microtremor spectrum correlates with the human activities, but the microtremor HVSR peak was observed consistently at the characteristic frequency for the site. The HVSR peaks were grouped into 4 types -"single peak", "double peak", "broad peak" or "no peak"- based on their shapes. More than 90% of the data sets exhibit peak frequencies ($F_0$) which can be easily identified. The distribution of $F_0$ reveals a close relationship with the topography and local geology of the areas, exhibiting high F0s in the hillside areas and low $F_0s$ in the reclaimed land area. While the amplitudes of microtremor HVSR peak frequencies are less than 4 in the downstream of the inland area, those of the recently reclaimed land in the coastal area are extremely high (more than 10). The results of this study indicate that detailed HVSR studies are essential for the earthquake hazard reduction of reclaimed lands.
The efficiencies of single escape and double escape peaks were calculated by using Monte Carlo method and compared with measured efficiencies. The efficiency was obtained from the area ratio of escape peak to full energy absorption peak and the full energy absorption peak efficiency. For the escape peak interfered with other $\gamma-ray$ peaks, the net area was obtained by area correction. The GEANT code developed in CERN was used for the Monte Carlo calculation. The calculated efficiencies of the escape peaks agreed with the measurement within $12\%$.
Characteristic chemical compositions of jujube wine using different preparation methods including fermentation were investigated. Fermentation for jujube wine started using whole fruit (JW1), seed-removed fruit (JW2) and whole fruit heated at $100^{\circ}C$ for 2 h and then extracted (JW3). The free amino acids and flavors were analyzed quantitatively by HPLC and GC-MS. A total of 18 amino acids were identified in all samples. The amount of total free amino acids was detected from 141-210 ppm (JW1), 147-342 ppm (JW2), and 336-362 ppm (JW3). Large amounts of proline, aspartate, glutamate, arginine and alanine were detected in jujube wine. Thirteen kinds of volatile compounds including six alcoholic compounds (ethyl alcohol, iso-butyl alcohol, n-butyl alcohol, iso-amyl alcohol, n-amyl alcohol, and phenethyl alcohol), four ester (ethyl acetate, hexyl acetate, ethyl caprylate, and phenethyl acetate) and three aldehydes (diethylacetal, furfural, and benzaldehyde) were detected. Ethyl alcohol (30.50-33.95% peak area), benzaldehyde (2.55-15.97% ratio), furfural (0.07-15.28% ratio), iso-amyl alcohol (1.04-14.73% ratio), and phenethyl acetal (0.78-9.28% ratio) were abundant in jujube wine.

In order to investigate the impulsive noise at the exit of high-speed railway tunnel and the pressure transients inside the tunnel, numerical calculations using a Total Variation Dimishing difference scheme were applied to axisymmetric unsteady compressible flow field. Some compression wave forms were assumed to model the compression wave produced in real high-speed railway tunnel. The numerical data were extensively explored to analyze the peak over-pressure and maximum pressure gradient in the pressure wavefront. The effect of the distance and cross-sectional area ratio between two-continuous ducts on the characteristics of the pressure waves were investigated. The peak over-pressure inside the second duct decreases for the distance and cross-sectional area ratio between two tunnels to increase. The peak over-pressure and maximum pressure gradient of the pressure wavefront inside the second duct increase as the maximum pressure gradient of initial compression wave increases. The present results were qualitatively well agreed with the results of the previous shock tube experiment.

For the purpose of investigating the impulsive noise at the exit of high-speed railway tunnel and the pressure transients inside the tunnel, experiments were carried out using a shock tube with an open end. A great deal of experimental data were obtained and explored to analyze the peak pressures and maximum pressure gradients in the pressure waves. The effects of the distance and cross-sectional area ratio between two-continuous tunnels on the characteristics of the pressure waves were investigated. The peak pressure inside the second tunnel decreases for the distance and cross-sectional area ratio between two tunnels to increase. Also the peak pressure and maximum pressure gradient of the pressure wave inside the second tunnel increase as the maximum pressure gradient of initial compression wave increases.
Dynamic headspace purge conditions were investigated to obtain minimum loss of high volatile compounds by breakthrough and maximum recovery of low volatile components of roasted perilla seed oil (RPSO). A response surface methodology was applied to evaluate the effect of purge temperature, purge time, and sample weight on $\ell$ n (total peak area), breakthrough ratio, and peak area of perilla ketone the least volatile component of RPSO. Sample weight was the most important factor on the $\ell$ n (total peak area) but it did not affect peak area of perilla ketone. All process variables significantly influenced breakthrough ratio. The optimum condition was determined by superimposing contour plots at purge temperature of 48$^{\circ}C$ for 12 min purge time at sample weight of 0.60 g. 2-Propanone, 2-butanone, acetic acid, 2-methyl propanal were main breakthrough compounds in RPSO flavor.

A new area-efficient multi-phase clock frequency multiplier is presented. The proposed fractional-ratio frequency multiplying DLL (FFMDLL) is implemented in a 65 nm CMOS process and occupies an active area of just $0.01mm^2$. The proposed FFMDLL provides 8-phase output clocks and achieves a frequency range of 0.6-1.0 GHz with programmable multiplication ratios of N/M, where N = 4, 5, 8, 10 and M = 1, 2, 3. It achieves an effective peak-to-peak jitter of 5 ps and dissipates 3.4 mW from a 1.0 V supply at 1 GHz.
