The oil and gas industry is widely known as a vital engine of Vietnam development, stimulating researchers to examine the association of various factors with this industry. The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between different variables affecting profitability of the firms in the oil and gas sector in Vietnam. The total of 203 samples were collected from 29 companies listed on Vietnam Stock Market during a 6-year period from 2012 to 2018. Informed by prior research, this investigation employs financial leverage (FL), government ownership (GOV), dividend payout (DIV), fixed assets to total assets (FA) and exchange rate (EXR) as independent variables, while the profit is described by return-on-assets (ROA). The study results show that there are four factors that have an impact on ROA, namely, leverage, government ownership, dividend, and exchange rate. Whereas leverage and exchange rate have negative influence on ROA, government ownership and dividend payment have a positive effect. The findings of this study suggest that high debt ratio in capital structure and the negative effect of exchange rate on their companies' efficiency can adversely affect the profit of enterprises. Also, plausible extent of government ownership and dividend payment could also be considered to optimize corporate performance.
With the growing interest being reflected in the FinTech industry, much attention has been paid to mobile easy payment services as well. In the era of mobile commerce, the core advantage of using mobile easy payment services(simplifying complex payment procedures and thus facilitating user convenience and reducing the chance of giving up payment) are being more emphasized. Mobile easy payment service market not only includes mobile easy payment service providers but also users, non-users, affiliates, banks, and credit card companies as main stakeholders. Exploring those stakeholders is thus important to thoroughly understand such market. However, extant literature on mobile easy payment services mostly focuses on examining adoption intention of users or non-users. This study, an exploratory research based on interviews, thus aims to extract driving as well as inhibiting factors of mobile easy payment service use from six different perspectives (i.e., social platform, bank, credit card company, affiliate, user, and non-user) and analyze a sequence of cause and effect for each factor. For this, the causal loop diagram was developed to deduce key issues and propose an alternative. Theoretical and practical implications of this study will also be discussed.

This study analyses the macroeconomic effects of the direct payment system (DPS) for environment-friendly agriculture in Korea. We utilized the applied general equilibrium model (AGE model) for the general agricultural sector as well as the environmentally-friendly agricultural sector. We considered several scenarios based on various direct payment amounts to measure and analyze economic impacts. Scenario 1 considers the current direct payment system. Scenario 2 examines an additional 5% increase from the direct payment amount in scenario 1. Scenario 3 reviews an increase of 10% in direct payment amount while Scenario 4 considers an additional increase of 15% compared with Scenario 1. Lastly, scenario 5 examines a 20% increase in direct payment amounts compared with scenario 1. In addition, the baseline considers conditions prior to the introduction of the direct payment system. The simulation analysis results show that capital formation, production volume, and labor productivity increased in the environment-friendly agricultural sector. In contrast, employment in the environment-friendly agricultural sector decreased. The price of environment-friendly agricultural products following the introduction of the DPS remain consistent with the price of environment-friendly agricultural product before introducing the DPS. This results from price elasticity of supply and demand are inelastic, and there is no change in the income of consumers during the analysis period. However, additional research is necessary for improvement of the model using complementary statistical data for the environmental-friendly agriculture sector.
The easy payment service is a payment and remittance service that uses a simple authentication method. As online transactions have increased due to COVID-19, the use of an easy payment service is increasing. At the same time, electronic financial industries such as Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, and Toss are diversifying the competition structure of the easy payment market; meanwhile overseas fintech companies PayPal and Alibaba have a unique market share in their own countries, while competition is intensifying in the domestic easy payment market, as there is no unique market share. In this study, the participants in the easy payment market were classified as electronic financial companies, mobile phone manufacturers, and financial companies, and a SWOT analysis was conducted on the representative services in each industry. The analysis examined the user reviews of Google Play Store via a topic modeling analysis, and it employed positive topics as strengths and negative topics as weaknesses. In addition, topic modeling was conducted by dividing news articles into political, economic, social, and technology (PEST) articles to derive the opportunities and threats to easy payment services. Through this research, we intend to confirm the service capabilities of easy payment companies and propose a service activation strategy that allows gaining the upper hand in the market.
With the development of information and communication technologies, popularization of smart phones, and relaxation of the government regulation, mobile easy payment service is rapidly growing as a major financial service. Therefore, this study examines factors that influence the intention to use mobile easy payment service through empirical analysis. We collected 386 responses by survey and formed structural equation modeling with AMOS 22.0. The results show that technical factors(relative advantage, security), individual factor(self-efficacy), situational factors(trust in prior services and satisfaction of prior services) had a positive effect on the perceived value. In addition, perceived value had a positive effect on the intention to use mobile easy payment services. Lastly, subjective norms are closely related to the relationship between perceived value and intention to use mobile easy payment services. The results can be expected to provide useful references to the Fintech related industry fields.
While information and communication develop, the Electronic commerce payment system is progressing. Recently, a government established the electronic commerce activation policy which simplified a payment Through this policy, the information which the financial company monopolizes can be fused with the other industry and create the popularization use of the electronic payment service and value added services. But on the other hand, the concern for the security is very high, Accordingly, the finnancial institute take a restriction of the requirements for the participation company according to the financial scale, this policy is led by the private institue, rather making a participation of fin tech venture difficulty. This paper tries to deal with the technical and legal problems for the activation of electronic payment system and fin tech. So I will examine the security matter that follows in grifting the innovation technology onto the existing payment service and propose a desirable way to improve the current legislation.
Since the global financial crisis of 2008, the continuous development and innovation in technology-related fields such as information and communications technology (ICT) are likely to swim against the recession. In this paradoxical situation, the necessity of financial innovation through ICT is on the rise. For this reason, the appearance of Fintech is more meaningful as a new converged industry with the potential to lead financial innovation. The term of Fintech is derived from combining 'Finance' and 'Technology.' In South Korea, one of the most popular types of Fintech is mobile payment. KakaoPay, which is the first mobile easy payment service in Korea, is a much more simplified type of mobile payment service than ones used in the past, and is provided by the most popular mobile messenger service in Korea, KakaoTalk. However, KakaoPay has few active users in spite of its many advantages, which include convenience, simplicity, and a powerful platform. Thus, the main purpose of this paper is to investigate influencing factors of user resistance on KakaoPay. In order to investigate specific factors, a research model is developed based on the unified understanding of user resistance put forth by Laumer and Eckhardt (2012). After gathering online survey data from KakaoTalk users, an empirical analysis is conducted to verify this research model. The results of this study give insights regarding user resistance factors in the Fintech sector, and by so doing, it is expected that the important factors of user resistance could help the diffusion of new services when new mobile payment services appear in the near future.

Recently construction companies' capital condition has been aggravated due to low profit, fierce competition and market contraction. For this reason, the companies rely on public construction projects that protect construction fee by regulations. Despite these regulations, problems regarding progress payment are constantly happening. Also, insufficient analysis on interaction between contractors makes policy making difficult. Thus, in this study, interaction between contractors are quantitatively determined according to delay of application and payment based on current public construction regulations on construction stage. A system dynamics model is used, which analyzes the problems based on an interaction between contractors, and solutions for progress payment application and payment delay are suggested according to the research results.
This paper presents an approach to solve the long-term generation expansion planning problem of the restructured electricity industry using an agent-based environment. The proposed model simulates the generation investment decisions taken by a particular agent (i.e. a generating company) in a market environment taking into account its competitors’ strategic investment. The investment decision of a particular company is modeled taking into account that such company has imperfect foresight on the future system development hence electricity prices. The delay in the construction of new plants is also explicitly modeled, in order to compute accurately the yearly revenues of each agent. On top of a conventional energy market, several capacity incentive mechanisms including capacity payment and capacity market are simulated, so as to assess their impact on the investment promotion for generation expansion. Results provide insight on the investment cycles as well as dynamic system behavior of long-term generation expansion planning in a competitive electricity industry.
In recent years, the electric utility industry in Korea has undergone fast change. Private power generation has been introduced by competitive bidding to improve economic efficiency and to strengthen the competitive generation market. In these private generation projects, the yearly pattern of purchase price between the utility and IPPs is very important. Currently, the levelized payment schedule is applied to capacity payment, and price escalation rates are reflected to energy payment. In this paper, we Proposed different patterns of payment and analyzed the outcomes. As a result, we found possibility of applying the partial front-loading pattern in Korean market to share the risk of the long-term business. And, the importance of discount rate is also found.
