The purpose of this study investigates the relation between corporate life cycle and management compensation. The analysis is performed by comparing the compensation level and pay-performance-sensitivity (PPS) at each life cycle based on Korean data from 2003 to 2014. The results show that regarding compensation level, mature stage has the highest mean value of compensation and compensation level drops after mature stage. In introduction stage, growth and decline stages, compensation is not sensitive to accounting performance. In a while, in mature stage, management compensation varies with accounting performance more significantly than stock performance. In additional analysis, the results indicate that the finding is not designated from growth opportunities and the relation differs when the firm is included in a conglomerate. These findings contribute to the literature by providing additional evidence to understand for compensation and the corporate life cycle studies.
Our study focuses on the implementation of IS development methodology as the innovation of IS organization. We have two main research objectives. We Intend to understand the critical factors affecting the implementation process of IS methodology. We also intend to deeply analyze the relationship among the implementation processes of methodology. The whole innovation process is divided into detailed four levels tilth dynamic and evolving Point of clew a cognition level, an adoption level, an acceptance level and an usage level. The results of our study are as follows. The main factors affecting initiation level of the IS methodology are the innovativeness of IS members, the existence of champion manager, training, the existence of IS performance gap, executive supports for IS organization, and the relative advantage of IS development methodology At the Implementation level, It is understood that the existence of champion manager executive supports, training and the relative advantage of innovation are the main factors. However, the complexity of Innovation is a megative factor about the quality of accepting and using the methodology In Innovation process. In performing the Innovation process, the Previous level gives very notable affection to the continuous next level. However it's also understood that positive attitude of adoption level does not directly affect the quality of using Innovation. Therefore, IS managers must pay attention to manacle each level of the Innovation Process to successfully accomplish the Implementation of IS methodology.
Purpose - First, the study identifies and analyzes consumer preferences with regard to health foods and supplements. Second, it identifies and analyzes consumer preferences with regard to the properties of Vitamin C supplements. Third, in order to provide a basic data for the development of Vitamin C supplements and to measure how consumers value the properties of different Vitamin C products, a consumer survey was conducted through the choice-based conjoint model. Based on the results, the research estimates consumers' relative product-related priorities as well as price levels and willingness to pay (WTP) for different product types, and makes suggestions regarding consumer-oriented new product development and progressive directions for the successful launch of health foods and supplements. Research design, data, and methodology - This study aims to define the attributes of health foods and supplements based on several characteristics including their natural ingredients, product price, product originality, natural ingredient content, and additional functional ingredients, and makes suggestions regarding strategic market pricing and product development for health foods and supplements according to customer attitudes and characteristics. The research used choice-based conjoint analysis methodology based on the Multinomial Logic Model and collected 94 questionnaires filled out by users of Korean Vitamin C supplements. Results - Product price is the most influential factor among the five analyzed properties. When consumers buy Vitamin C products, the relative significance level of four of the examined properties is as follows: 40.9% for product price, 23.3% for product originality, 21.9% for natural ingredient content, and 13.9% for additional functional ingredients. Vitamin C content is excluded as it is not a statistically significant factor. It is interesting that supplement manufacturers and retailers consider Vitamin C content to be very important whereas consumers do not regard it as an important factor at the time of purchase. The results for the marginal willingness to pay (MWTP) for each property of Vitamin C supplements show that consumers are willing to pay an additional 11,146 Korean won for a 50% increase in the natural ingredient content. With regard to product originality, consumers are willing to pay an additional 11,301 Korean won for products manufactured in Europe than for products manufactured in China. Moreover, consumers show a greater preference for products manufactured in Korea than in Europe. However, consumers are not willing to pay more for additional Vitamin C or additional functional ingredients added to Vitamin C products. Conclusions - According to the results of consumer research on Vitamin C supplements, which represent a popular health food supplement in Korea, most Korean health food and supplement companies are not consumer- or market-oriented when developing new products. Companies gather information from either R&D specialists or sales managers and their opinions are highly reflected in new product development. The study's results will help companies recognize the importance of understanding consumers' unmet needs in advance to develop new products in the future.

This study was carried out to verify the relationship between the job satisfaction and turnover intention of nurses working in general hospitals The study included 312 nurses working in three general hospitals located in Gyeoungpook area. The data was collected by a survey using self-administered questionnaires structured from February 25 to March 16, 2013. The level of turnover intention was negatively correlated with job satisfaction and professional position, autonomy, administrative capacity, pay, task requirement. In logistic regression analysis, the adjusted odds ratio of the high risk turnover intention was increased significantly in the lower groups of job satisfaction, job autonomy, administrative capacity and pay than in the higher groups of these items. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that the turnover intention correlated significantly with the education level, subjective sleep evaluation, job career, job position, monthly pay, satisfaction with work, fitness of the job, career choice motives, physical burden of work, and job satisfaction. In addition, there was a negative correlation between the job satisfaction and turnover intention in the studied nurses, which showed that the turnover intention increased with decreasing level of job satisfaction. The variations in the job related characteristics and job satisfaction have a significant influence on the turnover intention.

Internally Korean insurance market is that whole life products' growth are becoming slowdown that's why new insurance products have appeared on the market in consideration of consumer's needs recently. Externally domestic insurance market competitions has drifted from insurance industry to whole financial industry since bankasurance started. Life insurance companies should open up a new market to survive from severe competitions. Worksite marketing can be an alternative. An insurer make arrangements with an employer about an insurance terms which an insurer offers in Worksite marketing. Then eligible individuals enroll in the plans at their own discretion and pay 100 percent of the premium for coverage through payroll deductions. An employer doesn't need to pay extra money for additional benefit but can raise employee's loyalty and satisfaction of company through worksite marketing. An employee can be covered at discounted premium rate and less strict underwriting guidelines to an insurer compared to individual insurance. In developed countries specially U.S insurance market, Worksite marketing is getting very popular and growing rapidly due to the advantages. Worksite marketing has both individual insurance characters and group insurance characters. Individual insurance characters are that employees enroll in the plans at their own discretion and pay 100 percent of the premium for coverage. Group insurance characters are that actively at work and participation etc. An insurer have to reflect these two characters on Worksite marketing when an insurance company work out a plan for developing products and underwriting guidelines. When an insurer devise worksite products, one should consider participation level which means percentage of eligible employees participating. Participation is related to anti-selection. As we know underwriting is essential for every kind of insurance, especially underwriting plays major role in worksite marketing. We can see that in the below. Firstly, it has a function in calculation of premium rate. When calculate premium rate for worksite products underwriters have to estimate expected participation level and risk factors. So underwriters and acturies keep in close contact with each other. Secondly, underwriting methods are important. When an insurer underwrite worksite products, there are three kinds of underwriting methods. These are Simplified issue underwriting, Full underwriting and Guaranteed issue underwriting. Simplified issue underwriting typically requires no medical examination, but usually requires supplying satisfactory answers to one or several health and/or lifestyle questions. Full underwriting requires a complete medical history questionnaire that may further require an exam. Guaranteed issue underwriting means that coverage is issued without the employee having to provide evidence of insurability. When insurer set the GI limit are usually based on the type of industry, number of eligible employees, the average amount of coverage and participation level. In addition to insurer should have a clear definition of eligible employee on the insurance provision and application form. It will minimize possibility of trouble claims and anti-selection. An insurer also establish preexisting condition exclusion and special guidelines for late entrants. When an insurer introduce Worksite marketing to Korean insurance market, an insurer has to examine market research to analyze potential market and strategy of sales most of all. Also an insurer should review real situation of the U.S, England and Japanese market etc. There are a lot of new technologies about worksite marketing process that an insurer should learn. When an insurer consider many things which we explained it can be a real alternative.
Local food reflects the identity and image of a specific region. It is also a core element for determining tourists' experience of a region. The purpose of the present study was to develop a Jeju food tour package using local foods and estimate the economic value of the suggested tour package using Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). Five food tour packages were developed by researchers. In order to modify and measure the value of each package, an expert panel survey was conducted, and 'package 5' was selected as a food tour scenario for the tourist survey. A survey was conducted on 295 domestic tourists who visited Jeju within the past 10 years in order to evaluate the economic value and feasibility of the Jeju food tour package. A total fo 72.9% of respondents answered that they were willing to pay for the Jeju local food tour, and the willingness to pay (WTP) range was between ₩45,000 and ₩105,000. The primary factors correlated with WTP was food expenses, followed by leisure experience expenses, interest in local foods, education level, visit frequency and age. The WTP of the Jeju local food tour was calculated with the significantly affected factors using stepwise regression model. The result of the present study reveal that tourists' WTP increased with higher food expenses, education level, and age group. The average value of food expenses, education level, and age were substituted into the formula derived from the regression analysis, yielding 58,385.752 KRW as the WTP. The expected economic value created by exploiting the Jeju local food tour was shown to be 700 billion KRW per year, calculated by multiplying WTP of the food tour packages by the number of tourists. This study examined the feasibility and plan of the food tour package to increase the economic value of Jeju local food. In the case of the culinary tour program based on Jeju local food launching, the estimated economic effect was great. Therefore, in-depth research to merchandise the Jeju local food tour program is needed.
The PISA(Program for International Student Assessment), an international comparative study supervised by OECD, aims at producing reliable and internationally comparable indicators of students' literacy in reading, mathematics, and science. In mathematical literacy, Korean students ranked the 2nd out of the 32 participating countries in PISA. This result is very encouraging in the sense that the scores in the mathematical literacy are a forecasting indicator for the mathematical level of future citizens who are supposed to lead their countries in every field. However, Korean students showed the largest gender difference in mathematical literacy, indicating that male students achieved significantly higher scores than female counterparts. With the consideration that mathematics plays a key role in determining the overall achievement level and influences on the long-term career opportunities, it is necessary to pay more attention to the gender difference in mathematical literacy, and make an effort to reduce it to enhance the overall intelligence level of Korean human resources.
The purpose of this study is to analyze consumption of homemade organically processed food (HOPF), and to derive directions for consumption promotion of HOPF. A survey was conducted for quantitative analysis regarding consumption. This study used an Ordinal Logistic Regression Model to derive more significant results in analyzing factors of consumption. The findings was that younger consumers with high income are more likely to purchase HOPF. And those consumers with high price and quality contentment are more likely to purchase HOPF. And contentment with certification institutions and improvement of health have a significant positive relationship with consumption. Consumers were found to pay 51 percent more for HOPF than for non-HOPF products. This level show that the current level of price premium for HOPF is 51 percent higher than their desired level. In order to reduce the price premium for HOPF, effective policy programs should be developed. A targeted market strategy to sell HOPF to younger consumers with high income is needed to boost consumption. A strict certification management system should be established to enhance consumer reliability in HOPF.
The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing the allergic rhinitis patients' satisfaction with laser surgery. The data were collected by telephone interviews with 211 patients who visited I university hospital. The statistical methods used for the analysis were factor analysis, reliability test, and hierarchical multiple regression. We find that satisfaction level is a function of not only the surgery outcome but also the socio-psychological experience during treatment. With the improvement in nasal allergic condition, patients were more likely to be satisfied with medical services. And patients who had positive experience with physicians and facilities reported higher satisfaction level. While the surgery outcome explained 68% of the variation of satisfaction level, socio-psychological experience explained 23% of it. This result clearly shows that physicians need to pay attention to the socio-psychological aspect as well as the technical aspect of medical services.
Compared with general rivers, fluctuations of the water level and the river bed are severe in the tidal river. In hydro-dynamic aspect, such fluctuation gives different river-bed data to us according to observing period. The time-dependent river-bed data and pre-estimation of the Manning's roughness coefficient which is the key factor of numerical modelling induces uncertainty of evaluating the design flood level. Thus it is necessary to pay more attention to calculate the flood level at tidal rivers than at general rivers. In this study, downstream of the Imjin River where is affected by tide of the West Sea selected as a study site. From the numerical modelling, it was shown that the unsteady simulation gave considerable mitigation of the water level from the starting point to 15 km upstream compared to the steady simulation. Either making a detention pond or optional dredging was not effective to mitigate the flood level at Gugok - Majung region where is located in the downstream of the Imjin River. Therefore, a more sophisticated approach is required to evaluate the design flood level estimation before constructive measures adopted in general rivers when establishing the flood control plan in a tidal river.
