Volume-Controlled Mode의 기계환기시 동일환 I:E Ratio하에서 Inspiratory Pause가 기도압 몇 가스교환에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Inspiratory Pause on Airway Pressure and Gas Exchange under Same I:E ratio in Volume-controlled Ventilation)

  • 연구배경: Volume controlled ventilation(VCV)시 inspiratory pause의 사용은 흡기시간을 연장하여 평균기도압을 상승시키고 가스교환을 호전시키는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 같은 흡기시간을 유지하더라도 inspiratory pause를 사용하였을 경우 평균기도압과 가스교환의 변화에 대하여는 잘 알려지지 않았다. 방 법: 저자들은 VCV으로 기계호흡을 받는 12명의 환자를 대상으로 흡기산소농도, 상시호흡량, 호흡수 및 I : E ratio(1 : 3)는 변화시키지 않고 5%의 pause를 사용한 경우와 사용하지 않은 경우의 기도압 및 가스교환의 변화를 관찰하여 비교하였다. 결 과: 동맥혈 이산화탄소분압은 pause를 사용한 경우 $38.6{\pm}7.4$ mmHg로 시용하지 않은 경우의 $41.0{\pm}7.7$ mmHg보다 유의하게 낮았다 (p<0.01). 동맥혈 산소분압은 pause를 사용한 경우 $94.4{\pm}23.2$ mmHg로 사용하지 않은 경우의 $91.8{\pm}19.7$ mmHg보다 높은 경향이 있었으나 (p=0.054), 폐포-동맥혈 산소분압차$(P(A-a)O_2)$는 pause 유무에 따른 차이가 없었다 ($185.3{\pm}86.5$ mmHg vs. $184.9{\pm}84.9$ mmHg, P=0.766). 평균기도압은 pause를 사용한 경우 $9.7{\pm}4.0\;cmH_2O$로 사용하지 않은 경우의 $8.8{\pm}4.0\;cmH_2O$보다 유의하게 높았다 (p<0.01). Pause를 사용했을 때의 pause pressure와 pause를 사용하지 않을 때의 최고흡기압의 차이는 호흡기계의 저항과 역상관관계를 보였으나 (r=-0.777, p<0.01), pause가 없을 때의 최고흡기압에서 pause를 사용했을 때의 최고흡기압으로의 증가는 호흡기계의 저항과 정상관관계를 보여 (r=0.811, p<0.01), 평균기도압의 차이는 호흡기계의 저항과 유의한 정상관관계를 보였다(r=0.681, p<0.05). 평균기도압의 변화는 $PaCO_2$의 변화와 상관관계를 보이지 않았다. 결 론: Volume control ventilation시 동일한 1:3 의 I:E ratio하에서라도 5%의 inspiratory pause를 사용하는 것이 평균기도압을 더 높게 유지할 수 있으며 폐환기를 호전시킬 수 있는 것으로 사료되었다. 또한 호흡기계의 저항이 증가되어 있을수록 평균기도압의 상승이 많았으나 평균기도압의 상승 정도는 폐환기의 변화와 상관관계를 보이지 않았다.

중의성 해소에 기여하는 억양단서의 인지적 민감도 연구 (A Study on Perceptual Sensitivity to Prosodic Cues in Disambiguation)

  • This experimental study has a goal to explore the perceptual sensitivity to phonetic evidence such as duration, phrase accent, or pause in disambiguation. We argue that the realization of the intonational phrasal boundary at the meaningful grammatical boundary in structurally ambiguous sentences facilitates English native listeners to distinguish the meanings of the ambiguous sentences. Moreover, the duration of the phrase-final syllable, pitch range reset, or phrasal tones also provides listeners with important phonetic evidence in disambiguation. In our perception experiment, however, Korean English learners largely depend on the realization of pause. In the results from the perception experiment, all of the groups showed an increase in the response time from the perception of no pause to pause realization. This means that pause at the phonological phrasal boundary plays a role of facilitator to English native speakers with other prosodic cues such as duration, pitch accent, or phrasal tones, while an absolutely important cue to Korean English learners.

The Effect of the Perceived Waiting Time of Viewers on Negative Emotions, Viewing Satisfaction, Viewing Attitude, and Continuous Viewing Intention When an e-Sports Game Pause

  • The purpose of this study is to find out how the perceived waiting time of viewers of e-sports games affects negative emotions and how these negative emotions affect viewing satisfaction, viewing attitude, and continuous viewing intention. To achieve the purpose of this study, 200 viewers who watched e-sports games more than two to three times were targeted. 197 copies were selected as the final valid sample after excluding three of the collected questionnaires that showed unfaithful answers. For data processing methods, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structural equation model analysis were conducted using SPSS 27 and AMOS 25. Through this, the following results were obtained. First, it was found that the perceived waiting time of the viewer had a significant effect on the viewers' negative emotions in the event of a game pause. Second, viewers' negative emotions were found to have a significant effect on viewing attitudes, but not on viewing satisfaction. Third, it was found that viewing attitude had a significant effect on viewing satisfaction and continuous viewing intention. Fourth, it was found that viewing satisfaction had a significant effect on continuous viewing intention. In other words, the more acceptable and shorter the perceived waiting time due to the suspension of the game pause, the lower the negative emotions of the viewers, and the negative emotions of the viewers ultimately affect the intention to continue watching through viewing attitude and viewing satisfaction.

  • 어음 이해는 발화속도에 영향을 받는다. 발화속도는 쉼 간격으로 조절할 수 있는데, 쉼 간격은 정보 처리과정에서 여유 시간을 가질 수 있어서 정보의 과부하를 피할 수 있다. 이 연구는 쉼 간격이 노화에 따른 청력손실과 청각재활, 청각처리 과정에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 기초 연구로서 그 정상치를 알아보고자 한다. 연구 대상은 청각학 및 언어병리학적 문제가 없는 일반 초등학생 남자 7명, 여자 8명으로 하였다. 검사 도구는 3음절 20개를 1 set으로, 모두 4 set를 제작하였다. 이들 모든 낱말은 각각 보통(250 ms), 느린(500 ms), 아주 느린(1000 ms) 속도로 쉼 간격을 조절하였다. 선택용 보기는 올바르게 표기한 3음절 낱말 하나와 음소 하나씩을 오류 표기한 세 개의 낱말을 포함한 4개의 낱말로 하였다. 대상자에게는 3음절 낱말을 들려 준 후, 하나를 선택하게 하였다. 연구 결과 쉼 간격에 따른 평균 어음이해도는 250, 500, 1,000 ms의 순서로 $73{\pm}19.4%$, $84{\pm}12.2%$, $88{\pm}8.8%$로 각각 나타났다.

A Human Mobility Model in Shipyards

  • Shipyards are potential environments for using IoT services, sensor networks, and delay tolerant networks. Simulations of those services and networks strongly rely on human mobility models. Results obtained with an unrealistic model may not reflect the true performance of applications, protocols, and algorithms in a shipyard. A lot of synthetic models for human movements have been studied but most of them are generic and focus on the daily movements of humans on city scales. Nevertheless, workers in shipyards have unique movement characteristics such as movement speed, pause time, and attractions places. For instance, workers usually move to some places, where they work, and rarely move to other places in the factory. Movement characteristics of workers not only depend on workers but also on tasks, which they do. For instance, workers, who paint ships, have similar movement speed and pause time. Hence, in this paper, human movements in shipyards are studied. We propose a new human mobility model called the human mobility mode in shipyards (MIS). In MIS, workers are classified into multiple types. Movement characteristics of a worker are similar to other workers in the same type. Based on the visiting probability, workers have some places, where they frequently visits, and some places, where they rarely visit. We analyze real mobility traces and studie to achieve human movement characteristics from real traces. The results show that MIS provides a well-match to the movement characteristic from real traces.

2인구조자 심폐소생술 시 환기방법에 따른 가슴압박 중단시간의 비교: 일개 대학병원 간호사를 대상으로 (Comparison of compression pause time between different rescue ventilation maneuvers in two-rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to compare the effects of rescue ventilation maneuvers on the quality of two-rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Methods: We implemented mouth to mouth (MMV), mouth to pocket mask (MPV) and bag-valve mask ventilation (BMV) maneuvers. Each team of two-nurses was randomized to perform three consecutive sessions of two-rescuer CPR by using three artificial ventilation maneuvers. Results: The subjects were 26 teams of nurses (female: 96.2%, male: 3.8%, age: 26.6 years). Failed ventilation was more frequent in BMV ($2.23{\pm}2.21$, p <.001) than MMV ($0.31{\pm}0.74$) and MPV ($0.38{\pm}0.64$). BMV had more compressions per minute ($93.7{\pm}5.7$) than MMV ($87.0{\pm}7.2$, p = .001) and shorter total compression pause time ($46.1{\pm}5.8sec$) and compression pause fraction ($23.3{\pm}2.2%$) than MMV ($54.8{\pm}10.3sec$, p = .001, $25.5{\pm}3.5%$, p = .001, respectively) and MPV ($53.1{\pm}7.1sec$, p =. 006 and $25.8{\pm}2.6%$, p = .006, respectively). Conclusion: In our simulation study, BMV reduced the compression pause time and increased the number of compressions per minute, thus indicating CPR provided to patients was effective. However, considering the high rate of ventilation failure, we recommend periodic training.

프링-크래핑 날개의 첫 번째 사이클 운동에 관한 수치적 흐름 가시화 (Numerical Flow Visualization of 1st Cycle Motion of a Fling-clapping Wing)

  • 나비가 비행할 때 적용할 수 있는 프링-크래핑 (fling-clapping) 날개의 첫 번째 사이클 운동에 관한 흐름 가시화가 수행되었다. 본 수치적 흐름 가시화 연구에서는 프링-크랩-정지 (fling-clapping-pause), 크랩-프링-정지(clap-fling-pause)의 단계를 거치는 두 가지 형태의 날개 운동 해석을 위해 시간의존 Navier-Stokes 방정식을 이용하였다. 결과에서는 두개군의 분리와류 쌍과 그것들이 전개되는 과정과 같은 주요 흐름특성이 관찰되었다. 프링-크랩-정지 운동의 경우, 날개가 열리는 프링단계에서 시계반대방향의 강한 분리와류 쌍이 날개 사이의 열린 내부공간에 발달된다. 이어지는 크랩단계에서 분리와류 쌍은 열린 내부공간 밖으로 이동된다. 크랩-프링-정지 운동의 경우, 크랩 단계의 외부 공간에서 발달한 분리와 류 쌍은 뒤따르는 프링 단계에서 열린 내부공간내로 움직인다. 크랩-프링-정지 운동의 프 링 단계에서 발생된 열린 내부공간의 분리와류 쌍은 프링-크랩-정지 운동의 프링단계에서 발생된 열린 내부공간의 분리와류 짱보다 더 강한 와류 쌍임이 관찰되었다.

  • Objective: This study aims to investigate the speech rate, the length of a pause, habitual pitch, and voice intensity of motherese. Subjects and Methods: The research participants comprised 20 mothers (mean age 33 years). Speech data were collected and analyzed using the Real-time Pitch software (KayPENTAX(R)). Results: The average speech rate was 5.33 syllables per second without their infant present and 4.26 syllables per second with their infant present. The average pause length was 1.09 s without their infant present and 1.56 s with their infant present. The average habitual pitch was 199.79 Hz without their infant present and 227.15 Hz with their infant present. The average voice loudness was 61.09 dB without their infant present and 64.49 dB with their infant present. Conclusion: This study presented clinical information for efficiently managing the speech therapy issues of infants and children. This includes proper acoustic and phonological information to recommend to main caregivers.
