The design method of the transversal filter using continuously cascaded directional couplers is presented. The coupler can be treated for a continuously varying nonuniform coupled transmission line. The design method is based on the optimum extraction of desired coupling factor by the control of null positions which are inherent to the coupling spectra pattern. In the optimization process, the improved Woodward-Lawson sampling method is applied to easily synthesize the distributed delay and weighting elements for transversal filter properties. For application, the microstrip transversal filter is fabricated and optimum dielectric overlay is introduced for the mode phase velocity compensation for non-TEM coupler nodes by using SDA(Spectral Domain Approach). Experiment results confirm the validity of the proposed method.

In this paper, we propose a novel small antenna for direction finding applications. The proposed antenna employs a skirt type disk to eliminate the radiation null on the broad-side direction in the high frequency range. Additionally, the multi-section matching stub is used for impedance matching in the low frequency range, The size of the proposed antenna is reduced as a half of the 60cm dipole which has a same resonance frequency of 200MHz. The antenna maintains a donut shape radiation pattern with a broad beam width for a wide range of frequency while the 60cm dipole shows radiation nulls on the broad-side direction and the high side-lobe level from 700MHz to 1,300MHz.

A pattern-switchable origami antenna is designed with paper using inkjet-printing technology. The proposed antenna can be switched between loop and dipole antenna modes by folding and unfolding the paper, respectively. The proposed antenna is designed for the resonant frequencies of both modes to be 1.85 GHz. Eutectic gallium-indium liquid metal is introduced in order to avoid cracks in the conductive ink when the paper is folded. The performance of the proposed antenna is demonstrated through simulation and measurement results and antenna gain of dipole-mode and loop-mode are -4 dBi and -5 dBi, respectively. Also, the nulls of both dipole and loop modes compensate nulls from each mode.
The melting temperature and critical temperature (Tc) of $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ with deferent content impurities of PbO and $BaPbO_3$ were studied. When the PbO was used as addition in $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$, although the melting point could be reduced, the superconductivity (the transition wide, ${\Delta}T_c$) became poor. From the XRD pattern of the sintered mixture of $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ and PbO it was known that there is a reaction between $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ and PbO, and the product is $BaPbO_3$. In the process of the reaction the superconducting phase of $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ was decreased and in the sample $BaPbO_3$ became the main phase. Therefore the superconductivity was reduced. $BaPbO_3$ was chosen as the impurity for the comparative study. The single phase $BaPbO_3$ was synthesized by the simple way from both mixtures of $BaCO_3$ and PbO, $BaCO_3$ and $PbO_2$. Deferent contents of $BaPbO_3$ (10%, 20%, 30%) were added in the $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$. By the phase analysis in the XRD patterns it was proved that there were not reactions between $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ and $BaPbO_3$. When $BaPbO_3$ was used as impurity in $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ the superconductivity was much better than PbO as impurity in $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$. But the melting point of $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ with $BaPbO_3$ could not be found when the temperature was lower than $1000^{\circ}C$ in the DTA measurement.

Game object inheritance and multiple components allow for visualization of system architecture, good code reuse, and fast prototyping. On the other hand, objects are more likely to rely on high latency between game objects and components, static casts, and lots of references to things like null pointers. Therefore, It is important to design a game in such a way so that the dependency of objects on multiple classes could be reduced and existing codes could be reused. Therefore, we designed the game to make the classes more modular by applying Dependency Injection and the design patterns proposed by the Gang of Four. Since these dependencies are attributes of the game object and the injection occurs only in the initialization pass, there is little performance degradation or performance penalty in the game loop. Therefore, this paper proposed an efficient design method to effectively reuse APIs in the design and implementation of survival games.

In this paper, a design optimization method for anti-jamming GPS antenna is presented. For this purpose, jamming performance analysis criteria and methods are presented. And based on the proposed analysis method, the antenna design elements that can realize the best performance were optimized. The anti-jamming GPS antenna for applying the presented method has a structure in which 7 radiating elements are arranged. Here, six radiating elements were circular arranged, and one element was arranged in the center of the circular arrangement. The optimized antenna design parameter(radius of the circular array) is 0.48 λ. As a result of the simulation, it was confirmed that when the steering angle(theta, phi) of the main lobe was (0°, 0°), the pattern null steering range(based on theta) was 57° to 90°.

Objective: To evaluate the following null hypothesis: the skeletal and dentoalveolar expansion patterns in the coronal and axial planes are not different with two different types of microimplant-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) systems. Methods: Pretreatment (T0) and post-MARPE (T1) cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images of 32 patients (14 males and 18 females; mean age, 19.37) were analyzed. We compared two different MARPE systems. One MARPE system included the maxillary first premolars, maxillary first molars, and four microimplants as anchors (U46 type, n = 16), while the other included only the maxillary first molars and microimplants as anchors (U6 type, n = 16). Results: In the molar region of the U6 and U46 groups, the transverse expansion at the midnasal, basal, alveolar, and dental levels was 2.64, 3.52, 4.46, and 6.32 mm and 2.17, 2.56, 2.73, and 5.71 mm, respectively. A significant difference was observed in the posterior alveolar-level expansion (p = 0.036) and posterior basal-bone-level expansion (p = 0.043) between the groups, with greater posterior skeletal and alveolar expansion in the U6 group. Conclusions: Compared with the U46 group, the U6 group showed greater posterior expansion at the alveolar and basal-bone levels, with an almost parallel split. Both groups showed a pyramidal expansion pattern in the coronal view.

To efficiently manage forest resources, it is essential to deploy multiple unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with various sensors simultaneously. Consequently, the ground control station antenna should not only maintain continuous tracking of the target station but also minimize the impact of radio interference on other unmanned aerial vehicle stations. In this paper, we presented beam forming techniques based on the VPR algorithm within a ground control station constructed using a phased array antenna system. Through simulation experiments in diverse unmanned aerial vehicle operating environments, it was demonstrated that the presented method enables not only the continuous tracking of operational unmanned aerial vehicles but also the suppression of radio interference by establishing a continuous pattern null for multiple operational radio interference sources.
The patchiness of local environments within a habitat is assumed to be a primary factor affecting the spatial patterns of plants, and a randomization procedure is developed for testing the null hypothesis that only spatial association with patches determined the spatial patterns of plants. Chloranthus japonicus (Chloranthaceae) is an herbaceous perennial and a member of the genus Chloranthus in the family Chloranthaceae. The spatial pattern of C. japonicus was analyzed according to several patchiness indices, population uniformity or aggregation under different sizes of plots by dispersion indices, and spatial autocorrelation. Population densities (D) varied from 0.356 to 2.270, with a mean of 1.527. The values of dispersion indices ( at Mt. Ahop were lower than 1 at six plots ($2m{\times}2m$, $2m{\times}4m$, $4m{\times}4m$, $4m{\times}8m$, $8m{\times}8m$, and $8m{\times}16m$), but the two large plots ($16m{\times}16m$ and $16m{\times}32m$) were higher than 1. Thus, the aggregation indices ( were negative at Mt. Ahop, which indicates a uniform distribution. The two large plots ($16m{\times}16m$ and $16m{\times}32m$) had positive CIs. However, the values were not large (0.009 for the $16m{\times}16m$ plot and 0.038 for the $16m{\times}32m$ plot). The mean crowding ($M^{\ast}$) and patchiness index (PAI) showed positive values for all plots.
The patchiness of local environments within a habitat is assumed to be a primary factor affecting the spatial patterns of plants. In this study, a randomization procedure was developed to test the null hypothesis that only spatial association with patches determines the spatial patterns of plants. Oplismenus undulatifolius (Ard.) P. Beauv. var. undulatifolius is an herbaceous plant and a member of the genus Oplismenus in the family Poaceae. Oplismenus hirtellus subsp. undulatifolius occurs in temperate, subtropical, and tropical areas of the world. The spatial pattern of O. undulatifolius var. undulatifolius was analyzed using dispersion indices in different sizes of plots according to several patchiness indexes, population uniformity, or aggregation. Population densities (D) at Mt. Hanwoo varied from 0.453 to 4.375, with a mean of 2.387. The small and mid-sized plots ($2m{\times}2m$, $2m{\times}4m$, $4m{\times}4m$, $4m{\times}8m$, and $8m{\times}8m$) of O. undulatifolius var. undulatifolius were aggregated in the forest community. However, O. undulatifolius var. undulatifolius was uniformly distributed in three large plots ($8m{\times}16m$, $16m{\times}16m$, and $16m{\times}32m$). The greatest mean crowding ($M^*$) and patchiness index (PAI) showed positive values. Aggregation is mainly caused by environmental factors. Many plants on Mt. Hanwoo are being disturbed by climbers, which is preventing these plants from inhabiting their realized niches on Mt. Hanwoo.
