Objective The purpose of this case study was to report improvements of a Soyangin patient with dysgeusia which a salty taste persisted in the mouth. Methods This patient was identified as Soyangin and treated by Yangkyuksanwha-tang-gamibang, acupuncture and moxa. Patient's symptom was assessed G/A(Global Assessment). Results and Conclusions The symptom of a lasting salty taste in the mouth was improved remarkably after using Korean medicine treatment, especially Yangkyuksanwha-tang-gamibang.

Objective: This study aimed to report the improvement of a patient with nummular eczema treated with Hoeyeok-tang based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods: According to the disease pattern identification diagnostic system (DPIDS) based on the Shanghanlun provisions, the patient was diagnosed with lesser yin disease according to the 324^th provision. The patient was treated with Hoeyeok-tang for 90 days. The severity of pruritus decreased, and changes in symptoms were estimated by a visual analog scale, Scoring Atopic Dermatitis Index and the Validated Investigator Global Assessment for Atopic Dermatitis. Results: The patient's symptoms were improved. The severity of pruritus decreased and they recovered from abrasions. Conclusions: This study suggests that the 324^th provision of Shanghanlun refer directly to nummular eczema.

Among medical claims review, decision of malignancy is very important. According to the pathologic report may be ordinary pathway. Some tumors are not completely studied especially malignancy. Wheather malignancy or benign is the important thing in medical claims review. We here disscuss on the debatable tumors such as carcinoid tumor, gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), desmoid tumor, MALToma, and pseudomyxoma peritonei. Another controversial subject in the medical claims review is selection of pathologic report. If the result of the pathologic report is not same in one patient, We prefer the selsection of the report from more professional hospital. We have called this professional hospital l as "third hospital" or 'refferal hospital".

본 연구는 일개 요양병원 입원 환자들의 의무기록 정보를 바탕으로 환자분류군에 따른 입원 환자 특성을 파악하고, 각 요인 간의 상관 관계를 분석하여 요양병원 환자분류 체계 개선에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 시행하였다. 연구 대상은 2016년 1월부터 12월까지 1년간 전북 지역 일개 요양병원에서 퇴원한 환자들의 의무기록 정보 총 213건으로 선정하였다. 재원일수와 상병 개수의 상관계수는 양의 상관 관계를 보여 환자가 가지고 있는 상병이 많을수록 재원일수가 길어지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 기반으로 환자분류군을 결정하는 환자평가표의 항목들을 실제로 환자에게 제공되는 의학적인 노력이 반영될 수 있도록 수정·보완하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 각 환자분류군별로 중점적으로 관리해야 할 문제점을 파악하여 각 분류군에 적합한 케어 서비스 체계를 수립하는 것이 효율적인 요양병원 운영을 위한 필수 요소이자 나아가 국가적 차원에서도 노인 인구의 건강을 관리하는 데 중요한 과제임을 알 수 있다.

A thyroid cartilage fracture is a rare entity and can be overlooked easily. Such cases are difficult to diagnose, and assessment and treatment guidelines are difficult to determine. CT of the neck region may be useful when acute airway intervention is not required or when more information regarding the neck's anatomy is required for management decisions. We describe a case of a thyroid cartilage fracture with displacement. In the emergency department (ED), neck CT and fiberoptic nasopharyngoscopy were used to assess the status of the patient's (a male) vocal chords immediately. He remained unable to phonate continuously. After an immediate assessment, we decided to use steroid and conservative therapy. The patient had a good recovery and was without symptoms one month after injury. There is no question that early surgical repair of neck injuries affords the best results for airway and voice patency in most cases however, we suspect that surgical repair is not needed in all cases. Early recognition and an accurate therapy plan for a thyroid fracture with displacement are essential. Therefore, the emergency physician's immediate and careful decision based on endoscopy and neck CT is important for the patient's long-term recovery.

Purpose : Currently, ICF to describe the functions and disability in the world has been used as a universal language. ICF tools based on ICF, the rehabilitation management of clients have been developed to be efficient. This study was designed to describe clinical decision for functional goal of clients to used ICF tools. Methods : In the following the utilization of all developed ICF tools will be described within a case example of a 53-year-old women, suffering from cerebellum disorder. As problems in the subject's functional activities was difficulties in changes sitting postures, standing postures and maintaining standing postures. Activity limitation was determined change sitting, standing posture as a goal through discussion with the patient. Results : After setting the identified problems as the purpose of intervention through the assessment, we find out the outcomes using the ICF evaluation display. Consequently, with functional activities limitation that discovered from assessment(categorical profile, assessment sheet), sitting postures to standing postures and maintaining standing postures were improved. Conclusion : This study was showed ICF tools based on Rehab-cycle for the patient's functional goals clinical practice. The future study, the ICF in clinical practical tools for effective use will require more attempt.

Objectives: This study evaluates the effect of Korean medicine in a patient with multiple system atrophy-C (MSA-C). Methods: A patient diagnosed with MSA-C was treated with herbal medicine (Boyangwhano-tang hap Yeokgan-san), acupuncture, and moxibustion for 8 weeks. Clinical improvements were evaluated by the unified MSA rating scale (UMSARS) and the scale for the assessment and rating of ataxia (SARA). Results: Improvements in the total scores of UMSARS Part I, II, and IV and SARA were observed after Korean medicine treatments. However, there were no improvements to the urinary and autonomic dysfunctions. Conclusions: Korean medicine treatment may be an effective treatment for a degenerative, progressive disease like MSA-C.

Objectives The purpose of this case was to report significant improvement of abdominal pain, constipation and a slight improvement of tremor after treatment by Sasang Constitutional Medicine to the patient with Parkinson's disease.Methods The patient was diagnosed as Soyangin according to the result of Sasang constitutional diagnosis, and treated by Sasang constitutional medications and acupuncture. The progress was evaluated with the Global Assessment Scale (GAS).Results The abdominal pain was reduced from Numeric Rating Scale (NRS)9 to NRS1 and headache was reduced from NRS5 to NRS3. The tremor was reduced to GAS 10. Unified Parkinson Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) was reduced from 40 to 27. The difference of heat distribution between left and right side was reduced and the abdomen was more warmer on Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI).Conclusions Sasang constitutional medicine can be a solution for the non motor symptoms caused by Parkinson's disease.

Objectives The purpose of this case study is to report that a Soeumin patient diagnosed as adult atopic dermatitis was treated with Sipyimigwanjung-tang and then his symptoms improved. Methods We diagnosed the patient as Soeumin Greater Yin Pattern based on his nature & emotion, physical characteristics, symptoms. So we treated him with Sipyimigwanjung-tang and used Visual Analogue Scale(VAS), SCORAD(Scoring of Atopic Dermatitis) index and pictures of the affected part for the assessment. Results & Conclusions After treatment, his SCORAD index results significantly decreased from 76.3 to 41.8, VAS of itching decreased from 10 to 4 and the patient's subjective symptom and general condition considerably improved. This case study describe the effectiveness of Sipyimigwanjung-tang on Soeumin adult atopic dermatitis symptoms.
