  • 수동 소나 시스템에서 표적을 탐지, 식별하는데 가장 중요한 인자는 표적소음에서 나타나는 신호 주파수선 성분이다. 수중의 주변잡음과 표적소음이 복합된 환경에서 표적의 신호 주파수선 성분을 정확히 추출하는데는 신호 탐지 문턱값 설정이나 주변잡음의 변화 때문에 어려움이 따른다. 이 연구에서는 자동 연상 기억장치 신경망을 이용하여 신호 탐지 문턱값 설정이나 주변잡음의 변화에 강인한 음향 표적의 신호 주파수선 탐지 방식을 제안한다. 모의 실험 및 실제 표적 신호에 적용하여 제안한 방식이 우수한 신호 주파수선 탐지성능을 나타냄을 보인다.

  • 차량검출은 교통량 관측(모니터링)을 위해서 필요한 가장 기본적인 요소이다. 영상을 기반으로 한 교통정보추출 시스템은 다른 방식을 이용하는 시스템들과 비교했을 때 몇 가지 두드러진 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 영상기반 시스템에서는 영상에 포함된 그림자가 차량검출의 정확도를 저해하는 요소로 작용하는 데, 특히 이동 중인 차량에 의해서 발생하는 환성 그림자는 심각한 성능저하를 야기할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 차량검출과 그림자 영향 제거를 위해서 배경 빼기와 에지 검출을 결합한 새로운 접근방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 노변의 지형지물에 의해서 발생하는 비활성 그림자가 크게 증가하는 상황에서도, 98(%)이상의 차량검출 정확도를 나타내었다. 본 논문에서 제안한 차량검출 방법을 기반으로 하여, 차량 추적, 차량 계수, 차종 분류, 그리고 속도 측정을 수행하여 각 차로의 부하를 나타내는 데 사용되는 차량 흐름과 관련된 여러 가지 교통정보를 추출하였다.

수동형-능동형 위성센서 관측자료를 이용한 대기 에어러솔의 3차원 분포 및 복사강제 효과 산정 (Aerosol Direct Radiative Forcing by Three Dimensional Observations from Passive- and Active- Satellite Sensors)

  • Aerosol direct radiative forcing (ADRF) retrieval method was developed by combining data from passive and active satellite sensors. Aerosol optical thickness (AOT) retrieved form the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) as a passive visible sensor and aerosol vertical profile from to the Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations (CALIPSO) as an active laser sensor were investigated an application possibility. Especially, space-born Light Detection and Ranging (Lidar) observation provides a specific knowledge of the optical properties of atmospheric aerosols with spatial, temporal, vertical, and spectral resolutions. On the basis of extensive radiative transfer modeling, it is demonstrated that the use of the aerosol vertical profiles is sensitive to the estimation of ADRF. Throughout the investigation of relationship between aerosol height and ADRF, mean change rates of ADRF per increasing of 1 km aerosol height are smaller at surface than top-of-atmosphere (TOA). As a case study, satellite data for the Asian dust day of March 31, 2007 were used to estimate ADRF. Resulting ADRF values were compared with those retrieved independently from MODIS only data. The absolute difference values are 1.27% at surface level and 4.73% at top of atmosphere (TOA).

기계적 접점을 이용한 FCL의 동작 특성 (Operational Characteristics of the FCL Using the Mechanical Contact in the Power System)

  • These days, SFCLs are being developed in order to limit fault current. However, the superconducting elements that limit the fault current have such problems as capacity increase and require auxiliary devices including cooling device. If devices that comprise the current power network can withstand fault current for at least one cycle, it is possible to limit the fault current with current limiting elements by bypassing it on the fault line. In this study, the fault current limiter was configured with current transformer, vacuum interrupter, and current limiting element. Through the experience, it was confirmed that the fault current was limited within one cycle. The superconducting element, as a current limiting element, limited the fault current by 80 % within one cycle from fault occurrence, and the passive element limited it more than 95 %. Also, through the comparison between resistance curve and power consumption curve, it was confirmed that the current limiting element using a passive element was more stable than the superconducting element that required capacity increase and other auxiliary devices. It was considered that the FCL proposed in this study could limit fault current stably within one cycle from fault occurrence by using the existing power technologies such as fault current detection and solenoid valve operating circuit.

마이크로웨이브 센서를 이용한 에너지 절약시스템 개발 (Development of Energy Saving System Using the Microwave Sensor)

  • Because of directly receiving the thing in which a microwave is reflected and comparing the frequency, the microwave sensor with doppler effect completely overcomes the problem of the passive infrared sensor. The microwave sensor with doppler effect well operates about a temperature, the dust, and the peripheral noise because of being dull in the most of ambient conditions. The system developed in this research is the electricity saving detection sensor which it senses the real time action of a man as the microwave sensor and automatically turns on the electric lamp and turns off, minimizes the electrical energy consumption. Since the microwave sensor is not influenced in the light, the dust, and the natural element like the ambient temperature, the effectiveness is considered to be superior to the passive infrared sensor being used currently. There was the energy reduction effect more than about 60% in the performed example which established this system. When this was compared with the construction cost, the cost of establishing payback period was about 1-1.5 year. The microwave sensor with doppler effect developed from this research result is convinced in the future to do enough for the electric energy saving.

  • 밀리미터파 영상시스템은 위험한 은닉 물체를 탐지하는 분야에 활용되고 있다. 능동형 시스템은 외부 RF 신호원이 필요하지만 수동형은 인체와 물체의 온도차에 의한 흑체복사 성질을 이용하므로 실내외에서 사용이 가능하다. 그러나 일반적으로 수동형 밀리미터파 영상은 온도분해능과 신호레벨이 낮고 잡음의 영향이 크다. 본 논문에서 은닉 물체까지의 거리 추정을 위한 수동형 스테레오 3mm 밀리미터파 영상에 관한 연구를 수행한다. 수평, 수직 편광 밀리미터파 영상시스템에서 획득한 두 쌍의 스테레오 영상을 이용하여 은닉물체를 k-means 클러스터링 알고리즘으로 몸체영역과 분할하고 물체의 중심 위치를 이용하여 거리를 추정한다. 실험에서 성공적으로 거리를 추정할 수 있음을 확인한다.

  • PV system's islanding occurs when the uitilty grid is removed but local sources continue to operate and provide power to local loads. Islanding is one of the serious problems in an electric power system connected with dispersed power sources. Also, this can present safety hazards and the possibility of damage to other electric equipments. If the real and reactive power of RLC load and PV system are closely matched, islanding detection by passive methods becomes difficult. Novel islanding detection method is proposed for grid-connected PV system.

  • In this paper, a method to detect and diagnose faults in Automated Manufacturing Systems(AMS) is proposed. In AMS, it is necessary to monitor the process-status. The detection and diagnosis of faults are often difficult in monitoring level with given passive data. We propose the model-based monitoring system for faults detection and diagnosis using Petri Nets to model AMS efficiently and easily. Simulation results show the validity of proposed method with example of Reverse Mill Process in Automated Mill Lines.

  • A passive approach for enhancing fault detection and isolation performance of multiple observer based fault detection isolation schemes(FDIS) is proposed. The FDIS has a hierarchical framework to perform detection and isolation of faults of interest, and diagnosis of process faults. The decision unit comprises of a rule base and fuzzy inference engine and removes some difficulties of conventional decision unit which includes crisp logic and threshold values. Emphasis is placed on the design and evaluation methods of the diagnostic rule base. The suggested scheme is applied for the FDIS design for a DC motor driven centrifugal pump system.
