승용차 공회전제한장치 장착전략의 경제효과분석: 수도권 지역을 대상으로 (Economic Effects Analysis for Passenger Car's Idle Stop and Go Strategy: Focusing on Seoul Metropolitan Area)

  • 수송 분야의 온실가스 감축에서 차량운행 중 공회전에 따른 온실가스 발생 문제는 중요한 요소이므로 최근 버스, 트럭, 택시에서의 공회전제한장치(ISG) 장착이 법제화되고 있으며, 일반 승용차에도 ISG 장착을 확대하려는 추세이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수도권 지역을 대상으로 승용차의 차종별 ISG 장착 전략에 따른 경제적 효과분석 결과를 기반으로 그에 따른 정책 방향성을 제시하고자 한다. 분석 결과, 서울시 사업용 승용차에 ISG를 장착하는 전략이 가장 효과적(B/C: 8.55)으로 나타났고, 그에 따른 연료절감량은 660(${\ell}$/년/대)이며, $CO_2$ 저감량은 1,606(kg/년/대)인 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는 향후 일반 승용차의 ISG 장착에 대한 적정 보조금 산정 등의 정책 판단 지표로 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

승용차 냉방장치로부터의 온실가스 냉매인 HFC-134a 탈루배출모델에 대한 연구 (Development of Fugitive Emission Model of HFC-134a from Mobile Air Conditioner of Passenger Automobiles)

  • The objective of this research was to develop fugitive emission models of HFC-134a (Hydrofluorocarbon-134a) at the operation and disposal stages of passenger cars. It is essential to estimate the emission of HFC-134a from mobile air conditioner (MAC) due to its high Global Warming Potential (GWP) and extensive use as a refrigerant in MAC. The first-order emission model was introduced and the emission rate constant was assumed to be unvaried with time. A commercial recovery station of refrigerants was used to recover the HFC-134a from the MAC. Average emission rate constant and annual emission rate during the operation period of vehicle are estimated to be $0.0538{\pm}0.0092$ (n=21) $yr^{-1}$ and $5.2{\pm}0.6%$, respectively within a confidence interval of 95%. According to the model results, about 50% of HFC-134a would be emitted from the MAC during the 10 years operation of passenger cars. On the other hand, average remaining portion of HFC-134a in the MACs of scrap cars is $58.2{\pm}4.8%$ (n=50) within a confidence interval of 95%, suggesting that over 40% of the initially charged amount could be released fugitively after disposal provided that the HFC-134a would not be properly treated or recycled.

  • Automotive exhaust is suspected to be one of the main reasons of the rapid increase in greenhouse effect gases in ambient air. Although methane emissions are generally orders of magnitude lower than emissions of $CO_{2}$, the global warming potential (GWP) of methane is greater than that of $CO_{2}$. The environmental impact of methane emissions from vehicles is negligible and is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future. In this study, in order to investigate greenhouse gas emission characteristics from gasoline passenger cars, 20 vehicles were tested on the chassis dynamometer and methane emissions were measured. The emission characteristics by model year, mileage, vehicle speed were discussed. Test mode is CVS-15 mode that have been used to regulate for light-duty vehicle in Korea. It was found that $CH_{4}$ emissions showed higher for cold start, old model year and long mileage than hot start, new model year and short mileage, respectively. These results were compared with IPCC emission factors and the overall our results were anticipated to contribute for domestic greenhouse gas emissions calculation.

광역전철의 승용차 경쟁력 평가모형 개발 : 경의선·중앙선 급행열차 직결운행을 중심으로 (Development of a Model for Evaluating Metropolitan Railways' Competitiveness Against Passenger Cars: Focusing on the Express Train Service of Gyeongeui·Joongang Connected Line)

  • 본 연구는 광역전철 활성화를 목표로 승용차 대비 경쟁력 평가를 위한 수단선택모형을 개발하였다. 연구대상 노선은 수도권의 경의선과 중앙선이며, 열차운행 구간은 두 노선을 연결하는 일산역부터 구리역까지 설정하였다. 수단선택모형은 잠재선호조사(SP) 자료를 이용한 개별행태모형이며, 교통수단선택의 경쟁구도는 승용차와 급행열차이다. 연구 결과, 수단선택모형이 적정한 수준으로 도출되었으며, 이를 이용하여 통행자의 시간가치와 탄력성 값이 나타내는 특성을 분석하였다. 분석결과 광역전철에서 급행열차를 운행할 경우에는 통행비용의 감소보다는 통행시간의 단축에 주안점을 두는 것이 더욱 효과적으로 나타났다. 또한 이 같은 측면에서 개별노선간의 직결운행을 확대하고 급행열차를 운행하여 환승시간과 차내시간을 줄여주는 정책 추진이 요구된다.

도시철도 차량별 혼잡도 개선 방안 (A study on the improvement of the congestion level for each car in urban railways)

  • In urban railways operated by 10 cars or 8 cars per trainset, passengers split up and board a train. On-board passengers for each car are not aware of congestion level of other cars of the train. Passengers waiting at stations can not predict congestion rate of the car which they get on. Therefore, the number of passengers is not equally distributed. The cars with a relatively low congestion level and the ones with a high level coexist in the train. The objective of this paper is to enhance passenger convenience and improve train operational efficiency through operational headway adjustments according to congestion level of each car. It also aims to spread passengers out evenly and assess the degree of congestion on each car by measuring the weight of each car including passengers during peak and off-peak hours.

  • This paper aims for proposed the deflection limit on vibration serviceability of high-speed railway bridges considering passenger's comfort when a train passes a railway bridge. The vertical acceleration signals of passenger cars obtained from test were compared with them from the bridge-train transfer function by riding KTX. The deflections by KTX of seven high speed railway bridges were assumed as sine and haversine wave. The deflection limit on vibration serviceability of high-speed railway bridges considering passenger's comfort when a train passes a railway bridge duration can be expanded using bridge-train transfer function and bridge comfort limit considering serviceability due to bridge vibration. And it was compared to other allowable deflection limits of railway bridge design specifications.

  • Acoustic modal property of the vehicle passenger compartment is a very important factor which dominates vehicle interior noise in the low frequency range. In most real cars, trunk noise often transfers into the passenger compartment since the two cavities are acoustically coupled. This study identifies the major coupling path by examining the variation of the coupled acoustic modal frequencies and modes. An 1/2 size acryl compartment model is designed and manufactured for the measurement and analysis of coupled acoustic modes. Experimental result shows that package tray contributes to the coupling much more than the back seat and hole size of the package tray is an important design factor to control low frequency acoustic modes in the coupled system.

승용차 Combination Meter의 가독성 향상을 위한 색상 설계 (Color Design of Combination Meter in Passenger Car for Improving Readability)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey colors of background, marker, and pointer being used in passenger car's combination meter, and to suggest ergonomic design guidelines of combination meter to enhance driver's readability. An experiment was conducted, in which colors of background, marker, and pointer were selected as independent variables, and reading time, reading error, and preference for combination meter were measured as dependent variables. Most of passenger cars sold in Korea were found to have combination meter with black background, while marker. The experimental results showed that reading time of combination meter with white background, black marker and point was shortest, reading error was lowest in combination meter with black background, yellow marker pointer, and preference for combination meter with white background, black marker and black or red pointer was highest. The results implied that combination meter with white background, black marker and black pointer should be used for comprehensively optimizing reading time, reading error, and preference for it. It was expected that these results could be used as valuable design guidelines when designing combination meter of passenger car.

제주지역 렌터카 및 비사업용 승용차 사고특성 비교분석 (A Comparative Analysis of the Rental-car and non-Commercial Passenger Car Accident Characteristics in Jeju Island)

  • 지난 10년간 대한민국에서 발생한 전체 교통사고 수는 감소했지만, 사업용 차량의 교통사고는 꾸준히 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 특히, 연중 많은 관광객이 방문하고 렌터카를 주 교통 수단으로 이용하는 제주도의 경우 렌터카 사고 문제로 심각한 인명 피해와 사회적 비용이 야기되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 제주지역에서 발생한 렌터카 사고의 특성을 비사업용 일반승용차 사고 특성과 비교 분석하였고, 사고 감소 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 지난 2년간(2014-2015년) 제주지역에서 발생한 918건의 렌터카 사고와 4,201건의 일반승용차 사고 데이터를 카이제곱검정 및 z-검정 등의 통계적 방법론을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 렌터카 사고와 일반승용차 사고의 특성은 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 렌터카 사고는 20-30대 젊은 운전자와 면허를 취득한지 얼마 되지 않은 운전자 비율이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 인적 및 환경적 요인에 관련된 사고특성이 일반승용차와 유의한 수준 하에서 통계적으로 다르게 나타났다. 특히 운전 미숙, 낯선 지리, 익숙하지 않은 차량 등은 렌터카 사고를 유발하는 주요 원인으로 판단된다. 반면, 렌터카 사고 분석결과 차량적 요인에 대한 명확한 특징은 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구의 결과는 제주지역 뿐만 아니라 렌터카 운행이 증가하는 지역, 관광지 특성이 강한 지역에서 교통사고 특성 분석 및 교통안전대책 수립과정에서 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
