Partition-based Big Data Analysis and Visualization Algorithm (빅데이터 분석을 위한 파티션 기반 시각화 알고리즘)

  • Today, research is actively being conducted to derive meaningful results from big data. In this paper, we propose a partition-based big data analysis algorithm that can analyze the correlation between variables by setting the data areas of big data as partitions and calculating the representative values of each partition. In this paper, the analyzed visualization results are compared according to the partition size of a proposed partition-based big data analysis (PBDA) algorithm that can control the size of the partition. In order to verify the proposed PBDA algorithm, the big data of 'A' is analyzed, and meaningful results are obtained through the analysis of changes in sales volume of products according to changes in temperature and sales price.

  • This paper propose a new design of fuzzy neural networks based on hard partition to generate the rules of the networks. For this we use hard c-means (HCM) clustering algorithm. The premise part of the rules of the proposed networks is realized with the aid of the hard partition of input space generated by HCM clustering algorithm. The consequence part of the rule is represented by polynomial functions. And the coefficients of the polynomial functions are learned by BP algorithm. The number of the hard partition of input space equals the number of clusters and the individual partitioned spaces indicate the rules of the networks. Due to these characteristics, we may alleviate the problem of the curse of dimensionality. The proposed networks are evaluated with the use of numerical experimentation.

  • In this paper, we present an approach to the structure identification based on the input space partition methods and to the parameter identification by hybrid learning method in neuro-fuzzy system. The structure identification can automatically estimate the number of membership function and fuzzy rule using grid partition, tree partition, scatter partition from numerical input-output data. And then the parameter identification is carried out by the hybrid learning scheme using back-propagation and least squares estimate. Finally, we sill show its usefulness for neuro-fuzzy modeling to truck backer-upper control.

  • In this paper, we propose a low power Scan-based Built-ln Self Test based on circuit partitioning and pattern suppression using modified test control unit. To partition a CUT(Circuit Under Testing), the MHPA(Multilevel Hypergraph Partition Algorithm) is used. As a result of circuit partition, we can reduce the total length of test pattern, so that power consumptions are decreased in test mode. Also, proposed Scan-based BIST architecture suppresses a redundant test pattern by inserting an additional decoder in BIST control unit. A decoder detects test pattern with high fault coverage, and applies it to partitioned circuits. Experimental result on the ISCAS benchmark circuits shows the efficiency of proposed low power BIST architecture.

  • The operating systems in the system architecture, which is integrated several applications and modular electronic devices in the same computing device, demand partitioning technology for safety. Thus, operation system requires partition scheduler for partition scheduling. When we design partition scheduler in embedded system, which has small memory and low performance, such as space system, we must consider not only performance but also memory. In this paper, we introduces a linux-based memory efficient partition scheduler using partition bitmap. This partition scheduler demands small memory space and produce low partition switching overhead. The prototype was executed on a LEON4 processor, which is the Next Generation Multicore Processor (NGMP) in the space sector. In evaluation, this prototype shows accuracy, additional memory space and low partition switching overhead.

  • In this paper, w describe partitioning large circuits into multiple chips on the programmable FPCB for rapid prototyping. FPCBs consists of areas for FPGAs for logic and interconnect components, and the routing topology among them are predetermined. In the partition problem for FPCBs, the number of wires ofr routing among chips is fixed, which is an additonal constraints to the conventional partition problem. In order to deal with such aconstraint properly we first define a new partition problem, so called the topologybased partition problem, and then propose a heuristic method. The heuristic method is based on the simulated annealing and clustering technique. The multi-level tree clustering technique is used to obtain faster and better prtition results. In the experimental results for several test circuits, the restrictions for FPCB were all satisfied and the needed execution time was about twice the modified K-way partition method for large circuits.

Natural Convective Flow and Heat Transfer in a Square Enclosure with a Horizontal Partition (수평격판을 갖는 정사각형 밀폐공간내에서 자연대류 유동 및 열전달)

  • Natural convective flow and heat transfer in a two-dimensional square enclosure fitted with a horizontal partition are investigated numerically. The enclosure was composed of the lower hot and the upper cold horizontal walls and the adiabatic vertical walls, and a partition was situated perpendicularly at the one vertical insulated wall. The governing equations are solved by using the finite element method with Galerkin method. The computations were carried out with the variations of length, position and thermal conductivity of the partition, and Rayleigh number based on the temperature difference between two horizontal walls and the enclosure height with water(Pr=4.95). As the results, an oscillatory motion of natural convection is resulted in a sudden rise of overall heat transfer, but the increase of length of partition is significantly restrained the increase of Nusselt number. The maximum heat transfer was shown just before the transition of the direction of oscillating flow. An oscillatory motion of flow was perfectly shown the stability with the decrease of the length of partition and Rayleigh number. Also, the heat transfer was raised with the increase of the thermal conductivity in proportion to the increase of the length of partition. The stability and oscillation of flow are affected by the position of partition.

  • Recently, embedded systems such as aircraft and automobilie, are developed as modular architecture instead of federated architecture because of SWaP(Size, Weight and Power) issues. In addition, partition operating system that support multiple logical node based on partition concept were recently appeared. Distributed recovery block is fault tolerance design scheme that applicable to mission critical real-time system to support real-time take over via real-time synchronization between participated nodes. Because of real-time synchronization, single-core based computer is not suitable for partition based distributed recovery block design scheme. Multi-core and AMP(Asymmetric Multi-Processing) based partition architecture is required to apply distributed recovery block design scheme. In this paper, we proposed design scheme of distributed recovery block on the multi-core based supervised-AMP architecture partition operating system. This paper implements flight control simulator for avionics to check feasibility of our design scheme.

Effects of Inclination of Enclosure and Partition on Natural Convective Heat Transfer in a Partitioned Enclosure (격판을 가진 밀폐공간내의 자연대류 열전달에 공간 및 격판의 경사가 미치는 영향)

The enclosure was composed of the lower hot and the upper cold horizontal walls and the adiabatic vertical walls, and a partition was positioned perpendicularly at the mid-height of one vertical insulated wall. The governing equations are solved by using the finite element method with Galerkin method. The computations were performed with the variations of the partition length and Rayleigh number based on the temperature difference between two horizontal walls and the enclosure height with water(Pr=4.95). The effects of the inclination angle of enclosure and partition on the heat transfer within an enclosure were also studied. As the results, the increase of the inclination angle of enclosure rapidly raised the heat transfer rate, while the inclination angle for the maximum Nusselt number was retarded with the increase of the partition length and the decrease of the heat transfer rate became larger in proportion to the increase of the partition length. The Nusselt number obtained by the inclination of partition was smaller than that of the inclination of enclosure. However, the difference of the heat transfer rates was considerably decreased at the longer partition lengths and the trends for the variation of the average Nusselt number were more similar with that of the inclination of enclosure. The upward oriented partition increases the convective heat transfer distinctly in contrast to that of the inclination of enclosure as the partition length increases.

  • A high speed train passing through a station may have undesired effects to passengers on platform due to abrupt pressure transients. Therefore it is very important to reduce the possible degree of danger by installing partition walls in passing lanes in designing the stations having passing train. In the present study, a pressure load to a passenger on platform is studied for the cases of various heights of the partition wall to assess the effectiveness of the wall on the passenger safety. From the results, it is seen that the pressure load on a passenger may be largely reduced by the partition wall. The heights of the partition wall for various passing speed are also studied based on the safety regulation.
