For lower power and smaller size with higher image quality, it is desirable to have more units integrated on a display panel. It needs careful design considerations in selecting CMOS, SOP or PCB. An experimental display system is designed and power and delay considering chip area, data rates and bus width are analyzed for all technology combinations to obtain optimum design methodologies.

The aim of this study is to extract the design vocabulary of flexibility from analyzing Steven Holl' architectural works. For this purpose, the four works were selected and the design elements like their concepts, elevations, plans, furnitures, lights, materials, and colors were analyzed. The results of this study are as follows ; First, flexible design method is shown in adaptable space planning by using system of hinged panel and multi-functional furniture of various form. Second, Windows were made a plan of the geometric partition of surface and with clear materials for expanding space to outside. Third, the changing of level and the using of the phenomenological elements like a light color, water, and materials were applied for enhancing the image of the flexible space.

This paper deals experimentally with the effect of the sound-damping sheet on building wall system; brick wall, light wall panel, and gypsum board. Experimental results show that when the sound-damping sheet is attached on wall systems, the mass and/or damping effects result in increasing of STL of wall system depending on the characteristics of the original partition. It is pointed out that the performances of sound damping sheets must be presented with specific wall structures that applied, not by the sound transmission loss of the sheet itself.

This paper presents smart regional contrast enhancement technique of partitioned image for local dimming backlight on small-sized mobile display to reach two goals. One is to save the power consumption, and the other to improve contrast ratio of display image. Recently new advanced method is proposed, named local dimming method, that backlight LED is positioned on backside of the display panel. So it is important to partition an image by sub blocks and then post-processing independantly. This means regional contrast enhancement. After partitioning, we compare the mean luminance(Y) value of each sub-block image with the one of original whole image. If some blocks have the mean value lower than the one of whole image, they are processed with the proposed method and others are bypassed. Simultaneously the information of the processed blocks are transferred to BLC(Backlight LED Controller). And then the supply current of each backlight LED is reduced to realize the contrast ratio enhancement and at the same time to power consumption reduction. In addition, we verify this proposed method is free from blocking artifacts.

Currently, the concern about the environment is the issue all over the world, and in particular, carbon emissions of the power plants will not be able to disregard from the respect of generation cost. This paper proposes DR (demand response) as a method of reducing carbon emissions and therefore, carbon emissions cost. There are a number of studies considering DR, and in this paper, the effect of DR is focused on the side of carbon emission reduction effect considering Time-Of-Use (TOU) program, which is one of the most important economic methods in DSM. Demand-price elasticity matrix is used in this paper to model and analyze DR effect. Carbon emissions is calculated by using the carbon emission coefficient provided by IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), and generator's input-output characteristic coefficients are also used to estimate carbon emission cost as well as the amount of carbon emissions. Case study is conducted on the RBTS IEEE with six buses. For the TOU program, it is assumed that parameters of time period partition consist of three time periods (peak, flat, off-peak time period).

It is considered that jacket was widespread in the 19th century due to its simple and convenient production technique. This study aims to explore the western women's jacket in the late 19th century, which is the basis of modern women's outwear, and we focused on the patterns and construction, the technical aspect of the jacket. We researched pattern books and preserved costume materials, and the study methods are as follows: First, we analyzed the pattern of the jackets from the pattern books and preserved costumes. Second, we analyzed the construction of the jackets from the preserved costumes and compared it to previous researches. The study results are as follows: 19th century jacket consisted of a bodice, a back bodice, a side panel, two-piece sleeve and a collar. The front bodice had cuttings and a dart to make the jacket fit the shape of the body and the two-pieced leg of mutton sleeve, puffed at the shoulder. Various styles of collar and neckline existed. The pattern suggested diverse ways of designing a jacket, such as cutting with partition, dart and pattern expansion that focused on three-dimensional effect at that time.

This study is aimed to provide a guide for PC use space in apartment. To achieve this, a design about PC use space which was considered adequate location, area, form was suggested. As methods of the study, survey research method and case study. The survey was taken by five hundred-eighty-nine people who used PCs in apartment from May 2005 to July 2005 in JeJu Special Self-governing Province for an analysis of data. The results of the survey were showed PC use space situation and furnitures layout patterns. The case was classified by unit plans of size, and it showed design example of PC use space. In types of $61{\sim}69$ square meters ($m^2$), PC use space was located in dead-space in the residence with minimum scale, because of $61{\sim}69$ square meters types are smaller than the other types. In types $100{\sim}129$ square meters, PC use space which was divided with a partition panel was located in the livingroom expanding the room space to the balcony. In types of 130 square meters, PC use space was located in the room of sons or daughters which was arranged with other furniture. The adequate area of PC use space is $1.4{\sim}2.2$ square meters, and it should take into account furniture size and human active sphere. And PC use space of form should consider traffic line, personal space and privacy. Besides it is required of ergonomic design in chair, table in its scale. And it is necessary development of systematic furniture for PC use space.

본 논문은 FDI를 종속변수가 아닌 설명변수로 삼아 FDI가 제도에 미치는 영향에 초점을 맞춘다. 제도를 Rodrik의 분류방법에 따라 시장조성제도, 시장규제제도, 시장안정화제도 및 시장복지제도 등 4종류로 분류하여 FDI가 제도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석한다. 1985~2009년 기간 동안 186개국가의 패널자료를 이용하여 후진국과 선진국으로 구분하여 제도결정방정식을 추정한다. 고정모형과 FDI의 내생성을 고려한 system GMM을 이용해서 FDI, FDI와 민주주의의 상호관계항이 4종류의 제도에 미치는 영향에 초점을 맞춘다. 추정결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대부분의 추정결과 FDI는 4종류의 제도에 유의한 양의 영향을 미치지 못하고 있다. 둘째, FDI와 민주주의의 상호관계항은 시장규제제도를 제외한 나머지 3개 종류의 제도에 유의한 양의 영향을 미치고 있다. 즉, FDI는 직접적으로 제도에 영향을 미치지 못하지만, 민주주의가 발달한 경우에 간접적으로 시장조성제도, 안정화제도와 시장복지제도에 영향을 미친다. FDI가 유치국의 제도에 직접적으로 영향을 미치지는 못하지만, 긍정적 영향을 미치기 위해서는 유치국가의 민주주의발달이 필요하다는 점을 알 수 있다.

본 연구는 전문가 집단의 델파이조사 결과를 바탕으로 산지이용구분제도와 관련된 문제점을 종합적으로 분석하여 산지이용구분제도의 개선방안을 모색하고자 수행하였다. 분석결과, 산지이용구분제도가 도입당시의 취지와는 달리 대표적인 규제수단으로 변질됨에 따라 산지이용구분제도의 폐지나 대체방안이 필요하며, 대체방안으로 산림기능구분제도 도입이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 산지이용구분제도가 산림기능구분제도로 대체되면 산지의 난(亂)개발이 우려되나 현행 환경영향평가제도의 난개발 방지효과가 미흡한 것으로 나타남에 따라 산지전용타당성평가제도의 도입이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 보전산지의 등록전환과 토지거래 목적의 소규모 필지분할은 산지이용구분제도와 관련된 편법 악용사례로써 엄격히 제한할 필요성이 있으며, 분산된 산지개발 및 허가업무를 산림부서로 일원화하고 장기적으로는 산지전용허가권한을 지자체에 위임하는 것이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.
