In this study, we investigated the effect of the generation of NOx and CO by adjusting the overfire air supply position and ratio using the boiler that was converted from coal burning to wood pellet boiler. When the amount of the overfire air is relatively increased, the amount of NOx is slightly decreased but CO is sharply decreased when burning at low excess air ratio (1.10) that is due to a small fuel particle size. However, NOx slightly increased when burning at high excess air ratio (1.33) due to the large fuel size, but CO was hardly affected. Also, When the amount of overfire air was same, The more supply position was concentrated to upper portion of the main combustor, the more NOx and CO was lowered. And in case of the excess air ratio was high, the generation of NOx and CO I can see that it keeps the level irrelevant to the amount of air for the second stage combustion.

This study was carried out to physicochemical properties and free CaO contents of coal ash in domestic circulating fludized bed combustion power plant using ethylene glycol method. Results of physicochemical properties, there are many differences in CaO contents for the region position in CFBC plant. The reason, It is considered to be reflected that regulation of exhaust concentration for oxides of sulfur and other operation characteristics of region position in CFBC plant. Free CaO contents are 1.96 ~ 10.78% of fly ash and 0.07~4.24 % of bottom ash, fly ash is higher than in the bottom ash. besides CaO contents of raw materials, particle distribution have a lot of influence Free CaO contents.
We used the GEANT4 Monte Carlo MC Toolkit to simulate carbon ion beams incident on water, tissue, and bone, taking into account nuclear fragmentation reactions. Upon increasing the energy of the primary beam, the position of the Bragg-Peak transfers to a location deeper inside the phantom. For different materials, the peak is located at a shallower depth along the beam direction and becomes sharper with increasing electron density NZ. Subsequently, the generated depth dose of the Bragg curve is then benchmarked with experimental data from GSI in Germany. The results exhibit a reasonable correlation with GSI experimental data with an accuracy of between 0.02 and 0.08 cm, thus establishing the basis to adopt MC in heavy-ion treatment planning. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov K-S test further ascertained from a statistical point of view that the simulation data matched the experimentally measured data very well. The two-dimensional isodose contours at the entrance were compared to those around the peak position and in the tail region beyond the peak, showing that bone produces more dose, in comparison to both water and tissue, due to secondary doses. In the water, the results show that the maximum energy deposited per fragment is mainly attributed to secondary carbon ions, followed by secondary boron and beryllium. Furthermore, the number of protons produced is the highest, thus making the maximum contribution to the total dose deposition in the tail region. Finally, the associated spectra of neutrons and photons were analyzed. The mean neutron energy value was found to be 16.29 MeV, and 1.03 MeV for the secondary gamma. However, the neutron dose was found to be negligible as compared to the total dose due to their longer range.

In this paper, we propose a new framework that calculates the user's hand motions using a Leap Motion device, and uses this to practice and analyze arm muscles as well as juggling motions. The proposed method can map the movement of the ball in a virtual environment according to the user's hand motions in real time, and analyze the amount of exercise by visualizing the relaxation and contraction of the muscles. The proposed framework consists of three main parts : 1) It tracks the user's hand position with the Leap Motion device. 2) As with juggling, the action pattern of the user throwing the ball is defined as an event. 3) We propose a parabola-based particle method to map the movement of a juggling shape to a ball based on the user's hand position. As a result, using the our framework, it is possible to play a juggling game in real-time.
The tillering potential of panicle number type (PNT) rice greatly varies with planting density. Moreover, grain filling and ripening differ depending on the panicle position, which may further affect rice grain quality. The present study evaluated the grain quality of PNT rice sparsely planted to reduce production costs. The physicochemical characteristics of starch from the grains of PNT type rice 'Ilpum' planted at different densities (37, 50, 60, and 80 plants/3.3 m2) and at different positions of panicles (upper or lower on the culm) were determined. Overall, as the planting density decreased, the number of panicles increased but the starch content decreased, which further reduced the 1,000-grain weight. In particular, at the lowest density (37 plants/3.3 m2), protein content increased but particle size, enthalpy, and relative crystallinity decreased. The effects were more pronounced at lower than at upper panicle positions. These findings indicate that tillering potential differs with planting density, ultimately affecting the palatability of rice grains. Based on these findings, we propose restricting rice transplantation to a planting density of ≤37 plants/3.3 m2 to achieve the best quality of grains at lower costs and with less labor.
For the purpose of possibility study on development of an acoustic tweezer using standing waves and very high frequency ultrasound focused beams, a system which can manipulate the position of particles in water has been constructed. It can move the particles to near focal point of a focused beam by the radiation force of standing waves, and then the particles would be trapped by the radiating force of the focused beam. The results show that micro sphere particles were trapped well at nodes of the standing waves and their position can be easily manipulated by frequency control. And, even though the radiation force by single focused beam pushes a particle away from the transducer, two focused confronted beams can trap it at near center.
The effect of internal and shroud nozzle distributor to bubbling fluidized beds which has the size of $0.3m-ID{\times}2.4m-high$ column was modeled by CPFD (Computational Particle-Fluid Dynamics). Metal-grade silicon particles (MG-Si) were used as bed materials which have $d_p=149{\mu}m$, ${\rho}_p=2,325kg/m^3$ and $U_{mf}=0.02m/s$. Total bed inventory and static bed height were 75 kg and 0.8 m, respectively. Effect of vertical internal on the bubble rising velocity was investigated. Bubbles were split by internal when the axial position of the internal from the distributor, z = 0.45 m. Bed pressure drop and axial solid holdup were not affected by internal. However, in the case that axial distance of internal from distributor was too close to jet penetration length, bubbles were not separated and bypassed internal, and faster than without internal or z = 0.45 m.
Background: Emerging reports suggest the potential for adverse health effects from exposure to emissions from some additive manufacturing (AM) processes. There is a paucity of real-world data on emissions from AM machines in industrial workplaces and personal exposures among AM operators. Methods: Airborne particle and organic chemical emissions and personal exposures were characterized using real-time and time-integrated sampling techniques in four manufacturing facilities using industrial-scale material extrusion and material jetting AM processes. Results: Using a condensation nuclei counter, number-based particle emission rates (ERs) (number/min) from material extrusion AM machines ranged from $4.1{\times}10^{10}$ (Ultem filament) to $2.2{\times}10^{11}$ [acrylonitrile butadiene styrene and polycarbonate filaments). For these same machines, total volatile organic compound ERs (${\mu}g/min$) ranged from $1.9{\times}10^4$ (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene and polycarbonate) to $9.4{\times}10^4$ (Ultem). For the material jetting machines, the number-based particle ER was higher when the lid was open ($2.3{\times}10^{10}number/min$) than when the lid was closed ($1.5-5.5{\times}10^9number/min$); total volatile organic compound ERs were similar regardless of the lid position. Low levels of acetone, benzene, toluene, and m,p-xylene were common to both AM processes. Carbonyl compounds were detected; however, none were specifically attributed to the AM processes. Personal exposures to metals (aluminum and iron) and eight volatile organic compounds were all below National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)-recommended exposure levels. Conclusion: Industrial-scale AM machines using thermoplastics and resins released particles and organic vapors into workplace air. More research is needed to understand factors influencing real-world industrial-scale AM process emissions and exposures.

Purpose: In this study, the effect of changes in the variables related to water droplets on the spray density on the floor in the analysis of the water mist fire protection system using FDS was analyzed. Method: When the spray of the water mist nozzle was analyzed in FDS, Particles Per Seconds, Particle Velocity, Size Distribution, and Spray Pattern Shape that can be set in relation to droplets were input to review the analyzed results. Result: In the analysis results, when the number of particles per second was set above a certain value, the spray density of the floor was similar. In the case of Particle Velocity, as the velocity decreases, the spray density of the central portion increases but decreases at a distance of 0.15m or more. From the analysis of the change in the size distribution function, it was found that an increase in the 𝛾 value increases the spray density of the central part, but the value at a remote location decreases. Compared to the result of applying the Gaussian distribution, the median value decreases dramatically when the uniform distribution is applied, but the value at the adjacent position increases. Conclusion: Variables related to the droplet properties of the FDS affect the spray density of the floor. Therefore, in order to increase the reliability of results before performing analyses such as fire suppression or cooling, a sufficient review of input variables is required.
In TFT-LCD manufacturing process, various defects are generated by manufacturing machine trouble or particle. These defects can be repaired through the TFT-Laser repair process that only can't be automated in TFT-LCD manufacturing Process. In this Paper, we propose auto defect algorithm for TFT-LCD laser repair machine using image processing algorithm in order to automate process. Proposed algorithm can detect very small defects (< 2um) in 98% success ratio, and generated laser repair path guarantee highly precise position accuracy. Through proposed system, much of the work still done the old-fashioned way, by hand, can be automated and manufacturing company can be strengthed the competitiveness of cost.
