5182 Al합금판의 전기저항 점용접부 피로거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Behavior of Resistance Spot Welded Part of 5182 Aluminum Aloy Sheet)

  • On this study, the variations of hardness and microstructure were observed at he spot-welded part of 5182 alminum alloy sheets with thickness of 1.2 mm. The hardness of spot-welded part of aluminum alloy indicated the lowest value at nugget center. Also, the position where fatigue crack exists was investigated by surveying microstructure of the spot-welded sections. Mean load-deformation diagrams were obtained from static tensile test. Fracture was occurred completely within 5 mm after transforming elastic into plastic area. Fatigue test was stopped when the specimens of fatigue test had the final displacement of 0.2mm and measured fatigue bending angle and crack length. This study utilized them, investigated the relations between fatigue bending angle and fatigue crack length and made a estimation of the fatigue fracture life of resistance spot welded part of 5182 aluminum alloy sheet. The relative equation o fatigue crack length and fatigue failure life can be represented by {TEX}$L_{C}${/TEX}=α{TEX}$N_{f}^ {β}${/TEX}.

굴삭기 Tank Cover 부품 뒤틀림 불량 저감에 대한 연구 (A study on reduction of springback defects in excavator tank cover part)

  • With the recent strengthening of environmental regulations and the need for cost reduction, excavators, a type of construction equipment, are being miniaturized while components are being developed in consideration of stability. In the case of excavator press parts, mainly high-strength steel sheets are being used to enhance stability and reduce weight. However, in the case of high-strength materials, there is a need to research product forming methods to reduce Springback in defects arising in parts assembly due to Springback that result from the internal residual stress that occurs in press forming being released after product forming. Accordingly, regarding the tank cover, an excavator press-forming part, this study selected a method to reduce distortion through analysis of the Springback occurrence rate and Springback causes through a forming analysis. A forming analysis was conducted for the Springback of the tank cover. Deformations of 13.714 mm in the upper part and 6.244 mm in the inner part of the product occurred, while wrinkles occurred on the sides of the product due to uneven thickness. A forming analysis was conducted for the major shapes of the product to investigate the causes of Springback. Distortion deformation due to the bead in the center of the product was confirmed to be a large factor. A Springback reduction method of correcting uneven thickness in the product sides, a Springback reduction method of removing the bead, and a correction method of restriking after the final forming were used in a forming analysis to determine the degree of Springback reduction. For the forming method to correct uneven thickness in the sides, deformation was reduced by 12% in the upper side compared to the existing model, but deformation in the inner side increased by 1%. For the restriking forming method, deformation decreased by 25% in the upper side and 13% in the inner side. For the bead removal method, deformation decreased by 28% in the upper side and 13% in the inner side, the largest Springback correction results. This indicates that the bead has a large affect on Springback.

동적 변형의 회전 성분을 효율적으로 추출하기 위한 실용적 방법 (A Practical Method for Efficient Extraction of the Rotational Part of Dynamic Deformation)

  • 본 논문에서는 시간에 따라 연속적으로 변하는 $3{\times}3$ 행렬의 회전 성분을 효율적으로 추출하는 실용적인 방법을 제안한다. 이는 물리기반 동적 변형을 위하여 널리 사용되는 공회전 유한 요소법이나 형상 맞춤 변형에서 매우 중요한 기술이다. 최근 극분해를 사용하는 시간 독립적인 기존 방법들과 달리 회전행렬 추출을 물리적으로 공식화한 후, 점진적 회전 표현법을 이용하는 반복법이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 점진적 회전 벡터의 최대 회전각을 ${\pi}/2$ 이내로 제한함으로써 반복 횟수를 줄이는 최적화 기법을 개발한다. 사실적인 동적 변형 시뮬레이션에서는 충분히 작은 시간 간격을 사용하기 때문에 이러한 제한은 실용적으로 문제가 되지 않는다. 다양한 실험을 통해 제안된 방법의 효율성 및 실용성을 보인다.

용접변형예측을 위한 용접부 수치 모델링 (Computational Modelling to Predict the Welding Deformation in Steel Structures)

  • 용접에 의해서 발생하는 변형은 강구조물의 치수를 변화시킬 뿐 아니라 역학적 강도를 저하시켜 강구조물의 제작공정과 공용중 심각한 문제를 발생시킬 수 있다. 특히 토목 강구조물의 경우 제작 및 조립공정에서 용접프로세스에 의해 불가피하게 발생하는 용접변형에 의한 설계치수의 변화를 검토하기 위해 넓은 장소에서 부분 또는 전체가 조립공정을 실시해야 한다. 이러한 가조립된 구조물은 현장에 설치되기 위해 해체하여 운반되어 현장에서 재조립하여 가설된다. 또한 높은 곳에서 작업해야 하므로 안전사고의 우려와 함께 크레인, 족장과 같은 부대장비를 사용해야 하므로 비경제적이다. 따라서 대형 강구조물의 제작시 발생하는 용접변형에 의한 부재오차를 검증하기 위한 가조립 공정을 생략하기 위해 용접변형 예측기법의 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 대형 강구조물의 용접변형 예측기법인 등가하중법을 이용한 용접부 수치모델링을 정립하고 이를 이용해 용접순서와 자중이 용접변형에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다.

금형변형을 고려한 성형 CAE에서의 스프링백 예측정확도 향상 (Improvement in Prediction Accuracy of Springback for Stamping CAE considering Tool Deformation)

  • An analysis procedure is proposed to improve the prediction accuracy of springback as well as to evaluate the structural stability of the tooling used for fabricating a side sill part from UHSS. The analysis couples the stamping analysis and the subsequent analysis of the tool structural. The deformation and stress results for the tool structure are obtained from the proposed analysis procedure. The results show that the amount of deformation and stresses are so high that the tool structure must be reinforced and the tooling design must consider structural stability. Springback is predicted with CAE in order to compare the prediction accuracy between the given tool geometry and the geometry from the structural analysis. The simulation results with the deformed tool can predict the experimental springback tendency accurately.

차량용 헬리컬기어의 침탄 열처리 변형해석 (Analysis of Deformation of Automotive Helical Gear in Heat Treatment of Carburized Quenching)

  • Heat treatment with carburized quenching process is widely used for automotive helical gear to improve its surface properties of hardness and strength. However, the gear can be deformed with the process over the allowable tolerance, which possibly makes noise, vibration and heat problems in operation. In this study, deformation of helical gear during heat treatment of carburized quenching was analyzed with a numerical method, incorporating coupled calculations of thermal conduction, carbon diffusion, phase transformation and thermal stresses. With the analysis, the effect of coolant temperature in quenching on the deformation was investigated. The result of the analysis revealed that the higher the coolant temperature became, the more change of helix angle and the more compressive stresses in the surface generated, because of delayed generation of martensite in the part.

  • Despite a number of advantages of reinforced earth walls over conventional concrete retaining walls, there exit concerns over long-term residual deformation when used as part of permanent structures. In view of these concerns, time-dependant deformation characteristics of geosynthetic reinforced modular block walls under sustained loads were investigated using reduced-scale model tests. The results indicated that a sustained load can yield appreciable magnitude of residual deformation, and that the magnitude of residual deformation depends on the loading characteristic as well as reinforcement stiffness.

  • The present work covers three-dimensional flow simulation and deformation analysis of injection molded plastic lenses using solid elements. A numerical scheme to evaluate part deformation has been proposed from the results of injection molding analysis. Proposed scheme has been applied to the injection molding processes of optical plastic lenses: a spherical lens and an aspheric lens for a photo pick-up device. Through the simulation processes. residual stress is estimated and the final deformed patters are obtained for both products. The reliability of the proposed approach has also been verified in comparison with the results of real experiments.

Measurement of Thermal Diffusivity Using Deformation Gradient and Phase in the Photothermal Displacement Technique

  • As technology advances with development of new materials, it is important to measure the thermal diffusivity of material and to predict the heat transfer in the solid subject to thermal processes. The measurement of thermal properties can be done in a non-contact way using photothermal displacement spectroscopy. In this work, the thermal diffusivity was measured by analyzing the magnitude and phase of deformation gradient. We proposed a new data analysis method based on the real part of deformation gradient as the pump-probe offset value. As the result, compared with the literature value, the measured thermal diffusivities of materials showed about 3 % error.

  • The subject of this thesis is the vibration response of framed structure for buildings of "damed beam" type. In steel rigid frame with damped beams, web plate in mid span of beams is perforated to form a rectangular opening, only upper and lower flanges being remained. When the frame is subjected to horizontal seismic forces, dominant shearing deformation takes place in the opening part of the beams. Energy absorber in stalled in the opening is driven by relative displacement caused by the shearing deformation and provide the frame with damping force. First, static deformation of portal frames having a beam with the web opening is discussed and formulas of elastic deformation is derived.s derived.
