In this paper, we present an algorithm for the detection of illegally parked vehicles based on a combination of some image processing algorithms. A digital camera is fixed in the illegal parking region to capture the video frames. An adaptive Gaussian mixture model (GMM) is used for background subtraction in a complex environment to identify the regions of moving objects in our test video. Stationary objects are detected by using the pixel-level features in time sequences. A stationary vehicle is detected by using the local features of the object, and thus, information about illegally parked vehicles is successfully obtained. An automatic alarm system can be utilized according to the different regulations of different illegal parking regions. The results of this study obtained using a test video sequence of a real-time traffic scene show that the proposed method is effective.

This study is to analyze the situation of residential area in Down Town and to research any factor of difficulty in developing residential area. First, we can summarize briefly in consequence of analyzing the residential environment classified with apartment and independent house in Down Town. 1) The apartment houses located in Down Town were constructed long ago on a small scale. The field investigation shows that parking lots are not enough and there are many spaces used inappropriately. 2) Each detached house was too old and built in narrow spaces. The irregular narrow lanes between houses also cause problems in walking and parking. And empty houses are found in that area. Second, the brief results of analyzing difficulties in developing the residential area in Down Town are as follows. 1) The land and buildings have difficulty in reconstruction because of the deterioration. 2) The economical efficiency is low though it is developed as a residential area. 3) There are some factors that they don't like to live in Down Town. 4) The law system is not enough to support the development of the residential area in Down Town

A fire sprinkler system is very important to extinguish fire in the building. The sprinkler system initiates sprinkler discharge if the detection system identifies a developing fire and opens the pre-action valve. However, pre-action fire sprinkler systems mainly installed in the underground parking lot at the apartment complex do not properly operate at fire if the connection type of fire sprinkler systems does not properly installed and operated. This study identified the relationship between fire dispersion & damage and the connection type of water supply in the sprinkler system from many fire cases at the apartment complex in South Korea. In addition, this study also identified the water supply differences and characteristics between South Korea and foreign countries. The main purpose of this study is also to improve the water connection types in the sprinkler system that can reduce the potential failures of pre-action valve operation through electrical signal system. The study also suggests the improvement plan for water connection types in pre-action fire sprinkler system that can minimize potential failure of pre-action fire sprinkler system. The suggestions for revising the fire safe standard in South Korea includes letting the water supply pipe of sprinkler system water inlet connect to the second side of pre-action valve and the water flow device that can minimize potential failure of sprinkler system.

탑뷰 기반 주자 지원 시스템 (Top-View Based Parking Assistance System)은 차량의 전자장치 기술과 영상 기반 제어 기술을 융합하여 운전자들의 판단 및 조작 실수로 인한 경제적 손실이나 운전자들의 주차에 대한 중압감을 해소한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 구현하기 위하여 차량의 전, 후 좌, 우 네 위치에 카메라를 장착하였고 각 카메라의 높이 초점 거리, 렌즈의 종류와 지면에 대한 각 등을 공식화하여 영강-지면 좌표 모델을 개발하였다. 이를 바탕으로 추출된 영상을 확대, 축소, 회전, 조합 등의 영상처리를 이용하여 차량의 위에서 내려다보는 것과 같은 영상을 생성하는 알고리즘을 제안하고 VC++을 이용하여 소프트웨어 어플리케이션으로 개발하였다.

퍼지제어룰은 일반적으로 시스템에 대한 전문오퍼레이터나 기술자가 갖고 있는 애매모호함을 포함하고 있는 제어지식을 시스템의 입 출력 분할에 의해 if-then이라는 언어적 룰로서 표현하는 것으로 전문오퍼레이터나 기술자의 제어지식 자체의 부정확과 룰의 불완전등으로 완전하게 표현한다는 것은 대단히 어렵다. 이러한 불완전한 룰의 정확도를 시스템 동작 후에도 연속적으로 높이기 위한 방법으로서 신경회로망에 의한 퍼지 추론과 학습을 제시한다. 이 방식은 시스템의 퍼지롤의 후건부를 층상신경회로망의 역전파(Back-propagation) 학습방법에 의한 정확도를 증진시키고, 전건부의 적합도를 연상기억방식에 의해 추론하는 방식으로서, 이 방식을 이용하여 한정된 구역 내에서 숙련된 기술과 지식이 필요한 차의 안전하고 신속한 정차를 위한 Auto-Parking Fuzzy Controller를 설계하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 타당성을 입증하였다.
