플래핑 운동을 적용한 자율무인잠수정(AUV)의 날개형상 및 운동 최적설계 (Optimization Design of Hydrofoil Shape and Flapping Motion in AUV(Autonomous Underwater Vehicle))

  • The motion of living organisms such as birds, fishes, and insects, has been analyzed for the purpose of the design of MAV(Micro Air Vehicle) and NAV(Nano Air Vehicle). In this research, natural motion was considered to be applied to the determination of the geometry and motion of AUV(Autonomous Underwater Vehicle). The flapping motion of a number of hydrofoil shapes in AUV was studied, and at the same time, the optimization of the hydrofoil shape and flapping motion was executed that allow the highest thrust and efficiency. The harmonic motion of plunging and pitching of NACA 4 digit series models, was used for the numerical analysis. The meta model was made by using the kriging method in Optimization method and the experimental points of 49 were extracted for the OA(Orthogonal array) in DOE(Design of experiments). Parametric study using this experimental points was conducted and the results were applied to MGA(Micro Genetic Algorithm). The flow simulation model was validated to be an appropriate tool by comparing with experimental data and the optimized shape and motion of AUV was turned out to produce highest thrust and efficiency.

SMOOTHING METHOD OF AUTO-BODY PART CONTOUR FOR THE DIE-FACE DESIGN SYSTEM BASED ON THE CAE PLATFORM

  • The method of die-face design based on the CAE platform for automobile panels can fast modify the die addendum. In contrast with the process of the die-face design based on the CAD platform, there are some special steps for the die-face design based on the CAE platform. The most obvious difference is that the auto-body part contour needs smoothing arlier than the design of addendum surfaces does. It is helpful to improve the design quality of addendum surface. In spite of extensive researches on the smoothing technique, here is still dearth of the published solutions about smoothing the part contour with additional surface. This paper attempts to analyze the difficulties and provides practical solutions. Main results include the algorithm to calculate the segments needing to be smoothed on boundary, the strategy to create the smoothing curve and the procedure of surface generation. The relevant function modules for parametric design are developed. A few examples and suggestions for future work conclude the paper.

QFT 를 이용한 유압 로드 시뮬레이터에 관한 힘 제어계 설계 (Design of Force Control System for a Hydraulic Road Simulator using QFT)

  • This paper presents the road simulator control technology for reproducing the road input signal to implement the real road data. The simulator consists of the hydraulic pump, servo valve, hydraulic actuator and its control equipment. The QFT is utilized to control the simulator effectively. The control system illustrates a tracking performance of the closed-loop controller with low order transfer function G(s) and pre-filter F(s) for a parametric uncertain model. A force controller is designed to communicate the control signal between simulator and digital controller. The efficacy of the QFT force controller is verified through the numerical simulation, in which combined dynamics and actuation of the hydraulic servo system are tested. The simulation results show that the proposed control technique works well under uncertain hydraulic plant system. The conventional software (Labview) is used to make up for the real controller in the real-time basis, and the experimental works show that the proposed algorithm works well for a single road simulator.

Tracking specification is satisfied with upper and lower bound tolerances on the steep response of the system to the reference signal. 국내 서남해안 풍황을 고려한 5MW급 수평축 풍력터빈 블레이드의 최적설계 (Blade Design Optimization for 5MW HAWT Considering Wind Environment on Domestic West-South Coast)

  • 본 연구에서는 5MW급 수평축 풍력터빈 블레이드에 대해 국내 서남해안의 풍속특성을 고려한 최적설계를 수행 하였다. 최적설계를 수행하기 위해 블레이드 해석은 Blade Element and Momentum Theory를 이용 하였으며, 설계 시 적용된 기저형상은 NREL에서 제안한 5MW급 풍력터빈 블레이드을 선정하였다. 최적설계를 수행하기 전 설계에 사용된 설계변수들이 풍속에 대해 어떠한 경향을 가지고 있는지 알아보기 위해 Parametric Study를 수행 하였으며, 최적설계는 다목적 최적화 유전 알고리즘인 NSGA-II를 이용하여 평균풍속이 낮은 서남해안의 연간에너지 생산량과 설비이용률을 최대화하였다. 최적화 결과들로부터 설계 조건에 맞는 최적해를 도출 할 수 있었으며, 이를 통해 기저형상의 연간에너지 생산량 및 설비이용률을 보다 향상 시킬 수 있었다.

Secured Authentication through Integration of Gait and Footprint for Human Identification

  • Gait Recognition is a new technique to identify the people by the way they walk. Human gait is a spatio-temporal phenomenon that typifies the motion characteristics of an individual. The proposed method makes a simple but efficient attempt to gait recognition. For each video file, spatial silhouettes of a walker are extracted by an improved background subtraction procedure using Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM). Here GMM is used as a parametric probability density function represented as a weighted sum of Gaussian component densities. Then, the relevant features are extracted from the silhouette tracked from the given video file using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method. The Fisher Linear Discriminant Analysis (FLDA) classifier is used in the classification of dimensional reduced image derived by the PCA method for gait recognition. Although gait images can be easily acquired, the gait recognition is affected by clothes, shoes, carrying status and specific physical condition of an individual. To overcome this problem, it is combined with footprint as a multimodal biometric system. The minutiae is extracted from the footprint and then fused with silhouette image using the Discrete Stationary Wavelet Transform (DSWT). The experimental result shows that the efficiency of proposed fusion algorithm works well and attains better result while comparing with other fusion schemes.

전자사진용 화상시스템의 화상개선 알고리즘 (Image Enhancement Algorithm in Imaging Systems for Electronic Photography)

  • 전자사진은 디지털 기술의 급속한 발전에 의하여 그 응용 범위가 확대되고있으나, 은염사진과 원리와 특성이 근본적으로 다르며 은염사진에 익숙한 사용자에게도 은염사진과 유사한 특성을 보이도록 화상의 개선과 화질의 보정 등이 요구된다. 본 논문은 은염사진의 계조 특성을 추출하여 전자화상시스템에 적용시켜 은염사진의 계조 특성을 지닌 전자화상을 출력하는 방법을 제시한다. 먼저, 은염사진과 전자사진의 화상 생성 공정을 구체적으로 비교하여 그 차이를 기술하고, 사진 계조 변환의 원리와 방법을 제시한다. 다음으로 사진 계조 변환함수를 구하기 위한 각 시스템의 특성화의 실험을 수행한 결과를 보인다. 최종적으로 이론을 바탕으로 한 실험에서는 사진 계조로 변환된 데이터를 디지털 화상시스템으로 출력하여 은염사진의 계조 특성의 비교분석을 수행한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 콤팩트한 동영상 표현과 객체기반의 generic한 동영상압축을 위한 파라미터릭 움직임 모델의 파라미터 추정과 세그맨테이션 기법에 관해서 기술한다. 동영상의 optical flow와 같은 국소적 움직임 정보와 파라미터 움직임 모델의 특징을 이용해서 영상의 콤팩트한 구조적 표현을 추출하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 2 스템의 과정 즉, 초기영역을 추출하는 과정과, 파라미터릭 움직임 파라미터의 추정과 세그맨테이션을 동시에 수행하는 과정으로 구성된 새로운 알고리즘을 제안한다. 혼합 모델이 ML 추정에 의거한 확률적 클러스터링에 의해 움직임 물체의 움직임과 형상을 반영한 초기영역을 추출하고, 파라미터릭 움직임 모델을 사용해서 각각의 초기 영역마다 움직임 파라미터를 추정하고 세그맨테이션을 수행한다. 또한, CIF 표준 동영상을 사용한 모의 실험을 통해 본 제안 알고리즘의 유효성을 평가한다.

관성센서를 이용한 스트랩다운 탐색기 훼손영상 복원기법 (Inertial Sensor Aided Motion Deblurring for Strapdown Image Seekers)

  • 본 논문에서는 스트랩다운 영상탐색기 개발을 위해 각속도계 정보를 이용한 실용적인 움직임 훼손영상 복원 필터링 기법을 제안한다. 각속도계 편향오차가 움직임 훼손을 기술하기 위한 점확산 함수 파라미터의 불확실성으로 작용한다는 점에 착안하여, 이를 놈 제한조건을 만족하는 파라미터 불확실성으로 가정한 후 움직임 훼손 영상을 불확정 선형 상태 공간 방정식으로 모델링한다. 각속도계 편향오차에 의한 파라미터 불확실성 행렬이 놈 제한 조건을 만족한다는 가정 하에, 순환 선형 강인 칼만필터에 기반한 움직임 훼손영상 복원필터가 설계된다. 실제 IR 영상을 이용하여 제안된 영상훼손 복원 필터가 각속도계 편향 오차가 존재하는 상황에서도 신뢰할만한 영상복원 성능을 제공함을 확인한다.

Deterministic and reliability-based design of necessary support pressures for tunnel faces

  • This paper provides methods for the deterministic and reliability-based design of the support pressures necessary to prevent tunnel face collapse. The deterministic method is developed by extending the use of the unique load multiplier, which is embedded within OptumG2/G3 with the intention of determining the maximum load that can be supported by a system. Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional examples are presented to illustrate the applications. The obtained solutions are validated according to those derived from the existing methods. The reliability-based method is developed by incorporating the Response Surface Method and the advanced first-order second-moment reliability method into the bisection algorithm, which continuously updates the support pressure within previously determined brackets until the difference between the computed reliability index and the user-defined value is less than a specified tolerance. Two-dimensional reliability-based support pressure is compared and validated via Monte Carlo simulations, whereas the three-dimensional solution is compared with the relationship between the support pressure and the resulting reliability index provided in the existing literature. Finally, a parametric study is carried out to investigate the influences of factors on the required support pressure.
