In this paper, we propose an approach which contains with constructing a bibliography information database, extracting the fields of research, and researching trend of them, using data mining. To apply our approach to IEICE Technical Report (nonlinear problem society), the database was constructed based on its report, keywords were analyzed using the frequency analysis and the association analysis, and we discussed about the result. We could extract some field of research from the result.

In recent years, it is strongly required to supply high quality electrical power without insulation failure in distribution power cables. Therefore the exact measurement and judgment ar out deterioration degree of cables are essential to increase that supplying reliability. This paper will introduce various diagnostic methods of off-line and live-line cables also propose the judgement criteria and newly trend of diagnostic technique at present.

This is a paper to understand the economic effects of the measurement standards by translog cost function. The data, as of the end of 1998, are from a survey of 514 firms in Korean industry. The analysis is compared to that of 1992 data analysis to check the trend. There are a little differences on the estimated coefficients, but there is no basic difference on trend of economic effects. The Investment on measurement standards have been contributed positively on the major managerial indicators such as productivity, profit, and so on.

This paper will review the state of the latest development of AMLCD manufacturing facilities for large Substrate and discuss the future technologies. The trend of the display size enlargement of Note book PC has hauled the enlargement of the mother glass substrate in past 10 years. The enlargement of a substrate size has brought about the productivity improvement of the TFT panel with process innovation as yet. Will this trend be continuing hereafter too? The issues of the processing and facilities related with the large square substrate and mask step reduction will be overviewed and the future processing and facilities will be discussed.

We present a brief survey concerning the relations between mean residual life and failure rate. Change points of mean residual life and failure rate are known to be different in general and we explore such situations in this paper. A few parametric models which show bathtub-shaped failure rate are examined in details, including the shape of its corresponding mean residual life function. We give some graphical comparisons of trend changes of mean residual life and failure rate for various choices of parameters for each parametric model.

This paper presents a ship navigation system and automated equipments on ship board, whose technology has been quite rapidly developing in recent years. The ship owners and builders are much interested in ship automation systems, due to their comfort, safety and lower life cycle cost in ship operation. Here the basic technology and structure of the system are described, also taken into account is the future trend on the development of the system.

High voltage motors are the core equipment of electric generation facilities and need to guarantee stable operation. Therefore, keeping healthy state is of importance by means of insulation diagnosis periodically. However, if the diagnosis went through in the different circumstances such as temperature, humidity, and impedance applied to the test equipment, the trend analysis have no significance. This paper presents the experimental results supporting the importance of keeping the same conditions under insulation diagnosis.

This paper shows that various fractionally integrated univariate and multivariate are remarkably successful in representing annual temperature series and also very long series of tree ring widths, which are often used as a proxy for temperature. The analysis also suggests that human recorded temperature series are not inconsistent with being generated by a stationary, long memory process. From the empirical results, we should be noted that the statistically significant positive trend coefficients may well be due to small sample sizes. These results cast some doubt on the basic assumption that global warming is definitely occurring.
