마늘 추출액과 솔잎 가루를 이용한 크라프트지의 쌀벌레 방제 효과 (Extermination of Rice Weevils of Kraft Paper Containing Garlic Extractives and Pine Leaf Powder)

  • This study developed rice packaging paper with exterminating performance against rice weevils such as Tenebroides mauritanicus and Sitophilus oryzae. The exterminating performance of packaging paper was given by treatment of garlic extractives and pine-leaf powder, respectively. For the exterminating test, rice weevils were put in petri dish containing non-treated packaging paper and functional packaging paper for twenty days. Right after being put in the petri dish, the rice weevils moved fast toward the area in the non-treated paper escaping from that in the functional paper. The lethality of the rice weevils on the functional paper reached over 50 per cent. The physical properties of the functional packaging paper were rarely changed in spite of treatment of the exterminating agents.

바이오매스 기반 종이 플라스틱의 제조 및 응용에 대한 고찰 (A Study on Manufacturing of Paper Plastics Based on Biomass and Their Applications)

  • Recently, applications of biomass-based plastics have increased according to the eco-friendly policy of the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in domestic and foreign government. In this study, a paper plastic composite was produced by compounding polypropylene and micronized paper powder that was prepared using dry pulverization technology. Subsequently, the specimen of paper plastic was verified with mechanical properties, formability and product safety test to confirm the suitable packaging materials for food packaging. Paper plastics showed slightly lower mechanical properties than currently commercialized PP composites. However, paper plastics are valuable materials as environmentally friendly carbon-reducing material because of high biocarbon content, light weight features and applicability of existing manufacturing machines or system.

한국 패키징 산업 현황 (Outline of Korean Packaging Industry)

  • This paper describes an overview of the packaging industry in Korea. Packaging plays an important role to connect the dot between primary and secondary industry. Moreover, it performs the visual merchandising of product, resulting in synergetic effect with quality of merchandise. As more convergence of primary and secondary industry accelerates, packaging industry became more competitive as well as critical area. Korea Packaging Center (KOPACK) in Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) has conducted the national market survey of packaging industry since 2010, biannually. Firstly, Korea packaging industry was categorized. For defining the Korea packaging industry, Korea Standard Industry Code (KSIC) is used to divide the group into wood, paper, plastic, glass, metal and packaging machinery. Based on these categories, the market size was estimated with survey of 2,180 packaging companies. In this study, the results of this survey are summarized, and the key trends of each category are described.

  • 본 연구에서는 새로운 패키징 기술 개발 방향을 정하기 위해서 먼저 미래사회로 가는 메가트렌들가 무엇이며 이들이 어떤 새로운 패키징기술을 요구할 것인가를 분석 예측하였다. 미래사회로 가는 주요 메가트렌드는 인구통계학적 트랜드, 사회학적 트렌드, 소비자들 트렌드, 패키징 주변과학기술의 발전 트렌드 및 정부의 정책 및 법규의 트렌드를 분석하였고 이들 트렌드가 요구하는 미래의 새로운 포장기술로는 Active/Passive 패키징기술, Intelligent Communication 패키징기술, Nanotechnology 패키징 기술, Universal Convenience 패키징 기술, Environmental Friendly 패키징기술과 Package Design기술로 예측되었다.
