Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis with Natural Language

  • This paper mentions a fault tree analysis using not probability but natural language and fuzzy theory, Reliability estimate of each basic event and dependence level estimate among subsystems are expressed by linguistic terms. Analysis results are also expressed by natural language. The meaning of linguistic terms is expressed by a fuzzy set. In the presented analysis approach parametrized operations of fuzzy sets are considered so that analyst's subjectivity can be introduced into the analysis. This paper gives the Chernobyl accident as an example of the fuzzy fault tree analysis using linguistic terms.

  • The robot systems used in nuclear power plants need to be both reliable and safe. As a part of the "Validation of nuclear safety-grade equipment" project, we established reliability analysis program and performed a number of analysis using conventional reliability analysis techniques.   • With the development of the auto industry, the automobile manufacturers demand to shorten development period and reduce the cost. Compared with the traditional method, applying the virtual prototype is more economical. This paper presents a method for parameters sensitivity analysis and optimizing the performance of vehicle noise and vibration. The existing design processes were repeatedly analyzed with a focus on vehicle performance to decide the design parameters of dimension, thickness, mounting type of body and chassis systems in the vehicle development period. This paper describes the prediction technique of vehicle performance using L18 orthogonal array layout, quality deviation analysis and parameter sensitivity analysis for robust design. This paper analyzed the performance correlation equation through the frequency and sensitivity database according to a design factor change. The new concept is that the performance prediction is possible without repeated activities of test and analysis. This paper described the parameter analysis applications such as bush dynamic stiffness and bush void direction of rear suspension. Design engineer could efficiently decide the design variable using parameter analysis database in early design stage. These improvements can reduce man hour and test development period as well as to achieve stable NVH performance.

  • The aim of this study is to identify research trends of "Journal of Fashion Business" by analyzing the keyword network of the paper published between 2006 and 2017. The papers selected for analysis in the study were 287 fashion design articles and 281 fashion marketing articles published between February 2006 and December 2017 and titles, volumes, publishing years, authors, keywords, and abstracts of each paper were collected for data analysis. The research was carried out through selection, collection of article data, keyword extraction and coding, keywords refinement, formation of network matrix, and analysis and visualization process. First, based on the title of the paper used in the analysis, the fashion design/aesthetics, marketing/social psychology, clothing materials, clothing composition, and other fields were classified. Research analysis used the Netminer 4 (Ver.4.3.2) program. Results indicated showed that the intellectual structure of the "Fashion Business" research paper showed key word changes over time, and the degree centrality and between centrality of the keywords.

  • 현재 노인 문제가 심각한 수준에 이르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 노인의 재활과 운동 문제를 ICT와 헬스케어 관점에서 해결하고자 하는 노력의 일환으로 이 분야에 대한 세계 연구자들의 노력을 키워드를 기반으로 하여 그래프 기반의 계량 정보 분석 수행한다. 이를 위해 먼저 키워드 연계관계 분석을 수행하고 이를 기반으로 네트워크의 차수 분포 분석한 후 매개 중심성, 근접 중심성, 조화 중심성을 기반으로 한 네트워크의 중심성 분석을 수행한다. 이를 통하여 ICT와 헬스케어 분야에서의 핵심 키워드를 통한 지금까지의 연구 동향과 미래의 연구 진행 방향을 알아본다.

  • The life of power transformer is basically dependent on the aging deterioration of insulating paper. Analysis of insulating paper for its DP value or tensile strength requires removal of a few strips of paper but direct measurement of this properties is not practical for in-service transformers. For this reason furfural analysis by HPLC has gained increasing favor as a means of estimating degradation of insulating papers in power transformers and this paper reports on the analysis of data on the concentration of furfural in oil samples from about 50 power transformers and the case study. The data showed that furfural content can estimate more accurately aging characteristics compared to concentration of CO, $CO_2$. We expect that these results can be useful to predict the aging characteristics and life diagnosis of power transformers and further the study must be continued.

  • In the calendar and the advertising catalog, the surface Is usually coated by coating polypropylene film. The delamination failure of coating film depends on surface roughness and quality of the substrate paper. In this paper, the mechanisms of delamination failure between the coating film and the paper is investigated by using the root cause analysis as one of techniques of reliability evaluation. The papers used in failure analysis are three kind products made by two domestic and one foreign companies. It found that the main causes of delamination failure between the coating film and the paper were the creation of microvoids caused by shape of filler and their growth caused by contraction of paper.

닥나무 박피 자동화를 위한 닥 인피의 구성성분 분석 (Component Analysis of Paper Mulberry Bark for the Automation of Bark Peeling Process)

  • The bast fiber of Paper mulberry has been generally used as a fibrous raw material in traditional Hanji-making. Nowadays, its uses is expanded to different special purposes such as paper mulberry yarn, laminated paper, antimicrobial paper depending on its application. Despite the wide array of the use of mulberry fibers, it is still limited due to some difficulties in the automation process of manufacturing works. This study is focused on the analysis of chemical components and morphological properties of paper mulberry bark for the automation of bark peeling process. The bast tissue of paper mulberry was separated in three plies; black outer layer, green inner layer, and white inner layer. The total lignin content, holocelluloses, extractives and ashes, and the anatomical structure of the three layers in mulberry bark tissue were investigated. The analysis showed that the black outer layer is composed of about 50% of total lignin content, whereas the white inner layer is composed of about 90% of holocellulose content.

  • This paper is a study on the Endpoint Detection for Korean Speech Recognition. In speech signal process, analysis parameter was classification from Zero Crossing Rate(Z.C.R), Log Energy(L.E), Energy in the predictive error(Ep) and fundamental Korean Speech digits, /영/-/구/ are selected as date for the Recognition of Speech. The main goal of this paper is to develop techniques and system for Speech input ot machine. In order to detect the Endpoint, this paper makes choice of Log Energy(L.E) from various parameters analysis, and the Log Energy is very effective parameter in classifying speech and nonspeech segments. The error rate of 1.43% result from the analysis.

  • This paper presents the design scheme of transformer for backlight inverter and discuss the characteristics related to its design, including driving inverter. A few studies have so far been made at design and characteristics analysis of transformer. Therefore, this paper manages the presentation of the advisable design methodology of transformer for backlight inverter supplying CCFL. To verify the proposed method, this paper accomplishes the analysis by FEM coupled with circuit and finally shows that the proposed design method is very useful.
