  • Virtual Reality technology is divided two parts Panorama technology to imbody VR on space and Object technology to embody VR of things. About Object VR technology until present, they provided a cube access way, then observer can see object up, down, left, right side and zoom-in, zoom-out, but there is a fact that up-and-down expression is distorted or shows shortcoming that is not expressed by limited situation of manufacture way in Panorama VR's expression. Therefore, in this research, we examine the shortcoming that do not become top-and-bottom expression through basic concept of Panorama and Panorama VR manufacture process and do to propose cube type of new data format that permit up-and-down expression as a real world and compose Panorama VR space.

  • In this paper, automatic shot panorama construction method is presented. For construction of panorama image, conventional panoramic techniques manually took two panorama members, but the proposed method automatically takes panorama members according to moving camera and constructs panorama image. The panorama members are automatically selected and taken by tracking region over image stream form camera. Matching region for panorama including the tracking region in the members is selected and applied by invariant feature panoramic method. Our method can automatically shot panorama members and has merit of high processing speed. In the experiments, it was shown that the algorithm required about 0.89 second in processing time, about two times shorter than existing invariant feature based one(6), for color images of $320{\times}240$ size.

  • Recently many areas require wide field of view images. Such as surveillance, virtual reality, navigation and 3D scene reconstruction. Conventional camera systems have a limited filed of view and provide partial information about the scene. however, omni directional vision system can overcome these disadvantages. Acquiring 360 degree panorama images requires expensive omni camera lens. In this study, 360 degree panorama image was tested using a low cost optical reflector which captures 360 degree panoramic views with single shot. This 360 degree panorama image system can be used with detailed positional information from GPS/INS. Through this study result, we show 360 degree panorama image is very effective tool for mobile monitoring system.

  • In this paper, we propose a method for generating a realistic object panorama by considering geometric transformations of camera views in a general photographing environment. In the proposed method, we first model a trumpet-shape panorama space based on geometric transformations of camera, such as vertical rotation and horizontal rotation movement around a target model. We then generate an object panorama by mapping model images to the trumpet-shape panorama space. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, experiments were conducted on a large size model, which is quite difficult for us to generate the object panorama without special equipments in general. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively generate an object panorama, which is usually generated in a special photographing environment, regardless of the size of target model.

  • This thesis intends to analyze tooth distortion by mandibular arch form by reproducing existing panorama image and reconstructed panorama image of Cone Beam CT data with the three-dimensional computer program. The diameter of tooth measured in Cone Beam CT's cross-section image and reconstructed panorama was synchronized without any big change from incisors to posteriors. But, panorama showed serious distortion as going to posteriors after showing a little distortion in incisors. The panorama reconstructed for patients' individual arch showed reduced distortion than panoramas used generally. In addition, panorama showed serious distortion from incisors to posteriors and it means that distortion is reduced in reconstructed panorama.

  • Panorama of dental radiation generators can observe the wide anatomical structures of oral and maxillofacial areas but there can be distortion of lengths, angles, or shapes. CBCT can diagnose 3D images and get the ones whose errors by superposition and interference are remarkably smaller between anatomical structures. But the quality of the images by movement of subjects can be lowered as it takes long to diagnose them. And if there are impermeable radiation objects like metal in mouths, impermeable radiation lines can radially appear with the objects as center. This study tries to analyze accuracy of panorama and CBCT and get useful anatomical information in dental treatment by comparing the length of wisdom teeth which were measured by Panorama and CBCT with the teeth which were actually extracted and analyzing distortion of the teeth. The test result could be found that Panorama is expanded by average 7.3% as the errors of Panorama and Digital Vernier Caliper range from 110.7% to 103.9%. The length of wisdom teeth which were measured in CBCT and Digital Vernier Caliper could be found that the error range is 1.3%. And the length of wisdom teeth which were measured in Panorama and Digital Vernier Caliper has found that the error range shows 7.3%. So it could be found that the images of CBCT is about 6% more exact than those of Panorama. It could be found that CBCT shows the more exact images than those of Panorama. But because the examination expenses of CBCT are higher than those of Panorama and exposure dose of CBCT is much more than that of Panorama, it is thought to find proper ways in examination.

  • In this paper, we propose a deep learning framework for predicting a depth map of a 360° panorama image. Previous works use synthetic 360° panorama datasets to train networks due to the lack of realistic datasets. However, the synthetic nature of the datasets induces features extracted by the networks to differ from those of real 360° panorama images, which inevitably leads previous methods to fail in depth prediction of real 360° panorama images. To address this gap, we use domain adaptation to learn features shared by real and synthetic panorama images. Experimental results show that our approach can greatly improve the accuracy of depth estimation on real panorama images while achieving the state-of-the-art performance on synthetic images.

  • The 360 degree panoramas are picture of a wide range of images on one screen, so we can see a fairly wide range at a time. In particular, cylinderical panoramas are the most widely used spherical image, and its left and right viewing angles reach 360 degree, so you can observe front, rear, left, and right at once. Using 360 degree panorama, all directions can be monitored at the same time, so all directions can be effectively monitored compared to other methods. In this paper, we develop a system to recognize and track the movement of moving objects on a 360 degree panorama, and then present and verify the experimental results. For this goals, first, we developed a system to recognize moving objects in 360 degree panorama using DoF(Difference of Frame) algorithm. Second, based on the TLD algorithm, we developed an application that can track a specific single moving object in a 360 degree panorama and presented the experimental results.
