하이힐이 허리 근육 피로에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

  • 연세대학교 영동세브란스 병원에서 94년 요통환자 2천4백10명을 직업별로 분류한 결과, 주부가 56%, 학생이 13.4%를 차지했다고 발표했다. 특히 주부환자비율은 85-90년에 38.9%로 조사된 것에 비하면 주목할만한 증가세를 보였다. 이러한 주부요통증가의 원인 중 임상적으로 이미 확인된 것이 하이힐에 의한 것이다. 하이힐을 신을 경우 허리에 부담을 주고 요통을 유발할 수 있다는 것이다. 그러나, 이러한 임상적 가설에 대한 구체적인 연구나 검증이 이루어진 바 없어 하이힐이 허리에 어떤 영향을 주는지에 대해 확인할 수 없었다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 하이힐이 허리에 미치는 영향에 대한 임상적 가설을 검증하고 영향 정도에 대한 구체적 수치를 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 5명의 신체 건강한 20대 초반의 여성들이 모집되었고, 하이힐의 굽높이를 독립변수로, 허리 근육 피로도를 종속 변수로 설정하여 하이힐의 굽높이가 허리 근육에 미치는 영향에 대해 조사하였다. 허리 근육 피로도는 Spectral EMG를 통해 분석하였고 정량화되었다. 측정된 자료를 통계 분석한 결과, 하이힐의 굽높이가 여성의 허리 근육에 유의하게 영향을 미침이 발견되었고, 우리 나라 여성에게 적합한 하이힐의 굽높이는 3-5cm 정도임이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구 결과는 하이힐의 디자인에 있어서 굽높이에 대한 추천치로 제안될 수 있으며 여성들의 하이힐로 인한 요통을 어느 정도 예방할 수 있어 여성 근로 손실을 줄이는 데 기여할 수 있다. 본 연구를 하이힐 굽형태나 충격흡수 등의 독립변수 요인을 추가하여 확대하면 하이힐 디자인에 응용하는데 더욱 유용하리라 생각된다. 없었다. 전신쾌적감은 약간 쾌적하게 나타났고 전신온냉감은 약간 따뜻하다라고 나타났으며 손가락끝의 동통감은 약간 아프다고쪽으로 나타났다.때문에 이를 디자인에 곧바로 적용시키기 어려운 점이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 기존의 바용성 평가를 위한 분석도구들이 갖는 문제 점들 해결하여 제품의 사용자 인터페이스 디자인 개발과정에서 활용할 수 있는 평가 분석도구를 개발하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 다양한 유형의 정보를 포함하는 비디오 정보를 선정하였따. 둘째, 데이터를 다양한 측면에서 추출할 수 있는 Data logger를 개발하였다. 셋째, 데이터를 시각적으로 정리하고 분석할 수 있는 도구를 제안한다. 마지막으로 인터페이스 디자인에서 여러 가지 디자인안을 도출해 내는 작업에 이용할 수 있는 종합화과정을 개발한다. 이러한 일련의 과정이 통합된 컴퓨터 시스템 안에서 이루어지도록 프로그램을 개발하여 정보의 유용성을 높일 수 있도록 한다.at the entropy index as a measurement of inter-business relatedness is not significant but technological relatedness index is significant. An Analysis of the Effects of Unions on Wages for Female Workers (우리나라 노동조합이 여성근로자의 임금에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzed the effects of labor unions on the wages of Korean female workers using 'Korean Labor and Income Panel Study.' In the estimation we considered the self-selection bias due to the women's labor force participation decision and a plausible non-response bias from not answering the question about the company size in terms of number of employees. By fixed effect estimation we found that labor unions in Korea do not increase the wages of both the female union workers and non-union workers who work at a company in which a union is organized comparing to female workers who work at company without a union. This results indicates that female workers who work in the company with labor union tend to have unobserved characteristics that are positively correlated with both wages and the probability to enter the company with labor union. We also came to the conclusion that there is no free-rider effects of non-union workers.

  • This study is to analyze the effects of changing pattern of climate vaariables on total factor productivity of Korea manufacture industry. Changes in temperature, rainfalls and humidity which are the representative climate variables are used as main factors. Not only average values of the variables but those highest values are used as independent variables in the model, in order to consider the characteristic pattern of recent climate change, the high volatilities. The OLS results are unlike to previous literature that temperature and humidity had no significant impact on manufacturing productivity. An increase in the amount of precipitation was analyzed that impact negatively impacted. The analysis of panel data showed that temperatures and precipitation all that does not significantly affect the manufacturing. While the increase of the average humidity is shown to increase the total productivity of manufacture industry. In Korea, adaptation capability is important in determining the effects of climate change on productivity of manufacture industry.

Determinants of Operational Self-Sustainability of Microfinance Institutions in Vietnam

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the determinants of the Operational Self-Sustainability (OSS) of Vietnamese microfinance institutions (MFIs). This research uses both qualitative and quantitative research methods: (i) qualitative research was via in-depth interviews with ten microfinance practitioners, policymakers and researchers; (ii) quantitative research was conducted by using panel data of 34 MFIs in the period 2011-2015 with binary logistics and OLS regressions. Results are as follows: (i) MFIs' OSS in Vietnam are mainly determined by five key factors: portfolio at risk (PAR>30), capital structure, gross loan portfolio, scope of activities and legal form; (ii) OSS are most affected by legal status (social organizations have better OSS than formal MFIs or programs/projects), location (MFIs focus in one province have higher OSS than working nationwide or just in one district), capital structure (MFIs with more equity proportion have higher OSS); (iii) surprisingly, average loan size per borrower and age of MFIs do not have statistically significant correlation with OSS. The key recommendations are: (i) MFIs should focus on its professionality and increase its equity; (ii) related stakeholders such as State Bank of Vietnam should promote the enabling ecosystem for microfinance development to enhance poverty reduction and economic development.

The effect of public housing on depression (공공임대주택거주가 우울에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study is to identify the influence of public housing on depression of its residents by analyzing the 7th Korea welfare panel study. To reduce the selection bias which arise from the public housing is selected by personal choice, we used PSM(propensity score matching). In addition, we merged the result of PSM and OLS regression to control the other variables which can affect depression of the resident of public housing. Final result revealed that the statistical significance which was observed when we compared the level of depression between the residents of public housing and general community by independent t-test was not observed when we used the merged result from PSM and regression. These results suggest that the high level of depression in the residents of public housing might be related with their demographic characteristics or earned income not with the public housing itself. This study can be the evidence supporting the policy of providing public housing because living in public housing did not give negative influence on its residents. Considering that this study also showed that there were no observable positive influences of public housing, we can suggest that public housing policy for majority of people not limited to people with low income.

  • Background: For efficient management of an organization's human resource, it is crucial to increase the job satisfaction of women managers, since it is closely related to an individual's job performance and company's one. In this regard, this research explores how women managers' job stress and managerial efficacy affect their job satisfaction. Methods: This research uses the fifth wave of Korean Women Manager Panel (KWMP) collected in 2015. The 1,537 women managers who work at a company with 100 or more employees are employed and the data are analyzed using ordinary least squares (OLS). Results: Income, job stress, and managerial efficacy have a statistically significant effect on job satisfaction. In addition, managerial efficacy has a moderating effect between job-related stress and job satisfaction. Conclusions: This study suggests the meaningful findings that in terms of boosting women manager's job satisfaction, it is requested to promote their managerial efficacy at the human resource management level.

  • Purposes: This study purposed to identify influence of postpartum care services on health-related quality of life in women after birth. Methodology: Korea Health Panel Survey 2009-2015 provided by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs and National Health Insurance Service was used for the analysis. The health-related quality of life evaluate as a EuroQoL-5D(EQ-5D-3L, used the weight of the CDC) was used as dependent variables. Postpartum care services was used as independent variable. Demographic factors(education, economic activity, region, house income), health related variable(presence of chronic disease, self-rated health), birth related variable(birth-related problem, childbirth, pregnancy of advanced maternal age) used as covariates. Regression analysis was used. Findings: The rate of use of postpartum care services is increasing year by year. Postpartum care services and self-rated health positively influence on the health-related quality of life in women after birth and chronic disease and birth-related problem negatively influence on. Practical Implications: Therefore, it is necessary that the government's policy of the postpartum care service be expanded and systematized to increase accessibility on. There are rare studies on the health-related quality of life of women after childbirth, adjusted for birth-related variables. So this study has significance.

Analysis of the Effects of Investment Facilitation Levels on China's OFDI: Focusing on RCEP Member States

  • Purpose - purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects of the investment facilitation levels of 11 RCEP countries (excluding Myanmar, Brunei, and Laos due to lack of data) on China's outward foreign direct investments(OFDI) using balanced panel data from 2010 to 2019. Design/methodology - First, four investment facilitation measurement indicators (regulatory environment, infrastructure, financial market, ease of doing business) were selected,investment facilitation scores of the 11 countries were obtained using the principal component analysis, an investment gravity model was established with nine explanatory variables (investment facilitation level, market size, population, geographic distance, degree of opening, tax level, natural resources, whether the country is an APEC member or not, and whether a valid bilateral investment treaty with China has been concluded) were used to establish an investment gravity model, and regression analyses were conducted with OLS and system GMM. Findings - The results of the regression analyses showed that investment facilitation levels had the greatest effect on China's OFDI, all four first-level indicators had positive effects on China's OFDI, and among them, the institutional environment had the greatest effect. In addition, it was shown that explanatory variables such as market size, population, geographical distance, degree of openness, natural resources, and whether or not a valid bilateral investment treaty has been concluded would have positive effects on China's OFDI, while tax levels and APEC membership would impede China's OFDI to some extent. Originality/value - Since the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEPT) came into effect not long ago, there are not so many studies on the effects of investment facilitation levels of RCEP member states on China's OFDI, and the investment facilitation measurement index constructed in this paper is relatively systematic and scientific because it includes all the contents of investment facilitation related to the life cycle of company's foreign direct investments.

The Characteristics of ESG and Effect on Corporate Value of Chinese Firms (중국 기업의 ESG의 특징과 기업가치에 대한 영향)

  • Purpose - Since the 2020s, the management philosophy of Chinese firms' ESG has been rapidly established under the leadership of the Chinese government. We empirically analyze the ESG characteristics and effects on corporate value of Chinese firms. Design/methodology/approach - Using OLS and random effect panel regression analysis, we identify ESG determinants. In analyzing the impact on corporate value, likewise a large number of literatures, we adopt a 2SLS methodology using instrumental variables in the reason of endogeneity between ESG and firm value. We analyze using the G2SLS methodology, which is improving the efficiency of the estimation coefficients along with 2SLS. Findings - We find that ESG ratings are high in state-owned and foreign capital invested companies, ESG ratings are low in companies with a high proportion of non-floating stocks which implies information asymmetry. However, there are no significance in the institutional investor's, the major 10 largest shareholders' and manager's ownership. Furthermore, we can support most of the hypotheses that ESG ratings will be high in companies with high management performance. ESG ratings are significantly higher in companies with high ROA, rich in cash asset, low debt ratio, and large size. we strongly support the hypothesis that the higher the ESG rating, the higher the firm value, and ESG has a moderating effect on state-owned companies, non-floating shares, the ownership of institutional investors, manager, and the 10 major shareholder. In particular, state-owned companies, the proportion of non-floating shares, and the ownership of the 10 major shareholders have a negative impact on firm value, however, ESG attenuates this negative effect. Research implications or Originality - This study looks forward to enhancing our understanding of ESG characteristics in East Asia.

산업안전관리자의 안전의식 연구

  • 우리 나라는 한해에 안전사고로 인해 12만 .+-. 2만명정도의 재해자를 발생시키고 있으며, 재해의 천국이라는 오명까지 얻게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 우리나라의 산업안전관리자의 안전의식을 분석함으로써 재해발생의 감소에 일조를 하고자 함을 본 연구의 목적으로 한다. 연구기간은 1997년 3월에서 8월까지며, 총 200여명의 강원지역의 산업안전관리자들을 대상 으로 설문조사하여, 그중 불성실하게 답한 것을 제외한 183명의 관리자들의 응답결과를 토 대로 통계분석을 실시하였다. 연구내용은 안전의식에 대한 설문조사를 통하여 그들의 근무 조건과 안전에 대한 지식정도, 현 직장에의 만족과 불만족요인과 자주 쓰는 재해통해방법들을 조사하여 우리나라의 안전관리자들의 현 상황을 유추해 보고자 시도하였다. 분석결과 183명 중 여성은 불과 3명뿐이며, 83%가 기혼이며, 대졸은 전체의 25.1%이며, 59.6%가 고졸이며 , 전문대졸은 15.2%나 되었다. 전담 안전관리자는 전체의 8%에 불과했으며, 대부분 겸임을 하고 있었다. 놀라운 것은 안전관리자들의 92.6%가 안전관리자격증이 없었으며, 2급이 4.7% 에 불과했다. 과거에 부상을 당한 경험이 있는 안전관리자는 전체의 26.3%에 달해 회사가 부상을 당한 근로자를 안전부서로 발령한다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다. 다친 원인의 50%가 시설물 결함으로 나타나 작업환경개선이 시급함을 알 수가 있었다. 우리나라도 선진국과 같은 교욱담당의 NIOSH와 제재담당의 OSHA와 같은 기관의 설립이 보다 효율적이고 근본적인 안전 관리의 문제해결책이라고 사료된다. 열악한 중소기업에 나라에서 안전교육을 담당해 주는 대신 기업은 근로자들에게 보다 안전한 환경을 제공해야 된다는 것이 이러한 기관설립의 목적이라고 하겠다. 더 나아가 이를 총괄하는 안전관리청의 신설이 보다 근본적인 문제해결을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.의 결과는 자전거 에르고노미터의 결과가 트레드밀의 결과에 87.60%정도 나타났다.음을 관찰하였다. 특히 vitamin C와 E의 병용투여는 상승적으로 적용하여 간세포손상을 더욱 억제시킴을 알 수 있었다.mance and on TFP(Total Factor Productivity) growth which is a pure measure of firm performance.
