PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to compare the lane curing time of natural drying and a lane drying device when painting lines on a highway. METHODS : The painting process was carried out in July 2015 and September 2015, respectively, for the Gimcheon IC - Gimcheon JC. After the painting, measurements were obtained three times at six measurement points located at 20 m intervals on the shoulder line and the dividing line. The curing time was measured for natural drying and drying using a lane drying device, and compared for different pavement types (asphalt, concrete) and paint types (waterborne paint, methyl methacrylate paint). RESULTS : The results of the lane curing time comparison on the highway are as follows. The combination of asphalt and methyl methacrylate paint cured more rapidly during both the natural drying and drying using the lane drying device. Finally, it was cured at least 32.2% and 40.7% faster when using a drying device than in natural drying. CONCLUSIONS : The comparison of lane curing time of the highway showed that the combination of asphalt and methyl methacrylate paint cured more rapidly when using both natural drying and a lane drying device.

We present a novel watercolor painting drawing system which can work even on low powered computing machine such as tablet PC. Most digital watercolor systems are generated to perform on desktop, not low powered mobile computing system such as iPad. Our system can be utilized for art education besides professional painters. Our system is not a naïve imitation of real watercolor painting, but handles with properties of watercolor such as diffusion, boundary salience, and mixing of water and pigment.

A limit switch box is used for an indicator of a valve actuator. This device indicates an opening and closing of a valve or a throttle in the valve actuator. In a ship, equipments require safety and robustness because of a rough environment and a specific condition during a voyage. However, the limit switch box has been used in an indoor environment generally. This study developed a new limit switch box which can be used at an outdoor environment. This study designed the new limit switch box. The housing of the limit switch box was made by an aluminum die cast method with surface painting after anodizing or chromate coating. In order to evaluate the endurance of the housing, the endurance tests against salt water have been conducted. Experiment results showed that the proposed device provides a reliable performance against salt water.

다양한 디지털 콘텐츠 생성 기술은 최근의 컴퓨터 및 태블릿 PC의 발전으로 더욱 널리 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제 화가의 스케치 작품을 분석해, 그와 유사한 스케치 효과를 생성하는 기법을 제안한다. 이를 위해, 우리는 반 고흐의 실제 드로잉 작품을 분석하고, 각 객체별로 사용된 스케치 스트로크의 패턴을 분석하고 DB를 구성한다. 그리고 이를 기반으로, 각 오브젝트별로 해당 스트로크 패턴을 적용하여 스케치 효과를 재현하였다.

수묵 담채화는 먹과 채색을 동시에 사용하는 예술 양식을 의미한다. 이는 동양 미술의 전통적인 기법중의 하나로 널리 알려져 있으며, 영화 및 광고 포스터 및 카메라의 다양한 특수효과 표현 등에 널리 활용된다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 그래픽스 및 영상처리 기법을 기반으로, 참조된 예제 이미지의 수묵담채화 특징이 반영된 결과영상 생성 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이를 위해 우리는 크게 두 가지 단계를 거친다. 첫 번째 단계는 채색 효과 표현단계이다. 우리는 예제 영상에 나타나는 재질감을 수치적으로 분석해 결과 영상에 반영할 수 있는 질감 전이 기법을 활용하였다. 두번째는 먹선 효과의 표현이다. 우리는 예제영상의 윤곽선에서 나타나는 명도 변화 값을 고려하여 먹선 효과를 표현하였다. 우리의 알고리즘은 선택된 참조 영상에 따라 다양한 느낌의 수묵 담채 스타일의 결과를 표현할 수 있으며, 이 기법은, 다양한 콘텐츠 생성 연구에 활용 가능하다.

Spray as a liquid atomization technique has wide applications of combustion, painting, chemical, medical and agricultural purpose, and so on. Capillary tubes and expansion valves, as an expansion device of vapor compression type refrigerators, has been used from the early time. But there are some problems in practice, the former can't control refrigerant flowrate exactly and the later most of imported are expensive relatively and has some difficulties to install. Choosing an injector as a new concept of expansion device of refrigerator in this study to improve such troubles of the coming expansion device, the refrigerant spray behavior and refrigeration characteristics are evaluated experimentally. It is verified that the injector with a good function of refrigerant atomization plays a desirable role of refrigerant expansion in the actual refrigeration cycle.
