Standardization of a Remote Motoring and Controlling System for Nursery Electrical Facilities (양식장 전력설비의'원격 감시 및 제어 시스템 표준화)

  • This paper describes the standardization of remote monitoring and controlling system for nursery electrical facilities. The proposed system have three operating modes of motoring, controlling, and fault-notifying. In fault-notifying mode, the local unit is designed to send messages on failure of the electrical facilities to the central computer, mobile phone, and pager. Also, the local unit is consisted of 24-input and 8-output port needed for monitoring and controlling the facilities. With the use of this standardized system, we could expect the effective management in every phase of nursery facilities.

  • Owing to the rapid development of economy and the higher living standard of people, electricity demands have growth and the peak load has been increased rapidly. To cope with this impacts and to reduce the cost of service,utilities are conserned about power load management program. This paper shows a scheme of power load control and the basic structure of direct load control system. And also radio control method using the public pager which is one of the best economical and serviceable method in techniques will be introduced briefly.

  • In tills paper, we design it decoder for the FLEX high speed paging protocol. The decoder that we design consists of a synchronizer, a de-interleaver, a error corrector and a packet builder In the FLEX protocol, a word is coded using HCH algorithm. In this design, we do not use a look-up table in order to decrease a chip area of the BCH decoder. The simulation result shows that the decoder is correctly designed

  • In this pager, the authors have implemented a blood flow simulator and a LDF(laser Doppler flowmeter) probe using self-mixing effect of the laser diode. The purpose of the blood flow simulator is to simulate microvascular blood flow in tissue. It consists of melinex film (thickness = $123\;{\mu}m$) which has similar optical characteristics to epidermis and porous polyethylene filter (Vyon, porosity 35%, mean pore size $50\;{\mu}m$, thickness=1 mm) which has similar optical characteristics to dermis. The blood flowmeter probe consists of laser diode(5 mW, 780 nm wavelength), CD lens(focal length 12 mm). current-to-voltage converter, highpass filter, and premplifier. It doesn't need optical fiber, therefore, implementation of the probe is simpler than conventional probe using optical fiber.

  • There are no products, systems to manage health and detect security for infant, the old and the weak in Korea. Recently, the concerns of parents are increasing more about all of children(baby, infant, etc) because rate of birth is decreasing gradually. Also, the average span of human life is on an increasing trend according to well-being and evolution of medical treatment. Therefore, this treatise analyzed problems in managing and following-up infant, the old and the weak at present. By using TRIZ to solve problems, we devised new conceptional ideas, detail designs to manage health, detect security, cope with correspondences for them and developed the prototype and tested it. Excellent performances are proved through various field test.

  • As the maximum power operating point(MPOP) of Photovoltaic(PV) power generation systems changes with changing atmospheric conditions such as solar radiation and temperature, an important consideration. In the design of efficient PV system is to track the MPOP correctly. Many maximum power point tracking(MPPT) techniques have been considered in the past, however, techniques using microprocessors with appropriate MPPT algorithms are favored because of their flexibility and compatibility with different PV arrays. Although the efficiency of these MPPT algorithms is usually high, it drops noticeably in case of rapidly changing atmospheric conditions. This pager proposed a new MPPT algorithm based on perturb & observe(P&O) algorithm with experiment. The results shows that the new P&O algorithm has successfully tracked the MPOP, even in case of rapidly changing atmospheric conditions, and has higher efficiency than ordinary algorithms.

  • The present study was carried out in order to develop a remote-controlled micro ornithopter with a weight of 20 gram. This ornithopter has three channel radio control. It runs on two direct-current type pager motors powered by a lithium polymer battery which flaps its 35cm wings. The performance of an ornithopter, applied to a flapping motion only, was validated by flight tests. The flight test results indicate that the ornithopter developed here has sufficient thrust to propel itself.

  • Several protocols have been developed to efficiently utilize a great number of distributed resources. This paper investigated the background, operations and elements of SRU and SRU Record Update protocol, compared them with other protocols, and reviewed their implementation cases. The purpose of this pager is to broaden the understanding of the two new standards and to provide a practical guide to ensure their interoperability for libraries and information service centers which want to expose their own contents and to access to external resources.

Development of Vibration Motor Using Coreless Permanent Magnet DC Motor (무철심 영구자석 직류 모터를 이용한 진동자 개발)

  • With a remarkable expansion of communication industry, a pager or a cellular phone becomes a necessary communication device in modern society. However, a paging signal by a buzzer is often acted as an unpleasant noise in some places, thus necessitating a paging signal by a vibration motor. In this paper, a simpler type of a vibration motor, a coreless permanent magnet(PM) DC motor, is considered to substitute for the conventional vibration motors. Using an analytical method, electromagnetic field and operating torque were calculated for the given inner and outer PM type motors, and the results were confirmed by FEM analysis. As design parameters, number of PM poles, PM radial thickness, coil arc angle and number of winding stacks were chosen for sensitivity analysis. It shows that coil arc angle is the most important design parameter to increase the motor performance, without giving an adverse effect on motor weight, size and manufacturing cost. Based on the analysis of the outer PM type motor, an outer square PM type motor is proposed as the final design. Compared to the outer PM type, outer square type provides more flexibility to attach to the small size cellular phones. With the optimum design of square outer PM DC motor, it can successfully substitute the conventional types with less expensive manufacturing cost. better performance and smaller necessary space.

  • This Pager presents an object-oriented analysis and design for Remote Examination System on Internet. The UML is used for describing the process of analyzing and designing the system. The system is composed of the parts: Question Generation part that professors make questions, Question Answer part that students answer the questions. By object-oriented analysis and design, the system inherits the advantages of object-oriented methodology. All the results are retained on database on server-side. This system can be integrated with the Cyber-University System, and substituted for off-line paper-based tests or adopted to on-line poll applications on Internet.
