LED 공정의 균일 코팅을 위한 초음파 진동자 설계 및 해석 (Design and Analysis of Ultrasonic Vibrator for Conformal Coating in LED Packaging)

  • This paper presents design and analysis of ultrasonic vibrator featuring the piezoelectric actuator. After describing a geometric configuration of the proposed vibrator, an analytical model of the ultrasonic vibrator is formulated by adopting liquid film pattern theory and wave theory. The dynamic analysis and geometric optimization are then undertaken using a software ANSYS. The optimization is performed by taking the amplitude of the tip displacement as an objective function. The fluid flow characteristics of the proposed vibrator are analyzed by taking three different fluids: water, silicon oil and ethylene-glycol. This is achieved using a software FLUENT.

Highly Efficient Gene Delivery into Transfection-Refractory Neuronal and Astroglial Cells Using a Retrovirus-Based Vector

  • Introduction of foreign genes into brain cells, such as neurons and astrocytes, is a powerful approach to study the gene function and regulation in the neuroscience field. Calcium phosphate precipitates have been shown to cause cytotoxicity in some mammalian cells and brain cells, thus leading to low transfection efficiency. Here, we describe a retrovirus-mediated gene delivery method to transduce foreign genes into brain cells. In an attempt to achieve higher gene delivery efficiency in these cells, we made several changes to the original method, including (1) use of a new packaging cell line, Phoenix ampho cells, (2) transfection of pMX retroviral DNA, (3) inclusion of 25 mM chloroquine in the transduction, and (4) 3- 5 h incubation of retroviruses with target cells. The results showed that the modified protocol resulted in a range of 40- 60% gene delivery efficiency in neurons and astrocytes. Furthermore, these results suggest the potential of the retrovirus-mediated gene delivery protocol being modified and adapted for other transfection-refractory cell lines and primary cells.

Post-production service of smart farming based on ICT network

  • The post-production of smart farming defines the stage that the final products are delivered from producer to consumers via market on ICT network. It deals with the process of product packaging and distribution from producer to consumer with marketing strategy. This focus on reference model for post-production service including specialization, centralization of product delivery, and just-in-time delivery, and marketing system on the network. It defines a significant function component on post-production stage. The producer plays a significant role in economy being one of the main contributors to the many customers. This articles suggest the effective product distribution service which requires delivering the right product, in the right quantity, in the right condition, to the right place, at the right time, for the right cost, and encompassing global marketing based on ICT network, will be provided[1].

  • As the high speed and high integration of semiconductor devices and the generation of heat increases resulted in the effective heat dissipation influences on the performance and lifetime of semiconductor devices. The heat resistance or heat spread function of EMC(epoxy molding compound) which protects these devices became one of very important factors in the evaluation of semiconductor chips. Recently, silica, alumina, AlN(aluminum nitride) powders are widely used as the fillers of EMC. The filler loading in encapsulants was high up to about 80 vol%. A high loading of filler was improved low water absorption, low stress, high strength, better flowability and high thermal conductivity. In this study, the thermal properties were investigated through thermal, mechanical and microstructure. Thermophysical properties were investigated by laser flash and differential scanning calorimeter(DSC). For detailed inspection of materials, the samples were examined by SEM.

NMR Studies on the N-terminal Acetylation Domain of Histone H4

  • Histones, nuclear proteins that interact with DNA to form nucleosomes, are essential for both the regulation of transcription and the packaging of DNA within chromosomes. The N-terminal domain of histone H4 which contains four acetylation sites at lysines, may play a separate role in chromatin structure from the remainder of the H4 chain. NMR data suggest that H4NTP peptide does have relating disordered structure at physiological pH, however, it has a defined structure at lower pH conditions. The solution structure calculated from NMR data shows a well structured region comprising residues of Val21-Asp24. In addition, our results suggest that the H4NTP prefers an extended backbone conformation at acetylation sites, however, it (especially Lys 12 ) became more defined structures after acetylation for its optimum function.

건대추의 등온흡습곡선 및 품질열화특성 (Moisture Sorption Isotherm and Quality Deterioration of Dry Jujube)

  • In order to provide informations for designing packaging and storage condition of dry jujube (Zizyphus jujuba MILLER), moisture sorption isotherm was determined for temperatures of 20, 30 and 4$0^{\circ}C$, and quality changes were evaluated as function of temperature and water activity. Dry jujube at a given water activity showed higher equilibrium moisture content for lower temperature. Moisture isothem could be fitted by GAB model equation, giving higher C value, lower m0 and relatively constant k value with increase in temperature. Ascorbic acid was lost more highly at higher temperature and water activity, and showed negligible retention for whole range of water activity and temperature studied after 141 days. Browning increased with water activity up to 0.73 at 30 and 4$0^{\circ}C$. Dry jujube of high water activity had high L value in surface color, which represent brightness of surface color. Considering quality retention in the storage, dry jujube is desired to be dried to water activity of 0.42 and be stored at temperature below 3$0^{\circ}C$

  • 본 논문에서는 형광 이미징 시스템의 대역통과필터의 회전에 의한 특성 변화를 관찰하였다. 이론적 모델을 통해 대역통과필터의 투과율 및 대역폭이 회전각에 따라 변한다는 것을 알 수 있고, 회전각에 따른 파장별 투과율 측정을 통해 이를 입증하였다. 그러므로 대역통과필터의 회전에 따른 특성변화를 이용하면 바이오 영상 장치를 정밀하게 조절하여 시스템의 형광 신호를 더욱 강하게 하고, 양질의 영상을 얻을 수 있다.

이방 도전성 페이스트의 상온 보관성 향상을 위한 Imidazole 경화 촉매제의 Encapsulation (Encapsulation of an 2-methyl Imidazole Curing Accelerator for the Extended Pot Life of Anisotropic Conductive Pastes (ACPs))

  • 본 연구에서는 일액형 이방 도전성 페이스트(anisotropic conductive paste, ACP) 혼합 조성의 상온 보관성을 향상시키기 위해 2-methyl imidazole 경화 촉매제를 5종의 각기 다른 물질로써 encapsulation하였다. Encapsulation용 분말 물질들은 DSC를 통해 그 융점을 관찰하였으며, 이를 통해 encapsulation용 분말 물질들을 액상으로 용융시켜 encapsulation하는 공정이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다. Encapsulation된 2-methyl imidazole 분말을 포함한 ACP 혼합물질의 상온 보관성을 평가하기 위하여 시간에 따른 점도 변화가 관찰되었다. 그 결과, stearic acid와 carnauba wax로 encapsulation된 2-methyl imidazole 분말을 포함한 혼합물질에서 향상된 상온 보관성을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 이러한 formulation은 기본 혼합물질과도 유사한 경화 거동을 보임을 확인할 수 있었다. 최종적으로 stearic acid와 carnauba wax로 encapsulation된 2-methyl imidazole 분말을 포함한 혼합물질을 사용하여 RFID 칩을 제조된 안테나 패턴이 형성된 PET 기판에 고속 플립칩 본딩을 실시하였다. 이 경우 측정된 접합 강도는 기본 혼합물질에 비해 약 37%의 수준인 것으로 측정되었다.

BGA 솔더 접합부의 기계적.전기적 특성에 미치는 리플로우 횟수의 효과 (Effect of Reflow Number on Mechanical and Electrical Properties of Ball Grid Array (BGA) Solder Joints)

  • 본 연구에서는 리플로우 횟수를 달리하여 Sn-37Pb, Sn-3.5Ag와 Sn-3.5Ag-0.75Cu (all wt.%) BGA 솔더 접합부들을 OSP가 코팅된 Cu 패드 상에 형성시킨 후, 기계적 전기적 특성을 연구하였다. 주사전자현미경 분석 결과, 접합 계면에 생성된 $Cu_6Sn_5$ 금속간화합물 층의 두께는 리플로우 횟수가 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. Sn-Pb와 Sn-Ag-Cu 솔더 접합부의 경우, 3회 리플로우 후 최대 전단 강도를 나타내었으며, Sn-Ag 솔더 접합부의 경우 4회 리플로우 후 최대 전단 강도를 나타내었다. 이후 리플로우 횟수가 10회까지 증가함에 따라 전단 강도는 점차 감소하였다. 리플로우 횟수가 증가함에 따라 전기적 특성은 점차 감소하였다.

ITO/PEDOT:PSS/MEH-PPV/Al 구조의 고분자 유기발광다이오드의 특성 연구 (The Properties of Polymer Light Emitting Diodes with ITO/PEDOT:PSS/MEH-PPV/Al Structure)

  • ITO(indium tin oxide)/Glass 기판위에 정공 수송층으로 PEDOT:PSS[poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfolnate)]과 발광층으로 MEH-PPV[poly(2-methoxy-5-(2-ethyhexoxy)-1,4phenylenvinylene)]의 고분자를 사용하여 ITO/PEDOT:PSS/MEH-PPV/Al 구조를 갖는 고분자 유기 발광다이오드 (polymer light emitting diode: PLED)를 제작하였다. 고분자 유기 발광다이오드 제작시 MEH-PPV의 농도$(0.1\;wt\%\~0.9\;wt\%)$가 발광층 표면 거칠기와 박막층판의 마찰계수(friction coefficient)에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. MEH-PPV의 농도를 $0.1\;wt\%$에서 $0.9\;wt\%$로 증가함에 따라 발광층의 RMS 값은 1.72 nm 에서 1.00 nm로 감소하여 거칠기가 개선되는 경향을 보여 주었다. 또한 발광층 박막의 마찰계수는 0.048에서 0.035로 감소하여 박막의 접합상태가 나빠지는 현상을 나타내었다. $0.5\;wt\%$의 농도를 갖는 PLED 다이오드에서 최대 휘도인 $409\;cd/m^2$ 값을 얻었다.
