기후 및 계절정보를 이용한 딥러닝 기반의 장기간 태양광 발전량 예측 기법 (Deep Learning Based Prediction Method of Long-term Photovoltaic Power Generation Using Meteorological and Seasonal Information)

  • 최근 온실가스의 증가로 인한 기후변화 대응의 필요성과 전력수요의 증가로 인해 태양광발전량(PV) 예측의 중요성은 급격히 증가하고 있다. 특히, 태양광 발전량을 예측하는 것은 합리적인 전력 가격결정과 시스템 안정성 및 전력 생산 균형과 같은 문제를 효과적으로 해결하기 위해 전력생산 계획을 합리적으로 계획하는데 도움이 될 수 있다. 그러나 일사량, 운량, 온도 등과 같은 기후정보 및 계절 변화로 인한 태양광 발전량이 무작위적으로 변화하기 때문에 정확한 태양광 발전량을 예측하는 것은 도전적인 일이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 모델을 통해 기후 및 계절정보를 이용하여 학습함으로써 장기간 태양광 발전량 예측 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 시계열 방법 중 하나인 계절형 ARIMA 모델과 하나의 은닉층으로 구성되어 있는 ANN 기반의 모델, 하나 이상의 은닉층으로 구성되어 있는 DNN 기반의 모델과의 비교를 통해 본 연구에서 제시한 모델의 성능을 평가한다. 실데이터를 통한 실험 결과, 딥러닝 기반의 태양광 발전량 예측 기법이 가장 우수한 성능을 보였으며, 이는 본 연구에서 목표로 한 태양광 발전량 예측 성능 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 나타내었음을 보여준다.

PV cell modeling의 수학적 고찰 (Mathematical Consideration on PV Cell Modeling)

  • PV cell modeling is necessary both for software and hardware simulators in analyzing and testing the performance of PV generation systems. Unique I-V curve of a PV cell identifies its own characteristics by electrical equivalent model that is composed of diode constants ($I_o$, $v_t$), photo-generated current ($I_{ph}$), series resistance ($R_s$), and shunt resistance ($R_{sh}$). Photo-generated current can be easily estimated since it is proportional to irradiation level. However, other electrical parameters should be solved from the manufacturer's data sheet that is consisted with three remarkable operating points such as open circuit voltage ($V_{oc}$), short circuit current ($I_{sc}$), and maximum power voltage/current ($V_{MPP}/I_{MPP}$). This paper explains and analyzes mathematical process of a novel PV cell modeling algorithm that was proposed by the authors with the name of "K-algorithm".

사우디아라비아 태양광 발전 시스템의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Photovoltaic Power System in Saudi Arabia)

  • We have analyzed the performance of 58 kWp photovoltaic (PV) power systems installed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Performance ratio (PR) of 3 PV systems with 3 desert-type PV modules using monitoring data for 1 year showed 85.5% on average. Annual degradation rate of 5 individual modules achieved 0.26%, the regression model using monitoring data for the specified interval of one year showed 0.22%. Root mean square error (RMSE) of 6 big data analysis models for power output prediction in May 2016 was analyzed 2.94% using a support vector regression model.

To manage effectively solar energy to power system, it is essential part In this paper, we develop the PV power prediction algorithm using adaptive neuro-fuzzy model considering various input factors such as temperature, solar irradiance, sunshine hours, and cloudiness. To evaluate performance of the proposed model according to input factors, we performed various experiments by using real data.

Overall efficiency enhancement and cost optimization of semitransparent photovoltaic thermal air collector

  • A semitransparent photovoltaic-thermal (PV/T) air collector can produce electricity and heat simultaneously. To maximize the thermal and overall efficiency of the semitransparent PV/T air collector, its availability should be maximum; this can be determined through a Markov analysis. In this paper, a Markov model is developed to select an optimized number of semitransparent PV modules in service with five states and two states by considering two parameters, namely failure rate (λ) and repair rate (μ). Three artificial neural network (ANN) models are developed to obtain the minimum cost, minimum temperature, and maximum thermal efficiency of the semitransparent PV/T air collector by setting its type appropriately and optimizing the number of photovoltaic modules and cost. An attempt is also made to achieve maximum thermal and overall efficiency for the semitransparent PV/T air collector by using ANN after obtaining its minimum temperature and available solar radiation.

  • Photovoltaic(PV) array, which is generally installed outside, has the possibility to be damaged by high voltage due to lightning. Because the electrical characteristics of PV array have not been fully identified by lightning yet, there is a very important issue whether PV array should be connected with ground or not. In this paper, a basic model of PV array is provided considering the PV cell's barrier capacitance and ground capacitance for analysis of electrical characteristics by lightning using PSCAD/EMTDC.

  • The performance of PV module applying the photovoltaic effects of the semiconductor is affected by temperature. Until now, most of PV module show that the power and efficiency falls at a rate of ${\sim}0.5%/^{\circ}C$ and ${\sim}0.05%/^{\circ}C$ respectively as increase of ambient temperature. In this study, the effect of fins attached to the backside of PV module was investigated through a thermal analysis program and simulation model. The result shows that the inner temperature of PV module with fin falls about $10^{\circ}C$ compare to that of ordinary PV module.

퍼지 제어기를 이용한 PV 시스템의 ANN 기반 최대전력점 추적 (ANN-based Maximum Power Point Tracking of PV System using Fuzzy Controller)

  • A maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm using fuzzy controller was considered. MPPT method was implemented based on the voltage and reference PV voltage value was obtained from Artificial Neural Network (ANN)-model of PV modules. Therefore, measuring only the PV module voltage is adequate for MPPT operation. Fuzzy controller is used to directly control dc-dc buck converter. The simulation results have been used to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm. The proposed method is compared with conventional PO(perturbation & observation), IC(Incremental Conductance) method. The nonlinearity and adaptiveness of fuzzy controller provided good performance under parameter variations such as solar irradiation.

PV-SPE 시스템을 위한 새로운 MPPT 제어의 운전특성 분석에 관한 연구 (Analysis on Operational Characteristics of PV-SPE System by a Novel MPPT Control)

  • In the newly developed control method, the current flowing into SPE cell is the only one considerable factor. So, the structure of control circuit becomes simple and the manufacturing cost of the control device decreases. In conventional power comparison MPPT control method however, a voltage and current coming out from PV cell should be feedbacked to chase maximum power point at every moment. Then, the structure of control circuit becomes so complex and the risk of control failure is much higher than the novel MPPT control method. Therefore, PV generation system by a novel MPPT control method is especially operated much more safely in case of a huge system, because the voltage coming out from PV-cell is not needed to be feedbacked. In this paper, the PV-SPR system was actually manufactured based on the simulation model of PSCAD/EMTDC program and the results tested were shown. Authors are sure that it is the most useful method to maximize power from PV to SPE with only a feedback of SPE input current.
