EMTDC를 이용한 태양전지의 새로운 시뮬레이션 모델 (A Novel Simulation model of Solar Cell using EMTDC)

  • So far, it was very difficult to simulate the dispersed generation system including PV generation system using EMTP or EMTDC because the source of the dispersed generation system has a particular VI characteristic equation. In this paper, a novel simulation method of PV generation system has proposed and a new solar cell component for EMTDC is also developed. The VI characteristic equation of solar cell is used in order to realize the solar generation system in EMTDC simulation. Consequently the simulation of PV power generation system using field data is realized and acceptable results, which show close match between the real data of PV panel and the simulated data, were obtained.

  • An improved MPPT converter with current compensation method for small-scaled PV-applications is presented in this paper. The proposed method implements maximum power point tracking (MPPT) by variable reference current which is continuously changed during one sampling period. Therefore, the power transferred to the load is increased above $9\%$ by the proposed MPPT converter with current compensation method. As a result, the utilization efficiency of Photovoltaic (PV)-panel can be increased. In addition, as it doesn't use digital signal processor (DSP), this MPPT method has the merits of both a cost efficiency and a simple control circuit design. Therefore, it is considered that the proposed MPPT method is proper to low power, low cost PV-applications. The concept and control principles of the proposed MPPT method are explained in detail and its validity of the proposed method is verified through several simulated results.

  • This paper proposes a dynamic thermo-electric model that links electrical parameters with thermal parameters. In this model, the irradiance and ambient temperature are used to calculate the cell temperature based on a four-layer model that includes the PV cell and surround materials. The calculated cell temperature is then used in the electrical model to accurately adjust the PV electrical characteristics. Dynamic PV characteristics, parallel capacitive and series inductive components, are added to the conventional single-diode model. The results show the effectiveness of this model rather than other conventional models of a PV panel.

  • 본 논문에서는 RGB-IR 이미징 센서가 탑재된 드론을 사용하여 태양광 발전소의 태양광(PV) 패널을 탐지하는 방법을 제안한다. 태양광 발전소에서 드론에 설치된 IR 영상의 활용은 PV 패널의 결함 여부를 판단하는데 큰 도움이 된다. 그러나 IR 영상만을 사용해서 태양광 패널을 탐지하고 결함 여부를 판단하는 것은 태양광에 의해 생긴 정반사로 인해 정확도가 떨어진다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 드론을 이용해서 IR 영상과 RGB 영상을 동시에 획득하고 활용하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템으로부터 IR 영상과 RGB 영상으로 패널 탐지의 정확도를 향상시키고, 태양광에 의한 정반사와 같이 오검출 될 수 있는 문제를 극복할 수 있다.

  • There has been a significant growth in global population and industrialization, as a consequence demand for electricity is increasing rapidly and the power systems need to increase the electricity generation. Currently, most of generated electricity is generated from fossil fuels. However, there are many financial and environmental concerns associated with the generation of electricity from such resource. Photovoltaic )PV) solar as a renewable resource is promising. The power output of PV systems is mainly affected by the solar irradiation and ambient temperature. This paper attempts at reducing the burden and improving the accuracy of the extensive simulations related to integrating PV systems into the electrical grid.

  • Solar array simulator (SAS) is a special DC power supply that regulates the output voltage or current to emulate characteristics of photovoltaic (PV) panels. Especially, the control of SAS is a challenging task due to the nonlinearity in the output curve, which is dependent on irradiance as well as temperature and is determined by panel materials. Conventionally, both current-mode control and voltage-mode control should be alternated by partitioning the operating curve into multiple sections, which is not only for the measurement noise problem with the feedback sensing but also for the control stability issue near the maximum power point. However, the occurrence of transition among different controllers may deteriorate the overall performance. To eliminate the mode transitions, a novel single controller scheme has been introduced in this paper, where the reference operating projection technique enables simple, smooth and numerically stable control. Theoretical consideration on the loop stability issue is discussed and the performance is verified experimentally for the emulation of a PV panel data in view of stability and response speed.

  • PV module has many power loss factors, and series resistance is the most important elements of them. It is therefore easy to expect the partial shading decrease the lifetime of the semiconductor depletion layer in thin film PV module. Different shading losses could be related with the hot spot which is critical in expecting the reliability issue. In this paper we have modelled the series resistance of the PV module with both different direction of the cell line and shading area of the panel. From the results, thin film a-Si PV module has shown different properties by shading direction.

브이용 태양광 최대 전력 추적 알고리즘에 관한 연구 (A Study on the MPPT Algorithm for Buoy)

  • The maximum power point operation point(MPPOP) of photovoltaic(PV) power generation systems changes with varying atmospheric conditions such as temperature, solar radiation. For achieving a high efficiency in PV system, it is very important for PV system to track the MPPOP correctly according to operation condition. Although the MPPT(maximum power point tracking) algorithm which applied P&O(Perturbation & Observation) or IncCnd(Incremental Conductance) algorithm tracks the MPPOP efficiently, its efficiency drops noticeably in case that the incidence angle of PV panel on buoy changes rapidly. To solve this problem, this paper proposes maximum power point searching and tracking algorithm(MPPST). The proposed algorithm set the specific area and measures the PV voltage at the same interval. The proposed algorithm have been obtained high efficiency than P&O algorithm through ocean experiment.

  • In silicon crystalline PV (Photo Voltaic) industry, PV module or panel electric power is directly related to the companies' profit. Thus, many PV companies have invested and focused on R&D activities to get the higher module power. The main BOM (Bills of Material) on the module consists of PV solar cell, ribbon, EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate copolymer), glass and back sheet. Based on consistent research efforts on enhancing module power using BOM, there have been increase of around 5 watt per module every year as results. However, there are lack of studies related to enhancing accuracy of measurement. In this study, the enhancing on the metrology is investigated and the improvement shows actually contribution to company's profit. Especially, the measurement issues related to heat and to quasi state of bandgap diagram by EL(Electro Luminescence) are described in this study.

  • 에너지 위기에 대한 우려가 급격히 증가하고 있으며, 방대한 에너지소비에 따른 환경오염도 큰 문제로 대두되고 있다. 사회적으로 에너지 위기가 고조되고 있는 가운데 새로운 에너지나 신 재생에너지에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 하나의 해결책으로 건물의 난방에 태양열을 적극적으로 이용하기 위한 태양열 흡열 다공판을 외벽에 설치하여 실내의 온도를 상승시키기 위한 실험을 정리한 논문이다.
