차세대 인터넷 백본망에서 DWDM(Dense Wavelength Division Multiplex) 기술은 네트워크의 증가하는 사용자 수와 요구 대역폭을 수용하기 위한 방법으로 빠르게 수용되고 있다. RWA(Routing and Wavelength Assignment) 문제는 DWDM 네트워크에서 효율적인 자원 활용 측면에서 최적의 경로 선택과 파장 할당을 위해 중요하다. 하지만 제안된 RWA 알고리즘은 네트워크의 혼잡 상황에 대한 고려가 미비하여 네트워크의 혼잡 시 성능이 제한적이다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 미래의 잠재적인 연결 요구에 가장 영향을 줄이는 경로를 설정하는 MIPR(Minimuim Interference Path Routing) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또, 제안된 알고리즘을 이용하여 IP 차등화 서비스에서 QoS(Quality of Service) 제공을 위해 서비스 타입별로 차등화 된 라우팅 방법을 제공한다.

일반적인 응용 프로그램에서 병렬성이 많은 구조는 루프 구조이며, 루프를 병렬로 처리하기 위해 동기화가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 다중첨자를 갖는 1차원 배열의 루프의 병렬화를 위해 다수 개의 동일한 종속값을 이용하여 종속함수를 생성하고 이를 이용하여 종속관계가 성립하지 않는 비종속 구간(Non-dependence part)을 구한다. 그리고 동일한 값을 가지는 복수개의 종속값 간의 동기화는 외부루프 분할 기법을 이용하여 간소화 한 후 단일 첨자를 갖는 루프에 동기화를 수행하는 기법을 제시한다.

초고속 인터넷의 멀티미디어 서비스 통합에 대한 해결책으로 ATM 네트워크 기술이 널리 사용되고 있다. UBR 상의 TCP에서는 혼잡 시 패킷의 손실을 줄이기 위한 UBR+EPD 방식과 ABR 상의 TCP에서 ABR 율 기반 제어는 셀 손실을 억제하는 높은 성능의 ER 방식이 제안되었다. 그러나 인터넷 서비스의 영역이 지역적으로 점차 확장되어짐에 따라 보다 다양한 QoS가 요구되어진다. 이러한 환경요인을 만족시키기 위해, 본 논문에서는 UBR 서비스상의 TCP의 성능개선을 위해서 거리에 따른 빠른 재전송과 회복의 설정 여부에 대한 성능평가와 ABR 서비스에서는 TCP의 파라미터인 MTU(Maximum Transport Unit)의 크기를 변화시켜 좋은 성능 개선을 가져오는 MTU 크기를 시뮬레이션 결과 통해 나타내었다.

Finite elements based on the partition of unity (PU) approximation have powerful capabilities for p-adaptivity and solutions with high smoothness without remeshing of the domain. Recently, the PU approximation was successfully applied to the three-node shell finite element, properly eliminating transverse shear locking and showing excellent convergence properties and solution accuracy. However, the enrichment with the PU approximation results in a significant increase in the number of degrees of freedom; therefore, it requires greater computational cost, thus making it less suitable for practical engineering. To circumvent this disadvantage, we propose a new strategy to decrease the total number of degrees of freedom in the existing PU-based shell element, without loss of optimal convergence and accuracy. To alleviate the locking phenomenon, we use the method of mixed interpolation of tensorial components and perform convergence studies to show the accuracy and capability of the proposed shell element. The excellent performances of the new shell elements are illustrated in three benchmark problems.

The polymer matrix effect on the selectivity, response rate and reproducibility for coextraction type anion-selective optode membranes were investigated with DOA-plasticized PVC, PVC/hydroxylated PVC, PU/hydroxylated PVC and DOS-plasticized CTA matrices. Optode membranes were prepared with TDMACl and ETH2412 dissolved in one of the four solvent polymeric matrices. The PU/hydroxylated PVC and PVC-based membranes have almost the same selectivity coefficients, while the CTA-based membrane is more selective toward lipophilic anions. The membrane with PU/hydroxylated PVC adhered strongly to a glass surface, and showed highly reproducible and relatively rapid response. Very poor adhesion of PVC/hydroxylated PVC and CTA-based membranes limited the usability of those membranes as sensor components. Based on these results, and considering the biocompatibility for clinical samples, the optode made with PU/hydroxylated PVC was applied to determine the thiocyanate ion in human saliva. The results obtained with this simple device were comparable to those with rather complicated ISE methods.

While the Internet continues to integrate with modern lives, the risks of negative outcomes resulting from problematic use (PU) are also increasing. Although psychological well-being and use motivations have been shown to play major roles in Internet PU, understanding the moderating mechanism is critical for advanced knowledge. The present study employed survey data from users of a live video-game streaming service (LVGS) that is an area rarely been studied. Result concluded a positive moderating effect of escapism motive (EM) on the association between loneliness and the PU of LVGS, while the moderating mechanism between EM and stress was not indicated. A moderating effect of information seeking (IS) on the relationship between stress and the PU of LVGS was found negative, but no mechanism between IS and loneliness was indicated. This study highlights how the interplay of different motivation and pathologies may induce or prevent video-game-related addiction.

H.265/HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding)에서는 하드웨어 비디오 인코더의 처리율(Throughput)을 높이기 위하여 동일 CU(Coding Unit) 내 PU(Prediction Unit)들이 병렬로 머지 후보 리스트를 생성할 수 있는 병렬 머지 방법이 표준 기술로 사용되고 있다. 하지만 이 방법은 동일 CU 내의 PU 간의 의존성만 제거할 수 있고 코딩 순서상의 이전 CU 와의 의존성은 제거할 수 없다. 결국 이전 CU 의 모드 결정 과정이 완료된 후에 현재 CU 내의 PU 가 머지 후보 리스트를 생성할 수 있기 때문에 높은 처리율 향상을 기대할 수 없다. 또한 CU 내의 대부분의 PU 들이 가장 인접한 MV(Motion Vector)를 머지 후보로 사용하지 못하여 압축 효율에 대한 손실도 크다. 본 논문에서는 이전 CU 와의 의존성을 제거함으로써 높은 처리율을 갖으면서 압축 효율에 대한 손실을 최소화할 수 있는 개선된 병렬 머지 방법을 제안한다. 실험 결과, 제안된 방법은 기존 병렬 머지 방법 대비 동일 화질에서 평균 약 1.8%의 압축률이 향상되는 것으로 나타났다.

본 논문에서는 단일 프레임 내에서 인접한 매크로 블록 간의 움직임의 유사도를 이용한 개선된 PDE 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 기존의 방법보다 불필요한 후보 블록을 효율적으로 제거하기 위하여 인접한 매크로블록간의 유사도를 고려하여 인접 4개의 매크로블록 가운데 서브 블록간 최대 복잡도를 가지는 서브블록의 CDF(cumulative distribution function)와 개선된 매칭스캔 방법을 이용하여 효율적으로 계산량을 줄였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 화질의 저하 없이 기존의 PDE 알고리즘에 비해 55% 이상의 계산량을 줄였으며, MPEG-2 및 MPEG-4 AVC를 이용하는 비디오 압축 응용분야에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

지난 몇 년간 온라인 쇼핑 시장은 크게 성장하고 있다. 쇼핑몰에서 제공하는 최저 가격 정렬 기능은 사용자에게 편의성을 제공하나 배송비 포함이 제각각임에 따라 실질적인 최저 가격 정렬이 불가능하다는 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 배송비가 적용된 가격으로 보여주는 프로그램을 제안하고자 한다. 제안 프로그램은 크롬 확장 프로그램으로 구현되며 Open API와 스크롤링을 통해 획득한 배송비 정보까지 포함된 최종가격 정보를 제공한다. 이를 통해 배송비가 포함된 실질적인 가격 비교 정보를 제공하여 사용자 편의성을 크게 향상 시킬 것으로 기대된다.
