132 kV 초정밀 전압변성기(PT) 개발 및 안정도 평가 (Development of 132 kV Standard Potential Transformer and Stability Test)

  • High accurate and stable 132 kV potential transformers (PTs) including 66 kV & 22 kV PT with stability of less than 0.0033 % for 13 month and with ratio error within $\pm$ 0.024 % at full rated voltage have been developed. The PTs are useful as the reference PT of the PT comparator system in the voltage range of 11 kV to 132 kV PT.

  • 육상이동위성 채널에서 고속 광대역의 정보를 효율적으로 전송하기 위한 최적 방안으로 OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) M-ary PSK를 들 수 있다. 그러나 가입자 단말기 또는 위성중계기의 송신단 고출력 증폭기(HPA : High Power Amplifier)를 전력효율적인 비선형 mode에서 동작할 때, OFDM M-ary PSK 시스템의 최대 전력 대 평균전력의 비(PAPR : Peak-to-Average Power Ratio)가 부바송파 개수만큼 선형적으로 커져 단일 반송파 변조방식에 비해 비선형 왜곡에 의한 성능 열화가 심각하다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 성능 열화를 개선하기 위하여 전송채널에서 대역효율과 BER(Bit Error Rate) 성능이 우수한 PC(Parallel Combinatory) OFDM 방식과 개선된 PAPR을 가지는 PTS(Partial Transmit Sequence) OFDM 방식을 결합한 Combined PC & PTS OFDM 방식을 제안하고 그 성능을 분석하였다.

  • 양성자가속기는 재료산업, 반도체산업, 생명산업, 등 다양한 산업에 폭 넓게 이용되고 있다. 양성자가속기의 이용 분야에서 양성자 요법도 빼놓을 수 없는 중요한 분야이다. 양성자가속기의 제어 소프트웨어는 일반적으로 EPICS라는 개발 도구를 이용하여 개발하는데 반하여 양성자 요법에서는 제어시스템으로 IBA에서 개발된 PTS(Proton Therapy System)이 사용된다. 대형 양성자 가속기는 산업용과 의료용으로 다양하게 사용될 수 있으므로 EPICS로 개발된 제어소프트웨어와 IBA의 PTS가 호환성이 있든지 아니면 의료용의 양성자 요법 시스템용 제어소프트웨어까지 EPICS로 개발할 필요가 있다. 본 논문은 EPICS로 양성자 요법 시스템의 제어소프트웨어의 사용자 인터페이스를 구현한 결과를 소개한다.

  • In order to manage nuclear power plants safely and cost effectively, it is necessary to develop integrity evaluation methodologies for the main components. Recently, the integrity evaluation techniques were broadly studied regarding the license renewal of nuclear power plants which were approaching their design lives. Since the integrity evaluation process requires special knowledges and complicated calculation procedures, it has been allowed only to experts in the specified area. In this paper, an integrity evaluation system for reactor pressure vessel was developed. RVIES(Reactor Vessel Integrity Evaluation System) provides four specific integrity evaluation procedures covering PTS(Pressurized Thermal Shock) analysis, P-T(Pressure-Temperature) limit curve generation, USE(Upper Shelf Energy) analysis and Fatigue analysis. Each module was verified by comparing with published results.

Xylitol Sensitivity among Oral Streptococci

  • Xylitol is a five-carbon sugar alcohol that inhibits the growth of oral streptococci, including Streptococcus mutans. In this study, we tested xylitol sensitivity among the oral streptococci. We also compared nucleotide homology of putative fructose phosphotransferase system (PTS) and xylitol sensitivity, since xylitol is transported via the fructose PTS. Among the tested Streptococci, S. pneumonia showed the highest resistance to xylitol while S. gordonii and S. sanguinis showed the most sensitive growth inhibition. These streptococci could be grouped according to their xylitol sensitivity. S. mutans and S. salivarius showed similar bacterial growth inhibition by xylitol. S. mitis, S. oralis, S. pneumonia, S. intermedius and S. anginosus showed relatively low sensitivity to xylitol. When the genetic homologies of five fructose PTSs were compared among the tested streptococci, closely related streptococci showed similar sensitivity to xylitol. Taken together, fructose PTSs may mediate the sensitivity to xylitol in oral streptococci.

Left Common Femoral to Right Common Iliac Venous Bypass Through a Retroperitoneal Exposure

  • The endovascular recanalization of the iliocaval system has replaced venous surgical reconstructions as the primary treatment option in severe post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS). We herein present a 51-year-old female with previous deep venous thrombosis, complicated with PTS with a large and complex circumferential calf ulcer measuring 25 cm of length in the left lower extremity. Venogram revealed a complete and extensive occlusion in the left iliofemoral system. A surgical bypass from the left common femoral vein to the right common iliac vein was performed. Patient recovered well and after 12 months postoperation her large wound is healing favorably with a clean and well granulated bed. Iliofemoral venous bypass is a feasible treatment for non-healing ulcer of lower extremity.

신임 소방대원의 외상 후 스트레스 영향요인 (Factors Affecting Posttraumatic Stress in New Firefighters)

  • This study investigated a posttraumatic stress, social support, and work burden and identified related factors which exerted influence on posttraumatic stress of new firefighters. Data were gathered from total of 144 new firefighters. Also, 22 PTS items, 20 work burden items, and 8 social support items were analyzed by SPSSWIN 21.0 program. Posttraumatic stress according to general characteristics showed significant difference in gender(t=-2.57, p=0.01), experience of self danger(t=3.06, p=0.00), experience of rescuee danger(t=2.41, p=0.02), and experience of colleague danger(t=3.43, p=0.00). High risk group of PTS was 20.1%. Posttraumatic stress, social support, and work burden showed significant difference in the high and low risk group. Posttraumatic stress was correlated with work burden(r=0.34, p=0.00), social support(r=-0.29,p=0.00). Factors influencing PTS were Experience of colleague danger(${\beta}$=1.274, 95% CI=0.08-0.96), social support(${\beta}$=-0.090, 95% CI=0.85-0.98) and work burden(${\beta}$=0.057, 95% CI=1.02-1.10). We need to reduce the work burden caused by influencing variable of traumatic stress and create more preventive discipline of traumatic stress for the new firefighters to improve the social support at work or home. Also, posttraumatic stress has to be managed consistently with support by changing the social attitudes and we need to seek the new system that anybody can get a consultation of a specialist.

Metaheuristic 알고리즘을 적용한 위상회전 기법에 의한 PAPR 감소에 관한 연구 (A Study on the PAPR Reduction Using Phase Rotation Method Applying Metaheuristic Algorithm)

  • OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 시스템은 주파수 선택적 페이딩 (frequency selective fading)과 협대역 간섭 (narrowband interference)에 강한 전송 방식으로 대용량 데이터 통신에 적합하다. 하지만 독립적으로 변조된 다수의 부반송파들이 동위상으로 중첩되면서 신호의 진폭이 증가하여 PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio)이 증가하는 문제가 발생한다. PAPR 문제를 해결하기 위해 제안된 위상회전 기법은 OFDM 신호에 위상 가중치를 곱하여 신호의 비선형 왜곡 없이 PAPR을 감소시킬 수 있지만, 위상 가중치를 탐색하는 과정에서 계산의 복잡도가 부블록 수에 따라 지수적으로 증가하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 위상회전 기법의 위상 탐색 과정에 계산의 복잡도를 감소시키면서 효율적으로 위상 가중치를 구할 수 있는 기술의 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 최적해를 구하기 위하여 사용되는 Metaheuristic 알고리즘을 위상탐색 과정에 적용하기 위한 모델링 과정을 제시하고 PTS 기법에 최적화함으로써 PAPR을 감소시키는 구조를 제안한다. 이 구조는 PTS 기법의 위상 탐색 과정에서 계산 복잡도가 지수적으로 증가하는 문제를 해결하고 PAPR 감소 성능도 보장할 수 있다. 제안하는 알고리즘을 통신 시스템에 적용하였을 때 PAPR 감소 효율을 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석했다.

Thermal-Mixing Analyses for Safety Injection at Partial Loop Stagnation of a Nuclear Power Plant

  • When a cold HPSI (High pressure Safety Injection) fluid associated with an overcooling transient, such as SGTR (Steam Generator Tube Rupture), MSLB (Main Steam Line Break) etc., enters the cold legs of a stagnated primary coolant loop, thermal stratification phenomena will arise due to incomplete mixing. If the stratified flow enters the downcomer of the reactor pressure vessel, severe thermal stresses are created in a radiation embrittled vessel wall by local overcooling. As general thermal-hydraulic system analysis codes cannot properly predict the thermal stratification phenomena, RG 1.154 requires that a detailed thermal-mixing analysis of PTS (pressurized Thermal Shock) evaluation be performed. Also. previous PTS studies have assumed that the thermal stratification phenomena generated in the stagnated loop side of a partially stagnated primary coolant loop are neutralized in the vessel downcomer by the strong flow from the unstagnated loop. On the basis of these reasons, this paper focuses on the development of a 3-dimensional thermal-mixing analysis model using PHOENICS code which can be applied to both partial and total loop stagnated cases. In addition, this paper verifies the fact that, for partial loop stagnated cases, the cold plume generated in the vessel downcomer due to the thermal stratification phenomena of the stagnated loop is almost neutralized by the strong flow of the unstagnated loop but is not fully eliminated.
