Effects of Petroleum Spray Oil on Photosynthesis Characteristics in Citrus Leaves (Petroleum Spray Oil 살포가 감귤 잎의 광합성관련 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, petroleum spray oil(PSO) has been used to control key pests in integrated pest management (IPM) of citrus and other orchards in Australia and USA. In order to clarify the influences of a newly developed PSO (D-C Tron $Plus^{(R)}$) on citrus leaves, 0.33% or 1.0% of PSO were sprayed to potted 4-year-old citrus trees under some kinds of condition, and then the changes of photosynthesis, transpiration, stomatal conductance and chlorophyll fluorescence(Fv/Fm) were determined. When sprayed with 1.0% PSO, the photosynthetic rate, transpiration and stomatal conductance of citrus leaves were decreased by 20%, and then recovered in 20 days after treatment (DAT), while there were little influences by the spray of 0.33% PSO. The value of Fv/Fm decreased more under the $34/24^{\circ}C$ temperature condition than that of under the $30/20^{\circ}C$ and $28/16^{\circ}C$ condition. The high temperature ($50^{\circ}C$ for 10 hours)-treated trees sprayed with PSO 1.0% or PSO 1.0% plus dithianon 1/2000 dilution showed not only the increase of rate in dropped leaf but also the reduced photosynthesis and Fv/Fm compared with $30/20^{\circ}C$ temperature-treated ones. From the results of this study, the spray of 1.0% PSO can inhibit the physiological activities in citrus leaf, particularly under high temperature condition after spray or the mixing-spray with a fungicide (dithianon WP, 75%).

  • 최근 홈오토메이션 시스템(Home Automation System) 즉, 가정 자동화 시스템에 대한 관심과 수요가 커지면서 이를 위한 네트워크 구축에 관한 여러 연구 및 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 홈오토메이션 시스템이란 가정에서 사용되는 여러 가전기기 및 센서장비를 이용하여 집 안의 기기를 제어함으로써 가정을 안전하게 관리하고, 사용자의 편의를 극대화하여 인간의 생활수준을 향상시키는 기술을 말한다. 본 논문에서는 Cypress사의 PSoC 기반으로 가정 내에서 사용할 수 있는 온도, 습도, 가스검출, 불꽃감지와 같은 여러 환경 센서 및 인체감지센서를 이용한 방범 센서 장치 구현방법을 제안하고, PSoC 기반의 WirelessUSB를 이용하여 센서 및 호스트 PC와의 네트워크 시스템을 구축한다.

Efficacy of a petroleum spray oil for the control of citrus pests, spirea aphid (Aphis citricola) and two scales (lcerya purchasi and Planococcus cryptus) in Jeju island (감귤의 조팝나무 진딧물 및 깍지벌레류에 대한 Petroleum Spray Oil의 방제효과)

  • The efficacy of petroleum spray oil (PSO; D-C Tron $Plus^{(R)}$) against spirea aphid (Aphis citricola) and two scales (lcerya purchasi and Planococcus cryptus) on citrus was tested in Jeju, Korea. The control value of 0.33% PSO against spirea aphid was over 90% at 3 and 6 days after treatment (DAT), and then decreased to about 80% at 9 and 14 DAT. Spraying of PSO (0.33, 0.66, 1%) against cottony-cushion scale showed a much lower control value (less than 50%) during the investigation period compared to that of the conventional pesticide (Methion). When used against tile scale, Planococcus cryptus, the control value of 1% PSO was 95%, but that of 0.33% and 0.66% PSO only ranged from 50 to 80%, lower than the conventional pesticide. The results of this study, as with a previous study, suggest that spraying of 0.33% and 0.5% PSO not only controls the spirea aphid, but also reduces the density of two scales (lcerya purchasi and Planococcus cryptus) on citrus tree in Jeju, without phytotoxic damage.

  • Recently, a new developed petroleiun spray oil(PSO; D-C Tron $Plus^{(R)}$) has been used to control key pests in integrated pest management (IPM) system of citrus orchards in Australia. The efficacy and phytotoxicity of the PSO against the citrus red mite (Panonychus citri) were compared with conventional pesticides (e.g.Tebufenpyrad, Bifenazate and Sun spray oil) in field condition in Jeju. And under PSO mixing spray with some fungicides, the occurrence of phytotoxic symptoms on citrus leaf was investigated. All concentrations of PSO spraying (0.25%, 0.33%, 0.5% and 1.0%) were significantly suppressed the citrus red mite to similar levels of other conventional pesticides. And the spraying of PSO levels ${\geq}0.5%$ was induced not only occurrence of some oil-sucked symptoms on leaf, but also increase of the dropping leaf and fruit rates. As results from mixing PSO spraying test with other fungicides, little burning on new flush shoot was founded only in PSO 1% plus Fluazinam treatment. From the results of this study, with the consideration of pesticidal efficacy and phytotoxicity, 0.25% and 0.33% PSO spraying level will be recommended for the control of citrus red mite during summer season in Jeju.

  • 본 논문에서는 대표적인 시스템 모델링 도구중의 하나인 RBF 뉴럴 네트워크(Radial Basis Function Neural Network)를 설계하고 모델을 최적화하기 위하여 최적화 알고리즘인 PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization) 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 즉, 모델의 최적화에 주요한 영향을 미치는 모델의 파라미터들을 PSO 알고리즘을 이용하여 동정한다. 제안된 RBF 뉴럴 네트워크는 은닉층에서의 활성함수로서 일반적으로 많이 사용되어지는 가우시안 커널함수를 사용한다. 더 나아가 모델의 최적화를 위하여 각 커널함수의 중심값은 HCM 클러스터링에 기반을 두어 중심값을 결정하고, PSO 알고리즘을 통하여 가우시안 커널함수의 분포상수, 은닉층에서의 노드 수 그리고 다수의 입력을 가질 경우 입력의 종류를 동정한다. 제안한 모델의 성능을 평가하기 위해 Mackey-Glass 시계열 공정 데이터를 적용하였으며 제안된 모델의 근사화와 일반화 능력을 분석한다.

  • In this paper, the design of multilayer radome within, the insertion loss, -0.3 dB in X-band with PSO was carried out based on two cases. The first is that, deciding material constant of skin and core, each layer thickness of c-sandwich radome with PSO is found and the second is that, deciding material constant and thickness of the skins of both sides, the material constant and thickness of three layers between skins of both sides using PSO is decided. The performance of the designed radome almost agreed with the required performance. It was showed that the radome design applying PSO algorithm is easy and fast and the optimum radome is also designed in combination of the various parameters of radome. From these results, the radome having various performance can be designed except the tedious calculation and also be applied to various radome structure.

  • The design of a measurement system to perform Harmonic State Estimation(HSE) is a very complex problem. In particular, the number of available harmonic analysis measurement instruments is always limited. Therefore, a systematic procedure is needed to design the optimal placement of measurement points. This paper presents an optimal algorithm of HSE which is based on an optimal placement of measurement points using PSO. This PSO-HSE has been applied to power system for the validation of an optimal algorithm of HSE. The study results have indicated an economical and effective method for optimal placement of measurement points using PSO in the HSE.

  • LED조명장치는 기존 광원의 대체품으로 자동차분야, 특수조명, 디스플레이, 항공등 많은 분야에서 활용이 증가하고 있다. 일반적으로 RGB 멀티칩 LED는 천연색 구현이 가능하여 경관조명 또는 감성 조명용으로 적용되고 고출력 백색 LED는 실내외 일반조명 또는 특수조명용으로 적용되고 있으므로 광효율, 연색지수를 증가하기 위한 연구가 계속 진행 중이다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 마이컴 종류 중 하나인 Cypress사의 PSoC을 이용한 LED 조명의 자연광 구현에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. 이를 위해 사이프레스사의 EZ-Color 모듈을 이용한 다양한 색 구현보다 자연광을 구현하기 위한 색온도 가변에 중점을 두고 연구를 수행하였다. 기존에 제시된 날씨와 계절, 시간에 따른 태양광의 색온도 데이터를 이용하여 다양한 색온도를 나타내기 위한 RGB 색혼합 비율에 대해 연구를 수행하였다. 이 연구를 통해 인간을 위한 감성조명의 개발에 참고할 수 있도록 데이터를 제시하고자 한다.

  • This paper presents an intelligent reduction method for external noise. The main idea comes from PSO-FCM (Particle Swam Optimization Fused fuzzy C-Means) clustering. The data of the target is transformed from the antenna coordinates to the vessel one and to the system coordinates. In the conversion, the overall noises hinder observer to get the exact position and velocity of the maneuvering target. While the filter is used for tracking system, unexpected acceleration becomes the main factor which makes the uncertainty. In this paper, the tracking efficiency is improved with the PSO-FCM and the compensation methodology. The acceleration is approximated from the external noise splitted by the proposed clustering method. After extracting the approximated acceleration, the rest in the noise is filtered by the filter and the compensation is added to after that. Proposed tracking method is applicable to the linear model and nonlinear one together. Also, it can do to the on-line system. Finally, some examples are provided to examine the reliability of the proposed method.
