  • In this paper, we investigated the electrical and piezoelectric characteristics of $Pb(Sb,Nb)O_3-Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$ for piezoelectric transformer and actuator etc. Effect of $WO_3$ addition($0\;wt%{\sim}0.6\;wt%$) on the PSN-PZT ceramic was investigated. Anisotropic properties of electromechanical coupling factor and piezoelectric properties were proved to be varied with amount of $WO_3$ impurity and sintering temperature($1100{\sim}1300^{\circ}C$). The electromechanical coupling factor $k_p$ of 0.41 and the mechanical quality factor am of 1243 were obtained from the specimen with 0.6 wt% $WO_3$ addition sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ Experimental results indicated that the PZT-PSN ceramics with $WO_3$ impurity can be effectively used for piezoelectric transformer and actuator. etc.

  • 0.91 (PSN-PZT) -0.05BF -0.04PNW+0.3wt%MnO$_2$+0.6wt%CuO+xwt%CeO$_2$ ceramics were fabricated with the variations of CeO$_2$addition at the sintering temperature of 95$0^{\circ}C$ and their microstructure, dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. As the amount of CeO$_2$ addition increased, the grain size, density and electromechanical coupling factor(k$_{p}$) were increased and the mechanical quality factor(Q$_{m}$ ) was decreased. At the 0.3 wt% CeO$_2$, the density, grain size, electromechanical coupling factor(k$_{p}$), and pizoelectric constants(d$_{33}$, g$_{33}$) showed the maximum value of 7.87 g/㎤, 3.22 $\mu\textrm{m}$, 0.5, 289 pC/N, and 22.2 ㎷ㆍm/N, respectively. However, mechanical quality factor(Q$_{m}$ ) showed the minimum value of 807 at the 0.5 wt% CeO$_2$.$.EX>.EX>.

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of PSN-PZT[0.91Pb(Sb$\sub$1/2/Nb$\sub$1/2/)$\sub$0.03/(Zr$\sub$0.495/Ti$\sub$0.505/)$\sub$0.97/O$_3$-0.04Pb(Ni$\sub$1/2/W$\sub$1/2/)O$_3$+0.05BiFeO$_3$+0.3wt%MnO$_2$+0.6wt%CuO〕 ceramics were investigated according to Zr/Ti ratio. As Zr/Ti ratio is increased, electromechanical coupling factor(k$\sub$p/) and dielectric constant increased and then decreased after the ratio of Zr/Ti=50/50. Also, mechanical qualify factor(Q$\sub$m/) decreased and then increased after the ratio of Zr/Ti=50/50.

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for multi-layer piezoelectric transformer, PSN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured as a function of CuO addition and their dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were Investigated. CuO addition facilitated densification at low temperature due to the effect of Cu$_2$O-PbO liquid phase. Through the X-ray diffraction pattern study, absence of second phase unwanted was confirmed. Among the specimen to which CuO was added, the 0.6wt% CuO added specimen sintered at 900$^{\circ}C$ and 920$^{\circ}C$ showed the most excellent mechanical quality factor and electromechanical coupling factor, respectively. Besides the densification accelerator, CuO acted as a accepter and increased mechanical quality. Compared with the specimen with no addition sintered at 1150$^{\circ}C$ , the 0.6wt% CuO added specimen sintered at 920$^{\circ}C$ showed the appropriate dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics for multi-layer piezoelectric transformer.

At the $0.3wt%CeO_2$, density, grain size and electromechanical factor(kp) showed the maximum value of $7.87g/cm^3$, $3.22{\mu}m$ and 0.5, respectively. However, mechanical quality factor(Qm) showed the minimum value of 807 at the $0.5wt%CeO_2$.

  • The structureal, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Pb[(Sb$\_$1/2/Nb$\_$1/2/)$\_$x/-(Ni$\_$1/3/Nb$\_$2/3/)$\_$0.15-x/-(Zr$\_$y/Ti$\_$1-y/)$\_$0.85/]O$_3$(x=0∼0.05, y=0.47∼0.52) ceramics were investigated with the substitution of Pb(Sb$\_$1/2/Nb$\_$1/2/)O$_3$(abbreviated PSN) and the Zr/Ti ratio. At Zr/Ti ratio of 50/50, tetragonality was decreased and grain size abruptly decreased with the increase of PSN substitution. Curie temperature was decreased and dielectric constant increased with the substitution of PSN. The coercive field increased and remnant polarization decreased with the substitution of PSN. Electromechanical coupling factor(k$\_$p/) showed the highest value of 0.622 at 1mol% PSN, but mechanical quality factor(Q$\_$m/) showed the minimum value at that composition. Dielectric constant and electromechanical coupling factor with the Zr/Ti ratio showed maximum values at Zr/Ti ratio of 50/50 and mechanical quality factor showed minimum values near the Zr/Ti ratio of 50/50.

  • In this study, to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer, PSN-PNN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured as a function of CuO addition. Its dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. With increasing the amount of CuO addition, grain size was increased and density increased until 0.3wt% CuO. Taking into consideration electromechanical coupling factor(kp) of 0.53, mechanical quality factor(Qm) of 423 and ${\epsilon}r$ of 1759, it can be cincluded that the CuO 0.5wt% added composition sintered at $920^{\circ}C$ is suitable for piezoelectric transformer application if Qm is improved.

  • In this study, (0.96 -x)(PSN-PZT)-xBF-0.04 PNW+0.3wt%MnO$_2$+0.6wt%CuO ceramics were fabricated with the variations of the amount of BiFeO$_3$substitution and sintering temperature for the development of modified ceramics which can be sintered in the low temperature($\leq$100$0^{\circ}C$ ), and their microstructural, dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. As the amount of BiFeO$_3$ substitution was increased, the density, mechanical quality factor(Q$_{m}$) and electromechanical coupling factor(k$_{p}$) showed the maximum value at each of sintering temperature. At sintering temperature of 98$0^{\circ}C$ and BiFeO$_3$substitution of 2 mol%, the density, dielectric constant and electromechanical coupling factor(k$_{p}$) showed the maximum value of 7.84 g/㎤, 1415 and 0.49, respectively. And at sintering temperature of 95$0^{\circ}C$ and BiFeO$_3$substitution of 3mol%, mechanical quality factor showed the maximum value of 1062. 1062.
