  • 본 논문은 차량용 Built-in 청소기용 SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) 드라이브 시스템 개발에 대하여 설명한다. 기존의 청소기용 모터는 대부분 영구자석을 사용하는 PMSM 또는 BLDCM이다. 그러나 영구자석의 주 원료인 희토류 광물가격의 상승으로 인해 영구자석형 모터를 대체할 비 희토류 모터(SRM)에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 제작된 차량용 Built-in 청소기용 SRM의 유한요소해석 데이터를 바탕으로 한 Matlab/Simulink 시뮬레이션 및 실제 실험을 통하여 가능성을 검증하였다.

  • PMSM 구동을 하였을 때, 인버터의 지령전압과 출력전압 사이에 왜곡이 발생하며, 대부분 Dead Time에 의한 영향 이다. 전압왜곡을 보상하는 여러 가지 방법 들이 연구되어왔다. 하지만 전압 왜곡의 보상이 abc 축 또는 dq축에서 이루어지고 있으나 어느 방식이 더 좋은지에 대한 검토가 없었다. 본 논문에서는 d-q축 전압방정식과 abc축 전압방정식으로부터 왜곡된 전압을 보상하는 방법을 비교한다.

  • This paper presents a speed control of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) using an adaptive integral binary observer without speed and position sensors. In view of composition with a main loop regulator and an auxiliary loop regulator, the binary observer has a property of the chattering alleviation in the constant boundary layer. In order to improve the steady state performance of the binary observer, the proposed adaptive integral binary observer is formed by adding extra integral dynamics to the switching hyperplane equation. The effectiveness of the proposed system is conformed by the experimental results.

  • The a PWM VSI, the voltage distortion exists between the reference and output voltage. This distortion is caused by the intended blanking time and the inherent characteristics of the switching devices which are function of the operating condition.   • A centrifugal compressor of 50HP for reverse brayton cryocooler using neon as a coolent has been developed. It has relatively low total-to-total pressure ratio but mass flow rate is very small and the voting gas, neon, has greater specific heat ratio than air. It was essential to have very high rotational speed of 100,000 RPM. The efficiency of compressor has great effects on overall system and the COP of cryocooler. To meet the design requirement of the compressor efficiency and to minimized the required rotational speed, highly efficiency impeller having low specific speed was designed. To maintain the overall system efficient high, gas bearing of bump type and high speed permanent magnet synchronus motor was developed and adopted. In this paper, design and performance prediction results of the compressor impeller is presented.

  • This paper presents the double side PM synchronous motor/generator for core loss reduction in flywheel energy storage system. The use of double PM rotor causes the elimination of core loss in no-load state of machine. Because flywheel rotational speed is reduced by core loss, double PM rotor is very effective in flywheel system. This paper suggests two types of double side PM rotor, Halbach magnetized array and parallel magnetized array. And characteristic comparison according to thickness of rotor back core is performed.

  • In this paper, a sensorless V/f control based on maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) operation for PMSMs is proposed. Given that the MTPA operation is not considered in the conventional sensorless V/f control, efficient PMSM drives cannot be achieved. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved technique based on the d-axis current control to enable the MTPA operation in the V/f control for PMSMs. A stabilization technique is also proposed to improve the dynamic characteristics and stability against load variation. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is verified by conducting experiments with a 250 W SPMSM for driving a blower.

  • This paper presents a robust current controller for a surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) by using a PI observer. The decoupling PI(proportional-integral) controller combined with an additional feed-forward compensation has been used for the current controller. The classical feed-forward compensation using velocity information and system parameters is not expected to achieve a robust performance against parameter uncertainties. This paper has adopted a PI observer for the feed-forward compensation to cope with parameter uncertainties without using velocity information. A simple PI observer has been designed to compensate the disturbances that represent velocity coupled terms and parameter uncertainties. Experimental results as well as computer simulations with 630W SPMSM confirm that the proposed approach can deal with the effects of the disturbance and improve the control performance.

  • In this paper, a new approach for the SynRM(Synchronous Reluctance Motor) control which ensures producing MTPA(Maximum Torque per Ampere) over the entire field weakening region is presented. In addition, this paper presents a speed sensorless control scheme of SynRM using flux observer. Also, by adjusting the base speed for the field weakening operation according to the flux level, the current and voltage limit, the smooth and precise transition into the field weakening operation can be achieved. The validity of the proposed scheme is verified through simulation.

  • This paper presents an advanced method for an initial pole position estimation of a PMLSM (Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor) that has an incremental encoder for servo applications but does not have Hall sensors as a magnetic pole sensor. The proposed algorithm finds either of two zero force positions and then the correct d-axis by appropriately using the secant method as a numerical method. It only requires the tuned current controller and the relative position information and so it can be simply applicable to a rotary PMSM. The experimental results show the validity of the proposed method with respect to accurate pole position estimation under the minimal moving distance during estimation process.
