Objective: The purpose of study was to compare physical therapy duration in relation tohealth care organization system in patients with low back pain. Subjects: Subjects of this study were 759 patients who are receiving physical therapy at 56 health care organization. Methods: Data were collected by questionnaire that had been completed by patients and physical therapist for two months. Physical therapy procedures consisted of modality application, manual therapy, active therapeutic exercise, and patient education. Physical therapy session duration was investigated for each physical therapy procedure. Data were analyzed in relation to the university hospital, hospital, and clinic. Results: The mean age of subjects was $42.84{\pm}15.46$. There were no significant differences in age among three groups. The number of patients diagnosed with herniated disc were 244(32.15%) and with mechanical low back pain was 187(24.64%). The mean treatment duration per day was 53.22 minutes, and the longest treatment duration was 61.28 minutes at the university hospitals (p<0.001). The mean modality application duration was 42.17 minutes, and the longest application duration was 46.26 minutes at the university hospitals (p<0.001). The mean duration for manual therapy was 5.11 minutes, and the longest treatment duration was 5.97 minutes at clinics. The mean duration for active therapeutic exercise was 4.16 minutes. It was 7.60 minutes at the university hospitals, and 2.48 minutes at clinics. There was a significant difference in active therapeutic exercise duration between university hospitals and clinics(p<0.001). For modalities, hot packs(89.33%) and interferential current therapy(60.87%) were mostly applied. For manual therapy, Soft tissue mobilization(32.93%) and manipulation(14.10%) were mostly applied. In general, treatment application duration was longer at University hospital (p<0.05). For therapeutic exercise, exercise without equipment(18.84%) and muscle strengthening (16.73%) were mostly performed. The longest treatment duration for therapeutic exercise was 7.60 minutes at the university hospital(p<0.05). Conclusion: physical therapy session duration for low back pain was 53.22 minutes. Modality application constitutes 79%, manual therapy 10%, active therapeutic exercise 8% of total treatment duration. It is concluded that patients do not participate actively in treatment procedures.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of glucuyonic acid (isolated from xylan) on the antioxidative defense systems of red gastrocnemius in rats after aerobic exercise. The glucuronic acid was isolated from xylan. Male Sprague-Dawley vats weighing 150$\pm$10 g were randomly assigned to one normal group and three exercise training groups. The exercise training groups were classified as T (glucuronic acid-free diet), TU (250mg glucuronic acid/kg bw) and 2TU (500mg glucuronic acid /kg bw) according to the level of glucuvonic acid supplementation. The rats in the normal group were confined to a cage for 4 weeks. The rats in the exercise training groups ran on a treadmill for 30 min/day, 5 days/week at a speed of 28 m/min (7% incline) for 4 weeks. Glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT) activity in the exercise training groups increased significantly compared with that of the normal group. That of the TU and 2TU groups decreased significantly compared with that of the T group. Xanthine oxidase (XOD) activity in the T group increased significantly to 74% compared with that of the normal group. That of the 2TU group decreased to 42% compared with that of the T group, thus recovering to a normal level. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in the T group decreased to 32% compared with that of the normal group. That of the TU and 2TU groups increased to 28% and 34%, respectively, compared with that of the T group. Glutathione peroxidase (GSHpx) activity in the T group decreased to 16% compared with that of the normal group, but that of the TU group increased to 17% compared with that of the T group. Glutathiones transferase (GST) activity in the T group decreased to 11% compared with that of the normal group, but that of the TU and 2TU groups Increased to 28% and 31%, respectively, compared with that of the T group. The contents of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) in the T group increased to 81% compared with that of the normal group, but the glucuronic supplementation group recovered to the normal level. In conclusio, the effects of glucuronic acid on red gastrocnemius in rats engaged in exercise training would appear to be to reduced lipid peroxidation of tissue as an antioxidative defense mechanism.

Toha-jeot, a traditional salt-fermented seafood in Korea, was purchased on the market in order to analyze the flavor compounds. Volatile flavor compounds in unfermented and fermented Toha-jeot were compared by vacuum simultaneous steam distillation-solvent extraction/gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. A total of 104 volatile flavor compounds were detected in both samples. Of these, 66 were positively identified, composed of aldehydes(14), ketones(8), alcohols(30), terpenes(20), sulfur-containing compounds(10), aromatic compounds (6), esters(12) and miscellaneous compounds(8). Levels of several other compounds such as aldehydes, terpenes, sulfur-containing compounds and esters decreased with fermentation time, whereas alcohols, ketone and aromatic compounds increased. Particularly, levels of alcohols in fermented Toha-jeot was 21 times higher than those of unfermented one. Major volatile flavor compounds in both samples were composed of terpenes, sulfur-containing compounds, esters and ethanol.
This study was undertaken to examine the intensity of involvement of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclic GMP signal transduction pathway as one of the mechanisms of vaso-relaxative action of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on the canine femoral artery strips. Canine femoral arteries were isolated and spiral strips of 10 mm long and 2 mm wide were made in the Tyrode solution of $0-4^{\circ}C$. The strips were prepared for isometric myography in Biancani's isolated muscle chamber containing 1 ml of Tyrode solution, which was maintained with pH 7.4 by aeration with 95% $O_2$/5% $CO_2$ at $37^{\circ}C$ and nitric oxide (NO) production was measured simulltaneously with isolated nitric oxide meter. LPS induced NO production, suppressed the phenylephrine (PE) induced contraction and enhanced the acetylcholine (ACh) induced relaxation. $N^G$-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME), an NOS inhibitor, methylene blue, a guanylyl cyclase inhibitor, potentiated PE induced contraction and suppressed ACh induced relaxation on the LPS treated strips. The inhibitory potency of methylene blue for LPS induced vascular hyporesponsiveness was stronger than that of L-NAME. These results suggest that in canine femoral artery, both iNOS and cyclic GMP signal trnasduction pathway are related with LPS induced vascular hyporeponsiveness, but in minor with iNOS and in major with cyclic GMP signal trnasduction pathway.

Purpose: Toxic Exposure Surveillance System (TESS) is widely used for poisoning data collection and making a counterplan. But, there were few reports about poisoning data collection using TESS in Korea. The aim was to collect poisoning data using TESS report form and investigate the recognition of emergency physician about the necessity of TESS as preliminary survey. Methods: Retrospectively, we gathered data from hospital records about the patient who admitted hospital emergency room due to poisoning. Date were gathered by paper and/or web client system report form in patients recruited by ICD-10 codes Results: From Jun 2004 to May 2005,3,203 patients were enrolled in 30 hospitals and their mean age was $44.9{\pm}20.3years$ old(male: female = 1,565: 1,638). The most frequent site of exposure was their own residence (73.2%, 2,345/3,203) and most of reported patients were older than 20 years(89.7%, 2,871/3,203). Frequent substances involved in poisoning were medication(41.9%) and pesticide(33.3%). Intentional poisoning was 60.7%(1,954). In fatality, overall frequency was 5.1%(162/3,203) and the most frequent route of exposure was ingestion(96.3%, 156/162) and the most frequent substance was pesticide(85.2%, 138/ 162). Antidotes were administered in 202 patients(2-PAM, atropine, antivenin, N-acetylcystein, vitamin K, flumazenil, ethanol, methylene blue, naloxone, calcium compound). 19 of 20 emergency physicians agreed with necessity of TESS. Conclusion: Data collection using TESS report form showed preliminary poisoning events in Korea. Frequent poisoning substance were medication and pesticide. The fatality was mainly related with pesticide ingestion. Many doctors in emergency room recognized the necessity of TESS.
A total of 126 crossbred weanling pigs (average body weight of $6.3{\pm}0.3$ kg) were used to investigate the effect of chito-oligosaccharide (COS) on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, pH of gastro-intestinal tract (GI), intestinal and fecal microflora of young piglets. Pigs were allocated to three dietary treatments based on body weight and gender in a single factorial arrangement. Treatments were control (No COS), T1 (0.2% COS during starter (6-13 kg) and 0.1% COS during grower (13-30 kg) phases, and T2 (0.4% COS during starter (6-13 kg) and 0.3% COS during grower (13-30 kg) phases, respectively. Each treatment had 3 replicates and 14 pigs were raised in each pen. COS is a low molecular weight water-soluble chitosan that can be obtained from chitin of the crab shell after deacetylation with concentrated sodium hydroxide at high temperature and then further decomposition by chitosanase enzyme in the presence of ascorbic acid. For the starter and grower periods, there were no significant differences (p>0.05) in average daily gain (ADG) and feed to gain ratio among treatments. However, during the overall period (6-30 kg), T2 showed better (p<0.05) feed to gain ratio than other treatments. A digestibility study was conducted at the end of grower phase which showed improvement (p<0.05) in DM and crude fat digestibility in T2 over the control. At 25 kg body weight, 6 pigs per treatment (2 per replicate) were sacrificed to determine the effect of diets on pH and microbial count at different sections of the GI tract. The pH of the cecal contents in pigs fed 0.1% COS was higher (p<0.05) than in the other treatments. Total anaerobic bacterial number increased from cecum to rectum in all treatments. The weekly total bacterial counts showed higher (p<0.05) in feces of pigs fed COS than that of untreated pigs at the $8^{th}$ week. The number of fecal E. coli in untreated pigs at $4^{th}$ wk was 7.35 log CFU/g compared to 6.71 and 6.54 log CFU/g in 0.1 and 0.3% COS-treated pigs, respectively. Similarly, at $8^{th}$ wk, fecal clostridium spp. were lower in pigs fed 0.3% COS (5.43 log CFU/g) than in untreated pigs (6.26 log CFU/g). In conclusion, these results indicated that chito-oligosaccharide could improve feed efficiency in young pigs and inhibited the growth of harmful bacteria.

Eight $12.4{\pm}0.6kg$ initial body weight crossbred barrows were used to determine the effect of soybean galactooligosaccharides on nutrient and energy digestibility, and digesta transit time. Four dietary treatments were utilized in this trial. Treatment one was a corn-soybean meal based diet (SBM) containing raffinose and stachyose at the levels of 0.16% and 0.75%, respectively. Treatment two (control) was a corn-HP300 (soybean concentrate protein) diet. In treatments three and four, 1.1% and 2.2% commercial stachyose was added to the control diet to provide total dietary stachyose at the levels of 1% and 2%, respectively. The soybean galactooligosaccharides (raffinose + stachyose) level in treatment one was slightly lower compared to that in treatment three. Three collection periods were run with two pigs for each treatment/period. There was a 4 d adjustment period followed by a 3 d collection period. The results showed that the nitrogen retention (86.79%) of pigs fed treatment two diet was higher than that of pigs fed treatment one by 5.2% (p<0.05). The nitrogen retention of treatment three was intermediate 83.09%. The apparent fecal digestibility of all amino acids in treatment two was numerically highest, followed by treatments three and four. However, there were no significant difference among groups (p>0.05). The dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude protein (CP), and crude fiber (CF) digestibility numerically decreased as the soybean galactooligosaccharides level increased, but were not significantly different (p>0.05). Chromium content in feces (from the inclusion of 0.3% chromic oxide in the diets) differed among treatments (p<0.05) at 15 h, 18 h, and 21 h after eating. This showed that the digesta transit time was differed significantly among treatments. Treatment four was the shortest, followed by treatment three, SBM and control. The results demonstrated that in the absence of antinutritional factors and soybean antigen protein, inclusion of 1% and 2% stachyose in corn-HP300 diet has no significant effect on the digestibility of DM, OM, CP, CF and amino acids. When the soybean galactooligosaccharide level in diet one and diet three were adjusted to be almost the same, antinutritional factors such as trypsin inhibitor and soybean antigen protein could decrease the nutrient digestibility and nitrogen retention rate of diet. High levels of soybean galactooligosaccharides shortened the digesta transit time in the intestinal tract. This trial suggested that the total level of soybean galactooligosaccharides (stachyose+raffinose) in the weanling piglet diet is better not to exceed 1% when common soybean meal is used as main protein source.
This study was conducted to investigate the antioxidant effects, total plate count (TPC), and residual nitrite content of emulsified sausage with added mugwort during cold storage. The sausages were of five types: nothing added (control), mugwort powder added (T1), mugwort juice added (T2), mugwort ethanol extract added (T3), and mugwort hot water extract added (T4). Each sausage type was tested in triplicate and assigned to one of five storage periods: 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 wk. As storage time increased, the presence of mugwort resulted in decreased pH, residual nitrite content, and meat color (CIE $L^*$ and $b^*$) and increased thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) and TPC values. Values for pH, TBARS, residual nitrite, and TPC decreased significantly after adding mugwort compared with the control (p<0.05). Among all treatments, T3 was significantly (p<0.05) more effective in delaying lipid oxidation and microbial activity. The CIE $L^*$ and $b^*$ decreased significantly with the addition of mugwort relative to the control. In conclusion, the results demonstrate that adding an ethanol extract of mugwort (T3) to emulsified sausages tended to improve antioxidant and antimicrobial effects and residual nitrite content during storage compared to the other treatment groups.
A new technology that utilizes a microbial fuel cell (MFC) has been developed to generate electricity directly from the oxidation of organic matters such as carbohydrates or complex organics in wastewater. Fermentation of these organic matters results in production of volatile fatty acids (VFAs), alcohols, $CO_2$ and $H_2$. We investigated the electricity-producing potential of the VFAs and actual food processing wastewater using a two-chambered MFC. The electrons produced by acetate degradation were proportional to acetate concentration in the medium. Acetate concentration and generated power were linearly correlated at a low range or acetate concentration (< 8 mg/L), but at above 8 mg/L of acetate the power produced was maintained at 0.1 mW. When butyrate was added to the anode acclimated to acetate, there was a lag period of 30 hr for electricity generation. However, when propionate was added to the same anode bottle, lag periods were not existed. The wastewater from baby food processing generated the maximum power density of $81{\pm}7\;mW/m^2$ of electricity and exhibited the Coulombic efficiencies of 27.1% and 40.5% based on TCOD and SCOD, respectively. Sugars in the food processing wastewater were reduced within 50 h from 230 mg/L < 30 mg/L.
The purpose of this study was to identify the variables of foodservice employees's job satisfaction. The questionnaires to measure job satisfaction were completed by 323 employees in the Gyunggi province. Foodservice employees' job satisfaction was evaluated by the modified Smith method(1969). All statistical data analyses were conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Science(SPSS version 12.0). The study results were as follows; 1. The demographic data showed that 65.3% of respondents aged in 40~49 years old, 96% were married, 68.8% were high school graduates, 10.2% were college graduates and 93.5% were contracted employees. 2. Factors that influenced job satisfaction among employees varied significantly. Older workers tended to be more satisfied in their job. In addition, those who had graduated college showed the highest job satisfaction score(3.03). Subjects who had graduated university showed the lowest job satisfaction score(2.05). Subjects who had worked for 2-3 years showed the highest satisfaction scores concerning their relationships with coworkers(3.33), whereas those who had worked less than 2 years showed the lowest (3.14). Regarding school type, employees working in high schools had the highest job satisfaction scores, whereas those working in middle schools had the lowest. Satisfaction of leaving school time, ‘after 4 pm group’ had the highest score(3.01). 3. The correlation between salary satisfaction and job satisfaction was significant(r=0.307, p<0.001). In addition, the correlation between job satisfaction and work satisfaction was also significant(r=0.444, p<0.001). The correlation between job satisfaction and satisfaction about relations with coworkers was significant(r=0.118, p<0.01). The correlation between salary satisfaction and work satisfaction was significant(r=0.308, p<0.001). The correlation between salary satisfaction and satisfaction about relation with coworkers not significant, but it was negative(r=0.307, p<0.001). The correlation between work satisfaction and satisfaction about relations with coworkers significant(r=0.210, p<0.001). According to this study, job satisfaction and salary were positively related. This study provides foodservice managers useful information for design positions that will increase productivity. Future study is needed to determine the factors that will improve job satisfaction and satisfy the employees' needs, which in turn will improve school food service quality.

① 당 사이트는 회원이 서비스 이용내용에 있어서 본 약관 제 11조 내용을 위반하거나, 다음 각 호에 해당하는

- 기타 정상적인 서비스 운영에 방해가 될 경우
② 상기 이용제한 규정에 따라 서비스를 이용하는 회원에게 서비스 이용에 대하여 별도 공지 없이 서비스 이용의
일시정지, 이용계약 해지 할 수 있습니다.
제 17 조 (전자우편주소 수집 금지)
회원은 전자우편주소 추출기 등을 이용하여 전자우편주소를 수집 또는 제3자에게 제공할 수 없습니다.
제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.

1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
