A Adaptive Rendering Image Processing for Based on the Mobile (모바일을 기반으로 하는 적응적인 렌더링 영상 처리)

  • This paper presents an EMR(Electronic Medical Record) chart for efficient PDA through the quad tree image rendering based on the mobile. Using the intermediate image space algorithm instead of the final one for volume rendering, we have solved the probems of th eholes coming from the point-to-point to mapping. The quad-tree based on the delta-tree efficiently represents volume expressions and results in higher compression effects. With the volume rendering, we can decrease the rendering time and get a higher quality and efficiency for PDA through image based rendering.

  • These days the construction of extra-long piles increases. It is not unusual to install piles whose length exceed 45m. In such cases, the estimated value of negative skin friction becomes larger, often larger than the design load. In order to be sure of the safety of the super structure, the magnitude of the positive skin friction and the base bearing capacity should be known. In practice dynamic pile loading tests using PDA is the only possible measure to meet this requirement. However the analysis of dynamic pile loading test for such extra-long piles requires a thorough understanding of the pile-soil behaviour. In this paper, a new method to evaluate the positive skin friction and end bearing capacity from the normally performed PDA test is proposed. The proposed method was verified by performing specially designed pilot testings.

  • This paper describes RISC core that has been designed for embedded and protable applications such as PDA or PCS. This RISC processor offers low power consumption and fast context switching. Processor performance is improved by using conditional instruction execution, block data transfer instruction, and multiplication instruction. This architecture is based on RISC principles. The processor adopts 3-stage instruction execution pipeline and has achieved single cycle execution using a 2-phase 40MHz clock. This results in a high instruction throughput and real-time interrupt response. This chip is implemented with $0.6{\mu}m$ triple metal CMOS technology and consists of about 88K transistors. The estimated power dissipation is 179mW.

  • PDA와 같은 휴대용 컴퓨터는 장소에 구애받지 않고 어디에서든지 사용할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 PDA의 장점을 살려 여행자들이 여행을 하는 도중 어디서든지 부산경남 지역의 문화 관광 정보 및 숙박 시설 등에 대한 정보를 안내받을 수 있는 휴대용 문화관광 안내 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템은 ADOCE(Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects for Windows CE)를 이용 데이터베이스와의 연동으로 부산 경남의 문화 관광 정보, 테마 언행, 숙박시설, 교통, 먹거리 등에 대한 정보들을 단순한 텍스트 정보만이 아닌 동영상, 음성, 지도 정보 등으로 제공한다. 여행자들에게 현 위치에서 다른 위치로 이동하고자 한 때 필요한 대략적인 지리 정보와 이동 거리 등에 대한 정보를 제공한다. 또한 여행자들이 관광지에 대한 여행기를 펜과 음성으로 기록하여 PC로 전송할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다.

  • This study investigates the influential factors for the user's satisfaction in usage of PDA in Korea Postal Services. This is the case of user's acceptance of information technology that organization mandatorily implements for the sake of employee's productivity. The factors examined in this study include system quality, information quality, perceived usefulness, user satisfaction, and compatibility with work. All these factors were found significant for users satisfaction. Especially, we notice the close relationship between compatibility with work, perceived usefulness, and user satisfaction in case of nonvolitional IT usage.

  • 데스크탑 환경의 멀티미디어 디스플레이 시스템은 고해상도, 대화면의 영상을 제공해 줄 수 있는 반면 제약된 공간에서만 동작하므로 휴대할 수 없는 문체가 있다. PDA, PMP와 모바일 폰과 같은 휴대성을 가지는 멀티미디어 디스플레이 시스템은 해상도가 낮아 사용자에게 충분한 몰입감을 제공 해 주지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 데스크탑 환경에서 동작하는 프로젝션 기반의 증강현실 시스템을 모바일 플랫폼으로 확장한 프로젝션 기반의 휴대형 멀티미디어 디스플레이 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 PDA와 포켓 프로젝터를 결합한 것으로, PDA에서 전 처리된 멀티미디어 영상을 포켓 프로젝터를 이용하여 임의의 모양을 가지는 스크린에 왜곡 없이 영상을 표시해 줄 수 있다. 개발환경은 Window Mobile 5.0 기반의 ARM 플랫폼을 사용하는 PDA를 이용하였고, 시스템의 최적화를 위하여 x86 플랫폼에 최적화된 OpenCV 라이브러리를 모바일용으로 변환하였다. 또한 모바일 플랫폼에서는 부동소수점 연산으로 인한 시스템의 속도저하 문제가 발생하기 때문에 부동소수점 연산을 정수 연산으로 변환함으로써 처리 속도를 개선하였다. 프로젝션 기반의 디스플레이 시스템을 실현하기 위해서 필요한 기술적인 과제들을 모바일 환경에서 직접 처리해 봄으로써 휴대형 프로젝션 기반의 멀티미디어 시스템의 가능성을 제시한다.

Usability Testing of a Prototype Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)-based Decision Support System for the Management of Obesity

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the usability of a prototype personal digital assistant (PDA)-based decision support system for the management of obesity through usability testing with end-users (Advanced Practice Nurses [APNs]) prior to its implementation in clinical settings. Methods: This descriptive study used observational and think aloud techniques to address the research question: what usability problems are perceived by end-users? Five APNs were provided with the scenarios and the list of tasks to evaluate the application. Their verbalizations were recorded through Morae usabil ity software. Data analysis was based on the data captured through Morae, transcriptions, notes, and the end-user survey. Results: End-users completed all the required tasks without encountering a severe usability problem, and agreed that the system was easy to use. clear, concise, and useful. Usability issues that were unrecognized by the developer or usability experts were identified by APNs. The usability problems were categorized according to positive characteristics, negative characteristics, and recommendations. The usability issues were discussed with the project team members, and solutions were suggested to improve the user interface of the PDA-based decision support system before the final implementation. Conclusions: This approach had an important impact on making the system easier to use and more useful from the perspective of design and content. The results of this evaluation provided iterative feedback regarding the design and implementation of the PDA-based decision support system for the management of obesity.

  • According to increase in supply of public rental housing, in connection with support plan of housing welfare from government, necessity of maintenance management is coming to be important. By analyzing characteristics of public rental housing and maintenance management system, this study grasped developmental possibility of a web based maintenance management system as well as a critical point for improvement of problem and elevation of efficiency about maintenance management process. As we present not only useful possibility of ubiquitous equipments utilizing IT like PDA but effectiveness by using, based on this result, we represent course of improvement to systematic development for user that complement the existing maintenance management system which is currently developed.

  • The increasing number of analytes in concern and the alarming health and environmental consequences have required effective means of monitoring for safety control. Biosensors offer advantages as alternatives to conventional analytical methods because of their inherent specificity, simplicity, and quick response. Colorimetric biosensor, one of biosensor group, is one of the easiest and the most convenient methods because detection can be done using naked eye. Recently, a novel method for rapid detection and read-out of specific immunoassays with naked eye using polydiacetylene (PDA) was developed. Polydiacetylene has recently been in the limelight as a transducing materials because of its special features that allow optical transduction of sensory signals and inherent simplicity and ease of use in supramolecular chemistry. Various forms of PDA are used as a sensor platform for detection of various biological analytes such as viruses, DNA, proteins, bacteria and hazardous molecules.

  • 의료시스템은 모든 것이 병원 네트워크를 중심으로 의료 서비스가 제공되어 진다. 하지만 자연재해, 천재지변과 같은 갑작스런 환자 발생으로 인한 응급 이동 사항, 혹은 진료자의 외진 및 환자 방문시에는 일반 데스크탑 PC에서 이루어지는 상태의 의료 서비스가 아닌 휴대하기 간편하고 언제 어디서나 의료서비스를 받을 수 있는 Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)와 같은 휴대용 기기에서의 의료시스템이 필요하다. PDA는 휴대가 용이하며 유선 네트워크 시스템에 구애받지 않는 무선 모바일 장비로서 무선 통신이 가능한 곳이라면 언제 어디서라도 환자에 대한 의료 정보를 조회할 수 있다. 또한 PDA의 통신 기술로서 병원과의 실시간 통신이 가능하여 응급 환자에 대해 빠른 진료를 제공 할 수 있다. 이와 더불어 임베디드기기 프로세서의 발달로 인하여 연산처리 기술도 많은 향상을 가져왔고 이로 인하여 기존의 PDA에서의 문제였던 DICOM영상의 조회 및 처리속도에도 많은 향상을 가져왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 의료영상 표준인 DICOM표준을 따르며 이동성이라는 장점을 통하여 언제 어디서나 손쉽게 진료자가 환자의 의료정보 및 의료 영상을 조회할 수 있도록 하는 PDA용 모바일 의료영상 조회 시스템을 PXA255 기반의 Embedded Linux 상에서 QT/C++을 사용하여 구현하였다.
