This study is intended to find out how production people have been creating senior radio program. For this purpose, the study set up the three research questions and employed in-depth interviews with ten production people: First, production people find out senior radio listeners who have been very royal attendance of the program for a long time. And they examined senior listeners prefer to listen about health care, information about elderly life and singing contest. They have been made para-social interaction with master of ceremonies (MC). Second, unlike other radio program, the senior radio program has concentrated on the radio station's image and public interest rather than financial profit and viewing rate. Normally, it was known that radio program for senior used carried on break of the day. But some program has been broadcasted on prime time in the afternoon. Target audience of senior radio program has been expanded over the forties and the fifties from sixties. Thirdly, in general the role of producer is critically important to produce program. However, MC and scriptwriter are far more experienced and specialized on the field than producer in radio program for senior.
Purpose : Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is the major form of dialysis in use for infants and children with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The aim of this study was to gain insight into the current status of children on PD in Korea. Methods : In May 2008, questionnaires were sent to the pediatric nephrologists via e-mail. Four centers replied and those data were reviewed. Results : A total of 103 patients were included in this study. Male to female ratio was 1.6:1. Mean age was $11.5{\pm}4.9$ years (0-19 years). Primary renal diseases diagnosed were as follows: primary glomerular disease (34%), chronic pyelonephritis-reflux nephropathy (14.6%), systemic disease (9.7%), renal hypoplasia/dysplasia (8.7%), heredofamilial disease (6.8%), vascular disease (3.9%), drug-induced nephropathy (1.0%), and unknown (12.6%). PD modalities were as follows: CAPD (42.7%), CCPD (27.2%), NIPD (11.7%), and Hybrid (18.4%). Weekly total Kt/V was $2.1{\pm}0.7$ (0.3-4.1). Results of peritoneal equilibrium test were as follows: low 36.8%, low average 31.6%, high average 19.7%, and high 11.8%. Z-score for weight was $-1.00{\pm}1.20$ (-4.54~+2.50). Z-score for height was $-1.55{\pm}1.65$ (-9.42~+1.87). Growth hormone was administered in 24.3% of patients. Anti-hypertensive drugs were administered in 64.0% of patients. Laboratory findings were as follows: hemoglobin $10.5{\pm}1.4$ g/dL, calcium $9.7{\pm}0.7$ mg/dL, phosphorus $5.4{\pm}1.4$ mg/dL, and parathyroid hormone $324.2{\pm}342.8$ pg/mL. Conclusion : Primary glomerular disease was the most common cause of ESRD. CAPD was the most prevalent PD modality. Low and low average peritoneal transport type were common. Growth disturbance were noted in many patients. Some patients had hypertension even with anti- hypertensive drugs. Calcium-phosphorus levels were maintained adequately, but many patients had secondary hyperparathyroidism.
The in vitro and in vivo antibacterial activities of DWQ-217 (1-cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-8-chloro-7-(3-amino-4-methylthiomethylpyrrolidinyl )-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-quinoline-3-carboxylic acid) were compared with those of ciprofloxacin (CPFX) and vancomycin(VCM). DWQ-217 was superior to those of CPFX and VCM against gram positive bacteria. DWQ-217 showed excellent activity against MRSA (MIC of methicillin; $\geq$12.5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml), MIC$_{90}$=0.013. DWQ-217 possessed strong bactericidal action against gram positive and gram negative strains by MIC/MBC test and killing curve. DWQ-217 and CPFX were administered orally and subcutaneously to mice infected systematically with S. aureus and S. pyogenes, DWQ-217 was $\geq$5-16 fold(p.o.) and $\geq$3-5 fold(s.c.) more active than CPFX.
The fatigue load of a turbine blade has become more important because the size of commercial wind turbines has increased dramatically in the past 30 years. The reduction of the fatigue load can result in an increase in operational efficiency. This paper numerically investigates the load reduction of large wind turbine blades using active aerodynamic load control devices, namely trailing edge flaps. The PD and LQG controllers are used to determine the trailing edge flap angle; the difference between the root bending moment and its mean value during turbulent wind conditions is used as the error signal of the controllers. By numerically analyzing the effect of the trailing edge flaps on the wind turbines, a reduction of 30-50% in the standard deviation of the root bending moment was achieved. This result implies a reduction in the fatigue damage on the wind turbines, which allows the turbine blade lengths to be increased without exceeding the designed fatigue damage limit.
In this study; a series of 2',4'-doubly branched carbocyclic nucleosides (8,9,10) were synthesized from simple acyclic ketone derivative as starting material. The installation of the 4'-quaternary carbon needed was carried out using a 〔3,3〕-sigmatropic rearrangement. In addition, the introduction of a methyl group in the 2'-position was accomplished by Grig-nard reaction. Bis-vinyl was successfully cyclized using a Grubbs' catalyst II. The natural bases (adenine, cytosine, uracil) were efficiently coupled with the use of a Pd(0) catalyst. Although all the synthesized compounds were assayed against several viruses, only cytosine analogue 9 showed weak antiviral viral activity (EC$_{50}$=45.4 $\mu$M) against CoxB3 virus.s.

Growth of Electrical Tree Under 50Hz~60Hz high electric stress has been studied on the Occurrence of a Pattern, to the Progression Speed at Y axis of electrical Tree. CCD Images of evolving tree structures could be obtained in both systems. Electrical Treeing was found to occur reproducibly, but in a markedly different manner in the two morphologimlly different but chemically identical materials. For the measurement of Electrical Tree, a visual measurement with an optical microscope has been used to explain breakdown mechanism in High-voltage systems.
The paper presents a numerical underwater channel model developed in MATLAB for estimating the optical link budget between a light emitting diode (LED) based optical transmitter and a photo diode (PD) receiver when operated in the harbor, coastal and deep waters locations in the Bay of Bengal. The water samples are collected at different locations in the Bay of Bengal using a water sampler during an offshore research cruise. The optical attenuation, the main inherent parameter determining the range of the optical communication link is identified for the different waters using an underwater irradiance measurement system in the laboratory. The identified parameters are applied to the numerical model and found that a 10 W LED and a photo diode based system can provide the optical budget required for a horizontal underwater communication range of about 0.5, 14 and 35 m in the harbor, coastal and deep waters locations respectively. By increasing the transmitter power to 50 W, the operating range of the communication link could be increased up to 53 m in deep water locations in the Bay of Bengal.

This paper investigates the direct adaptive control of nonlinear systems using RBFN(radial basis function networks). The structure of the controller consists of a fixed PD controller and a RBFN controller in parallel. An adaptation law for the parameters of RBFN is developed based on the Lyapunov stability theory to guarantee the stability of the overall control system. The filtered tracking error between the system output and the desired output is shown to be UUB(uniformly ultimately bounded). To evaluate the performance of the controller, the proposed method is applied to the trajectory contro of the two-link manipulator.
Reaction of $(E)-{\beta}-chloro-{\gamma}$-hydroxyvinylmercurials, prepared by mercuration of propargyl alcohol and 2-methyl-3-butyne-2-ol, with olefins in the presence of a catalytic amount of $Li_2PdCl_4$ and 2 equiv of cupric chloride in methanol at $50^{\circ}C$ gave the corresponding (E,E)-2,4-dienols in moderate yields. However, addition of 1 equiv of inorganic bases such as magnesium oxide to the reaction mixture brings a rapid and clean vinylation and gave high yields of the dienols at room temperature. In the case of hindered (E)-2-chloro-3-chloromercuri-2-buten-1,4-diol prepared from 2-butyne-1,4-diol, reaction with olefins gave the dienols only in low yields even in the presence of 2 equiv of magnesium oxide.
Objective : In the evaluation of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD), most neurologists only see their patients during a limited period of their fluctuating 24-hour-a-day lives. This study aimed to assess the short-term outcome of STN stimulation for patients with advanced PD evaluated in a 24-hour monitoring unit for movement disorder (MUMD) using a prospective protocol. Methods : Forty-two patients with advanced PD consecutively treated with bilateral STN stimulation using multi-channel microelectrode recording were included in this study. All patients were evaluated using a 24-hour MUMD with a video recording/editing system and were evaluated with a prospective protocol of the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale, Hoehn and Yahr Staging, Schwab and England Activities of Daily Living, levodopa equivalent daily dose (LEDD), Short Form-36 Health Survey, and neuropsychological tests. Magnetic resonance (MR) images of the brain were performed prior to and six months after surgery. Results : All patients were evaluated at three and six months after surgery. There was a rapid and significant improvement of the motor symptoms, especially in tremor and rigidity, after STN stimulation with low morbidity. Dyskinesia was markedly decreased with much lowered LEDD values by 50% after STN stimulation. 1.5T MR images were safely taken according to the manufacturer's guidelines at six months after surgery without any adverse effects in 41 patients treated with STN stimulations. Conclusion : Evaluations in a 24-hour monitoring unit could reduce the dose of medication efficiently to an optimal level with patients' comfort and improve the clinical symptoms in harmony with STN stimulation.
