  • BIPV or BAPV installation applied to building is increasing through public utility mandates enterprise. Solar PV energy generates only during the day, but if it is operated in convergence with ESS, which stores electrical energy, it can restrain the fossil energy used in buildings throughout the day. A solution is to converge with PV system and ESS. However, PV systems and ESS connected to the power grid in parallel can cause problems of electrical stability. A study was conducted on the case of failure to detect islanding operation under the parallel operation of PV generation and ESS that are connected in parallel to power grid. Experiments conducted various non-islanding detections under the operating conditions. In the experiment results, when one PCS - PV inverter or ESS inverter - was operating under the islanding condition, it stopped working within 0.5 seconds of the Korean grid standard. However, when both of PV inverter and ESS inverter were operating at the same time under the islanding situation, the anti-islanding algorithm did not operate normally and both inverters continuously supplied power to the connected RLC loads. islanding detection Algorithm developed by each inverter manufacturer has caused this phenomenon. Therefore, this paper presented a new test standard for islanding detection.

  • The touchscreen device is now commonly found in the form of mobile phones, tablet PCs, and other devices. Varied physical and visual experiences can be experienced through touchscreens. This study intended to explore how the physical and visual experiences provided by the touchscreen would affect people through their existing associations of behavior-attitude. Previous studies have found that certain behaviors affect attitudes. In particular, the approach-avoidance behavior has been noted to influence both social and personal attitudes. It was thus deemed necessary to ascertain the approach-avoidance effect exerted by touchscreens on the attitudes of users as the technology is widely used today. Experiment 1 provided an approach-avoidance experience via a touchscreen and demonstrated that touchscreen-based approach-avoidance dragging behavior on the touchscreen can affect a user's preference and purchase intent. It was found that a product that had been approached showed both higher preference and higher purchase intent than a product that had been avoided. Experiment 2 investigated whether a similar effect would occur when only the visual experience of approach-avoidance was provided. The outcome proved that products that had been visually approached had higher scores than products that had been avoided, both in terms of preference and purchase intent. The movement of the arm on the touchscreen (Experiment 1) and the visual perception of the approach-avoidance experience (Experiment 2) were both shown to influence participants' attitudes toward products. The results of this study suggest that the behavior and perception of users may be an important factor in designing touchscreen interfaces for online shopping.

  • In this paper, a real-time monitoring system for environmental safety by living area is proposed. The proposed system is designed to measure radiation, fine dust and basic living information (temperature) using fixed and mobile measuring equipment, and constitutes a web database that stores data received from the equipment. It also develops web programs for displaying received data on PCs and mobile phones. The results of testing the performance of the system by an authorized testing agency showed that the radiation measurement range was measured in the range of $10{\mu}Sv/h$ to 10mSv/h, which is comparable to the world's highest level, and that the accuracy was measured between ${\pm}6.7$ and ${\pm}8.7$ percent of the measurement uncertainty was measured and normal operation at or below the international standard of ${\pm}15$ percent. In addition, the temperature test was conducted on a section of $-20^{\circ}C$ to $50^{\circ}C$ and normal operation was confirmed in response to the temperature change. Stability of radiated electromagnetic waves was ensured by a suitable judgment. The product's testing in general and high and low temperature environments for about four months after the prototype was made confirmed to be more than five years of durability. The measurement range and accuracy of fine dust sensors are compared with those of companies that measure the air environment, and the performance level is similar through the air quality measurement register.

  • Along with the well-established evidence on the negative effect of social isolation on physical and mental health, increasing attention has been paid to multi-dimensional nature of social isolation. One line of study on social isolation has discussed different pathways between objective and subjective social isolation and health. Another stream of the research focused on the possibly non-linear association between social isolation and health by age cohort groups. Drawing from the two lines of research, this study aimed at empirically examine to what extent objective and subjective social isolation are associated with physical and mental health independently and how the associations vary by three age cohorts(i.e. the middle-aged, the young old, the old-old). Data came from the first wave of Korean Social Life, Health and Aging Project (KSHAP) (N= 814). Findings showed 1) objective subjective isolation were significantly related with worse physical and mental health, interestingly, subjective social isolation was associated with mental health only, 2) pattern of association between social isolation and physical health varied by age cohorts. Specifically, compared to the middle-aged, the young old with higher objective social isolation exhibited lower level of physical health, while the old-old with higher subjective social isolation were likely to experience lower physical health. Based on the findings, we discussed implications and suggestions for future research and relevant policy/program development for ameliorating objective and subjective social isolation.

  • Recently, there is significant increasing of massive attacks, which try to infect PCs that visit websites containing pre-implanted malicious code. When visiting the websites, these hidden malicious codes can gain monetary profit or can send various cyber attacks such as BOTNET for DDoS attacks, personal information theft and, etc. Also, this kind of malicious activities is continuously increasing, and their evasion techniques become professional and intellectual. So far, the current signature-based detection to detect websites, which contain malicious codes has a limitation to prevent internet users from being exposed to malicious codes. Since, it is impossible to detect with only blacklist when an attacker changes the string in the malicious codes proactively. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that can detect unknown malicious code, which is not well detected by a signature-based detection. Our method can detect new malicious codes even though the codes' signatures are not in the pattern database of Anti-Virus program. Moreover, our method can overcome various obfuscation techniques such as the frequent change of the included redirection URL in the malicious codes. Finally, we confirm that our proposed system shows better detection performance rather than MC-Finder, which adopts pattern matching, Google's crawling based malware site detection, and McAfee.

  • This study aims to establish a foundation for autonomous driving on campus and communication of abundant university information in the HCI environment in a VR environment where college freshmen can freely travel around campus facilities. The purpose of this study is to develop a three-dimensional VR-style campus tour system to establish a media environment to provide abundant university information guidance services to freshmen in non-face-to-face situations. This study designed a three-dimensional virtual reality campus tour system to solve the problem of discontinuity in which VR360 filming space does not lead to space like reality, and to solve many problems of expertise in VR technology by constructing an integrated production environment of tour system. We aim to solve the problem of inefficiency, which requires a large amount of momentum in virtual space, by constructing a GUI that utilizes the motion of the field of view focus. The campus environment was designed as a three-dimensional virtual reality using a three-dimensional graphic design. In non-face-to-face situations, college freshmen freely transformed the HMD VR device, smartphone, FPS operation mode of the gyroscope sensor. The design elements of the three-dimensional virtual reality campus tour system were classified as ①Visualization of factual experiences, ②Continuity of space movement, ③Operation, automatic operation mode, ④Natural landscape animation, ⑤Animation according to wind direction, ⑥Actual space movement mode, ⑦Informatization of spatial understanding, ⑧GUI by experience environment, ⑨Text GUI by building, ⑩VR360, 3D360 Studio Environment, ⑪Three-dimensional virtual space coupling block module, ⑫3D360-3D Virtual Space Transmedia Zone, ⑬Transformable GUI(VR Device Dual Viewer-Gyro Sensor Full Viewer-FPS Operation Viewer) and an integrated production environment was established with each element. It is launched online (http://vautu.com/u1) by constructing a GUI for free driving mode and college information screens to adapt to college life for freshmen, and designing an environment that can be used simultaneously by current media such as PCs, Android, and iPads. Therefore, it conducted user research, held a development presentation, a forum on excellence in university innovation support projects, and applied it as a system on the website of a particular university. College freshmen will be able to experience university information directly from the web and app to the virtual reality campus environment.

  • In the construction industry, off-site construction (OSC) is drawing attention as a production method due to changes in working hours and the supply and demand of manpower. In 1991, there was a policy of spreading and expanding the use of precast concrete (PC) apartment homes, but they have not been actively used so far since they were discontinued due to quality problems. In this study, policy tasks were analyzed to motivate the application of OSC-based PCs in the apartment housing sector, and policy directions were derived by conducting focus group interviews (FGI). Nine policies are suggested regarding the following topics: PC apartment supply quantity provision, priority application of public housing, priority supply of public housing, preferential floor area ratio, funding, tax support, improvement of business area structure, improvement of delivery method, factory certification system, and training of experts. The results of the FGIs are as follows. First, in order to revitalize PC apartment homes, leading efforts from the public sector are required. Second, rather than reorganizing the business sector or introducing a new delivery method, a policy direction that induces the strengthening of cooperation is desirable. Third, PC activation should be promoted on an institutional basis for securing appropriate construction costs and quality.

  • Recently, due to COVID-19, non-face-to-face online lectures are being held all over the world. In higher education in the post-corona era, distance learning has become the main teaching and learning method. At this time, Metaverse is being proposed as a new alternative. Metaverse has basic elements such as avatars, 3D space, and activities accompanied by interaction, which can be seen as a difference compared to existing VR (Virtual Reality) contents. This study designed and built an educational metaverse platform that can be applied to actual lectures by reflecting the three elements of the metaverse. In addition, we implemented a cross-device-platform that supports various devices such as HMDs, smartphones, tablets, and PCs by reflecting user requirements through usability tests such as middle school, high school, college students, and parents, so that anyone can easily participate in Metaverse lectures. Currently, the metaverse platform is being developed and serviced in various ways, but there are hardly any services designed for education. Just as services such as Zoom, the existing video conferencing solution, were used for non-face-to-face education, some functions of the currently serviced metaverse are utilized for education and used in the form of a one-time event. The educational metaverse platform developed through this study is expected to be a reference in constructing the metaverse for education in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the use and inconvenience of informatization devices according to the disability of the elderly. A total 10,097 data from the elderly survey were used to analyze the differences in the possession and use of information devices, usage capabilities, and injustice according to disability. Descriptive analysis was conducted to find out general characteristics and disability-related characteristics. chi-square tests were conducted to find out the difference in informatization and communication device usage ability and information device usage inconvenience according to disability. The p-value was set at 0.001. As a result of the study, the elderly with disabilities in Korea had lower smartphones and tablet PCs than the non-disabled elderly. In terms of daily inconvenience, the elderly with disabilities often responded that they had no experience or did not know about the inconvenience of online reservations for trains/high-speed buses/intercity buses, ordering kiosks at restaurants, using ATMs, or reducing bank stores. Taken together, the ability of the elderly with disabilities in Korea to possess and use informatization devices is very low and they feel more inconvenience than the non-disabled elderly. It is necessary to improve the ability to possess and use informatization devices for the elderly with disabilities in the rapidly progressing aging of the disabled and the informatization of our society.

  • This paper is about developing an intravenous injection management system that can provide nurses with information related to intravenous injection in real-time to compensate for possible instability factors during intravenous injection. The intravenous injection management system consists of an app-based user S/W and a web-based administrator S/W. User S/W is implemented to provide users with the ability to identify patients who need intravenous injection through smartphones, tablet PCs, and nursing PDAs, recognize information codes given to patients, and enter and share treatment contents and treatment items after intravenous injection. As a result of intravenous injection treatment uploaded through the user app, the manager S/W can check the records of intravenous injection treatment items, perform user management functions, emergency notification registration and management functions, and data upload functions. The implemented system has not yet been tested on the EMR system used in the actual hospital. Therefore, through further research, S/W will be optimized and actual environmental application tests will be conducted through cooperation with hospitals.
