PC에 기반을 둔 개방형 로봇제어시스템 : PC-ORC (A PC-Based Open Robot Control System : PC-ORC)

  • An open architecture manufacturing strategy intends to integrate manufacturing components on a single platform so that a particular component can be easily added and/or replaced. Therefore, the control scheme based upon the open architecture concept is hardware-independent. In this paper, a modular and object oriented approach for a PC-based open robot control system is investigated. A standard reference model for robot systems, which consists of three modules; hardware module, operating system module, and application software module, is first proposed. Then, a PC-based Open Robot Controller(PC-ORC), which can reconfigure robot control systems in various production environments, is developed. The PC-ORC is built upon the object-oriented method, and allows an easy implementation and modification of various modules. The PC-ORC consists of basic softwares, application objects, and additional hardware device on the PC Platform. The application objects are: sequencer, computation unit, servo control, ancillary equipment, external sensor control, and so on. In order to demonstrate the applicability of the PC-ORC, the proposed PC-ORC configuration is applied to an industrial SCARA robot system.

Pre-Control의 수행도에 관한 소고 (A Note on the Performance of Pre-Control)

  • Purpose: This paper evaluates the performance of the pre-control(PC), an alternative to statistical process control techniques and compares with a control chart considering the tolerance of process. Methods: The previous studies for PC have drawbacks that PC with two linked stages, qualification and running, are discussed separately and independently. Hence this paper analyzes the performance of PC by integrating two stages. Results: Average outgoing quality limits to grasp the outcome of PC are provided by computational results for two process capability indexes, $C_p$ and $C_{pk}$ and the usefulness of PC from comparative experiments with modified control charts is commented. Conclusion: Helpful guidelines for quality managers to apply PC in practice and areas of process for PC to be more benefit are presented.

  • In this paper, the development of an IMM(Injection Molding Machine) controller is discussed. Presently, the Mold Close and Open Control Method of a toggle-type IMM is open-loop control. Through the development, a PC based control system was built instead of an existing controller and a closed-loop control replaced the previous control method by using PC based PLC. To control the nonlinear system of toggle type clamping unit, a fuzzy PI control algorithm was selected and it was programmed by an IL(Instruction List) and a LD(Ladder Diagram) on a PC based PLC. The application of fuzzy algorithm as the control method was also considered to change a control object like a mold replacement or an additional apparatus. For the development of an IMM controller, PC based PLC of PCI card type, distributed I/O modules with CANopen and Industrial PC and HMI (Human Machine Interface) software were used.

인터넷을 통한 로봇의 원격 제어 (Remote Control of a Robot Through the Internet)

  • 본 논문에서는 웹브라우저를 이용하여 로봇을 원격 제어한다. 4대의 독립된 PC를 사용하여 자각의 기능을 분리하고 상호 연동하는 구조로 PC를 연결하였다. 조작자가 시간과 장소에 제약받지 않고 웹브라우저를 이용하여 제어값을 입력하면 제어값은 웹 서버를 거쳐 데이터베이스에 저장된다. 로봇과 연결된 PC는 데이터베이스에서 1ms 간격으로 제어값을 입력받아 제어값의 변화가 있을 경우만 제어값의 변화량으로 로봇이 동작한다. 스텝모터를 이용하여 간단한 로봇을 제작하고 이를 웹 브라우저를 이용하여 실제 동작시킨다. 조작자가 원하는 제어값이 최종 수신단의 로봇에 제대로 전달되어 동작하는지 확인하고 웹브라우저를 이용한 로봇제어의 가능성을 확인하였다

  • In the industrial field nowadays the information that needs to be handled arc increasing and requires faster speed in contrast with PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) or DCS(Distributed Control System) based control systems these days. The work environment these days are mostly based on PC, so the control systems are wanted in PC. At Fieldbus used automated systems performing distributed process control by PC performs and combines into one system in order to maximize the increase of productivity, lower the expense, planning constructing and maintaining the reliance of automation. These latest automation systems unites process, makes distributed control process able, and can control and supervise at remote PC.

  • This research aims at developing a low-cost PC-NC system based on one-CPU and investigating the feasibility of its application to a simple-function lathe. Its hardware consists a two axes motion control board including a 24bit counter, 8253 timer, a 12bit DA converter, DIO board for PLC operation and a PC with Intel Pentium 466MHz. The fundamental real-time MC functions such as G-code interpretation, interpolation, position and velocity control of axes are performed. User programming interface with functions of icon manipulation, tool-path simulation and NC-code generation was implemented. In order to achieve real-time control and safety, axis control, NC interpretation, interpolation and user communication are completely executed during every interrupt interval of I msec.

  • Proportional directional control valves (PDCVl adjust the amount of flow as well as flow direction in response to an electrical signal. This valves includes direct operated valves with or without spool position feedback. This paper investigates if it is possible to control pressure of fluids by means of the PDCV. A pressure signal is feed back to the Proportional-Integral (PI) controller, which is based upon a personal computer (PC). The PI control algorithm is implemented in a graphical programming language of LabVIEW. The results of experiments show the PDCV can be used a multi function valve of pressure control as well as direction control.

PC에서 유닛 제어를 위한 다중 스마트폰의 통신 인터페이스 연구 (Study on Communication Interface of Multiple Smartphones for Unit Control in a PC)

  • This study presents the unit control of a PC (Personal Computer) program using multiple smartphones based on ad hoc communication. A design of the data packet that multiple smartphones send to a computer, and a framework that manages and controls the unit in a computer after analyzing the data packet, are proposed. As a result, multiple users are able to control their own units using their smartphones while seeing the monitor connected to a computer. In other words, multiple users can share the same game in a computer or control their units embedded in a system using their smartphones. An experimental result shows that a racing game in a PC can be realized by the proposed communication interface, where four iPhones are used to control their units in a computer. Thus, the proposed framework can be effectively used for unit control in a PC using multiple smartphones.

  • Since computerized numerical controller(CNC) emerged as a result of the fusion of the electronics technology and the mechanical technology, there has been continuous evolution of CNC technology in the mechatronics industry. The industry is recently developing a new control system based on the fusion of personal computer(PC) and CNC. Upgraded PC has now integrated into CNC, making various machines possible to exchange data, software and hardware, and to greatly improve man-machine interface. The fusion of PC and CNC can form a new paradigm in technological innovation of not only control system but also whole machinery industry in near the future. Korea lagged behind the developed countries in the development of open control system with the fusion of PC. Turbotek, Hyundai Motor and Daewoo are leading companies, but their commercial possibility seems to be low because domestic market is too small to reap a commercial benefit. Nevertheless, the development of the system is an essential step for Korea to embark on a future technological paradigm of the machinery industry. The government needs to play some role for the development, for instance, government R&D projects, institutional building and training of related technicians.

  • 이 논문에서는 SNMP를 이용하여 윈도우 환경에서 동작하는 실습실의 PC를 관리하기 위해 MIB을 정의하고 이를 모니터링 및 제어하는 관리 시스템을 설계하였다. 제안된 시스템은 PC의 상태를 제어하는 제어 시스템과 실시간 모니터링 및 프로세스 제어를 담당하는 모니터링 시스템으로 구성된다. 제어 시스템의 경우 PC의 구성 정보 갱신 및 설정과 장애 발생시 이를 백업/복구를 담당한다. 모니터링 시스템은 초중고 생의 PC를 모니터링하고 실시간으로 실행중인 프로세스를 제어 및 새로운 작업을 실행시키는 기능을 갖고 있다. 이 시스템은 교사가 초중고의 PC 실습실에서 교육중 발생할 수 있는 학생들의 프로그램 사용을 통제하고 모니터링함으로써 교육의 효과를 높일 수 있다.
