A survey for the structure of I/O system applied for the PC-based DCS (PC 기반 분산제어시스템의 입출력시스템 구조에 관한 고찰)

  • 최근 윈도우즈 기반 운영체제의 발전과 PC의 성능 향상으로 제어분야에서의 PC 활용이 가속화되면서 PC 기반의 분산제어시스템이 등장하였고, 전력연구원에서는 화력발전소의 국산개발 배연탈황설비 제어시스템에 PC 기반 분산제어시스템을 도입하여 운용하고 있다. 이러한 PC 기반 분산제어시스템의 활용으로 하위구조에 다양한 종류의 입출력시스템을 선택 가능하게 되었고 시스템 구축에 대한 독자적인 방법을 채택할 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 국산개발 배연탈황설비에 적용된 PC 기반 분산제어시스템의 전반적인 구성을 살펴보고 제어프로세서인 현장제어유닛과 하위 입출력시스템의 하드웨어 구조, 상호간 통신 구조 및 시스템 이중화구조에 대하여 기술하고자 한다. 또한 입출력시스템 간의 인터페이스 방법과 입출력 모듈 종류에 따른 현장기기의 활용방법에 대하여 알아보고 향후 PC 기반 분산제어시스템의 입출력시스템 구축 시 고려하여야 할 사항들에 대하여 기술하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a PC based immersive virtual environment system with expandability and compatibility in contrary to existing immersive virtual environment(IVE) systems which have been implemented by supercomputer or special computing system. The application based on commercial personal compute may have two major advantage: one is variety of resources, the other is user-friendly interface. This system intends to offer easy contact to IVE system, realistic images, and convenience. Also, the system can handle various virtual reality at real-time and make it easier to interface existing complicated haptic device. Geometric techniques are adopted to calculate and visualize the physical phenomenon to speed up the computing time. The proposed implementation method of PC based immersive virtual environment system is implemented to the example in which user move around inside of and interact with virtual office environment wearing data glove, behavior recognition devices, and HMD.

  • Stateless computing supports a mobility of computing environment easily. It is becoming a major technology for securing personal user's information on shared computing environment. With the advance of virtualization technology and cloud computing, stateless computing is an essential part of personal computing environment connectivity (user's setting and data is stored in remote server or some storage, and it can be restored at any computing environment) In this paper, we propose uPC player that supports stateless computing execution environment on Windows. uPC player provides Windows operating system to user by using an uPC OS virtualization module. In this paper, we leverage how uPC player is designed and implemented for supporting a stateless computing execution environment. uPC player provides a desktop switch between host-system execution environment and uPC virtual execution environment. And it needs just one second for loading uPC virtual execution environment by using OS virtualization-based technique.

  • Generally, DAB systems are divided into two categories, a stand-alone type and a PC/PDA-based type. The PC/PDA-based type has less mobility comparing to the stand-alone type, nevertheless, it has the advantage of using memory, audio/video decoder, or other resources of PC/PDA. The DAB receiver implemented in this paper is a PC-based receiver system employing USB interface. The USB interface bridge is designed using FPGA and EZ-USB development kit and the implemented DAB receiver adopts the bridge and makes use of the stand-alone typed DRK-026 receiver for experiments. The USB interface bridge transforms serial data into USB packets and all of related signals are controlled by hardware logics. The operation of the implemented DAB receiver is verified by sending audio data into the PC for decoding through USB interface bridge.

  • A PC-based 8-channel seismic system has been developed and applied for bedrock mapping in near shore environment. The system is composed of an analog signal processor and an A/D converter installed on the computer, and a streamer with the group interval of 5 meters. The system is accomplished with a data acquisition program which controls the system and a data processing software. With the PC-based shallow marine seismic survey system high-resolution 2-D marine seismic profiles which have high S/N ratios can be obtained after appropriate data processing.

  • 본 논문에서는 LAN 상에서 유휴 PC들을 사용하여 PC Cluster를 구성한 후 이를 사용한 내용기반의 화상 정보 검색(CBIR) 시스템에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. LAN 상의 유휴 PC 들은 인터넷상의 연산 자원들보다 안정되고 신뢰성이 있기 때문에 복잡한 보안 기법을 사용하지 않아도 되며 또한 연산시간이 유휴시간으로 고정되어 있기 때문에 네트워크의 부하 및 노드의 부하를 고려하는 복잡한 부하 균등화 기법이나 스케쥴링 기법이 필요로 하지 않는 특징을 갖는다. 내용기반의 화상 정보 검색은 화상 데이터의 대용량 특징으로 인해 화상 특징 추출 및 유사도 계산을 위해 많은 연산을 필요로 한다. 특히 다양한 내용기반의 정보 검색 서비스를 지원하기 위해 다중 특징(Multiple Features)을 동시에 추출하고자 할 때 연산시간은 급격히 증가한다. 따라서 이러한 내용 기반의 화상 정보 검색 시스템을 구현하기 위해 저비용의 고성능의 PC Cluster를 사용하여 전체 연산시간을 단축하고 실시간 정보검색이 가능하도록 하는 연구를 수행 하였다.

  • It is extremely important to minimize network access time in constructing a high-performance PC cluster system For an SCI based PC cluster it is possilbe to reduce the network access time by maintaining network cache in each cluster node, This paper presents a CC-NUMA card that utilizes network cache for SCI based PC clustering The CC-NUMA card is directly plugged into the PCI solot of each node, and contains shared memory network cache, and interconnection modules. The network cache is maintained for the shared memory on the PCI bus of cluster nodes. The coherency mechanism between the network cache and the shared memory is based on the IEEE SCI standard. A CC-NUMA prototype card is developed to evaluate the performance of the system. According to the experiments. the cluster system with the CC-NUMA card showed considerable improvements compared with an SCI based clustser without network cache.

  • On the emergence of ISDN which has been introduced in the year 1980, various services are supported. This paper presents implementation of ISDN user/network protocol analyzer based on PC-extension card. Firmware and software are loaded on the PC-extension card using PC 05. The performance analysis on D-channel signalling on this system is surveyed. The monitoring results satisfiy with ISDN BRI or PRI interfaces.

  • As mobile devices have become widely used and developed, PC based malwares can be moving towards mobile-based units. In particular, mobile Botnet reuses powerful malicious behavior of PC-based Botnet or add new malicious techniques. Different from existing PC-based Botnet detection schemes, mobile Botnet detection schemes are generally host-based. It is because mobile Botnet has various attack vectors and it is difficult to inspect all the attack vector at the same time. In this paper, to overcome limitations of host-based scheme, we compare two network-based schemes which detect mobile Botnet by applying HMM and SVM techniques. Through the verification analysis under real Botnet attacks, we present detection rates and detection properties of two schemes.

  • 본 연구에서는 PC를 기반으로 하는 설비 보전정보 시스템의 개발시 구현되어야 할 기능들을 정리한다. 보전정보 시스템을 설비자료관리. 예방보전계획, 작업지시 시스템, 보전 자재관리의 네부분으로 나누어 각 부분에서 필요한 기능들을 정리하고, 보전업무의 수행 절차를 정립한다. 중소기업을 위한 PC기반 보전정보 시스템의 개념도가 제시된다.
