무인차량의 주행성능을 고려한 장애물 격자지도 기반의 지역경로계획 (A Local Path Planning Algorithm considering the Mobility of UGV based on the Binary Map)

  • A fundamental technology of UGV(Unmanned Ground Vehicle) to perform a given mission with success in various environment is a path planning method which generates a safe and optimal path to the goal. In this paper, we suggest a local path-planning method of UGV based on the binary map using world model data which is gathered from terrain perception sensors. In specially, we present three core algorithms such as shortest path computation algorithm, path optimization algorithm and path smoothing algorithm those are used in the each composition module of LPP component. A simulation is conducted with M&S(Modeling & Simulation) system in order to verify the performance of each core algorithm and the performance of LPP component with scenarios.

  • In this paper, we describe study on the development or multi-path ultrasonic gas flowmeter using a transit time method. This system includes 5 pairs of ultrasonic transducers. ultrasonic signal processing unit using switch matrix method, computation algorithm of gas flow rate, spool piece type multi-path pipe unit. We have developed enhanced type of main ultrasonic signal processing unit using switch matrix method fer multi-path ultrasonic gas flowmeter. Also, we have developed the new transmitting & receiving method of ultrasonic waves and the new signal processing algorithm for the computation of ultrasonic transit time from received ultrasonic waves. In this study, we have designed more compact signal processing unit compared with the conventional hardware system of multi-path ultrasonic gas flowmeter. We have confirmed its reliability for multi-path ultrasonic gas flowmeter through the laboratory test using calibration system. In the future. we will perform the field test for the developed system in the POSCO gas line.

멀티 모바일 로봇 시스템의 충돌회피 경로 계획 : 퍼지 및 포텐셜 필드 방법 적용 (Collision Avoidance Path Planning for Multi-Mobile Robot System : Fuzzy and Potential Field Method Employed)

  • In multi-mobile robot environment, path planning and collision avoidance are important issue to perform a given task collaboratively and cooperatively. The proposed approach is based on a potential field method and fuzzy logic system. For a global path planner, potential field method is employed to select proper path of a corresponding robot and fuzzy logic system is utilized to avoid collisions with static or dynamic obstacles around the robot. This process is continued until the corresponding target of each robot is reached. To test this method, several simulation-based experimental results are given. The results show that the path planning and collision avoidance strategies are effective and useful for multi-mobile robot systems.

야지환경의 비포장도로용 지역경로계획 (Local Path Plan for Unpaved Road in Rough Environment)

  • It is required for UGV(Unmanned Ground Vehicle) to have a LPP(Local Path Plan) component which generate a local path via the center of road by analyzing binary map to travel autonomously unpaved road in rough environment. In this paper, we present the method of boundary estimation for unpaved road and a local path planning method based on RANGER algorithm using the estimated boundary. In specially, the paper presents an approach to estimate road boundary and the selection method of candidate path to minimize the problem of zigzag driving based on Bayesian probability reasoning. Field test is conducted with scenarios in rough environment in which bush, tree and unpaved road are included and the performance of proposed method is validated.

  • 게임 인공지능 분야중 하나인 경로탐색은 좀더 사실적인 게임을 만들기 위한 중요한 요소이다. 경로탐색 시스템은 한정된 자원을 소비해야만 하는 제약사항 때문에 때때로 단순하게 처리되어 사실적이지 못한 경로를 생성하였다. 기존 연구에서는 정적인 지형과 장애물들을 이용하여 자연스럽게 회피하는 경로생성에 집중하였다. 하지만, 게임 공간에서는 다양한 종류의 움직이는 장애물들이 존재한다. 따라서 이러한 움직이는 장애물을 자연스럽게 회피하는 경로를 생성하는 시스템 이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 네비게이션 메시(Navigation Mesh)로 공간을 표현하며 지형의 특성을 고려한 경로 탐색 방법을 적용하고, 움직이는 물체를 회피하기 위하여 지능적인 밀개와 끌개의 방법을 사용하여 경로 탐색을 수행한다. 제안된 시스템을 통하여 생성된 경로를 살펴보고 실제 게임에서의 활용성을 검증한다.

산업용로봇 작업을 위한 유연한 연결경로 생성과 시간계획 (Smoothly Connected Path Generation and Time-Scheduling Method for Industrial Robot Applications)

  • This article proposes a smooth path generation and time scheduling method for general tasks defined by non-smooth path segments in industrial robotic applications. This method utilizes a simple 3rd order polynomial function for smooth interpolation between non-smooth path segments, so that entire task can effectively maintain constant line speed of operation. A predictor-corrector type numerical mapping technique, which correlates time based speed profile to the smoothed path in Cartesian space, is also provided. Finally simulation results show the feasibility of the proposed algorithm.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a method for determining the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem using an evolutionary algorithm. The problem of finding the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem is to find a set of k arcs whose simultaneous removal from the network causes the greatest increase in the total length of shortest path. Generally, the problem determining the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem has known as NP-hard. Therefore, in order to deal with the problem of real world the heuristic algorithm is needed. In this study we propose to the method of finding the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem using an evolutionary algorithm which known as the most efficient algorithm among heuristics. The method presented in this study is developed using the library of the evolutionary algorithm framework and then the performance of algorithm is analyzed through the computer experiment.

2차원 자유형상의 레이저 절단을 위한 CNC 공구경로 생성 (CNC Torch Path Generation for Laser Cutting of Planar Shapes)

  • In this paper, we propose a knowledge-based method for generating CNC torch path for laser cutting of the outlines of planar shapes. The proposed method consists of two main phases: laser cutting knowledge construction and CNC torch path generation using the knowledge. In the first phase, cutting experiments are conducted on various operating parameters, and then empirical data are stored and analyzed to make up the knowledge of laser cutting. With this knowledge, we can inquire what a kerf width is for specific operating parameters. In the second phase, using the knowledge of laser cutting, CNC torch path is generated for cutting the outlines of the given planar shapes. This phase is basically based on the offset generation of each outline by a sequence of arc splines, where the offset distance is the same as the half of the kerf width determined from the constructed knowledge. The proposed method based on laser cutting knowledge makes full use of arc interpolators in CNC torch path generation. The method can efficiently reduce the number of path segments while keeping the torch path within the desired accuracy.

  • This UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) is not only widely used in various practical applications but is also currently being researched in many disciplines. In particular, obstacle avoidance is considered one of the most important technologies in the navigation of an unmanned vehicle. In this paper, we introduce a simple algorithm for path planning in order to reach a destination while avoiding a polygonal-shaped static obstacle. To effectively avoid such an obstacle, a path planned near the obstacle is much shorter than a path planned far from the obstacle, on the condition that both paths guarantee that the robot will not collide with the obstacle. So, to generate a path near the obstacle, we have developed an algorithm that combines an edge detection method and a limit-cycle navigation method. The edge detection method, based on Hough Transform and IR sensors, finds an obstacle's edge, and the limit-cycle navigation method generates a path that is smooth enough to reach a detected obstacle's edge. And we proposed novel algorithm to solve local minima using the virtual wall in the local vision. Finally, we verify performances of the proposed algorithm through simulations and experiments.

점성토지반의 침하거동 평가를 위한 새로운 응력경로시험기법 (A New Stress Path Test Method for Evaluating Settlement Behaviors of Clay Deposits)

  • 본 연구에서는 점성토지반의 침하량 평가에 보다 적합한 새로운 응력경로시험을 소개하였다. 새로운 시험기법에서는 배압평형과정을 채택함으로써 특정 응력경로상의 모든 점에 대응하는 변형특성을 하나의 시험을 통해 파악할 수 있다. 따라서, 제안된 시험기법을 적용하는 경우, 응력경로법의 실용적인 적용을 위해 필요한 지반의 전반적인 변형거동을 몇 개의 시험만으로 예측할 수 있으며 나아가 기존의 시험기법으로는 수행이 불가능했던 이방적 압밀응력 경로에 대한 변형거동의 평가 역시 실험적으로 가능해진다. 이와 함께 본 연구에서는 성형 카올리나이트 시료에 대해 다양한 응력경로시험을 수행하여 제안된 시험기법의 실험적 적용성을 확인하였으며, 그 결과를 활용하여 전반적인 변형거동과 침하량을 평가하는 실제 과정을 제시하였다.
