We have investigated the structure and the conductivity of the $Cd_{1-y}Zn_{y}$ Te films evaporated on the glass substrates (Corning 7059) by Electron Beam Evaporator (EBE) in pressure of approximately $1 {\times} 10^{-6}$ torr. The structure temperatures were held at both room temperature and $300^{\circ}C$, and the samples have annealed for an hour at $300^{\circ}C$ The survace com-position of the as-prepared films were slightly different from those of CdZn Te source material.Cd losses on the CdZnTe surface was measured about 4% of atomic ratio at room temperature substrate, whereas Zn atomic ratio was nearly constant, relatively. The strure is observed to be polycrystalline whose phase is mainly cubic phase. Thermal expansion coefficient was $6.30 {\times} 10^{-5}/^{\circ}C$ which was calculated from the variation of lattice parameter by X-ray powder pat-terns measured at $400^{\circ}C$.Diffraction peaks were slightly increased by annealing for an hour at $300^{\circ}C $, but they werey highly affected by substrate temperature during evaporation.
The optical properties of (1210) GaN epitaxy films grown on the (1012) $\alpha-A1_2O_3$ substrates have been studied. The hetero-epitaxy films were grown by the halide vapor phase epitaxy (HVPE) method using $Ga/HC1/NH_3/He$ system at $990^{\circ}C$. XRD, RHEED and SEM are used for the identification of the hetero-epitaxy films structure and surface morphology. The confirmed (1210) GaN epitaxy films were characterized by PL and Raman. By the Raman scattering, the active phonon modes of single-phase GaN films are varied with the arrangement of both polarization and propagation directions of laser beam with reference to the axis in single-phase crystal films. The Y(Z, Y & Z) X geometry allows scattering pat-terns of $A_1(TO)=533\;cm^{-1},\;E_1(TO)=559\;cm^{-1}\;and\;E_2=568 cm^{-1}$ modes, whereas in the Z(Y, Y & Z) X geometry the only $E_2$ mode are observed.

A multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method was developed to simultaneously detect three varieties of genetically modified (GM) canola. The construct-specific primers were used to distinguish the following three varieties of GM canola; GT73, MS8xRF3, and T45, using multiplex PCR. The FatA (fatty acyl-ACP thioesterase) gene was used as an endogenous canola reference gene in the PCR detection. The primer pair Canendo-FIR containing a 105 bp amplicon was used to amplify the FatA gene and no amplified product was observed in any of the 15 different plants used as templates. The GT73-KHUF1/R1 primer recognized the 3'-flanking region of GT73, resulting in an amplicon of 125 bp. The Barstar-F1/MS8xRF3-R primer recognized the junction region of bars tar and the NOS terminator introduced into MS8xRF3, resulting in a 162 bp amplicon, and the T45-F2/R2 primer recognized the junction region of PAT and the 35S terminator introduced into T45, resulting in an amplicon of 186 bp. This multiplex PCR allowed for the detection of construct-specific targets in a genomic DNA mixture of up to 1% GM canola containing GT73, MS8xRF3, and T45.

Best-first heuristic search algorithm, such as $A^{\ast}$ algorithm, are one of the most important techniques used to solve many problems in artificial intelligence. A common feature of heuristic search is its high computational complexity, which prevents the search from being applied to problems is practical domains such as route-finding in road map with significantly many nodes. In this paper, several heuristic search algorithms are concerned. A new dynamic weighting heuristic method called the pat-sensitive heuristic is proposed. It is based on a dynamic weighting heuristic, which is used to improve search effort in practical domain such as admissible heuristic is not available or heuristic accuracy is poor. It's distinctive feature compared with other dynamic weighting heuristic algorithms is path-sensitive, which means that ${\omega}$(weight) is adjusted dynamically during search process in state-space search domain. For finding an optimal path, randomly scattered road-map is used as an application area.
We hypothesized that the unsaturated fatty acid palmitoleic acid (POA) could promote the expression of adipogenic/lipogenic genes in bovine skeletal muscle satellite cells (BSCs). The BSCs were cultured in a growth medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum. When the cells reached 80%-90% confluence, we used the differentiation medium with 5% horse serum for differentiation for 96 h. The differentiation medium contained 50 µM, 100 µM and 200 µM POA. Control BSC were cultured only in differentiation media. Compared with the control BSC, the POA BSC significantly up-regulated the expression of paired box 3 (Pax3) and paired box 7 (Pax7) and down-regulated myogenin gene expression (p < 0.01), which indicates a depression in muscle fiber development. However, all POA treatments up-regulated the expression of the adipocyte transcription factors peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein alpha and beta (C/EBP α and C/EBP β), and other genes (p < 0.01) and increased the expression of PAT-family proteins and the concentration of adiponectin in the media. These results indicate that POA can convert part of BSCs into adipocytes.

Background: Medically unexplained symptoms (MUSs) are common in primary care. Atpresent, there are no proven, comprehensive treatments available in primary care forpatients with MUSs. However, MUS has parallels with "subhealth" or Mibyeong from tradi-tional East-Asian medicine, and thus, Mibyeong interventions could be effective in treatingMUS. Unfortunately, studies on Mibyeong and its intervention methods are relatively rare. Methods: We administered a web-based survey to 17,279 Korean medicine (KM) practitionersregistered with the Association of Korean Medicine. The response rate was 4.9% (n = 849).Based on the responses received, we assessed how much they agreed with concepts relatedto Mibyeong on a 7-point scale from "do not agree" to "strongly agree." Respondents werealso asked to indicate how frequently they encountered various subtypes and patterns ofMibyeong, and how frequently they use listed intervention methods. Results: Data from 818 respondents were analyzed after excluding those with no clinicalexperience. On average, respondents were male general practitioners aged between 30 yearsand 49 years, working or living in metropolitan areas such as Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do. Responses did not differ by demographics. Respondents generally thought that Mibyeongreferred to subjective or borderline findings without certain disease, and that Mibyeong hasvarious subtypes and patterns. Subtypes included fatigue, pain, and digestion problems; pat-terns were either deficiencies (e.g., qi, blood, and yin deficiency) or stagnations (e.g., liver qidepression and qi stagnation). Decoction was the most frequently used type of interventionfor Mibyeong of all items listed, followed by acupuncture and moxibustion. Patient educa-tion was also recommended, suggesting healthy eating, promoting healthy environment, and exercise. Conclusion: We were able to provide preliminary results on KM practitioners' recognition ofand interventions for Mibyeong, but further research is needed to develop a detailed defi-nition of Mibyeong and its myriad subtypes and patterns, and evaluations of the efficacy ofMibyeong interventions.

In this paper, a free space optical communication device that can be used in a mobile base station of several km or less was fabricated and its characteristics were investigated. To overcome the loss due to atmospheric transmission, an optical fiber amplifier (EDFA) with an output of 23 dBm or more was used. In order to increase the focusing speed and miniaturization of the laser beam, an optical lens was manufactured, and a transmission lens was designed to have beam divergence within the range of 1.5 to 1.8 [mrad]. A PT module that controls PAN/TILT was fabricated in order to reduce pointing errors and effective automatic alignment between transceiver devices. In this study, Reed-Solomon (RS) code was used to maintain the transmission quality above a certain level. It was manufactured to be able to communicate at a wireless distance of 300m in a weather situation with visibility of 300m. For performance measurement, it was measured using BERT and eye pattern analyzer, and it was confirmed that BER can be maintained at 2.5Gbps.
This study aimed to examine the effect of external pop-up satellite archival tags (PSATs) attachment and water temperature on the oxygen consumption rate (OCR) of the olive flounder (mean body weight 2281.7 g). The OCRs of fish were measured under conditions of three different water temperature conditions (15, 20, and 25℃) and two different tagging methods [non-tagging, control; bio-logger external attachment with a miniature PSAT (dummy mrPAT), BEA] using a closed flow-through respirometer. The OCRs of fish linearly increased with the increase in water temperature in both the control and BEA (P<0.001); however, the OCRs of BEA were approximately 1.8-1.9 times lower than those of the control at each water temperature (P<0.001). The Q10 values of the control and BEA were the highest in the water temperature range of 15 to 20℃, but sensitivity to water temperature changes was higher in BEA than in the control. The metabolic energy loss rate (MEL) of fish increased with increasing water temperature regardless of external tagging, but the MEL of the control was higher than that of BEA (P<0.001). These results demonstrate that OCR, thermal sensitivity, and energy expenditure are all affected in adult olive flounder with external PSAT attachment.
To predict the tumor grading, various imaging modalities have been applied clinically. This study determines clinical usefulness of perfusion MRI, using relative cerebral blood volume in grading of the gliomas. We did a retrospective review of 17 patients (mean age, 57.5 years; 11 male, 6 female) who underwent perfusion MR and conventional MRI, and then correlated pathologically after operation. Statistical analysis of regional cerebral blood volume and relative cerebral blood volume(rCBV) was performed by using softwares such as PAT by SIEMENS and Xmap ver 2.0 developed by ourselves. Six patients out of 13 were low-grade gliomas while eleven patients were the high-grade gliomas. Mean relative CBV (m_rCBV/white matter) in the low-grade gliomas was 1.62, and mean relative CBV(m_rCBV/cortex) was 0.12. In the high-grade gliomas, mean relative CBV(m_rCBV/white matter) and mean relative CBV(m_rCBV/cortex) were 33.53 and 0.96. Mean relative CBV of gliomas were elevated with a statistical difference(P<.05), compared with contralateral white matter(P=.019) or cortex(P=.025). Furthermore mean relative CBV(m_rCBV/white matter) was much higher than mean relative CBV(m_rCBV/cortex). Perfusion MRI using regional cerebral blood volume and rCBV is very useful imaging modality for grading the glioma.

A previous study showed that krill oil improved recognition and memory through anti-oxidative effects in an amyloid β model, but the authors noted that further investigations are necessary of alterations to neurotransmitters' states and of serum lipid profile improvements related to serum lipid peroxidation. Accordingly, in this study, ICR mice were pre-treated intraperitoneally with scopolamine prior to induced neurotransmission impairment, and the effects of krill oil provision on their capabilities of cognition were tested by performing a passive avoidance test (PAT), water maze test (WMT), and novel object recognition test. Then, parameters including the acetylcholine (ACh) concentration, acetylcholinesterase activity (AChE), lipid peroxidation, serum lipid levels, and nerve cell proliferation were investigated. The results showed that krill oil improved the mice's abilities in recognition and memory as the times taken to complete the PAT and WMT were reduced compared to the mice in a comparison scopolamine-treated group. Krill oil produced an increased concentration of Ach, and this was accompanied by a decrease in AChE. As shown in a scopolamine-treated SH-SY5Y cell line, krill oil reduced the activity of AChE. Moreover, the suppression of lipid peroxidation-reflected in the finding that malondialdehyde was decreased with krill oil provision-is speculated to affect the recorded serum triglyceride and cholesterol decreases and LDL cholesterol increase. The intake of krill oil was also found to produce an improvement in brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression by stimulating the activation of cyclic AMP response element binding protein in the brain tissue. Overall, the current results imply that the provision of krill oil raises the cognition and memory by elevating neurotransmitters and by improving the serum lipid profile and nerve cell proliferation, which occur as lipid peroxidation is suppressed in the brain tissue.
