평행봉 Tichonkich 동작의 운동학적 분석 (Kinematical Analysis of Tichonkich Motion in Parallel Bars)

  • The purpose of this study is helps to make full use for perfect performance by grasping the defects of Tichonkich motion performed by athlete CSM For this, the study analyzed kinematical variables through Tichonkich motions performed at the first selection competition(1st trial) and final selection competition(2nd trial) for the dispatch to the 28th Athens Olympic Games using the three-dimensional cinematographical method with a high-speed video camera, and obtained the following results. 1. During Tichonkich motion, the execution time of up swing and the right hand moving to the left bar was shorter in the 2nd trial than the 1st one, while the execution time of down swing, the support of the left bar and the right hand moving to the right bar was longer in the 2nd trial than the 1st trial. 2. The horizontal position of COG in the 2nd trial was -35cm in the 1st stage, 42cm in the 3rd stage and 29cm in the 4th stage, that is, it showed a great swing focused on the circular movement compared to the 1st trial, while the vertical position of COG was -59cm in the 2nd stage, that is, it showed a small swing focused on a up and down movement. Also the 5th stage vertical position was 98cm, and the 6th stage vertical position was 95cm in the 2nd trial which were higher than those of the 1st trial, so it has provided magnificence required in the modern gymnastics. 3. And it was indicated that the horizontal velocity at the down swing phase proceeded forward more rapidly in the 2nd trial than that in the 1st trial, and the reverse ascent made a rapid vertical rise lessening left and right velocity change. And in the 5th stage, the 2nd trial was kept very slower in horizontal, vertical and left and right velocity that in the 1st trial, so it reached a handstand with leisurely movement. 4. In the 2nd trial, shoulder joint of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd stages kept a larger angle than that in the 1st trial, that is, it made a great swing while in the 1st trial, it showed a swing movement dependent on kick movement by the flexion and extension of hip joint. Also in the 2nd trial, the body formed a vertical posture with both hands supporting the left bar and hip joint was kept larger as $198^{\circ}$ and $190^{\circ}$ in the 5th and 6th stage than that in the 1st trial, so it made a handstand with the body uprightly stretched out, and magnificent and stable movement.

Analysis of reinforced concrete corbel beams using Strut and Tie models

  • Reinforced concrete corbel beams (span to depth ratio of a corbel is less than one) are designed with primary reinforcement bars to account for bending moment and with the secondary reinforcement placed parallel to the primary reinforcement (shear stirrups) to resist shear force. It is interesting to note that most of the available analytical procedures employ empirical formulas for the analysis of reinforced concrete corbels. In the present work, a generalized and a simple strut and tie models were employed for the analysis of reinforced corbel beams. The models were benchmarked against experimental results available in the literature. It was shown here that increase of shear stirrups increases the load carrying capacity of reinforced concrete corbel beams. The effect of horizontal load on the load carrying capacity of the corbel beams has also been examined in the present paper. It is observed from the strut and tie models that the resistance of the corbel beam subjected to combined horizontal and vertical load did not change with increase in shear stirrups if the failure of the corbel is limited by concrete crushing. In other words, the load carrying capacity was independent of the horizontal load when failure of the beam occurred due to concrete crushing.

Mo가 고크롬주철의 조직 및 경도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Mo on the Microstructure and Hardness in High Chromium Cast Irons)

  • In high chromium cast iron, the control of matrix microstructure as well as carbide structure is important to the performance as a wear resistant material. In this study, 3.0% C-24.0% Cr white cast irons with various molybdenum contents(residual, 1.0%, 3.0% and 5.0%) were solidified conventionally and unidirectionally for studying their effects on the microstructure and hardness. In the conventional casting, two sets of castings were poured from each melt. One set of the castings consisted of cylindrical bars of 10 and 20mm by 155mm long. The second set of the castings was a cylindrical bar of 30mm by 200mm long. On the other hand, a pep-set mold set on the Cu plate was employed to make the solidification unidirectionally. X-ray diffraction method was used to observe retained austenite and carbides in the high chromium cast iron. The morphology of eutectic $M_7C_3$ carbides changed from needle-like type to nodular type with the increase of Mo content. And, the presence of $M_2C$ carbides was identified in the sample where Mo was added over 3.0 %. Primary and eutectic carbides appeared as rod type and corngrain type, respectively in the unidirectionally solidified samples which were cut to parallel to the solidification direction. In the EDX analysis, Cr concentration was higher in the primary and eutectic $M_7C_3$ carbides, Mo in the $M_2C$ carbides, and Fe in the matrix.

전자빔 drip 용해횟수가 Mo 잉고트 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Number of Electron Beam Drip Melting on the Characteristics of Molybdenum ingot)

  • Molybdenum ingot of 50mm in diameter were obtained from sintered Mo bars by EB drip melting technique. Macroscopic observation of EB remelted ingot indicates that coarse and columnar grains grow in the direction parallel to ingot pulling direction. This can be explained by slow solidification (3mm/min), large temperature gradient and heat flow to this direction. The orientation of columnar structure was found to be <110>, <200> and <211> by the analysis of X-ray diffraction patterns. The contents of typical metallic impurities in Mo sintered bar are 1.2ppm Cr, 3ppm Fe, 44ppm Zr, 150ppm W. Most of metallic impurities were reduced below the order of ppm except zirconium and tungsten by the selective evaporation. In the removal of nonmetallic impurities, oxygen and carbon impurities were lowered from 120 to 6ppm and from 157 to 106ppm, respectively, after first melting. Although the purification effect was not significant with the number of remelting, Vickers hardness was reduced from 217 to 195 and 184 in sequence with increasing the number of remelting.

Force monitoring of steel cables using vision-based sensing technology: methodology and experimental verification

  • Steel cables serve as the key structural components in long-span bridges, and the force state of the steel cable is deemed to be one of the most important determinant factors representing the safety condition of bridge structures. The disadvantages of traditional cable force measurement methods have been envisaged and development of an effective alternative is still desired. In the last decade, the vision-based sensing technology has been rapidly developed and broadly applied in the field of structural health monitoring (SHM). With the aid of vision-based multi-point structural displacement measurement method, monitoring of the tensile force of the steel cable can be realized. In this paper, a novel cable force monitoring system integrated with a multi-point pattern matching algorithm is developed. The feasibility and accuracy of the developed vision-based force monitoring system has been validated by conducting the uniaxial tensile tests of steel bars, steel wire ropes, and parallel strand cables on a universal testing machine (UTM) as well as a series of moving loading experiments on a scale arch bridge model. The comparative study of the experimental outcomes indicates that the results obtained by the vision-based system are consistent with those measured by the traditional method for cable force measurement.

젊은 남성에서 평행봉 운동 중 발생한 쇄골 근위부 피로 골절 (Stress Fracture of the Proximal Clavicle after Parallel Bars Exercise in a Young Male)

  • 쇄골의 급성 골절은 비교적 흔한 골절이지만 쇄골에 발생한 피로 골절은 드물고, 쇄골 근위부의 피로 골절은 극히 드물다. 경부근치술 또는 목 주변의 방사선 조사 이후 발생한 쇄골 근위부의 피로 골절 사례들이 종종 보고되고 있으며, 전문 운동 선수에서 과도하게 반복되는 운동 중 발생한 쇄골 근위부의 피로 골절 사례들이 드물게 보고되고 있다. 저자들은 특별한 선행 요인이 없는 젊은 남성에서 평행봉 운동 중 발생한 쇄골 근위부의 피로 골절을 경험하였고 국내에서 유사한 사례가 보고된 바 없어 이를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하고자 한다.

헤어핀 보강 선설치앵커의 정적 및 지진모의실험에 의한 전단 저항강도 평가 (Shear Strength of Hairpin Reinforced Cast-In-Place Anchors by Static and Seismic Qualification Tests)

  • 본 연구에서는 비균열 및 균열콘크리트에 설치된 헤어핀 보강 선설치앵커의 정적 및 동적 저항강도 평가를 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 앵커 직경 30mm, 연단거리 150mm, 매입깊이 240mm에 D10 헤어핀 철근으로 보강한 시험체를 제작하였으며, 균열시험체는 전단하중에 직각방향과 평행방향 균열을 각각 고려하였다. 동적 강도 평가는 지진모의실험에 의하였으며 가력방법은 ACI 355.2의 기준을 적용하였다. 헤어핀 보강 앵커의 저항강도는 콘크리트 균열과는 상관성이 없었으며 동적 강도는 정적 강도와 동등한 수준을 보였다. 마지막으로 헤어핀 보강 앵커의 설계 강도에 대한 고찰을 제시하였다.

Wear, microleakage and plastic deformation of an implant-supported chair-side bar system

  • PURPOSE. This in-vitro study was designed to evaluate retention forces, microleakage and plastic deformation of a prefabricated 2-implant bar attachment system (SFI-Bar, Cendres+$M{\acute{e}}taux$, Switzerland). MATERIALS AND METHODS. Two SFI implant-adapters were torqued with 35 Ncm into two implant analogues. Before the tube bars were finally sealed, the inner cavity of the tube bar was filled with liquid red dye to evaluate microleakage. As tube bar sealing agents three different materials were used (AGC Cem (AGC, resin based), Cervitec Plus (CP; varnish) and Gapseal (GS; silicone based). Four groups with eight specimens each were tested (GS, GS+AGC, AGC, CP). For cyclic loading, the attachment system was assembled parallel to the female counterparts in a chewing simulator. The mean retention forces of the initial and final ten cycles were statistically evaluated (ANOVA, ${\alpha}{\leq}.05$). RESULTS. All groups showed a significant loss of retention forces. Their means differed between 30-39 N initially and 22-28 N after 50,000 loading cycles. No significant statistical differences could be found between the groups at the beginning (P=.224), at the end (P=.257) or between the loss of retention forces (P=.288). Microleakage occurred initially only in some groups but after 10,000 loading cycles all groups exhibited microleakage. CONCLUSION. Long-term retention forces of the SFI-Bar remained above 20 N which can be considered clinically sufficient. The sealing agents in this study are not suitable to prevent microleakage.

평행봉 Basket to Handstand 기술 훈련 프로그램 적용을 통한 향상도 평가 (Improving Evaluation of the Basket-to-Handstand Mount by a Technical Training Program on Parallel Bars)

  • 본 연구는 Basket to hdst. 기술에 대한 훈련 프로그램을 적응하고 프로그램 전과 후의 차이를 3차원 영상분석법을 사용하여 운동학적으로 비교 분석하여 과학적인 자료를 제시함으로써 기술 동작의 향상도를 규명하고자 실시하였으며, 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. Basket to hdst. 동작에서 P1 하강 스윙 시, 신체중심을 후방에 두면서 고관절을 빠르게 굴곡 시켜주고, 견관절각은 최대한 일정하게 유지하도록 지도하여야 하며, 적용 결과 다소 향상된 것으로 나타났다. P2에서는 신체중심이 전방으로 향하지 않도록 하고 빠른 상하 속도를 유도하여 수직 상승으로 이어질 수 있도록 하며 Tap swing의 탄력을 최대한 이용하여 견관절과 고관절을 빠르게 신전시켜 주어야 하는 것으로 나타났다. P3에서는 안정된 공중 동작을 위해 수직 속도를 증가시키는 것이 중요하며, 양 손이 평행봉을 다시 잡을 때, 견관절과 고관절을 신전시켜 물구나무서기에 가까운 자세로 동작을 마무리해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 위해서는 지도자가 보조하여 수직 상승 할 수 있도록 지도하는 것이 중요하다.

전열화학추진용 2.4MJ 펄스파워전원의 설계와 동작특성(I) (Design and Operation Characteristics of 2.4MJ Pulse Power System for Electrothermal-Chemical(ETC) Propulsion(I))

  • As a drive for an ETC (Electro-thermal Chemical) launcher, a large pulse power system of a 2.4MJ energy storage was designed, constructed and tested. The overall power system consists of eight capacitive 300kJ energy storage banks. In this paper we describe the design features, setup and operation test result of the 300kJ pulsed power module. Each capacitor bank of the 300kJ module consists of six 22kV 50kJ capacitors. A triggered vacuum switch (TVS-43) was adopted as the main pulse switch. Crowbar diode circuits, variable multi-tap inductors and energy dumping systems are connected to each high power capacitor bank via bus-bars and coaxial cables. A parallel crowbar diode stack is fabricated in coaxial structure with two series 13.5kV, 60kA avalanche diodes. The main design parameters of the 300kJ module are a maximum current of 180kA and a pulse width of 0.5 - 3ms. The electrical performances of each component and current output variations into resistive loads have been investigated.
