The Crystal and Molecular Structure of Fenothiocarb, $C_{13}H_{19}NO_2S$. (Fenothiocarb, $C_{13}H_{19}NO_2S$의 결정 및 분자구조)

  • The crystal structure of fenothiocarb(S-4-phenoxybutyl dimethylthiocarbamate), C13H19NO2S is monoclinic, space group P21/c, a=9.045(1)Å, b=14.577(2)Å, c=10.727(2)Å, β=103.56(1)°, Z=4, V=1375.20(6)Å3, Dc=1.23g/cm3, λ(Mo-Kα)=0.71069Å, μ=2.3cm-1, F(000)=544, temperature : 293±3K, R=0.049 for 1543 unique observed reflections. The structure was determined by direct method and refined by full-matrix least squares method. The molecules are contacted to the c axis with two fold screw and van der Waales force.

Changes in Heavy Metals and Vitamin C Content during the Storage of Canned and Bottled Orange Juices (캔 및 병 오렌지쥬스의 저장중 중금속과 비타민 C 함량의 변화)

  • The effect of storage temperature and period on the contents of tin, iron, lead and vitamin C, browning index and pH was studied for canned and bottled orange juices currently sold in Korean market, which were stored for 24 weeks at 20, 30, 40 and $50^{\circ}C$ and analyzed at 4 week intervals. The change of metal content in bottled juices was negligible but metal release in canned juices was remarkably affected by storage temperature. Tin content after 16 weeks increased by $2.7{\sim}13.1$ times, iron content after 24 weeks increased by $4.3{\sim}5.2$ times and lead content after 24 weeks increased by $1.1{\sim}2.9$ times. Retention of total ascorbic acid in canned juices after 24 weeks at $30{\sim}50^{\circ}$ decreased to $13{\sim}76%$, while that in bottled juices decreased to $4{\sim}80%$. Browning index in canned juices after 24 weeks below $40^{\circ}C$ increased slightly with serious discoloration at $50^{\circ}C$ while that in bottled juices increased a little rapid. pH change in canned and bottled juices during storage below $40^{\circ}C$ was not observed regardless of container type but a great change of pH was accompanied with swelling of container ends in the case of canned juices after 24 weeks at $50^{\circ}C$.

  • 무전해 Ni-P와 Sn의 반응 및 Ni-P의 결정화에 대한 P 함량의 영향을 세 가지 다른 조성의 Ni-P (P 4.6, 9, 13 $wt.\%$)를 이용하여 연구하였다. $300^{\circ}C$까지 열처리한 모든 시편에서 $Ni_3Sn_4$ intermetallic compound (IMC)가 생성되었고 이들 시편을 $450^{\circ}C$까지 열처리한 경우 Sn 두께가 $0.5{\mu}m$로 작을 때 $Ni_3Sn_4$가 모두 $Ni_3Sn_2$로 변화하였다. nanocrystal인 Ni-4.6P는 Ni (111) texture를 유지하며 결정화되었고 Sn과의 반응시 형성되는 $Ni_3Sn_4$ IMC 또한 비정질인 Ni-9P, Ni-13P 경우보다 강한 (111) texture를 가짐이 확인되었다. Ni-P 막의 P 함량이 작은 경우 $Ni_3Sn_4$ IMC는 두껍고 조밀하게 형성되는 반면 P-rich layer 두께는 작아졌다.

  • In this paper, we construct a new exotic smooth 4-manifold X which is homeomorphic, but not diffeomorphic, to ${\mathbb{C}}\mathbb{P}^2{\sharp}13\overline{\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}}^2$. Moreover the manifold X has vanishing Seiberg-Witten invariants for all $Spin^c$-structures of X and has no symplectic structure.

  • Production of inulo-oligosaccharides from inulin was carried out with the maximum yield of 94% using a purified endoinulinase from Aspergillus ficcum. The optimum reaction temperature and pH were 55-60$^{\circ}C$ and pH 5.5-6.0, respectively. The Michaelis constant and maximum reaction velocity of the endoinuinase for inulin were 13.27 g/L and 0.13 g/L$.$min at 55$^{\circ}C$, pH 5.5, respectively. Inulin source had no significant effect on oligosaccharide yield and product composition, although initial production rate differed according to inulin origins. The reaction pH was a critical factor in inulo-oligosaccharide production because considerable free monosaccharides were released, decreasing oligosaccharide yield at low pH conditions. An empirical relationship describing the reaction performance was developed from kinetic data: the time to reach maximum oligosaccharide yield (tw) as a function of initial concentration of inulin (lo) and enzyme (Eo); i.e., log tM = -1.025 log Eo - 0.011 l0 + 2.655.

Characterization of a pH/Temperature-Sensitive Hydrogel Synthesized at Different pH and Temperature Conditions (pH/온도-동시 민감성 Hydrogel의 합성조건에 따른 특성 연구)

  • A hydrogel, poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-N, N-dimethylaminopropylmethacrylamide), sensitive to both pH and temperature, was synthesized and characterized at $^13∼23{\circ}C$ and pH of 10.3∼12.3. The gel was more transparent and mechanically stronger at lower preparation temperature and pH. Large pores observed in scanning electron microscope seem to be responsible for the lower biomolecular separation efficiency. The lower critical solution temperature (LCST) decreased at a higher polymerization temperature. At $25^{\circ}C$, which is lower than the LCST, the gel was swollen regardless of the solution pH. At $40^{\circ}C$, however, the gel was swollen at neutral and acidic pHs even though the temperature was higher than the LCST. The gel collapse pH, defined as the point at which the gel made its largest volume decrease per unit pH increment, increased as the gel preparation temperature increased.

  • This paper presents the validities of the removal time of side forms considering the relationship between rebound number of P type schmidt hammer and compressive strength. According to test results, compressive strength of 40% of W/C at 12 hours shows 16kgf/$cm^{2}$ and 50% of W/C at 15 hours, 13kgf/$cm^{2}$. Rebound number at 9 hours after casting shows 13 and 9 (W/C 40% and W/C 50%). According to the regression analysis, rebound number of P type schmidt hammer to gain 50kgf/$cm^{2}$ of is estimated 20.1. It is thought that desirable rebound number of P type schmidt hammer to gain 50kgf/$cm^{2}$ is determined 25 considering safety factor.

  • The divergent synthesis of novel phosphorus-containing dendrimer with 4,4'-sulphonyldiphenol at the core has been accomplished involving simple condensation reactions using $P(O)Cl_3$, $P(S)Cl_3$, 3-amino-phenol, 3-hydroxy-benzaldehyde, and 2-butyn 1, 4-diol. The final compound was a Schiff's base macromolecule possessing 4 imine bonds, 8 acetylenic bonds and 8 OH groups at the periphery. The structures of intermediate compounds were confirmed by IR, NMR ($^1H$, $^{13}C$ and $^{31}P$), LC-Mass and C, H, N analysis. The structure of the final dendrimer (5) was confirmed by IR, NMR ($^1H$, $^{13}C$ and $^{31}P$), MALDI-TOF-MS, and C, H, N analysis. The surface morphological characteristics of the final dendrimer were understood by Scanning Electronic Microscopic study (SEM). The thermal stability of the final dendrimer was studied by TGA/DTA analysis.

  • In a super-peer based P2P network, The network is clustered and each cluster is managed by a special peer, called a super-peer which has information of all peers in its cluster. This clustered P2P model is known to have efficient information search and less traffic load. In this paper, we first estimate the message traffic cost caused by peer's query, join and update actions within a cluster as well as between the clusters and with these values, we present the optimal number of super-peers that minimizes the traffic cost for the various size of super-peer based P2P networks.rks.

  • This paper examines the effects of fundamental variables on stock returns. Therefore, the major purpose of this study is to identify fundamental variables having a systematical effect on the stock return. The paper uses panel data analysis. We find that the results of regressions say that firm size, book-to-market ratio(B/M), earning-to-price ratio(E/P), cash flow-to-price ratio(C/P) can explain the differences in average returns across stocks.
