부산시내 종합병원의 임상 검체에서 분리된 Extended -Spectrum $\beta$-Lactamase 생성 Klebsiella pneumoniae의 형별 분류 (Extended-Spectrum $\beta$-Lactamase (ESBL) Typing of Klebsiella pneumoniae Isolated from Clinical Specimen in Pusan)

  • 본 연구는 등전점과 PCR 생성물을 통하여 광범위 $\beta$-Lactamase(ESBL) 를 생성하는 Klebsiella pneumoniae의 ESBL 유형을 결정하였다. 부산시내 소재 3개 종합병원의 임상검체로부터 20균주의 ESBL 을생성하는 Klebsiella pneumoniae를 분리하였다. 제 3세대 cephalosporin인 cefotaime, cef-tazidime, ceftriaxone으로 double disk synergy test를 시행하여 ESBL 생성균주를 확인하였다. 등전점 및 PCR결과 TEM 형 (pI 5.2~6.0, 1080 bp), TEM+SHV 혼합형(pI 5.2~6.0 및 pI 7.0~7.4 로 1080 bp, 599bp), SHV형 (pI 7.0~ 7.4, 599 bp) , 그리고 PCR결과는 SHV형으로 나타났으나 등전점을 나타내지 않는 것과 등전점 및 PCR 결과 어느 쪽에도 속하지 않는 non TEM non SHV 형 등 5개군으로 나뉘어 졌다.

Ductile Fracture Behavior of AS4P Under Mixed Mode (I/II) Loading

  • The aim of this study is to investigate the ductile fracture behavior under mixed mode (I/II) loading using SA533B pressure vessel steel. Anti-symmetric 4-point (AS4P) bending tests were performed to obtain the J-R curves under two different mixed mode (I/II) loadings. In addition, finite element analysis using Rousselier Ductile Damage Theory was carried out to predict the J-R curves under mixed mode (I/II) loadings. In conclusions, the J-R curves under. Mixed Mode (I/II) loading were located between those of Mode I and Mode II loading. When the mixity of mixed mode (I/II) loading was high, the J-R curve of mixed mode (I/II) loading approached that of pure mode I loading after some amount of crack propagation. In contrast with the above fact, if the mixity was low, the J-R curve took after that of pure mode II loading. Finally, it was found that the predicted J-R curves made a good agreement with the test data through the tuning procedures of $\beta$ values at the different mixed mode (I/II) loading.

간호사의 성격유형, 자기효능감과 임상수행능력 간의 관계 (Personality Types of Nurses and the Relation between Self-Efficacy and Clinical Performance Ability)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 간호사의 DISC성격유형, 자기효능감, 임상수행능력사이의 관계를 규명하기 위함이다. 자료는 K시의 5개 병원에 근무하는 302명의 간호사로부터 수집하였다. 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관관계 분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 자기효능감과 임상수행능력은 D형이 I형과 S형보다 더 높음을 나타냈다. 임상수행능력의 하위 영역에서는 간호과정, 간호기술, 전문직발전에서 D유형이 S유형보다 높았고, 자기효능감에서도 D유형이 I유형과 S유형보다 높았다. DISC 유형별 자기효능감과 임상수행능력은 I 유형 (r = .66, p<.01), S 유형 (r = .60, p<. 01), D유형(r =.56, p<.01), C 유형 (r = .52, p<.01)으로 양의 상관관계를 나타냈다. D유형에서 대인관계/의사소통이 가장 낮은 상관관계를 보였으며, I유형과 S유형에서는 교육/협력관계가 가장 낮았다. C유형에서는 간호기술이 가장 높고, 간호과정이 가장 낮았다. 본 연구결과를 특성별 교육 프로그램이나 간호사 부서 배치에 활용한다면 효과적인 업무수행 결과를 가져올 수 있으리라 사료된다.

Pig Skin Gelatin Hydrolysates Attenuate Acetylcholine Esterase Activity and Scopolamine-induced Impairment of Memory and Learning Ability of Mice

  • The protective effect of pig skin gelatin water extracts (PSW) and the low molecular weight hydrolysates of PSW generated via enzymatic hydrolysis with Flavourzyme® 1000L (LPSW) against scopolamine-induced impairment of cognitive function in mice was determined. Seventy male ICR mice weighing 20-25 g were randomly assigned to seven groups: Control (CON); scopolamine (SCO, 1 mg/kg B.W., intraperitoneally (i.p.); tetrahydroaminoacridine 10 [THA 10, tacrine; 10 mg/kg B.W. per oral (p.o.) with SCO (i.p.)]; PSW 10 (10 mg/kg B.W. (p.o.) with SCO (i.p.); PSW 40 (40 mg/kg B.W. (p.o.) with SCO (i.p.); LPSW 100 (100 mg/kg B.W. (p.o.) with SCO (i.p.); LPSW 400 (400 mg/kg B.W. (p.o.) with SCO (i.p.). All treatment groups, except CON, received scopolamine on the day of the experiment. The oxygen radical absorbance capacity of LPSW 400 at 1 mg/mL was 154.14 μM Trolox equivalent. Administration of PSW and LPSW for 15 weeks did not significantly affect on physical performance of mice. LPSW 400 significantly increased spontaneous alternation, reaching the level observed for THA and CON. The latency time of animals receiving LPSW 400 was higher than that of mice treated with SCO alone in the passive avoidance test, whereas it was shorter in the water maze test. LPSW 400 increased acetylcholine (ACh) content and decreased ACh esterase activity (p<0.05). LPSW 100 and LPSW 400 reduced monoamine oxidase-B activity. These results indicated that LPSW at 400 mg/kg B.W. is a potentially strong antioxidant and contains novel components for the functional food industry.

다중의약품에 저항하는 Staphylococcus aureus 균에 항균성을 가지는 파라-히드록시벤조히드라자이드 유도체의 합성과 구조-활성관계 3차원 정량분석 (Synthesis and 3D-QSAR of p-Hydroxybenzohydrazide Derivatives With Antimicrobial Activity Against Multidrug-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus)

  • 40여년전에 보고된 이래 병원에서 유래한 메치실린-저항 Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) 은 세계적으로 큰 문제가 되어왔다. 항균성의 가능성을 가지는 새로운 약품을 개발하기 위하여 N'-[(-3-substituted-4-oxo-1,3-thiazolidin-2-ylidene]-4-hydroxy benzohydrazide (4a-4.i)와 N'-[-(3,4-disubstituted)-1,3-thiazolidin-2ylidene)]-4-hydroxybenzohydrazide (5.a-5.i)~(10.a-10.i)을 적절한 합성방법을 사용하여 합성하였다. 이들 합성된 화합물들은 s. aureus 균주에 대해 생체외 조건에서 분석하였다. 시료 화합물과 표준 화합물에 대해 최소억제농도(MIC)를 결정하였다. 시험한 모든 화합물들은 2000 ${\mu}g$/mL 투여량까지는 독성이 없었고, 사용한 균주에 대해 상당한 항균성을 보였다. 특히 6.f, 7.g, 9.f 와 10.f, 10 i 들이 가장 항균성이 컸다. 이것으로 미루어 파라-히드록시벤조히드라자이드 고리와 치환된 싸이아졸린 고리는 항균성에 필수적임을 알 수 있었다. 3D-QSAR 분석결과로 파라-히드록시벤조히드라자이드의 활성자리에 대한 결합방식을 알게되었다.

체중이동 운동이 뇌졸중 환자의 다리 Global Synkinesis와 보행에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Weight Shift Exercises on Leg Global Synkinesis and Gait in Patients with Stroke)

  • PURPOSE: This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing the improvement of global synkinesis (GS) and gait in stroke patients by the weight shift exercise. METHODS: Twenty stroke patients were randomly assigned to experimental group I (n = 10) and experimental group II (n = 10). In experimental group I, weight shift with upper extremity exercises in a standing position were mediated and in experimental group II, upper extremity exercises in a standing position were mediated. These interventions were conducted in both groups for three sessions per week, 30 minutes per session over four weeks. Before the interventions, leg GS was measured using surface electromyography and the 10m walk test (10MWT). The same parameters were measured four weeks later. RESULTS: The GS and 10MWT of the experimental group I showed that there was a statistically significant difference between dorsiflexion (p < .05) and plantarflexion (p < .01) and 10MWT (p < .01). In experimental group II, there was a statistically significant difference only in 10MWT (p < .01). The comparison between the changes in both groups showed that in the case of GS, there was a statistically significant difference in the dorsiflexion (p < .01) and plantarflexion (p < .05), and in the 10MWT too (p < .05). CONCLUSION: GS of the lower extremities was decreased by improving posture control and enlarging soft tissues due to the symmetrical weight shift in experimental group I, which turned out to be effective in improving the gait speed.

음절내 음소 출현 위치에 따른 한국어 양순 파열음의 공기역학적인 특징 (Aerodynamic Characteristics of Korean Bilabial Stop Consonant as a Function of Phonemic Position in a Syllable)

  • Aerodynamic analysis study was performed on 14 normal subjects (2 males, 12 females) with nonsense syllables composed of Korean bilabial stops (/p, p', $p^{h}$) and their preceding and/or following vowels, /i, a, u/. That is, [pi, p'i, $p^{h}i$, pa, p'a, $p^{h}a$, pu, p'u, $p^{h}u$, ipi, apa, upu, $ip^{h}i$, $ap^{h}a$, $up^{h}u$, ip'i, ap'a, up'u]. All measures were taken and analysed using Aerophone II voice function analyzer and included peak air pressure, mean air pressure, maximum flow rate, volume, mean SPL and phonatory SPL. A t-test and one-way ANOVA were employed for analysis. A post-hoc analysis was performed with Scheffe and Bonferroni. The results were as follows: First, MSPL. and MAP of /p, p', $p^{h}$/ were significantly different in different positions (initial and medial position). In addition, different vowel environment also produced significantly different aerodynamic characteristics those consonants. Especially the lax consonant /p/ was significantly different /i, a, u/ vowel environments. The tense consonant /p'/ was significantly different only /i/ vowel environment.

소화에 관한 체질별 상관성 연구 (A Correlation Research of Digestion According to Sasang Constitution)

  • Objectives This paper was designed for studying the features of digestion according to Sasang Constitution and to be helpful to make a diagnosis Sasang Constitution. Using the result of this study, it will be helpful to diagnose a Sasang constitution. Methods There were 588 patients(248 men, 340 women) who answered questionnaire and were diagnosed by the Sasang Constitution Specialist at Constitutional Clinic of Dongguk Bundang Oriental Hospital. Using the response of questionnaire and several statistical techniques such as homogeneity test and multiple comparison, we tried to find the characteristics of each constitution depending on its dining behavior. Results As a result of the analysis of questionnaire, Taeumin and Soyangin answered to 'Because digestion is well, I overeat frequently' many more than Soeumin(p<0.01). Soeumin answered to 'When I eat cold food or greasy food, it hardly digests' many more than Taeumin(p<0.05). Soeumin and Taeyangin answered to 'Because I have indigestion, I have suffered from infancy' many more than Taeumin(p<0.01). Soeumin answered to 'I have easily a digestive upset' many more than Taeumin(p<0.01). Soeumin answered to 'indigestion in case of paying attention' many more than Taeumin and Soyangin(p<0.01).

Accuracy of intraoral scans of edentulous jaws with different generations of intraoral scanners compared to laboratory scans

  • PURPOSE. Purpose of this in vitro study was to determine the accuracy of different intraoral scans versus laboratory scans of impressions and casts for the digitization of an edentulous maxilla. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A PEEK model of an edentulous maxilla, featuring four hemispheres on the alveolar ridges in region 13, 17, 23 and 27, was industrially digitized to obtain a reference dataset (REF). Intraoral scans using Cerec Primescan AC (PRI) and Cerec AC Omnicam (OMN), as well as conventional impressions (scannable polyvinyl siloxane) were carried out (n = 25). Conventional impressions (E5I) and referring plaster casts were scanned with the inEOS X5 (E5M). All datasets were exported in STL and analyzed (Geomagic Qualify). Linear and angular differences were evaluated by virtually constructed measurement points in the centers of the hemispheres (P13, P17, P23, P27) and lines between the points (P17-P13, P17-P23, P17-P27). Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and Shapiro-Wilk test were performed to test for normal distribution, Kruskal-Wallis-H test, and Mann-Whitney-U test to detect significant differences in trueness, followed by 2-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to detect significant differences in precision (P < .008). RESULTS. Group PRI showed the highest trueness in linear and angular parameters (P < .001), while group E5I showed the highest precision (P < .001). CONCLUSION. Intraoral scan data obtained using Primescan showed the highest trueness while the indirect digitization of impressions showed the highest precision. To enhance the workflow, indirect digitization of the impression itself appears to be a reasonable technique, as it combines fast access to the digital workflow with the possibility of functional impression of mucosal areas.
