The characteristics of the P(VDF-TrFE) acoustic microscope transducer were evaluated theoretically and experimentally by comparison with those of the PVDF and the ZnO acoustic microscope transducers. It was found that its insertion loss was about 5dB lower than that of the PVDF and about 13$\textbf{dB}$ higher than that of the ZnO. And its relative bandwidth was 20% which could produce the effective acoustic pulse waves having about 4 periods duration into water. Another finding was that the effective horizontal focusing resolution and the focal depth were $120\mu m and $1.5mm$, respectively.
Using computer simulated irregular waves, variations of ocean wave statistics according to sea state are analyzed, and the reasonable conditions that transform the energy spectrum to individual wave statistics are discussed. Ocean wave statistics varying with sea state are found to respond linearly to the spectral peakedness parameter $Q_p$ and spectrum moments $m_n$ (n = 0, 1, 2${\cdots}{\cdots}\;\infty$ ). It is clarified that the 2nd-order spectrum moment is a reasonable parameter which represents the wave statistics including wave periods, and that the spectrum analysis should be carried out under the conditions of minimum data length of 10 times of peak period $T_p$ with time lag of $7T_p$ to satisfy the stable condition of wave statistics.

In recently site investigations, the need for the determination of dynamic soil properties such as dynamic modules of rigidity, elasticity, dynamic poison's ratio and damping ratio etc. is increasing for the astigmatic designs of the civil structures. To obtain some of the dynamic properties, measurement of elastic waves velocity, both P and S wave, is required. Among various methods to measure elastic wave velocity such and Down Hole, Cross Hole and Refraction etc., Suspension P.S. Logging has an advantage to use for the off-shore investigation where generation of the shock wave and traveling of the wave is difficult. In suspension P.S. logging, specially designed prove equipped with source of shock wave, two 3-channel receivers, departing 1m distance, and other auxiliary facilities is inserted down in a bore hole bottom and raised in predetermined interval, usually 1m or 2m, and measurement is conducted. P.S. logging have been conducted in a off-shore construction project near InChon in the west coast for the first in the country, and form the result, potential of the liquefaction of the subsoil was evaluated and compared with the conventional method.
This study was carried out to elucidate the excitatory mechanisms of Substance P in the antral circular muscle, using isometric contraction recording, conventional microelectrode method and whole-cell patch clamp technique. Substance P produced tonic and phasic contractions in a dose-dependent manner and depolarized membrane potential with increased amplitude of slow waves in muscle strips. Voltage-dependent $Ca^{2+}$ currents were increased by the application of Substance P from a holding potential of -60mV to 50mV in 10mV steps and this effect was blocked by the addition of an antagonist. Also Substance P increased transient and spontaneous oscillatory $K^+$ outward currents. The enhanced outward currents were abolished by apamin in dispersed single cells. These results suggest that the depolarization of membrane potential by Substance P activates voltage-dependent $Ca^{2+}$ channels, which represents an excitatory response in the antral circular muscle and led to an increase in $Ca^{2+}\;activated\;K^+\;currents$.

In this paper, the SH mode of elastic surface waves which are used for delay lines of elastic surface wave is the cretically analysed. It is shown that the SH mode has very large electromechanical coupling factor and propagates on the surface with very small decaying coefficient into the medium. In the case of P2T-4, the depth cf piezoelectric medium that contains 80% of energy is 190 wavelengths. An elastic surface wave delay line is discussed from the view point of 2-port network. Center frequency is shifted by the ratio of transducer electrode width to gap between transducer ellcerodes when electromechanical coupling factor is large. Tempera _ore coefficients for bulk waves of LiNbO3 and LiTaO3 are also calculated and the minimum temperature coefficient value of delay time is 5.4X 10-6/$^{\circ}C$ ia the case of transverse wave propagating along Z axis on LiTaO3. Experimental data are in good agreement with theoretical values of the temperature coefficients of delay time for elastic surface waves propagating along X axis of 130$^{\circ}$ and 64$^{\circ}$ rotated Y cut planes of the LiNbO3.

Wave drift forces which are small in magnitudes compared to the first order wave exciting forces can cause very large motion of a vessel in waves. In this paper a theoretical and experimental analysis is made of the mean and slowly varying wave dirft forces on the semi-submersible platform. Theoretical calculations are performed by using near field method with three dimensional diffraction theory and model tests are carried out in regular and irregular waves with a 1/60 semi model. Test results are compared with theoretical calculations and the mooring spring effects in the test are discussed.
Love wave and Rayleigh wave are the major elastic waves belonging to the category of the surface wave. Those waves are used to determine the ground stiffness profile using their dispersion characteristics. The fact that Love wave is not contaminated by P-wave makes Love wave superior to Rayleigh wave and other body waves. Therefore, the information that Love wave carries is more distinct and clearer than that of others. Based on theoretical research, the joint inversion analysis that uses the dispersion information of both Love and Rayleigh wave was proposed. Numerical analysis, theoretical model test, and field test were performed to verify the joint inversion analysis. Results from 2D, 3D finite element analysis were compared with those from the transfer matrix method in the numerical analysis. On the other hand, the difference of results from each inversion analysis was investigated in the theoretical model analysis. Finally, practical applicability of the joint inversion analysis was verified by performing field test. As a result, it is confirmed that considering dispersion information of each wave simultaneously prevents excessive divergence and improves accuracy.
Fault current is flowed into 154/23kV M. Tr when line-to-ground fault occurs in power system. NGR(Neutral Grounded Reactor) is set up in order to prevent M.Tr fault by limiting magnitude of fault currents. Here, disconnection of NGR causes voltage increase by L-C resonance and line-to-ground fault in an unearthed system results in voltage increase at healthy phases. So Over Voltage Ground Relay(OVGR) is used for tripping M.Tr. Also, buses at second phases of M.Trs are all connected with section circuit breakers closed for the purpose of parallel operation and load shedding. In case of speciality buses are comprised of power cable in part for GIS connection. When no-load charged cable or bus is open by a section CB, unbalanced voltage charged on the bus is induced. Also discrepant opening time for circuit breakers on different phases gives rise to unbalanced zero sequence voltage. It was observed that this zero sequence voltage detected in the 22.9kV P.T (Potential Transformer for bus) mal-operated 59GT and tripped M.Tr. The zero sequence voltage of which vanishing time is longer than relay operating time came out by EMTDC simulation. Also, it was shown that the voltage waves of actual test are similar to those of simulation. On the basis of above results, R-C circuit complement on the relay without any effect on a power system made operating time of the relay longer than vanishing time of distorted waves. Consequently, operating time of the relay was delayed and magnitude of distorted waves was decreased by increasing time constant of the relay.
The title complex, Ir(H)(CO)(PEt3)2(η 2-C60) (2), has been prepared by the reaction of excess C60 (4 equiv) with a tetrairidium complex Ir4(CO)8(PEt3)4 (1) in refluxing chlorobenzene in 40% yield as green crystals. Compound 2 has been characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV), spectroscopic methods (mass, IR, 1H and 31P NMR), and a single crystal X-ray diffraction study. The molecular structure reveals that the iridium atom of 2 is coordinated by two axial ligands of a hydrogen atom and a carbonyl group, and three equatorial ligands of two phosphorus atoms and an η 2-C60 moiety. The CV study exhibits three reversible one-electron redox waves for the successive reductions of 2, together with additional four redox waves due to free C60 reductions, which was formed by decomposition of 2 in the reduced states. The three reversible redox waves of 2 are shifted to more negative potentials by ca. 270 mV compared to free C60, reflecting both metal-to-C60 π-back-donation and the electron-donating nature of the two phosphorus ligands.

We report on development of a ground-based bi-axial Search-Coil Magnetometer (SCM) designed to measure time-varying magnetic fields associated with magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling processes. The instrument provides two-axis magnetic field wave vector data in the Ultra Low Frequency or ULF (1 mHz to 5 Hz) range. ULF waves are well known to play an important role in energy transport and loss in geospace. The SCM will primarily be used to observe generation and propagation of the subclass of ULF waves. The analog signals produced by the search-coil magnetic sensors are amplified and filtered over a specified frequency range via electronics. Data acquisition system digitizes data at 10 samples/s rate with 16-bit resolution. Test results show that the resolution of the magnetometer reaches $0.1pT/{\sqrt{Hz}}$ at 1 Hz, and demonstrate its satisfactory performance, detecting geomagnetic pulsations. This instrument is scheduled to be installed at the Korean Antarctic station, Jang Bogo, in the austral summer 2016-2017.
