The best part of graphene is - charge-carriers in it are mass less particles which move in near relativistic speeds. Comparing to other materials, electrons in graphene travel much faster - at speeds of $10^8cm/s$. A graphene sheet is pure enough to ensure that electrons can travel a fair distance before colliding. Electronic devices few nanometers long that would be able to transmit charge at breath taking speeds for a fraction of power compared to present day CMOS transistors. Many researches try to check a possibility to make it a perfect replacement for silicon based devices. Graphene has shown high potential to be used as interconnects in the field of high frequency electrical devices. With all those advantages of graphene, we demonstrate characteristics of electrical and optical properties of graphene such as the effect of graphene geometry on the microwave properties using the measurements of S-parameter in range of 500 MHz - 40 GHz at room temperature condition. We confirm that impedance and resistance decrease with increasing the number of graphene layer and w/L ratio. This result shows proper geometry of graphene to be used as high frequency interconnects. This study also presents the optical properties of graphene oxide (GO), which were deposited in different substrate, or influenced by oxygen plasma, were confirmed using different characterization techniques. 4-6 layers of the polycrystalline GO layers, which were confirmed by High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and electron diffraction analysis, were shown short range order of crystallization by the substrate as well as interlayer effect with an increase in interplanar spacing, which can be attributed to the presence of oxygen functional groups on its layers. X-ray photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman spectroscopy confirms the presence of the $sp^2$ and $sp^3$ hybridization due to the disordered crystal structures of the carbon atoms results from oxidation, and Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and XPS analysis shows the changes in oxygen functional groups with nature of substrate. Moreover, the photoluminescent (PL) peak emission wavelength varies with substrate and the broad energy level distribution produces excitation dependent PL emission in a broad wavelength ranging from 400 to 650 nm. The structural and optical properties of oxygen plasma treated GO films for possible optoelectronic applications were also investigated using various characterization techniques. HRTEM and electron diffraction analysis confirmed that the oxygen plasma treatment results short range order crystallization in GO films with an increase in interplanar spacing, which can be attributed to the presence of oxygen functional groups. In addition, Electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and Raman spectroscopy confirms the presence of the $sp^2$ and $sp^3$ hybridization due to the disordered crystal structures of the carbon atoms results from oxidation and XPS analysis shows that epoxy pairs convert to more stable C=O and O-C=O groups with oxygen plasma treatment. The broad energy level distribution resulting from the broad size distribution of the $sp^2$ clusters produces excitation dependent PL emission in a broad wavelength range from 400 to 650 nm. Our results suggest that substrate influenced, or oxygen treatment GO has higher potential for future optoelectronic devices by its various optical properties and visible PL emission.

Optical, electrical and structural properties of VOx/ZnO/VOx thin film are studied. The VOx/ZnO/VOx multilayer is deposited by using a radio frequency (RF) sputtering system. The VOx/ZnO/VOx thin film shows the high temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of $-3.12%/^{\circ}C$ and the low sheet resistance of about 80 $k{\Omega}/sq$ at room temperature. The responsivity and detectivity of the bolometer are measured as a function of modulation frequency.

We report on synthesis of large-area MoS2 using chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Relatively uniform MoS2 are obtained. To fabricate field-effect transistor (FET) devices, MoS2 films are transferred to another SiO2/Si substrate using polystyrene (PS) and patterned using oxygen plasma. In addition, to reduce contact resistance, synthesis of graphene used as channel. Device characteristics are presented and compared with the reported results.

The effects on the formation of anodic oxide films on Mg-Al alloy (AZ91) in 1M-NaOH solution was investigated using parameters of current density and time during anodizing The general tendency has been confirmed that the increase of anodizing time improves the corrosion resistance. It is considered that the formation of anodic oxide film was increased by increasing the applied current and the anodizing time to generate active dissolution reaction In anodizing at constant current density. passivity potentials shifted to noble direction with increasing current densities. It was confirmed that oxygen quantify in anodic oxide films increased with anodizing time. The compact films above 4 $mA/cm^2$ were formed with the shape of an island in grooves at early stage and then grew with combination of the islands

Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) is a representative hydrophilic and water-soluble polymer and widely employed in various applications such as fibers for clothes and industries, films, membranes, medicines for drug delivery system, and cancer cell-killing embolic materials. Moreover, PVA fibers, gels, and films are potentially high-performance materials because they have high tensile and impact strengths, high tensile modulus, high abrasion resistance, excellent alkali resistance, and oxygen barrier property which are superior to those of any known polymers[1,2]. Mechanical and corrosion property of duplex stainless steel weldments made by the GTAW and SMAW process were studied. Fracture toughness, general and local corrosion resistance of GTAW and SMAW weldments were evaluated in terms of Charpy V notch impact test, anodic polarization diagram, pitting corrosion rate, respectively. SMA weld metal showed much lower impact toughness and higher ductile-brittle transition temperature than GTA weld metal. Fractographic and EDX analysis on fracture surface of SMA weld metal demonstrated the existence of (Si, Ti), oxide in large amounts. Potentiodynamic anodic polarization diagram of GMA weld metal showed much lower passive current density than SMA weld metal in 4% $H_2/SO_4$ solution. And pitting corrosion rate test showed the same tendency. Relating the microstructure, chemistry and property, it can be concluded that GTA weld metal gives better toughness due to lower oxygen content, i.e. lower inclusion content, and better corrosion resistance due to higher Pitting Index(PI) than SMA weld metal.
The Carbon/Carbon composite was prepared from 3D carbon fiber preform and coal tar pitch as matrix precursor. In order to evaluate of ablative characteristics of the composite, liquid rocket system was employed Kerosene and liquid oxygen was used as propellants, operating at a nominal chamber pressure of 330 psi and a nominal mixture ratio (O/F) of 2.0. The results of an experimental evaluation were that high density composite exhibited high, while low density composites showed low erosion resistance. The erosion rate against heat flux was highly depended on the density of the materials. The morphology of eroded fiber showed differently according to collision angle with heat flux on the composite. The granular matrix which derived from carbonization pressure of 900 bar was more resistance to heat flux than well-developed flow type matrix.

Galvalume sheet steel was developed recently, and is used widely in several fields. It has and had a good corrosion resistance in open atmosphere, but it has week corrosion resistance in the ambient surroundings of an airtight packing. Therefore, black patina was synthesized on the surface of Galvalume sheet steel. Corrosion by moisture on a Galvalume surface begins from edge of a droplet and proceeds to the center of droplet. It begins mainly on the interdendritic structure instead of dendritic structure. This suggests that corrosion by moisture occurs on the Zn shrinkage hole from rapid air cooling. In addition, the initial corrosion occurs by the local cell and continues by the oxygen concentration cell.
In this work, properties of ABS/AES blends were investigated. Blends were prepared by casting from THF. The thermal stability, light resistance, storage modulus and flame retardancy were measured by thermogravimetric analysis, cole. difference in Fade-o-meter, Rheovibron, and limiting oxygen index(LOI). The thermal stability, light resistance and storage modulus increased with increasing contents of AES. ABS and AES showed similar LOI. The LOI of the ABS/AES blends increased with rising contents of AES but all the blends were found to be flammable. It was observed that ABS and AES was incompatible from the morphology by scanning electron microscope(SEM).
