A Study on the Status and Problem Concerning Overseas Shopping Service (중국의 해외구매대행 현황과 문제점에 관한 연구)

  • With the steady growth of our nation's economy, the purchase power of our domestic citizens has continuously enhanced. In recent years, online overseas shopping has rapidly warmed up, increasing number of Chinese people have started to purchase overseas products via internet. According to China's current legislation, the imported goods are divided into goods and items based on "profitability standard", and regulated by different rules of clearance supervision and import duties. Goods can't pass through custom and pay duties in the form of items, and the import duties burden of goods is generally much heavier than that of items. Goods of entrusted overseas shopping pass through custom and pay duties in the form of items, but goods of profitable purchasing are goods, not items. Therefore, the profitable-purchasing behavior is smuggling. Although goods of unprofitable purchasing are items, unprofitable-purchasing behavior may also constitute smuggling. The author concludes that causes of smuggling crime are: huge market demand for overseas goods, lack of customs supervision, law blank of petty foreign trade, and public's misconception of entrusted overseas purchasing are the major factors. The author proposes the corresponding preventive measures against the crime, such as to establish an one-stop service system in online Shopping Mall, to modify the Passengers' Baggage Declaration Form, to establish a relatively simplified clearance system of small cargo, to establish a relatively reasonable import duties of petty trade.

The Effects of General Country Attributes and General Service Product Attributes on Chinese Consumers' Pre-Assessment and Usage Intention for International Internet Shopping Mall Services According to Their Using Experiences (서비스이용경험에 따른 일반국가속성과 서비스상품속성이 중국소비자의 해외 인터넷쇼핑몰서비스 사전평가와 이용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the country image, the pre-assessment, and the usage intention about overseas internet shopping mall service in china and how these factors are related to one another according to internet shopping mall using experience. And this study divided the country image for internet shopping mall service into two components : general country attribute and general service product attribute. In this study it is found that the country image of international internet shopping service is directly related to the pre-assessment, and the pre-assessment is related to usage intention especially in case that chinese consumer has a lot of internet shopping mall using experience. In the other case, the general country attributes affect the general service product attributes but the general service product attributes don't have any relationship with the pre-assessment. For a successful international internet shopping mall service business in China, marketer should recognize that it is important to formulate the policy extending the internet shopping mall experience as well as using the country image.

  • As the number of people going aboard is growing and technology is developed rapidly, Chinese customers are also getting better understanding about overseas products, and they hope to get less expensive and better ones, which leads to the growth of the online overseas purchasing agent service. In this paper, we tried to analyze the factors that impact the usage of online overseas purchasing agent service using the survey data. We found that customers pursue not only the reasonable prices but also enjoyment of shopping in the online overseas purchasing agent service. In addition, product scarcity and the information literacy of a customer were positively related with the use of online overseas purchasing agent service.

  • A number of Chinese students who are studying in Korea have been gradually increasing since Korea and China established diplomatic relations. Many of them sale Korean products to China while studying for their degree programs in colleges. This kind of transactions can be named C2C overseas direct sales. C2C overseas direct sales which are being performed by Chinese student are good for exportation of Korean products. However Some of these transactions are not legal according to present law, First, Chinese student don't have legal status to make the transactions. Second, Chinese students usually make false declarations for evading the taxes, including tariff and VAT, Third, Chinese students can not offer the after-sale service for the goods for the Chinese consumers. Although C2C transactions have some legal matters, they should not be banned by a one-size-fits-all method. In this study, we highly recommend for the development of C2C transactions, First, Korean government should give Chinese students legal status. Second, China customs must strictly prohibit illegal activities of smuggling by taking advantage of postal route. Third, sellers in China can offer the after-sale service to consumers through some specialist A/S firms.

The Effect of Xiaohongshu Service Quality on the Stickiness Through the Emotional Responses of Users

  • Xiaohongshu is called China's Instagram and is leading overseas product purchases and culture sharing. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationship between Xiaohongshu service quality, emotional response perceived by users, and adhesion to confirm the impact on Xiaohongshu's adhesion at a time when non-face-to-face activities due to COVID-19 have increased. This study distributed and collected questionnaires from October 1st to October 7th, 2021, targeting 210 online shopping mall users. The research results were derived from a total of 206 questionnaires, excluding 4 questionnaires such as omission of record contents, and the causal relationship of the existing PAD model was attempted to be reported by revising and supplementing the existing PAD model. As a result of the study, first, it was confirmed that design among service quality had a positive effect only on ventilation during the user's emotional response. Second, it was confirmed that information among service quality had a positive effect on pleasure and ventilation among users' emotional responses. Third, it was found that security among service quality had a positive effect on pleasure among users' emotional responses. Finally, it was found that pleasure and ventilation had a positive effect on adhesion in the user's emotional response. Based on this result, it is expected that it will be used for operation on other online platforms than the plan for the development of Xiaohongshu.

  • Recently commercialized network are getting more and more popular, bringing dramatic change to the market. We can predict the future of the E-commerce. The ongoing E-commerce and SNS (Social Networking Services)related E-commerce are increasing greatly both in Korea and China. This research tries to focus on Chinese consumers using E-commerce. The study has four findings. Firstly, the E-commerce consumers consider four factors including price, convenience, products and website, which affect the sellers' integrity. Secondly, E-commerce will affect sellers' integrity. Third, there are 4 factors which affect the sellers' integrity: service, price, products and the information. Fourth, the factors which affect the integrity of sellers are the value, happiness and practical. This study want to give some hints to the E-commerce in the overseas market in China.
