고무와 화학제품 제조업 산업장의 작업환경실태에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on the Status of Working Environment of Some Rubber and Chemical Products Manufacturing Industries in Busan)

  • This study was conducted in order to investigate the status of harmful working environ ment on twelve rubber and ten chemical products manufacturing industries in Busan area over a period of five months from lune 1 to October 31, 1980. The summarized results were as follows: 1. The highest and lowest mean values of harmful environmental elements in workroom of rubber products manufacturing industries were noted in twisting (98.7dB) and coating department (77.3dB) to noise, molding ($6.43mg/m^3$) and forming ($1.33mg/m^3$) to dust, bonding (toluene 463.7ppm, xylene 457.8ppm and benzene 111.8ppm, respectively) and splicing (toluene 90.0ppm, xylene 83.3ppm and benzene 6.7ppm, respectively) to organic solvents, respectively. Also in chemical products manufacturing, they were noted in grinding (95.1dB) and shining department (76.8dB) to noise, packing ($4.30mg/m^3$) and staining ($3.20mg/m^3$) to dust, shining (393.3ppm and 375.0ppm, respectively) and varnishing(125.5ppm and 121.7ppm, respectively) to toluene and xylene, and scattering (51.8ppm) and mixing (23.9ppm) to benzene, respectively. 2. The mean values of harmful elements in workroom of rubber products manufacturing were 86.3dB to noise, $4.16mg/m^3$ to dust, 258.2ppm to toluene, 230.3ppm to xylene, and 5 4.0ppm to benzene, respectively. Also in chemical products manufacturing, they were 85.2dB to noise, $3.69mg/m^3$ to dust, 227.9ppm to toluene, 213.2ppm to xylene, and 36.3ppm to benzene, respectively. 3. Number of workers exposed to harmful working environment, over TLV, of a total 10,195 workers in rubber products manufacturing were 1,002(9.8%) to noise, 212 (2.1%) to dust, 1,581(15.5%) to toluene, 1,509(14,8%) to xylene, and 1,524(15.0%) to benzene, respectively. Number of workers exposed to harmful working environment, over TLV, of a 1,913 workers in chemical products manufacturing were 112(5.9%) to noise, 132(6.9%) to each organic solvent, respectively. 4. The values of noise and dust of rubber and chemical products manufacturing in 1980 were lower then those in 1977, but the value of organic solvent in 1980 was similar with that in 1977.

연기 장재리 출토 철겸의 제작방법 연구 (A Study on Manufacturing Method of iron Sickles Found in Jangjae-ri, Yeongi, Korea)

  • 철겸은 다양한 형태를 가지고 다양한 용도로 사용된 도구이다. 농기구는 물론 무기로 사용된 경우도 있다. 지금까지의 연구는 주로 농기구의 특징에 초점을 맞추어 형태적 변화에 대해 이루어졌다. 과학적 분석 사례는 많지 않으므로 이 논문에서는 철겸의 금속학적 분석에 대해 다루고자 하였다. 연기 장재리의 철겸 2점을 분석하고 인근 유적인 연기 송원리에서 출토된 철겸의 금속학적 연구 결과와 비교하였다. 3점 모두 단조 성형, 열처리 공정으로 제작되었다. 연기 장재리의 No.1 철겸은 담금질의 마르텐사이트 조직이 확인되었다. 연기 장재리의 No.2 철겸은 다른 2점에 비해 고온의 제작환경을 겪었던 것으로 나타났다. 이로 보아 연기 송원리의 철겸보다는 기술적 난이도가 높았던 것을 알 수 있었다.

내시경과 선택적 도뇨관 풍선을 이용한 안와하벽복원술 (Orbital Floor Reconstruction Using Endoscope and Selected Urethral Balloon Catheter)

  • Purpose: Blow-out fractures can be reduced using various methods. The orbital reconstruction technique using a balloon under endoscopic control has advantages over other methods. However, this method has some problems too, such as postoperative follow-up, management of the balloon catheter, and reduction of the posterior orbital floor. Thus, we developed a simple, effective method for orbital floor reduction that involves molding and shaping the antral balloon catheter. Methods: A 0, 30, or $70^{\circ}$, 4-mm endoscope was placed though a two-point, 5-mm maxillary antrostomy. The balloon catheter is placed directly at the orbital apex to reconstruct the anterior shelf (spherical shape), while it is turned in a U-shape towards the anterior maxilla for the posterior shelf (elliptical shape). Orbital floor defects, compound or comminuted fractures are reconstructed with alloplastic materials through an open lid incision under the endoscopic control. Results: This technique was applied to ten patients with orbital floor fractures: five anterior shelf and five posterior shelf fracture, respectively. Four of the patients had zygomatico-orbital fractures, while the rest had isolated orbital floor fractures. Two patients were given porous polyethylene implants Synpor$^{(R)}$) and three underwent reconstruction with a resorbable mesh plate. No complication associated with this technique was identified. Conclusion: The freestyle placement and selection of a urinary balloon catheter under endoscopic control and the preoperative estimation of the volume enhanced the stabilization of the orbital contour. This method improves the adaptation of the orbital floor without the risk of injuring the surrounding orbital contents, dissecting blindly, or using sharp traction. One drawback of this method is the patient's discomfort from the catheter during treatment.

아세트알데히드와 오존 복합악취 저감을 위한 망간기반 촉매 성능 연구 (A Study on the Removal of Complex Odor including Acetaldehyde and Ozone Over Manganese-based Catalysts)

  • 본 연구에서는 대형 직화구이 음식점으로부터 배출되는 유증기 및 미세먼지 제거를 위해 습식 플라즈마 전기집진 공정을 적용할 경우, 집진공정 후단에서 나오는 잔여 오존을 활용하여 제거되지 않은 아세트알데히드와 오존을 제거함으로써 복합악취를 저감할 수 있는 오존 산화 촉매 공정을 개발하였다. 망간산화물 기반 촉매는 분말 촉매 제조 후 압출하여 펠렛 형태로 성형하였으며, 성형촉매 상에서 아세트알데히드와 오존 모두 높은 제거율을 나타낼 수 있도록 최적 조건을 도출하고자 하였다. 제조한 $Mn_2O_3$$CuMnO_x$ 촉매는 각각의 성능을 평가하였으며, 이 두 가지 촉매를 2단으로 적용하였을 때 공간속도 $10,000h^{-1}$, 반응온도 $100^{\circ}C$인 조건에서 아세트알데히드는 85% 이상, 오존은 100% 저감시킬 수 있었다.

무인항공기용 경량화 직접메탄올연료전지 스택 개발을 위한 복합소재 분리판 제작 및 성능 평가 (I) (Evaluation and Fabrication of Composite Bipolar Plate to Develop a Light Weight Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Stack for Small-scale UAV Application (I))

  • A bipolar plate is a major component of a fuel cell stack, which occupies 50~60% of the total weight and over 50% of the total cost of a typical fuel cell stack. In this study, a composite bipolar plate is designed and fabricated to develop a compact and light-weight direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) stack for a small-scale Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) application. The composite bipolar plates for DMFCs are prepared by a compression molding method using resole type phenol resin as a binder and natural graphite and carbon black as a conductor filler and tested in terms of electrical conductivity, mechanical strength and hydrogen permeability. The flexural strength of 63 MPa and the in-plane electrical conductivities of 191 S $cm^{-1}$ are achieved under the optimum bipolar plate composition of phenol : 18%; natural graphite : 82%; carbon black : 3%, indicating that the composite bipolar plates exhibit sufficient mechanical strength, electrical conductivity and hydrogen permeability to be applied in a DMFC stack. A DMFC with the composite bipolar plate is tested and shows a similar cell performance with a conventional DMFC with graphite-based bipolar plate.

고온에서 $GA_3$처리가 자소의 발아에 미치는 영향 (Effect of $GA_3$ on Germination of Perilla frutescens var. acuta KUDO under High Temperature)

  • 자소엽의 연중생산에 필요한 파종전처리 기술을 확립하기 위하여, 자소종자의 $GA_3$ 처리시 적정 처리농도, 침지시간 및 고온발아에 미치는 영향을 조사하였고, 만기파종시 포장에서 $GA_3$ 처리, 복토깊이 및 왕겨피복 등이 출아에 미치는 상호작용을 비교하였다. $GA_3$ 처리농도에 따른 발아특성은 100 ppm에서 가장 좋았으며, 100 ppm $GA_3$ 처리시 종자의 침지시간에 따른 발아특성은 12시간 이상에서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 발아온도에 따른 100 ppm $GA_3$ 처리효과는 온도가 높을수록 발아속도와 발아일수가 빨라졌으며, 11일째에는 발아온도에 관계없이 95%이상의 높은 발아율을 보였으나, 무처리구는 $20^{\circ}C$ 이상 온도가 높을수록 발아율이 낮았다. 만기파종시 출아율은 파종시기에 관계없이 100 ppm $GA_3$용액에 침지파종후 5 mm의 복토와 10 mm 왕겨피복구에서 가장 높았다.

과립분말 유동성 변화가 부조세라믹타일의 소결거동에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Flowability of Ceramic Tile Granule Powders on Sintering Behavior of Relief Ceramic Tile)

  • Used in the ceramic tile market as a representative building material, relief ceramic tile is showing increased demand recently. Since ceramic tiles are manufactured through a sintering process at over 1,000 ℃ after uniaxial compression molding by loading granule powders into a mold, it is very important to secure the flowability of granular powders in a mold having a relief pattern. In this study, kaolin, silica, and feldspar are used as starting materials to prepare granule powders by a spray dryer process; the surface of the granule powders is subject to hydrophobic treatment with various concentrations of stearic acid. The effect on the flowability of the granular powder according to the change of stearic acid concentration is confirmed by measuring the angle of repose, tap density, and compressibility, and the occurrence of cracks in the green body produced in the mold with the relief pattern is observed. Then, the green body is sintered by a fast firing process, and the water absorption, flexural strength, and durability are evaluated. The surface treatment of the granule powders with stearic acid improves the flowability of the granule powders, leading to a dense microstructure of the sintered body. Finally, the hydrophobic treatment of the granule powders makes it possible to manufacture relief ceramic tiles having a flexural strength of 292 N/cm, a water absorption of 0.91 %, and excellent mechanical durability.

단면 분석을 통한 자동차용 리어 서브-프레임 하이드로포밍 부품의 공정 제어 및 설계 (Hydro-forming Process Control and Design Concept of Automotive Rear Sub-frame Components Through Cross Sectional Analysis)

  • 하이드로포밍 기술은 지난 20년간 자동차부품의 적용을 중심으로 비약적인 발전을 해 왔다. 이 기술은 자동차 산업응용분야에 많은 장점을 가지고 있는데 이는 더 나은 구조적 강건성, 부품수 감소에 기인한 비용절감, 재료절약, 무게감소, 낮은 스프링백현상, 개선된 강도, 내구성 향상, 설계 유연성 등이다. 하이드로포밍 부품의 성형성 검토를 위하여 다양한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 기술 등이 발달해 왔으며 이를 통해 성형 가능성을 검토하는 것과 동시에 성형을 위하여 벤딩 공정, 프리포밍공정, 다이클로징 공정 등의 효율적인 공정을 수립하여 하이드로포밍 부품들을 설계하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 하이드로포밍 부품 설계 시 고려사항 중 성형량, 부품의 단면길이(하이드로포밍 프레스 용량에 맞는), 최소 곡률(하이드로포밍 압력에 따른 곡률 영향 평가) 등을 제시하고 실제 자동차용 리어 서브-프레임 부품의 단면분석을 실시함으로써 하이드로포밍 성형을 위한 설계 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 아울러 하이드로포밍 공정인자 중 프리벤딩, 축피딩, 유압 압력, 프레스 하중, 마찰 등의 효과를 분석하여 이들 공정이 직접적인 하이드로포밍 성형에 필요인자 인지 등을 고찰하였다.

50nm급 불연속 나선형 패턴의 마스터 제작 (Fabrication of Master for a Spiral Pattern in the Order of 50nm)

  • A spirally arrayed nano-pattern is designed as a model pattern for the next generation optical storage media. The pattern consists off types of embossed rectangular dot, which are 50nm, 100nm, 150nm and 200nm in length and 50nm in width. The height of the dot is designed to be 50nm. The pitch of the spiral track of the pattern is 100nm. A ER(Electron resist) master for this pattern is fabricated by e-beam lithography process. The ER is first spin-coated to be 50nm thick on a Si wafer and then the model pattern is written on the coated ER layer by e-beam. After developing this pattern written wafer in the solution, a ER pattern master is fabricated. The most conventional e-beam machine can write patterns in orthogonal way, so we made our own pattern generator which can write the pattern in circular or spiral way. This program generates the patterns to be compatible with the e-beam machine from Raith(Raith 150). To fabricate 50nm pattern master precisely, a series of experiments were done including the design compensation for the pattern size, optimization of the dose, acceleration voltage, aperture size and developing. Through these experiments, we conclude that the higher accelerating voltages and smaller aperture size are better for mastering the nano pattern which is in order of 50nm. With the optimized e-beam lithography process, a spiral arrayed 50nm pattern master adopting PMMA resist was fabricated to have dimensional accuracy over 95% compared to the designed. Using this pattern master, a metal pattern stamp will be fabricated by Ni electro plating for injection molding of the patterned plastic substrate.

금속수소화물 기반 수소저장시스템의 열관리 인자 조사 (Investigation of Thermal Management Parameters of Metal Hydride Based Hydrogen Storage System)

  • Metal hydride based hydrogen storage under moderate temperature and pressure gives the safety advantage over the gas and liquid storage methods. Still solid-state hydrogen storage including metal hydride is below the DOE target level for automotive applications, but it can be adapted to stationary or miliary application reasonably. In order to develop a modular solid state hydrogen storage system that can be applied to a distributed power supply system composed of renewable energy - water electrolysis - fuel cell, the heat transfer and hydrogen storage characteristics of the metal hydride necessary for the module system design were investigated using AB5 type metal hydride, LCN2 ($La_{0.9}Ce_{0.1}Ni_5$). The planetary high energy mill (PHEM) treatment of LCN2 confirmed the initial hydrogen storage activation and hydrogen storage capacity through surface modification of LCN2 material. Expanded natural graphite (ENG) addition to LCN2, and compression molding at 500 atm improved the thermal conductivity of the solid hydrogen storage material.
