과전류 계측을 위한 광자계센서의 구현 (Implementation of Optical Magnetic Field Sensor for Measurement of Over Current)

  • The conventional current transformers are often take faults and out of order that for detect to over current of electric power lines because electromagnetic interference. But, it is possible to implement protection relay of high reliability using optical magnetic field sensor which are immunity and small size. The optical magnetic field sensor is possible to rapidly detect to over current and recover when electric power line have fault. And it is not necessary to make with capacitance of electric power lines as optical magnetic field sensor is have linearity from 0 to about 20kA. In this study, we designed and constructed compensative feedback circuit in order to minimize of optical power intensity variation with environ- mental variations(temperature, drive current) of light source. And this system have highest optical advantages and reliability.

  • Recently, the load increasement and regenerative system of electrified railway system make a difficult to distinguish between the load current and fault current and it need a new intelligent protection system. The failure of traction system cause collapse of the other systems from high tension current. The over current from abnormal situation produces high tension current flow, high temperature are, voltage instability and current cutting, and break down railway systems. Protective system of traction system playa role of which detect and isolate failure points. In this paper, we proposed intelligent algorithm for discriminating normal and abnormal situation instead of the system being operated abnormally.

Corrosion Rate of Buried Pipeline by Alternating Current

  • An alternating current (AC) corrosion on buried pipeline has been studied using coupon and ER probe. Coupons and ER probes were applied to the sites from high value of AC voltage to low value based on the survey of AC voltages on buried gas transmission pipeline over the country. Parameters such as AC current density of coupon, AC voltage, cathodic protection potential, soil resistivity and frequency were monitored continually. Corrosion induced by AC was observed even under cathodically protected condition that met cathodic protection criterion (; below -850 mV vs. CSE). Corrosion rate was affected mainly not by AC voltage but by both of frequency and AC current density. An experimental corrosion rate relation could be obtained according to effective AC current density, in which AC corrosion rate increased linearly with effective AC current density, and its slope was 0.619 in coupon method and 0.885 in ER probes.

선박용 ICCP 제어 감시 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the ICCP Control and Monitoring System for Ship)

  • This thesis is about the Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) control and monitoring system. which brings protection against the corrosion of the ship's hull in the sea environments. The ICCP system is composed of a power supply. anode. reference electrode and controller. AC sources from the ship's generator are converted to DC sources in terms of power supply, and a protection current is sent to ship's hull though anode. The controller fully senses whether or not the detected potential is within a range of protection of ship's hull and then it is automatically controlled to increase or decrease the amount of protective current to be sent to the anode. The monitoring system with RS 232/485 communication is also studied in order to check the normal state of the system at a long period. because an operator does not always watch over this system and thus the system cannot operate well because of his or her negligent management. Since the vessel always navigates in the sea. an characteristics experiment of the ICCP system is conducted by introducing various corrosive environmental factors such as velocity, resistivity, dissolved oxygen, PH, temperature and contamination degree. These results must be referred to when the ICCP system is set up. In short. the ICCP is a multi-system for use on ships and on land structures because it includes a safety device. It is suggested that this system can accomodate a ship's automation and will be very useful.

LED 정전류 적응 제어 회로 설계 (Design of Adaptive Current Control Circuits for LEDs)

  • An effective way to ensure that LEDs produce wanted light output is to use a current driving topology, because the brightness of LEDs is directly related to their current. However, this topology may lead to the lifetime shortening of a illumination system because over-currents may flow through non-damaged LEDs in case some LEDs are damaged. This paper presents an adaptive current control circuits for LEDs, which protect LEDs in a good state by limiting the driving currents according to the number of damaged ones. The proposed control circuits consist of a simple constant-current driver and a micro-controller which monitors the voltage of LED array without any auxiliary current sensors for fault diagnosis. And the driving current is automatically controlled into 6-levels according to the number of failures.

분산전원이 연계된 배전계통에 보호협조기기 평가시스템의 최적운용에 관한 연구 (A study on Optimal Operation of Protection Coordination Devices Evaluation System in Distribution System with Distributed Sources)

  • 최근 배전계통은 정부의 녹색성장 정책으로 태양광, 풍력발전 등과 같은 분산전원의 보급률이 지속적으로 증가되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 분산전원의 연계로 기존 배전계통의 조류흐름은 단방향(One-direction)에서 양방향(Bi-direction)으로 변화되고, 고장전류의 증 감이 발생하는 등, 다양한 변화가 생겨 배전계통의 운용상에 여러 가지 문제점들이 발생할 가능성이 커지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 분산전원의 배전계통 연계에 따른 보호기기의 정정 및 양방향 보호협조 검토가 가능한 보호협조 평가알고리즘과 실제의 사고전류 값을 이용한 개선된 T-C곡선 알고리즘을 제안하고, 이 알고리즘을 바탕으로 양방향 보호협조 평가시스템을 개선하였다. 또한 평가시스템을 이용하여 배전계통을 모델링하고, 분산전원 연계 시 보호기기들 간의 보호협조를 검토하여, 분산전원이 연계된 경우 배전계통에 발생할 수 있는 기술적인 문제점들을 분석하여 그 방안을 제시하였다.

  • This paper discribed the characteristic of I-t cross-over-point between current limited-fuse and explusion fuse(Bay-O-Net Fuse) and fuse protection in pad-mounted transformer that was generated internal faults and the short circuit of secondary side(load side). In the I-t cross-over-point, current limited fuse was melted when transient recovery voltage was raised rapidly.

  • 본 연구에서는 전력계통에서 배전반 자동화 장치중 하나인 ACB(air circuit breaker) controller로 사용되는 OCR(Over Current Protection Relay)의 지능화와 성능개선을 모색하고자 한다. 개발된 이 장치는 전력계통에서 전류의 흐름을 지능화 알고리즘으로 감시하여 최적으로 사고를 방지할 수 있으며, 대화형의 다양한 기능과 통신기능을 내장하고 있어 원격제어 및 관리가 가능하는 특징을 포함한다.

대용량 태양광전원이 연계된 배전선로에 있어서 보호협조기기의 최적 운용알고리즘 (Optimal Operation Algorithm of Protection Devices in Distribution Systems With PV System)

  • 최근, 대용량의 태양광전원이 연계된 배전계통은 기존의 단방향과 달리 양방향의 조류가 발생하고, 태양광전원의 연계위치 및 고장위치에 따라 사고전류의 크기와 방향이 변하여, 보호기기간의 협조시간차가 충분히 확보되지 않는 문제점이 발생할 수 있다. 또한, 태양광전원을 고려하지 않은 기존의 보호기기 정정치를 그대로 적용하고 있어 보호기기간의 협조시간차를 확보하기 어려운 상황이 발생하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 태양광전원이 연계된 선로에서 고려할 수 있는 3가지 Case의 보호기기 정정치 운용모드를 제시하고, 이를 바탕으로 태양광전원의 용량에 따른 최적의 보호협조 시간을 도출할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 한편, 이를 바탕으로 보호협조 전용소프트웨어인 Off-DAS를 이용하여, 태양광전원이 연계된 배전계통을 모델링하고, 보호기기(변전소 계전기, 리클로저(Recloser), 고객계전기, 태양광전원 고객계전기)간의 협조시간차 특성을 분석한다. 실 계통을 대상으로 시뮬레이션을 수행한 결과, 본 논문에서 제시한 보호기기의 정정치 운용 모드와 정정치 산정 방식이 태양광 전원이 연계된 배전계통 보호기기간의 협조시간을 안정적으로 확보할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.
