Effects of Pharmaceutical Salesperson's Perception on Core Capabilities -Focusing on the Company Culture and Reputation of Pharmaceutical Companies-

  • Due to rapid environmental-change pharmaceutical industry, sales strategy for sales survival of pharmaceutical company is necessary. In accordance with the rapid development of medicine and advancement of efforts to secure the market, competition among pharmaceutical companies make an effort to achieve their goals. However, due to various negative influence of inside and outside, this field is getting a difficult occupation. Even when securing and training new employees with quite a bit of expense and time, the rate of surviving employees over 1 year is decreasing. For this, the researcher suggested major research result through actual investigation by utilizing survey technique, and a plan to enhance pharmaceutical company salespersons' core competence and raise sales achievement. As the research result, company culture strongly influences salespersons' sales ability. We defined the formation of organizational culture, which influences communication culture where smooth communication is made in the company, also, definite and exact evaluation in promoting work, and trust formation between upper and lower organization, is important, which should be reflected in the company field.

  • Recently, Intense competition is expected to bring about continuous change with the rapid global aviation industry. In particular, domestic passenger demand has been steadily increasing over the past five years, with domestic and international shipments growing at a CAGR of 8.4% and 10.0%, respectively. In addition to the economic value of the airport, social interest due to greenhouse gas emissions is also rising. In this study, we analyzed the efficiency of airport operation by using DEA model(Directional Technology Distance Function) considering undesirable output for 14 airports in Korea. As a result of analysis, all airports except Gimhae, Yangyang, Cheongju and Yeosu were analyzed as efficient airports. However, only Gimpo, Gimhae, Jeju, Muan, Daegu and Gwangju were analyzed as efficient airports considering the undesirable output.

  • This Study aims to analyze the factors for the success of commercialization of the facial extraction and recognition image security information system of the domestic companies in Korea. As the results of the analysis, the internal factors for the success of commercialization of the facial extraction and recognition image security information system of the company were found to include (1) Holding of technology for close range facial recognition, (2) Holding of several facial recognition related patents, (3) Preference for the facial recognition security system over the fingerprint recognition and (4) strong volition of the CEO of the corresponding company. On the other hand, the external environmental factors for the success were found to include (1) Extensiveness of the market, (2) Rapid growth of the global facial recognition market, (3) Increased demand for the image security system, (4) Competition in securing of the engine for facial extraction and recognition and (5) Selection by the government as one of the 100 major strategic products.

Hydroiminoacylation of Allyl and Homoallyl Alcohol Derivatives with Benzalimide and Solvolysis of Hydroacylated Products

  • Hydroiminoacylations of allyl and homoallyl alcohol and their derivatives with benzaldimine by Wilkinson's complex have been studied. All these terminal alkene derivatives except allyl alcohol were hydroacylated according to anti-Markownikoff's rule to give the corresponding linear alkyl compounds without showing oxygen directing effect, even though hydroiminoacylation of 3-acetoxy-1,5-hexadiene showed strong allyloxy directing effect over homoallyloxy directing effect in a 92:8 ratio. Solvolysis of 4-acetoxy-1-phenylbutan-1-one, previously prepared by hydroiminoacylation, in ethanol led to etherification giving 4-ethoxy-1-phenylbutan-1-one through neighbouring group participation, while that of 5-acetoxy-1-phenylpentan-1-one led to common transesterification giving 5-hydroxy-1-phenylpentan-1-one. Application of branched alkanols such as isopropanol and t-butanolin solvolysis of 4-acetoxy-1-phenylbutan-1-one underwent competition between etherification and transesterification.

  • Fermented milk including yogurt, which has a long tradition of thousands of years, was first established in Korea in 1919, and the current market size has grown to over 90 billion dollars. Fermented milk, which began in the early days of liquid yogurt, appeared on the market as spoonable and drinking yogurt. Fermented milk began with research on intestinal health functions and lactobacilli, and gradually developed into various disease prevention studies such as gastrointestinal health, immunity improvement, skin beauty, and prevention of dementia. As a simple meal, it has a nutrient function element, which serves as a meal replacement, and is expanding its range from general foods to special-purpose foods and dietary supplements. Fierce market competition is taking place, and as a result, the domestic fermented milk market is developing through the development of various products for differentiation.

  • Since Richard Feynman presented the concept of quantum computers, quantum computing have been identified today overcoming the limits of supercomputing in various applications. Quantum hardware has steadily developed into 50 to hundreds of qubits of various quantum hardware technologies based on superconductors, semiconductors, and trapped ions over 40 years. However, it is possible to use a NISQ (Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum) level quantum device that currently has hardware constraints. In addition, the software environment in which quantum algorithms for problem solving in various applications can be executed is pursuing research with quantum computing software such as programming language, compiler, control, testing and verification. The development of quantum software is essential amid intensifying technological competition for the commercialization of quantum computers. Therefore, this paper introduces the trends of the latest technology, focusing on quantum computing software platforms, and examines important software component technologies.

  • Although the two types of currencies compete, the possibility of a virtual currency price bubble is diagnosed by assuming an economic model with currencies (won, virtual currency) that are intrinsically worthless. The won is supplied by the central bank to achieve the price stability target, while the supply of virtual currency increases by a fixed number. According to the basic price theory equation, as a simple proposition, cryptocurrency prices form a Martin Gale process [Schilling and Uhlig, 2019, p.20]. Based on the existing theoretical proposition, we applied the variance ratio verification method [Linton and Smetanina, 2016] and a simple technical chart method for empirical analysis. For the purpose of this study, the possibility of a bubble was empirically analyzed by analyzing the price volatility formed in the Korean virtual currency market over the past year, and brief policy implications for this were presented.

  • Recently orders of projects in the field of oil and gas plants have increased due to rising oil prices and consumption. The markets of oil and gas plants are expanding into the Middle East area and all over the world. Because the oil and gas markets have a lot of overseas construction operations, competition among advanced companies is more important. However, companies in the period of growth have not had enough competitive powers of license in the design phase. Therefore, they are faced with difficulty of adopting the technology which is maximizing the effect of investments, and scheduling of a long-range plan. In order to achieve adequate technology management and competitive power, this study considers a long-range plan through an analysis of an appropriate introduction and the strategic planning process of technology management.

Innovation is the process by which an enterprise develops new products, services, processes or management systems to meet requirements due to the change of business environment, technology. The results of implementing innovation increase capacity of the business, thereby helping the business to develop sustainably in the face of market trends and competition from competitors. This paper aims to explore the current status of innovation activities as well as proposes solutions to develop innovation activities for Vietnamese enterprises. The proposed solutions in this study paper create a premise to improve the competitiveness and sustainable growth of enterprises in the context of deeper and more comprehensive international economic integration.

Assessing the Impact of Network Effects on Brand Choice in the Growth Market: A Multi-Brand Diffusion Model

  • This study investigates network effects to measure how strongly the early adopters affect the brand choice of the potential consumer. By using the Gumbel-Hougaard (GH) copula, this study checks the magnitude of network effects varied from country to country. To consider consumer heterogeneity and network effects in the growth market, this study proposes the multi-brand Gamma/Shifted-Gompertz (m-G/SG) model based on the GH copula. Out of eighteen Western European cellular phone market data and South Korea smartphone data sets, the m-G/SG model provides an improvement in the estimation accuracy over the Libai, Muller, and Peres model. The results show that network effects enhance (i) the polarization of brand choice probabilities as time elapses; (ii) the dominance of the more preferred and the earlier entered brand; and (iii) the deceleration of category-level diffusion. Potential followers can analyze their relationship with earlier entrants through the m-G/SG model and also establish an optimal market entry strategy.
